Hello, I want to make you aware that a landlord is harassing me via debt collector, and this is now the second collector to try to collect on a debt that is not owed. The other agency dismisses XXXX XXXX XXXX and will no longer do business with them due to their practice.
I moved out in XX/XX/XXXX. I received a collection in XXXX XXXX. The agency went back to XXXX XXXX XXXX and asked for an itemized bill regarding their claim. They did not provide that information, so they stopped doing business on their behalf. Three months later, I received another debit collection notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The invoice claims payment due to the apartment not being cleaned. Per Illinois state law, they can not require payment for cleaning services. ( clean floors, swept balcony etc... ) I've contacted XXXX of the law and of the history of XXXX XXXX XXXX. If you know what government agency I can notify XXXX XXXX XXXX of their practices, I would like to report this harassment and disregard the state law.
