A debt in the amount of {$94.00} has been reported as a collection account on my credit reports since XX/XX/XXXX. The debt was a medical debt that was paid through an insurance settlement. The debt should never have been reported on my credit report as a collection debt as it was paid off by the law firm that handled my settlement. I disputed this item numerous times through the credit bureaus, but my attempts were unsuccessful. I even requested any documents to verify this debt, but never received anything from the company. Since I was able to actually obtain the documented proof of the paid debt from the law firm that handled the case, I had this item re-investigated in XX/XX/XXXX through the credit bureaus. This item still came back having been verified as a collection debt owed by me. Obviously, neither the Receivable Solution Specialist ( collection company ) or XXXX XXXX XXXX ( originator ) took the time to properly verify that this account was paid. After calling Receivable Solution Specialist and getting nowhere, I called XXXX XXXX XXXX, who originally reported the debt. They immediately realized this was an error. I spoke to them back in XXXX and they apologized and informed me the item would be removed. This item is still on my credit reports as an unpaid collection account. Had the XXXX XXXX XXXX or Receivable Solution Specialist properly checked their information, it would not have had to spend countless hours hours correcting their error.

On XX/XX/2018 I received a phone call from XXXX from XXXX with Receivable Solutions Specialists , Inc. saying ( 1st phone call ever and never received an invoice of dept ) : " Good morning this message is for XXXX XXXX my name is XXXX calling in regards to a personal business matter. Will you please return the call at XXXX ext. XXXX. Your reference number is XXXX thank you. '' It appears when speaking to them on XX/XX/2018 Supervisor XXXX advise me that the bill was pulled from XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$31.00} and should have never been acted upon on calling me. I received another call from XXXX and left another message advise me to call her. I call back to XXXX spoke to Supervisor XXXX advise me that the bill was pulled from collection and she will call the billing department to check into this matter closely and send me out a bill in which I never received before. She then threaten me that this will go onto my credit report. This bill was paid and I should not own any other dept from an automobile accident. Why did it take them so many years to contact me about a {$31.00} bill that the auto insurance company has taken care of. Please look into this matter because it appears to be threatening to me for someone who tells me that this will damage my credit rating and as a consumer I was not advise of this bill until XX/XX/2018.

In XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collections call from Receivable Solutions out of XXXX, XXXX regarding a medical bill. As I have had health insurance my entire life and there was no reason I should be receiving a bill ( co-pay was made at the time of service ), I contacted my insurance carrier to clarify. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX informed me that a medical provider from XXXX XXXX XXXX failed to timely bill my insurance for services and that the provider could not bill me for the service under the terms of their contract with XXXX. I relayed this information to the debt collector who understood and ceased attempting to contact me. Many years later ( coincidentally, after the statue for any fair debt collection action I may have against them ran ), they began periodically contacting me again and the debt continues to be reported to the credit bureaus. Because they have documented ownership of the debt, the bureaus will not remove the collection. I assume they do nothing to investigate my claims that the original debt is invalid. This company is unlawfully attempting to collect a debt against the terms of their contract with my previous insurer.

The credit agency, Receivable Solutions Specialists, Inc has not only tried to collect a debt I do not owe they have filed a report against me with the XXXX major credit bureaus. This has negatively impacted my credit. The debt belongs to my adult son. He is on my insurance but I am not responsible for his medical bills per the XXXX. I notified the agency of this but they are still sending bills in my name. I have never signed anything that I would assume responsibility for the debt.

I have written and requested that this information be removed from all credit reports because it is incorrect, and also asking for proof if they believe that they are correct. I called several times to pay my debt. I emailed as well. No one ever answered the phone or returned calls when messages were left. Thankfully I was able to pay thru the original creditor. I was trying to verify that the company was in fact real, and not a scan before I just mailed a check.
