Back in XX/XX/2020 I received a call from a XXXX XXXX with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX He asked if I was struggling to make my payments because of XXXX XXXX and I answered Yes. He claimed to be able to Modify my home loans with the same term and reduced rate of 2 %. He asked me to make three checks {$830.00} each for XXXX, XXXX, XXXX made out to Document Center. He told me not to make the mortgage payments until modification was complete. I found out that they were not doing anything and I had to contact the mortgage to get the modification completed. XXXX XXXX claimed that once the modification was completed I would receive the three payments back from government subsidies. That never happened and he refused to take my calls. He had his assistant XXXX XXXX call me but she didn't have any answers as to why I never got a reduced rate, why the term was extended to XXXX years instead of the remaining XXXX years and she had no idea about the government subsidies to reimburse the first three payment made to Document Center. The phone number that I have for XXXX XXXX is XXXX. The number I have for XXXX XXXX is XXXX & XXXX all of which go to voice mails I think all are cell phones. The email I have is www.modcenter.org and XXXX What has hurt the most is that my credit went from XXXX to XXXX because they never did any modification and the mortgage companies reported me as being late XXXX days. XXXX claimed that they would let the credit companies know that I was going through financial hardship and my credit would not be affected. They never did and my credit was hit. Because my credit is so low now I can't even refinance. The checks were deposited to Document Service Center account # XXXX They did two loans for Bank XXXX XXXX and two loans for XXXX XXXX which they ruined in the end. I was tricked and taken advantage of.

I sent this company {$790.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. They promised to consolidate my student loans and after ten ( 10 ) years, I was told that I would have my loans forgiven altogether, as a teacher. I was quoted an initial monthly payment of {$170.00}, with insistence that this was the best program for me, participating in their financial-based loan-assistance program. Therefore, I had to lock in that rate and insisted up my credit card information. The next day XX/XX/XXXX, I tried calling to talk to my Enrollment Counselor, XXXX XXXX, to cancel, and could not contact him via e-mail or phone -- and it was that way for over a week. What I want is my money back. The main part of the contract is that they were supposed to submit my application. I was told Thursday XX/XX/XXXX that my application would not be submitted until XXXX ; but when I told them that I was going to work with XXXX directly and no longer wanted to work with their company, I was told they submitted my application that day. Their stories constantly change. For example, my payment went from {$170.00} to {$420.00} at one point. Yes, it 's income based -- but when one is unemployed and has no income, that appeared excessive. In addition, I have asked for a refund at least three different times -- there is no documentation of my ever asking for a refund on their end -- and I even talked to XXXX, the manager. When I talked to her this Thursday the XXXX, she told me that the Department of Education 's program was not as good as theirs and I was a fool to leave their company. Please help me get my refund.

I received a series of letters from the " Document Service Center '' that, if not fraudulent, were extremely misleading. The last letter I received stated that it was a " Final notice, '' listed the accurate principal balance on my loans ( how did they know this? ), and gave the benefits of consolidating my student loans. It gave information about the U.S. Department of Education and listed steps to create my Federal Student Aid ID through the Federal Aid website. In other words, this form appears official. However, I consolidated my loans in 2009 through the federal government and am already on a federal loan repayment plan. Further, the letter gives a phone number to call " to redeem your federal benefits '' ( XXXX ), which I know is not through the federal government. This is a highly misleading letter that is attempting to make money off of my student loan situation, taking me from the federal protections and obligations I currently have to fewer protections and new obligations through a private company. The fine print of the letter does that that " DSC is not affiliated with the government or any of its programs. '' However, I would like to report this because the letter, overall, is extremely misleading in character and may cause individuals in my or similar situations to consolidate their loans with a private company unknowingly.

I received a letter from the Assigned Department Document Service Center stating that they could help me consolidate my student loans. I called them and gave them my personal information in order to see what options were available to me. I spoke with XXXX XXXX. She offered me many options and then requested that there would be a fee associated with consolidating my loans. I gave her my personal checking account info but towards the end of the call felt very uneasy and asked to cancel the entire transaction. She got very angry with me and did not want to talk to me anymore. I asked her to send me an email stating that nothing would be processed and she was very reluctant to do so. I am worried that my information may have been compromised. I called them back and they said that as long as I did not go through the " compliance department '' then nothing would be processed and everything would be cleared in 24 hours. I am very uneasy about this and I am afraid they may charge me anyway. I have already called my bank to put a hold on my account.

Received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX Stated his company name and that he could process paperwork for getting my mortgage modified. It takes approximately 90 days. Once the processor has been notified of modification they can not ask for a payment therefore, rather than send my mortgage payment to the servicecer I would send the payment to XXXX XXXX the amount that I would be paying on my mortgage. When the modification is granted I will then get reimbursed for the 3 payments made to XXXX XXXX. That is how they are paid. XXXX then told me my processor 's name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. File to big to attach. Only attached documents to be returned with checks
