On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call at XXXX from telephone number XXXX. The woman calling offered to refinance my mortgage at a lower rate. I informed her that I just refinanced in XX/XX/XXXX and, therefore, had no intentions of refinancing again. I requested she take me off the call list.
On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I received another call from telephone number XXXX. This time, a woman named XXXX offered to refinance my mortgage at a lower rate. I explained to XXXX that I received the same phone call yesterday, told the previous caller that I recently refinanced, had no intentions of refinancing again, and had requested she take me off the call list. Furthermore, I did tell XXXX that I was being nice now but that I wouldn't be nice in the future if the calls continued. XXXX quipped back with, " Well, you didn't talk to me so you have no reason to be anything but nice to me, " and then proceeded to hang up.
I immediately called the number back and was hung up on again. I then called back a second time. The man that answered asked for me. I explained to him that I wanted taken off the call list. He then hung up on me.
Finally, I reached a telemarketer that transferred me to a supervisor named XXXX. I asked XXXX for the name of the company. He told me, " Resource Marketing Corporation. '' I asked XXXX if they were in Georgia as they were calling from a Georgia area code. He informed me that they were located in New York. I informed XXXX of the incidents and informed him that the number they were calling was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. ( This was verified with an email - the number has been registered since XX/XX/XXXX ) XXXX was apologetic and assured me that he would reprimand XXXX for her actions.
