Over the l ast 2-3 ye ars I have had numerous collections accounts appear in my name and social security number on all XXXX credit reports from XXXX different collection agencies, IC System ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX OK ) and I believe another collection ( XXXX ) is about to be reported to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX by Progressive Financial Services out of XXXX AZ, also representing XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX OK for I assume, cable services and equipment, to my credit. The reason for my assumption is because my sons credit monitoring service just alerted him to a new collection from Progressive Financial Services f or {$1600.00}, with the original creditor being XXXX XXXX out of XXXX XXXX OK. I 've never lived in, been to or know anyone in Oklahoma. The same thing has happened to my wife and son. I literally just had XXXX accounts with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX OK ) deleted from all XXXX of my credit files within the last month. For example, my son just checked his credit monitoring service today and XXXX is showing a new collections account with Progressive Financial Services, original creditor, XXXX XXXX out of XXXX XXXX OK. I assume that eventually all XXXX credit bureaus will eventually have new collections reported to all XXXX bureaus on my credit, my sons credit and my wifes credit. The reason I 'm filing my complaint through CFPB is because I am emotionally exhausted from having to deal with the collection agencies, XXXX XXXX and all XXXX bureaus, on an individual basis. I know the following statement is hearsay but I spoke with a collection agent at XXXX XXXX about collections that have been removed recently about how one person can open multiple cable service accounts within a short period of time. He stated that it looked like something was going on within XXXX XXXX in XXXX OK ( criminal activity ). I have spent hours getting all the other collections removed which are a result of identity theft. I 've already warned the original creditor ( XXXX XXXX XXXX OK ) to remove any current or past due accounts in my name and social security number from their systems or I will take legal action. Altogether, since XXXX , there has been XXXX collection accounts reported to all XXXX credit bureaus under my name and social security number and all of them have been accounts with the original creditor being XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX OK. I live in Florida and have since XXXX except for 13 months from XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX when our family moved to XXXX XXXX to care for my terminally ill father-in-law. We moved back to XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX and have lived here in XXXX since. Please do something to stop Progressive Financial Services from reporting any additional collection accounts to any of the XXXX credit bureaus. If PFS has alr eady reported accounts to my credit, they need to remove them as soon as possible. My credit monitoring service doesnt update my credit information until the end of the week so, more than likely Progressive Financial Services has already reported new collection accounts on my credit

To Whom it May Concern : This email is regarding a concern/complaint I would like to make in regards to the company Progressive Financial Services. I called the collection agency on XX/XX/18 to make a payment towards my student loan debt through XXXX XXXX University. The reference number provided is XXXX. I called the company initially to make a payment towards my debt and I was told that I had to make 2 payment installments. I asked if I could make a payment arrangement based on my income and I was told that I could only make the payments if I made a down payment. I was also told that my loan was collecting interest daily and monthly, I found this to be strange and thus I called XXXX XXXX university. I was informed by XXXX XXXX that the loan was only gaining interest monthly at a rate of 5 % and that the loan does not accumulate interest daily. I called Progressive financial services back and spoke with a lady names XXXX who was extremely rude because I did not want to provide my phone number. And stated in order for her to see if I qualify for monthly repayment she needed to ask me several questions. XXXX stated how can I answer these questions if I am not even willing to give my phone number. I asked XXXX about the FEEL program she stated that I might not qualify for this program and that the correspondence between the school and the collection agency could pose a delay. XXXX suggested to make a down payment of $ 300+ with monthly installment of $ XXXX. I told XXXX I could not afford this and if there were any options she said I could make payments online and with sarcasm she stated you must make 9 consecutive payments in order to qualify for the FEEL program. I felt ridiculed and as if I was bothering her with my questions. XXXX did not help me and stated she could not give me any additional information regarding the person who deals with the FEEL program. I would appreciate if someone could get back to me immediately through email or phone call to XXXX

15 years ago I went to school when my wife and I had gotten married and we had our XXXX child. I decided to take a step further and a passion that I love and went to a place called XXXX XXXX which was a one-year course. The amount of money was for the course and I took XXXX Stafford Loans out along with the federal student loan for the college that I would have to repay after graduating. College was non-transferable to actual college credits and upon graduating found out the counselor was not doing their job and actually throwing away our resumes and never did job placement. I denied wanting to pay for the college because they did n't follow through with their end of the bargain which they told me they never had to find me a job. I accrued roughly about {$14000.00} worth the debt give or take. I will submit documents to you showing how much money I 've actually paid in. While I did not pay I went into default after going into default I tried to regain structure of the loan it 's been passed off to several different lenders and ended up in the Department of Education hands and they put it in the hands of progressive Financial Services. I paid on it for one year and got myself out of default and then I became ill and was not bringing in very much money at the time therefore I stopped paying on the loan. Times got hard and it caught up with me then became a garnishment and they take up to 26 % sometimes out of my check also income tax garnishment over the years this has created a serious financial hardship amongst our family while we struggled to make ends meet it put a lot of stress on the marriage. I am now in the process of a divorce with XXXX kids and no longer make it on the amount of money that I received for just myself with the deductions out of my check.

I attempted to settle this debt with this company back in the begin of XXXX, I spoke with an employee by the name of XXXX XXXX, who I asked if i could be sent a settlement letter to settle the balance owed on a previous XXXX bill I had, I asked if I could have it sent via email or fax, the employee advised me that they could not do that. I said ok and we disconnected the call. I attempted again around the XXXX of XXXX and I spoke with an employee by the name of XXXX XXXX @ XXXX XXXX, who was very nice and I asked her I needed a settlement letter or something stating the validity of this debt, I asked her if she could fax or send me this letter, she stated no we can not do that, she stated she could mail me the letter, she verified my address, I asked her if she knew how long it would take, and she stated about 3 business days, since we XXXX are out of Arizona. Today is XXXX/XXXX/2015 and I have not been mailed anything to prove this debt. Prior to XXXX/XXXX/15, on XXXX/XXXX/15, I attempted calling to see why I never received this letter and I spoke to a receptionist who stated that the department were my case was handled had closed early and to try calling back on monday XXXX/XXXX/15, I asked if she could help me, she stated she could not see anything they could. I made multiple attempts today XXXX/XXXX/15 to call and speak with somebody and everytime I called the company, they asked me for my account number and I entered it, then I entered the ext of XXXX XXXX, nothing but a voicemail stating to leave my info to have someone call me back. I did not leave my information.

To whom it may concern, My pay has been garnished three times by XXXX different debt collectors. The first 2-garnishment money was never applied to the loan. I made payments for 2 years from XXXX to XXXX of XXXX dollars. It was never applied to my loan and in XXXX I lost my job and could n't pay any more. My original loan amount was XXXX dollars approximately. When I got in position to make payments again the SL people wanted XXXX at once or they would garnish 25 % of my pay in about XXXX. This went on for years up to beginning of XXXX. I could n't pay because they kept saying the wanted the total loan amount and adding the interest to the principal and calling it the new principal never crediting the money paid or taken. I would have made the payments agreed on 25 years ago and paid it off. I could n't afford to keep paying them and not have the payments applied. So by adding XXXX dollars in fees and upping the principal by adding interest to it the total amount they wanted in XXXX was XXXX plus. Since then they have garnished XXXX dollars out of my pay. They waiting to steel my tax return next. If you can help I would like to have the total reduced, the loan taken out of garnishment and go back to the payments agreed on 36 years ago. I XXXX in XXXX as a way to pay off my federal student loans, the XXXX apparently did not register XXXX loan. I was unaware of this and only found out this year when my taxes were withheld and my wages garnished. The Department of Education sold my loan to a collection agency, I asked the agency to provide proof that this is in fact my loan, and provide proof that they acquired this loan from the Department of Education as well as the amount that it was for. The collection agency has repeatedly refused to provide this information. I did not want to pay unless I knew that this was a legitimate debt. I stated that if they could provide this information, I would pay. Now they have garnished my wages and put my job in jeopardy. Furthermore, I was XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX, got out of the XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, and started my XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I am not sure on the law, but I believe that I should have been protected during this time. Lastly, to reiterate, I only found out about this debt recently. However, I have heard from multiple collection agencies regarding the same alleged debt, how am I supposed to know which is valid and or real. I first heard something of this debt in the past two years, but could get no real information, so I let it go. I only realized that it was real after the aforementioned garnishment.

XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX I closed my account with XXXX. I was tired of at least a weekly outage always some excuse about my location. I turned in my. equipment and paid my last bill. I prorated the days I was without serice, I explained that at the XXXX office in my are when I turned in my equipment. I explained that nicely to the service rep that is should not pay for something I was n't getting. She agreed and after reviewing all my many calls regarding cable outage. I received a bill for the equipment ... I spoke to a supervisor after receiving a couple of bills. The problem was settled as it was their oversite. Never received a bill after that call. XX/XX/XXXX I got a bill from a collection agency 6 years later stating I owed {$400.00}. I called them, shared the story and told them in no uncertain terms I do not owe this and I am NOT paying for a bill I do not owe. I never received another collection notice after that call. Now it has been 7 years and recently did a check of my credit report and noticed this from XXXX showed up on XXXX. It is showing as the debt was from XX/XX/XXXX ... that is wrong. Progressive Financial Services XXXX Inc. and I agreed to the minimal payment of {$5.00} a month on an overly inflated student loan total of {$59000.00}. I work 20 hrs a week at $ XXXX. I pay rent, phone and the IRS. I can barely buy food. I was told that I was eligible for the {$5.00} a month plan. So I faxed them a doc of income, pay stubs and references as they requested only to get a phone call saying that my monthly payments will be {$27.00} a month instead. I told them that 's not what we agreed on and I can only afford our original arrangement and the agent kept trying to " talk '' me into it and threatening to garnish my wages if I do n't pay the {$27.00} a month. I told them no deal and now they are constantly calling me, several times a day, at all hours of the day and never leaving a message. I thought that if I offer what I can pay and they accept that, they would finally get off my back and take my loan out of default. Not try to reel me in under false pretenses.

My son, died XXXX. He had cable, phone and internet in his name with XXXX XXXX and paid the service monthly and I paid for my own cable for my house with XXXX XXXX XXXX. When he died, I turned off the service with XXXX XXXX immediately, and told them he was deceased. I gave them my name and told them I was his father. My son was on XXXX when he died. XXXX XXXX continued to send bills in my dead son 's name and my name. I sent all XXXX XXXX bills back to XXXX with recipient is DECEASED written on the envelope. I have run my credit and it is show XXXX separate loans when I 've consolidated them into XXXX. Progressive Financial Service , Inc. is the XXXX handling my Collections. They refuse to show me my agreement to pay XXXX $ monthly deducted from my checking account. They are reporting to the bureau I owe over {$23000.00} when I only owe {$12000.00}. I have document to prove my amount owed. They refuse to remove me from a definition of their own policy to help me re-rehabilitate myself credit wise. They refuse to understand life situations and recognize my yearly attempts to pay them off. This is affecting my lively hood and any future attempts to purchase anything for my family. I have an account listed on my credit report from Progressive Financial Services stating I owe a debt. I contacted this company stating the debt was not mine however it is still listed on my credit reports. They also sent me what was suppose to be debt validation info which was merely copies of info retrieved from unknown sources. The company must be willing and able to produce a document from their files that proves the account in dispute belong to me and the information being reported is accurate. Someone in their company must authenticate the documents in their files that were used to " verify '' the disputed account and to do this they must have 1st hand knowledge of the alleged account and all that has ever transpired for the alleged account. I have tried to resolve this with the collection agency and have been unsuccessful. Thank You

My federal student loan went into default XX/XX/XXXX or something. Progressive Financial Services submitted a form requesting wage garnishment in XX/XX/XXXX. The amount listed under the original request was for {$53000.00}. My loan was for {$40000.00} the {$53000.00} included fee+interest. This collection company has taken over {$73000.00} in garnishment from my wages. My HR department has verified they were paid under the original request. This company has submitted a new request for {$35000.00}. They stated that they will take over {$100000.00} and they will continue to garnish until I stop working because they have the right to collect daily interest and fee 's even though the requested amount from my HR department has been satisfied. I need help. This loan has been paid back twice already and they refuse to stop the garnishments.

This company has continually tried to call my phone and say they were calling me about an important business matter. One woman c alled today and I answered the phone and asked her what the call was pertaining to and she hung up in my face. Then I call back and ask the same question and the lady was ubseenly rude and told me that she needed my whole social security number. I told her I do not give that information out over the phone and that I had previously had my identity stolen as a kid. She sais, '' we will continue to call you until you give me your social security number. '' I said, '' then take me off the call list '' and I hung up on her. Also, when I called back I heard the automated system say progressive financial.

I received a settlement offer to pay off my debt for my XXXX XXXX credit card account from Progressive Financial Services. I received this offer on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent the settlement offer amount on XX/XX/XXXX ; documentation to support. Over the last year I have received several notifications that I still owe on this account, and several collections agencies have sent me letters ; documentation to support XXXX agencies still trying to collect this debt. I found out today, XX/XX/XXXX, that this debt is still active against my credit report and is effecting my credit score. I want this debt erased, and I want my credit score adjusted to when I actually made the settlement payment back XX/XX/XXXX.

Progressive Financial Services, Inc unlawfully and illegally removed my student loan account with the U.S. Department Of Education out of deferment status and seized {$7000.00} illegally and unlawfully from my federal and state tax return. My student loan account is suppose to be in deferment status and I should have a balance under {$2000.00} because I was given a waiver of debt for debt forgiveness. I have repeatedly received phone calls from debt collectors from Progressive Financial Services Inc harassing, verbally abusing and threatening me with harm, death, arrest and wage garnishment.

Progressive Financial Services legal department mail a letter to my home claiming that I have a debt remove from XXXX credit report and that I made false letter from their company to get the debt remove. The company that filed the debt with Progressive Financial Services was XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX this summer to let them know the debt did not belong to me and it needed to be remove from my XXXX report. I am also a current customer of XXXX XXXX. I am reporting this company to the CFPB and for your agency to investigate Progressive Financial Services collections practices.

many years ago i had XXXX installed in my home XXXX to XXXX rooms then i returned all equipment and discontinued service because they were raising prices to extent. so then they said i did not return a box from XXXX or later. i went down took all the equipment i had leased and was paying for monthly then they came up with equipment was not turned in now i was only getting charged monthly for the equipment i turned in they came back saying the i owe XXXX for equipment.. From XXXX they have been reporting to credit bureau and hitting my credit.
