I had originally had an account go into collections in XXXX from XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. The account was placed in collections with XXXX XXXX in XXXX after I had some financial hardships from being XXXX and the loss of a job. After threatening phone calls and letters for me to pay the debt, I had made an agreement to pay to delete the debt with the collection agency XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX. The debt was in the amount of {$1500.00}, that was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX never deleted the debt from my consumer report as it was agreed upon. This whole process originally violated my consumer rights, but I didn't completely know the process and how to handle it properly in XXXX. I know how to handle it in XXXX as XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, The Professional Bureau of Collections, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX have all violated my rights in various ways. Services were still rendered with XXXX XXXX after XX/XX/XXXX. My child 's braces were debanded on XX/XX/XXXX, leaving her balance at {$0.00}. XXXX XXXX was given ( both top and bottom ). The top was a tad bit too tight on her teeth but was told by the orthodontist, XXXX XXXX # XXXX, that it was normal and would loosen up over time. Well it never loosened up, it actually broke while my child was sleeping. I went back to XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX to get her top retainer fixed. They took a molding of the top teeth and stated it would be XXXX weeks to get the retainer back. XX/XX/XXXX the world shut down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. XXXX XXXX didn't reopen their local XXXX XXXX office til early XX/XX/XXXX. I called twice a week from XX/XX/XXXX til XX/XX/XXXX to check the status of my daughter 's retainers, which they still hadn't come in. During this time, my child 's top teeth had started to spread apart, resurfacing her gap ( which was partially the reason for the braces to begin with ). They had XXXX come in for another set of moldings, as they still didnt have the previous 2 impressions that were somehow lost at the lab and still werent in. They said that they were going to do a rush order and we should have them back within two ( 2 ) weeks. They set the appointment for XX/XX/XXXX to come into the office to pick up the retainer. I had left messages with the office manager, XXXX, that went unanswered for months. Finally on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX had me bring my child in to have another set of moldings done, as the original lab lost hers. On that same date, the Orthodontist, XXXX XXXX # XXXX, agreed to put the top braces back on my child 's teeth to close the gap again, FREE OF CHARGE. It wasn't until a full year later, in XX/XX/XXXX, that I was complaining about still not having my daughter 's retainer that XXXX XXXX fraudulently tried to recharge me the same bill that was already sent to collections and paid in full. I had no balance prior to getting the top braces back on. I paid for the bottom retainer replacement, {$150.00} and was still given a receipt of zero balance after paying for the bottom retainer, as the top was free of charge. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX After my daughters appointment where the Orthodontist, XXXX XXXX # XXXX, was to tighten the top braces. I was informed that the retainers STILL hadnt come in yet, and they would need to take another impression of her top teeth and re-send those moldings to the lab. We are now into the 3rd set of moldings that have yet to come into the XXXX XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. I was overly ticked off at this point and demanded to speak with the office Manager XXXX XXXX ( they refused to give me her full last name, as she hadnt been in the office since before XX/XX/XXXX ). I had been leaving her voicemail messages on the office phone for months that went UNANSWERED! Once again I was told she wasnt in the office on that particular day and I was given a blank appointment card with XXXX name & email, and the office phone number on it to be able to call her back at a later date and time. I also noticed since I was being extremely vocal about how upset I was with my childs treatment at that office, they handed me a bill for her braces that was for {$1500.00} ( close to the amount I had already paid for the collections in XXXX that allowed my child to get her braces off and the original retainers ). I had a XXXX balance before my complaints, so how is it that now they pull a bill out of the air, in the same dollar amount that my collections balance was!!! I went to my car and before driving out of the parking lot I sent XXXX XXXX an email at the email address : XXXX, I immediately got back an error message stating this wasnt a valid email address. So I continued to call the office number ( XXXX ) XXXX and proceeded to leave another long voicemail in regards to being billed for services that should have been at no charge. Let me state that the bill also reflects a service done on XX/XX/XXXX with a description code of XXXX N/C- Other Orthodontic Services ( N/C= No Charge ). The bill also showed that the payments made by XXXX the insurance that I had for my child during the time of treatment, was refunded every month that they made a payment to the account. How do I owe a balance when XXXX XXXX is refunding payments made to the account by the insurance provider? It was not making any sense to me. XX/XX/XXXX was the date the top braces were put back on my daughters top teeth due to her teeth spacing back out as we still waited for her retainers to be replaced. I did a repeat phone call to XXXX XXXX Corporate in regards to my bill, being over charged in some areas and payments refunded in other areas. I spoke to XXXX who connected me to XXXX who was in the collections department. XXXX explained to me how the process of collections works, once they sell the debt to the debt collector ( XXXX XXXX ) then the original bill is XXXX out. If the patient pays the debt collector for the debt owed, the patient stays with a XXXX balance. The contract is not restarted to reflect the previous balance that was owed by the patient. Seeing that my daughters bill was paid to the debt collector, XXXX XXXX in full, that I no longer owed the amount of {$1500.00} to XXXX XXXX. Once XXXX XXXX sent the report over to XXXX XXXX, I would be able to get my childs braces removed, because I would be at a XXXX balance to do so ( which was in fact what had happened as of XX/XX/XXXX ). No one could answer why the insurance payments were returned every month that XXXX made the payments on my child 's account. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a grievance with XXXX XXXX corporate office at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Ca XXXX, over the phone at XXXX since I was getting no where with the local office. My call was shuffled back and forth between the collections department, I spoke with XXXX, who claimed I had a XXXX balance and didnt see where the local office had any bill amount due nor that they communicated any outstanding balance owed by the patient to the corporate office in XXXX XXXX California. Then XXXX connected me to the grievance department. I spoke with XXXX and thoroughly explained my issues with the local XXXX XXXX XXXX and how I also spoke to XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX, who also informed me that once the debt is paid in full, they release the information back to XXXX XXXX, who then can not re-charge me for a bill that has already been to collections and paid in full. I also asked for a printed copy of my original contract. I got a letter on XX/XX/XXXX that they received my grievance, and will be working on the issue. No copy of the original contract came with this letter as I requested. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX grievance response stating : All the key facts that I had stated in my original complaint. Also, once I received a copy of my original contract, I was charged late fees at a time my account was not late. Because was charged excessive late fees, I wanted to be reimbursed the fees originally paid to this account. The letter goes on to state dates that certain procedures were done to my daughter throughout her treatment with XXXX XXXX. The line that stated the initial fee of {$3900.00} was charged for the braces. My original contract states that the amount financed was {$3900.00}. Their response also stated that it was a total amount of payments of {$2400.00}, adjustments of {$43.00}, leaving a balance of {$1500.00}. Now if they had sold my balance debt of {$1500.00} to XXXX XXXX, then once again how do I still owe for a debt they originally sold? According to the grievence letter, the committee was unable to determine the source of miscommunication related to this issue and missed their regrets that their was a misunderstanding of communication, also that My child is responsible for the financial payments due to the account. The letter stated I can reach back out to the corporate office and report any new information in the future and they will " investigate '' during that time. I called on XX/XX/XXXX with more complaints to add to this grievance, which was never addressed by XXXX XXXX at all. I am still waiting on a response. XXXX XXXX has violated consumer laws by trying to double dip out of the same pot and really shows bad business practices. I never received my original contract in the mail from the grievance department, so while still waiting, at one of XXXX follow up appointments, I asked the woman working at the front desk for a copy of the original contract. Turns out the woman was actually the office Manager XXXX XXXX She had explained to me that she had been out of the office most of XXXX due to a personal leave. I explained how I had been leaving her a message XXXX near weekly with the issues I had with them in the office. She stated that she would go check with the orthodontist to see if he did in fact put back on the top braces in an act of good faith, No Charge. After about 30 minutes went by when she returned to the lobby and stated that what I had in fact told her about not being charged for the service was in fact true. XXXX XXXX had put the top braces back on in good faith at no charge to the account. XXXX stated she would update the account to reflect that it was a XXXX balance. I asked her for a copy of the updated account in writing so I would have proof and no longer need to stress off of this issue any longer. She said she would update the system, which takes 24 hours to update and that by the next visit, it would reflect a XXXX balance. Well, that was a lie. XXXX XXXX never corrected anything with my daughters account. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX still had me in collections for an account that had already been paid in full. So now we fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, my daughter, had her braces tightened every 6 weeks from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX returns to XXXX XXXX to get her top braces off. XXXX XXXX finally has both top and bottom retainers for my daughter to be able to go home with. I was told there was a fee for the bottom retainers that were lost during the year my daughter was waiting on her top replacement retainer. I paid with a credit card the {$150.00} fee for the bottom retainer. On the receipt, it states that the account is at a XXXX ( {$0.00} ) balance. If there was a balance of {$1500.00}, why was it not reflective on the receipt for payment for the bottom retainer? We left the dental office that day with her set of top and bottom retainers. On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX sent my account back to XXXX XXXX for collections for an inaccurate amount. XXXX XXXX reached out to me via phone in regards to this debt. I spoke to XXXX XXXX at ( XXXX ) XXXX, informing her that I needed to see the documents for this account, after explaining to her that I had the services at NO CHARGE, so how can they send me to collections if I never had a balance on the bill? XXXX informed me that a mailed copy could take up to 60 days to receive in the mail. That made absolutely NO SENSE why that could take so long. So I asked if it was possible to get it emailed to me at my email address : XXXX. She stated that it could also take up to 60 days to complete. On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email from XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) of a letter that was mailed to me but addressed to the wrong address. The letter originally was mailed to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Ca XXXX. So that was XXXX XXXX XXXX mistake, mailing it to the wrong street address. The 2nd mistake was the attachment ( proof ) for the email was password protected. Meaning I couldn't access the email. I reached back out to XXXX and asked for the password. She emailed back stating it was the last 4 of my social security number. That never worked. So I was never able to see the proof sent over from XXXX XXXX. I had to wait for the physical paperwork to come in the mail to the XXXX XXXX address, which could take up to ANOTHER 60 DAYS!! While waiting on the documents to arrive via USPS, on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) sent me a letter stating they were canceling the debt and will remove it from all 3 credit reports. The deletion was never done. They not only left the account on my reports, they sold it to the Professional Bureau of CollectionXXXX. So now this medical debt has been sold TWICE to both XXXX XXXX as well as Professional Bureau of Collections in the amount of {$590.00}. The Professional Bureau of Collections never contacted me in regards to this medical debt to verify if it was my account or not, no contact by mail or by phone. I had seen on XXXX XXXX that this account was added to my consumer report as of XX/XX/XXXX. That also violates my consumer rights. XXXX XXXX never offered me any type of financial assistance either time to be able to pay down the debt before it reached the point of collections. The collection balance is inaccurate, as it was reported to my 3 different consumer reports in different amounts : {$590.00}, {$1100.00}, {$970.00}, {$1500.00}. What was the actual amount, as I never saw an actual bill other than the one for {$1500.00}, which reflected the no charge for the service of putting the top braces back on. Here are the consumer rights that were violated various ways by all companies listed above : According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 602 ( a ) states : I have the right to privacy According to 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 602 ( a ) section 2 states : a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written permission. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 s-2 ( a ) ( i ) states : A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that information is inaccurate. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) states : A notification that, if the debt is settled or paid by the consumer or an insurance company before the end of the period described under paragraph ( 1 ) ( A ), the debt may not be reported to a consumer reporting agency. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( a ) states : communicate with an insurance company to determine coverage for the debt; or ( B ) apply for financial assistance.

On XX/XX/XXXX, my XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX coverage ) was delivered and a follow-up appointment for my XXXX XXXX was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX ( Med-Cal coverage ). On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. contacted me about a past due bill for my XXXX I informed her of the above-mentioned information and that my XXXX has been delivered and that it is covered by XXXX XXXX. XXXX was rude and unprofessional and her tone was harassing. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX. XXXX informed me that the office manager at XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) credited the entire billed amount of {$1000.00} back to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( 2 DAYS AFTER MY XXXX WAS DELIVERED- INTENTIONAL ; PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, NON-PROFESSIONAL AND COST XXXX XXXX MONIES THAT THEY WERE PAID IN FULL THEN THE CHARGES REVERSED ATONOMOUSLY BY XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX Billing and spoke to XXXX. She forwarded me to XXXX in the XXXX Office where the called dropped after she took my phone number and stated that she would have office manager XXXX contact me. No return phone call by XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX, I contacted XXXX the office manager at the local XXXX XXXX Office. She was very unprofessional and rude. She stated that I would have to " Come back into the local office that day between XXXX - XXXX and sign a new XXXX XXXX receipt in order for her to re-bill XXXX XXXX ''. I told her that I did not have the liberty to come in to their office at her last-minute request. Not to mention, I did not have to tell her nor authorize her to bill XXXX XXXX before their office render services complete. I did NOT tell her to REVERSE the XXXX XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX which paid XXXX XXXX IN FULL. XXXX wanted to get into a power and control struggle with a paying patient and I was not willing to do that with her. XXXX even stated that " the bill will just go to collections and mess up my credit ''. I inform XXXX that I know that their local XXXX XXXX Office is PRESENTLY under review for NON-COMPLIANCE whereas all of their employees had to sign off to their compliance on numerous areas that they were deficient in. I saw the documentation and patient files at the dental station that I was sitting at. Their office is not organized or professional and they left the documentation laying in the station that I was sitting at on XX/XX/2016 and I saw it for myself. I informed her that their office can lose their ACCREDITATION ; can be UNDER XXXX and the XXXX XXXX XXXX review and an External Auditing review of their compliance practices can be under scrutiny with XXXX. XX/XX/2016, XXXX XXXX XXXX called me to collect on the bill. I spoke with a POLITE person named " XXXX ''. I informed her of the above fore mentioned communication and correspondence with XXXX XXXX. XXXX placed me on hold and contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX local office whereas she returned to the line and stated that " The local office just posted the payment via XXXX XXXX to my account at her request and that I now have a XXXX ( XXXX ) balance owed to XXXX XXXX. XXXX apologized to me for the inconvenience. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection bill from XXXX XXXX to pay the {$1000.00}. Apparently, the information that XXXX told me was incorrect and that Office Manager XXXX took it upon herself to NOT re-bill XXXX XXXX for the FULL amount of the XXXX XXXX bill that she pre-billed then reversed the charges ( she also pre-billed Medi-Cal which is Illegal ; which you can lose Medi-Cal ; Medicaid, XXXX & Medicare funding for such acts ). XXXX XXXX 's collection attempts have lasted longer than the XXXX that they placed in my XXXX. It has since fell out once again along with the filing to a tooth that they did. XXXX XXXX 's Internal Collections department has since forwarded this bill to 3 collection agencies. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me a reply letter to my dispute letter " Confirming that the account has been closed and there is no balance due '' ( Please see attached letter ). On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) sent me a reply letter to my dispute letter which stated " XXXX has investigated this matter .... and have discontinued collection efforts on the account ''. ( Please see attached letter ). Lastly, on XX/XX/XXXX, Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. sent me a " 65 % Settlement Offer on behalf of their client XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. This settlement offer was in reply to my dispute letter that I sent to them. Please note : I have been harassed non-stop via phone by XXXX XXXX 's XXXX XXXX Department and by all 3 of the subsequent collections agencies from as early as XXXX ( California time ) and as late as XXXX all throughout the day and on weekends. *Please notice to the 3 different addresses to respond to Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. that are highlighted in yellow on the 3rd attachment. The Post Master at the U.S. Post office stated that the zip code for their XXXX, AL address is fictitious/fake/incorrect. Why would this collection agency provide 3 different addresses ; if they truly wanted the consumer to respond??? This is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND LACKS TRANSPARENCY.

XX/XX/XXXX : I have been the victim of identity theft/fraud since XX/XX/XXXX, first discovered in XX/XX/XXXX and with initial submission of Federal Trade Commission Identity Fraud Report in XX/XX/XXXX and updated in XX/XX/XXXX to reflect fraudulent accounts from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( hotel ) in the amount of {$230.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ), U-Haul in the amount of {$1200.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ), XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) in the amount of {$220.00}, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$260.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) in the amount of {$130.00} accumulated to-date. Most of these were resolved with direct communication with the companies with no further adverse action as of the time of this writing but unclear if those accounts were closed. In XX/XX/XXXX, we were contacted by XXXX XXXX at XXXX with regard to a missing rental vehicle, and submitted the FTC report to his satisfaction ( via email ). He stated that a police report was filed with the XXXX XXXX XXXX airport police department for a missing vehicle and that they had the culprit on camera, but never provided a copy of the police report, the number, or the camera evidence to us. I was then XXXX from XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX with the XXXX XXXX as part of domestic COVID19 disaster response, and on return was made aware of additional accounts discovered in XX/XX/XXXX and with submission of additional Federal Trade Commission Identity Fraud Report in XX/XX/XXXX to reflect fraudulent accounts from XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$640.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( via Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland ) in the amount of {$1000.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ), XXXX rental in the amounts of {$310.00} and {$480.00} ( separately, XX/XX/XXXX ) and finally XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$480.00}. These, with the exception of XXXX, were resolved via discussion although unclear if accounts were closed. As none of the accounts were connected with any of our electronic means of financial payment, there may yet be more accounts that we are unaware of. Most fraudulent accounts seem to be hotels and rental cars in the XXXX XXXX area and western United States. An attempt was made in XX/XX/XXXX to file a police report with the XXXX XXXX PD but was rebuffed as they insisted it be done in person. At the same time, an attempt was made in file a police report with the XXXX County Sheriff Office ( XXXX, FL were we presently reside ), but was rebuffed since none of the crimes took place in this area. Regarding the XXXX account, we were never notified directly by XXXX, instead received harassing phone calls from Professional Collections Bureau of Maryland despite being contacted on while serving on XXXX XXXX XXXX at the time. With collections we spoke with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX extension XXXX was provided, along with email correspondence directed to XXXX ). An email with copies of the FTC identity reports, notice to furnishers, and request for any and all evidence linking me to the accounts was sent in XX/XX/XXXX to the email aforementioned, and paper copies were sent via certified mail to the collections company and XXXX ( as well as every other account identified ) at the same time. This was in response to the collections company placing a collections account on my Transunion credit report in XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX was contacted directly to inquire as to why we weren't notified prior to submission to collections and to inquire as to what evidence they had to share. We spoke with XXXX in accounts receivable at XXXX hotels who REFUSED to offer/share or send us the required evidence pertaining to the account in collections in XX/XX/XXXX which we felt to be in violations of our consumer rights protections and illegal. The letters sent directed a response and removal of the fraudulent collections account ( particularly from the credit report ) within 30 days and is not yet done. This is to stem the potential damage from reduced credit in terms of financial compromise from higher interest rates related to personal financial dealings. Transunion was contacted multiple times ( online dispute via XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX without FTC report documents unavailable while I was on XXXX, repeat online dispute via XXXX online portal in XX/XX/XXXX with supporting documentation including FTC report numbers, and again via phone in XX/XX/XXXX ). The initial dispute was found to reflect the accuracy of the account- although XXXX refused to offer any evidence or information as to how they confirmed the truthfulness and accuracy of the account, instead stating that they let the collections company determine accuracy which is a clear conflict of interest. Further, XXXX added this collections account despite the fact that because of ongoing fraud, our credit report has been LOCKED since XX/XX/XXXX via 1 year active military modality, and also with extended 7 year lock. It was not added to XXXX ( also locked ) as of time of this writing. XXXX of all accounts was delayed from initial invoice date due to delayed/lack of contact from companies/collections involved as these accounts were fraudulent and took time to find way to our active address. Further delays in awareness occurred due to military XXXX as above.

In XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. whom got my information from XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Before this phone call I have never heard of them before. They stated that I owed {$63000.00} for a private student loan and asked me how I wanted to pay this debt. I had asked them which student loan they were referring to as I had been paying my loans for which I was getting statements for, they stated XXXX ( XXXX ). I then proceeded to tell them that I did not receive any sort of billing statements to my address from this loan and my co-signer also did not receive any form of billing statements. They stated to claim that they sent statements to both addresses. Along with not receiving any sort of statements for repayment, I also did not receive any sort of notifications from the original loan ( XXXX ) that my in school deferment had ended and my loan went into repayment. Also I did not receive any sort of notification from the original Loan that they handing over my loan to XXXX XXXX, and they did not notify me of this either. When I asked for my billing statements from XX/XX/XXXX to present, they continued to ask for money, even after i said i did not have. I agreed to pay a minimum amount for one month in order to set up some sort of payment plan in the amount of {$520.00} and asked for a confirmation of payment immediately. I called on 3 different occasions after this payment asking for my confirmation, which i received exactly one month later when they called again asking for more money, and i told them the same thing that we do not have the amount they are asking. Again asking for all my billing statement from XX/XX/XXXX to present, they refused. Today my co-signer received a call demanding a payment of {$1100.00} by tomorrow. With only one source of income my co-signer could not afford to pay it, and the collection agency ran my co-signer 's credit report without her knowledge or consent to see what lines of credit she had available to make this payment immediately, thus her social security number that they had on file was used for this illegally without her knowledge to serve their purpose. As a consumer we have the right to our statements from XX/XX/XXXX which is when they claim that this loan went into repayment to present to know what our minimum payment should have been. I also did not get any sort of correspondence that my loan is being transferred from XXXX to XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX for collections. By not sending me statements, I lost the opportunity to refinance this loan at the time when repayment supposedly began thus collecting a larger amount of debt on interest and late payments. If they had sent statements to both addresses they had, at least one of us ( either me or my co-signer ) should have received them. The fact that none of us received statements and I received statements from all other loans and credit cards irregardless of when I moved ( my address was always changed with the post office ) just proves the point that they actually did not send any physical statements. The collection agency basically said that since this was a private loan in collections now, therefor I can't get my statements anymore or something along those lines. I have a private loan with XXXX XXXX which is now under XXXX and XXXX XXXX had notified me that my private loan is being transferred to Navient and I will be receiving a repayment statements from XXXX and not XXXX XXXX from now on. With XXXX I was not given this sort of notification. As a consumer, I feel like the lack of correspondence from this loan company has put me a huge financial set back and accumulated unnecessary interest and late payment fees that I could have avoided if I had only received my statements when the loan went into repayment in XX/XX/XXXX. If they had sent statements to me and I was missing payments, they should have had other form of correspondence such as phone calls. Neither my co-signer or I received any phone calls that our payments are late or that our loan went into repayment. The collections is asking us to blindly pay this debt without even providing us proof of statements after asking them numerous times. They continue to harass and threaten us stating if we don't pay this immediately, they will report it to credit bureau. They call my co-signer at her work on a daily basis demanding money and not willing to work with us to come up with a reasonable affordable payment plan. I am still in school and work only part time with a minimal paying job which is negligible income. My co-signer is the only one working in her household as her husband recently lost job and underwent a XXXX XXXX thus has accumulated medical expenses as well.

In XXXX I purchased a vehicle from a preferred auto dealer XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX sent me to this dealer as a preferred dealer stating they are verified and work directly with XXXX, I visited XXXX XXXX and agreed to purchase a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the dealer was telling me that they were having issues with the system they used for XXXX but I could take the vehicle. They had me sign a purchase order but not a title, and they did not provide a motor vehicle inspection that is required by law on that day. They also did not supply temporary license, but left a dealer license plate on the vehicle. They said we would complete title work, license and registration when the system with XXXX was back up and running. I called the next week and they said that the loan was processed and XXXX would be sending information, I asked about the title, inspection and required documents. They said that they did not have the title and would contact me when they had the title. 3 months went by and I had no title, no inspection and could not license the vehicle. The vehicle had brake failure, bald tires and transmission problems, the dealer acknowledged the issues, but never corrected them. They continued to tell me when they got the title they would fix everything. After 5 months I contacted XXXX and started to complain because they sent me to the dealer as their preferred dealership. I explained the situation as well as sent them email correspondence with XXXX and Myself. I kept getting a run around and they said they would investigate. This continued for 16 - 18 months and I could not drive the vehicle due to mechanical failure as well as no way to license it. I requested a copy of the signed documents and copy of the title from XXXX. They could not provide these documents although they said they would. This was two months of back and forth as they tried to secure these documents from their preferred dealer. The dealer sent a forged copy of a title application, could not provide the title or state inspection forms. Finally XXXX agreed to relieve me of the loan because of these issues with no legal obligations because they could not provided the documents. I agreed to surrender the vehicle and they said they would deal with dealer to resolve the issues, and I was released from the contract. Several months later I had a repossession on my credit file, and they said I owed the deficit. I spoke with management numerous times and they continued to tell me they would get the matter resolved. This has been an ongoing battle for 4 years as it remained on my credit file. I was in the process of securing an attorney to sue the Dealer as well as XXXX and I was promised it would be removed. It never was removed, so I disputed the XXXX XXXX Credit file numerous times, and they kept saying unfortunately it was charged off and out of their hands. Two years later I have had a company by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX calling me daily from a masked number telling me they are collecting the debt, I also have a company by the name of XXXX XXXX calling me telling me they own the debt and tio ignore all other debt companies, now another a company by the name of Professional Bureau of Collections placed this on my XXXX XXXX credit file on XX/XX/XXXX as a collections account. I have never been notified from them. I have never received any notifications by phone or by mail that were pursuing this or asking if the debt was valid. I have asked all three of them for validation. I called Professional Bureau of Collections and asked them for validation, asked them why I did not receive information pertaining the debt with a notice to dispute. I was told they did not care who else is trying to collect the debt and I need to pay them {$7700.00}, that is was theirs and they owed me no notification or validation, if I did not pay immediately they would have the sheriff 's office seize my personal property. I asked for a manager, the reply was I am the boss, and we will handle this another way and hung up on me. I called back and they said that XXXX XXXX would not take my call, that I should just pay my debts. I called XXXX again today, they said sorry you are not our customer, we don't know who has your account, we wrote it off and we can not speak to you. Was denied a manager from XXXX as well. I find it ironic that I just disputed XXXX on my credit files, and now I am being harassed by another new collection company two weeks later. So in the last three weeks three separate collection companies has called me to collect on this account that was agreed to removed. Two of the three say they do not care who calls me that they own the debt.

I disputed some accounts on my credit report, sent out on XX/XX/2019. XXXX did receive that dispute letter on XX/XX/2019 USPS tracking XXXX XXXX, according to FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( A ) ( i ), had 30 days to respond to my dispute letter of the accounts ; if not, they were supposed to remove/delete all the accounts disputed. They missed their deadline by sending a response with the post mark of XX/XX/2019 ( see attachment XXXX Late ), therefore they did not comply with the law. I received a response letter stating that two accounts would remain : Report response reference numbers : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX Dept of Ed/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, DE XXXX In regards to their response, which should be voidedthey did not supply my requests. I requested verifiable of an original Consumer Contract with my signature on it, again, according to the law FCRA 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). Their response was that they reached out to the debt collectors and the debt collectors informed them that the debt is verified. The law says that the CRAs must conduct a reasonable investigation, FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) which according to Kushman vs Transunion, they have to conduct an independent investigation. They are still conducting the same practices that were ruled against within this case. I have also requested to know their method of verification involving my dispute. I requested the exact procedures taken to conclude their results, who was involved, but none of these requests have been provided ; for both, XXXX XXXX nor XXXX. The account for XXXX was transferred/Sold immediately to the Department Default group as soon as my dispute was sent to them. It is my opinion that they sent it to default to avoid having to verify the account and force the Dept of Ed to deal with me. The Dept of Ed is only involved because of XXXX claiming to be the holder of the account, but has not verified it. The Dept of Ed claims that XXXX is now, formerly XXXX XXXX. XXXX has already lawsuit in the courts to CFPB due their falsehood methods, but shall they continue. They are not following the law, once again. I have requested verifiable proof but it has not been fulfilled. Due to all of the data breaches, one should understand this simple request. I have even noticed that the names and address listed under the Secretary of State business licenses do not match for XXXX. They are listed as just XXXX on my reports while showing XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX, and the address is different from the Secretary of States listing in Louisiana. They do not all match. Shouldnt XXXX be held accountable to provide verifiable proof that I owe them this debt that XXXX is claiming? Shouldnt they have to provide me, the consumer, all the information associated with my file, at my request? They names of those that have touched my file, their exact method of how they verified other than just speaking to the debt collector, XXXX? In addition, XXXX was closed but still reporting charges, and now the Dept of Ed is reporting the same dept to my credit report. It is illegal for the CRAs to report the same debt from two different sources with balances from both, but they are doing it right now. There are errors listed on the payment history as well. One month shows Ok, then the next month shows 90 days late. According to the legend provided on the credit report, each month is supposed to progress from 30 days, to 60 days, to 90 days late, etc. This is inaccurate late payment reporting. I have demanded proof of payment history to clarify these errors, but nothing has been given, so now my payment history reflect false summaries, which have affected my credit as well. XXXX should not have been able to report my account to the Dept of Ed because they never sent verifiable proof of the debt at my request, which was sent out on XX/XX/2019. The 30 days have past for this request to have been fulfilled by XXXX as well. XXXX XXXX has not provided XXXX with verifiable proof either. XXXX has closed their accounts, but they are still reporting charges to that account, which continues to drop my credit score. I have demanded that XXXX delete XXXX XXXX because they have inaccurate reporting and have not verified the debt with the original consumers contract with my signature on it. Instead, XXXX told me that XXXX XXXX has verified. When I asked for their procedure of verification and the method, I was told that they have already investigated this matter and it has been verified.

In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX reported on my credit report HI-CREDIT {$190.00} / BALANCE {$190.00} PAST DUE {$190.00} Placed for Collection : Org Creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX Contact was made to the collection agency that I dispute the charges of the {$190.00} and requested a validation letter. I gave the agency our XXXX address. XX/XX/XXXX. I informed the agency that there must be an error due to the fact that I held a receipt that indicated the original balance had indeed been paid on XX/XX/XXXX From the XXXX XXXX XXXXs and I can verify with my financial bank to make sure. I was able to get the bank to send me a hard copy of my bank transations for that month and year. XX/XX/XXXX Debit {$190.00} Tran Code XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX balance {$7300.00}. XX/XX/XXXXCredit {$150.00} Tran Code XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was credited back on my card in error of the Hotel. Note : The Hotel originally received {$190.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and had unnecessarily in error credited back {$150.00} which the hotel has acknowleged was in-fact the XXXX XXXX XXXX mistake and that the {$190.00} should have never been reported to the agency. XX/XX/XXXX Validation letter was generated and the letter again indicates that the Collection agency is attempting to collect a debt of {$190.00} that the agency had received a verbal dispute from the consumer and the consumer request a validaton letter for the Hotel to conduct a thorough investigation into the noted charges that the consumer is stating this debt had infact been settled on the very day of check-in.XX/XX/XXXX Validation Letter assigned balance {$190.00}. CREDITOR ACCT # XXXX. Customer Reciept from the XXXX XXXX XXXX Confirmation # of payment RECEIVED {$190.00} # XXXX. Paid in Full on XX/XX/XXXX. Card XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Balance XXXX. Now the issue is I originally paid {$190.00} on XX/XX/XXXXwhich the bank paid on XX/XX/XXXX. Now the taxes and resort fees were paid in this ORIGINAL AMOUNT OF {$190.00}. YES ITS TRUE AN UNNECESSARY CREDIT WAS ISSUED IN THE AMOUNT OF XXXX YET THE TAXES AND RESORT FEES WERE ADDED BACK IN TO THE CREDITORS TOTALS WHICH WAS REPORTED ON THE VALIDATION LETTER. LETS NOT LOOSE SITE OF THE FACT THAT YES A CREDIT WAS ISSUED BACK YET THAT WAS IN ERROR OF THE XXXX XXXX XXXX NOT THE CUSTOMERS. ITS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE XXXX XXXX XXXX TO CONDUCT THEIR BILLING CORRECTLY AND IF AN ERROR WAS MADE SORRY THATS ON THE CREDITORS NOT CUSTOMERS. That was relayed to me from the XXXX Hotel Manager. So by the Hotel acknowledging their own error the XXXX Hotel issued a RE-CALL on the Collections. Now my issue is since in fact it was the creditor error to initally report such error on their behalf with not only REPORTING a debt in error that had been originally PAID the Hotel failed to conduct a thorough investigation into the noted charges submitted to the credit agency to double charge for the resort fees and taxes. Now you know what was stated to me for being harrassed for nearly 2 years being charged higher insurance premiums to being denied and to being talked to in a degrading manor from the credit agency mananger that is on recording which I would like to be reviewed. All they say to me is SORRY ABOUT THAT MR . CUSTOMER WE APOLOGISE FOR THAT MR.CUSTOMER. NO THEY SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE TO REFUND BACK TO MR . CUSTOMER IN THE AMOUNT OF {$190.00} PER DAY THAT THIS AMOUNT WAS FALSELY REPORTED. CAUSE LIKE YOURSELF WHO IS REVIEWING THIS COMPLAINT WE CAN NOT SAY SORRY ABOUT THAT MR. CREDIT AGANCY I APOLOGISE FOR NOT PAYING THE DEBT MR. CREDIT AGENCY. NO WE CANT DO THAT HERE I HAVE BEEN TREATED DISRESPECTFULLY AND CAN NOT EVEN GET AN APOLOGY THE FINANCIAL DAMAGE WAS DONE FROM THE TIME THIS PAID DEBT WAS PLACED ON MY REPORT YET WHO IS RESPONSIBLE TO RECTIFY THE STRESS AND TIME ALONG WITH BEING DEGRADED AND SPOKE TO LIKE A CRIMINAL WHEN IN FACT IT WAS THEIR ON ERROR IN THE BEGINNING. ALL THE CREDITOR OFFERRD WAS WE WILL RECALL THE DEBT AND REFUND THE XXXX THAT YOU THE CUSTOMER PAID TWICE FOR. YES I HAD TO REPAY THE {$190.00} PLUS A 3 % CHARGE ON XX/XX/XXXXCAUSE THE CLAIM WAS NEVER RECALLED. TODAY IT STILL ON MY CREDIT REPORT DOING DAMAGE.

This XXXX lady had me crying because I was so upset that I would n't be able to make those payments in that amount of time or end up coming up with a settlement. I feel like if I was getting robbed by someone I did n't even meet in person or see in person. I have never been threatened in my life so I feel really scared and afraid that if i 'm not able to make a payment then i will get sued. I really would like to see a resolution out of this event. I do not appreciate the attitude from this XXXX and I do not appreciate being threatened over the phone from someone who does n't even know me or my situation.

I called them to start repaying my defaulted student loans. I told them that I wanted all further communication in writing. I made my first payment and set up auto pay. The next payment apparently got declined, though it shouldn't have since there was money in the account. Instead of contacting me in writing as I asked them to, they began calling my phone. I only found out later that it was them when I spoke with them on the phone. I do not answer the numerous sales calls I receive on a daily basis, so if I don't recognize the number, I am not going to answer it. Then in early XXXX I answered the phone at work and it was them. I was livid and told them they had no right to contact me at work and jeopardize my job. I again told them communications needed to be in writing. I filed a complaint with the XXXX. Just before XXXX I received the only letter from them I've ever gotten, dated XX/XX/18 but I didn't receive it till over a week later. It said they received the complaint, and to contact them to make my payment. They said the only reason they'd called my work was to try to start garnishing my wages (! ) Just days after one declined payment and zero attempts to communicate with me in writing! I called them on XX/XX/18. The first call I was repeatedly asked my info, put on hold and transferred until finally talking to someone who told me I had been sent out for wage garnishment on XX/XX/18. She told me she needed my last two pay stubs and then maybe she could stop it. I told her I just wanted to pay what I owed, and she said she could take my one missed payment and my XXXX upcoming payment but there was no guarantee the wage garnishment of 20 % of my wages would be stopped. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and she put me on hold for 30 minutes then hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and again spent a long time being put on hold, transferred and asked the same questions by multiple people. Finally I got through to who was supposedly a supervisor. She told me the wage garnishment went out on the XXXX and there was nothing I can do to stop it. Like the other person, she said she could take my payment over the phone but it wouldn't stop the garnishment. She was extremely rude and refused to help me or let me speak to someone above her. I finally just hung up and researched what I could do to stop the garnishment. It is ridiculous that I contacted them to start repayment and I'm trying to pay them and they are telling me they're going to garnish my wages, which is scary and humiliating. I talked to my boss about it and still to this day we have not received a wage garnishment, and it has been 24 days since they claim it went out. In the meantime I'm sure my already over-inflated student loan has gone up with penalties and interest. They already garnish my federal tax refund yet my 16 year old $ XXXX loan is still over {$7500.00} despite them receiving at least $ XXXX in payments and garnishment over the years. They told me there was nothing I could do to stop the garnishment except paying my loan in full for {$5800.00}. The only way I can get {$5800.00} is from filing last years taxes, but thry will just garnish that and I will still owe $ XXXX which will continue to go up via interest and penalties. It is ridiculous that this corrupt company is essentially refusing to take my payment with the threat of a wage garnishment that was never actually sent, and as a result will further financially benefit by tacking on more unfair penalties and interest. I wouldn't put it past them to have deliberately messed up my auto pay to further profit off of me. They should be communicating with me in writing like I requested, not be making false threats or any threats of wage garnishment when I am making an effort to pay, and definitely shouldn't profit off their shady and illegal collections practices.

The Professional Bureau of Collections agency have been very rude, disrespectful and abusive. From the first time they called I advised them that I had no problem paying the debt I owed but it had to be in realistic payments. I was flustered the first time they called, at my job, and immediately they said the only thing they could do for me was about XXXX every pay check ( biweekly ). I was worried they would call my job again because employee, XXXX stated " I did not ask you if you wanted me to call your job, that is not an option '', immediately after I advised her to please not call my job. At that point in time, I felt like I had no choice to make that unrealistic commitment of about {$600.00} bi weekly to stop them from calling my job. I called them back a week later, the day before I was getting paid, to advise them that I could not pay that amount and all I can realisticly do is {$50.00} this week and try to increase my amounts from here on out. They DEMANDED I pay more, and even asked if i could borrow. I told them no, they asked can I do {$1100.00} next check, I told them no most likely the {$600.00}. They replied " how about {$800.00} '', I told them no. They said then do {$300.00} tomorrow ( XX/XX/XXXX ) instead of {$50.00} and I said I told you I ca n't. XXXX XXXX just contanstly went back and forth with me laughing and raising her voice multiple times mocking me that oh you can only do {$50.00}! I felt violated because she already violated FDCPA rules stating she can call my job ( this was said on the first phone call recorded with XXXX XXXX, the second call her manager stated the work number was removed ), taunting me because I can not make more of a payment, so after 20 min they finally told me I can do {$50.00} and {$600.00} next check. I told them I would like the payment to come out of another account and they said why am I changing payment information? I told them I want it to come out of another card and she started questioning me as if it was XXXX XXXX 's business why I am changing card information? I told her if you want your money, you need to pull it from this card and she ofcourse once again got an attitude with me, took the card information, then hung up without even letting me know everything is set. During the initial call on Friday XX/XX/2015 ( XXXX call were made between XXXX-XXXX ) XXXX XXXX violated FDCPA rules stating she can call my job even if I tell her not to. During the call on XX/XX/2015 at XXXX with XXXX XXXX, her manager, and XXXX XXXX which she stated was also a manager, were trying to pry ways to get more money out of me when XXXX multiple times as well as her manager which apparently was not available to get her name after she handed Ms.Wheeler back the phone. Her managers were very professional even those I told them I could not make unrealistic payments, only {$50.00}! XXXX XXXX was very disrescpectful that night questioning me multiple times when I was upfront and honest about paying them everything I owe, as soon as possible yet she was continued to be very disrectful and even at one point stating the manager is no longer available and I told her I can speak to another manager and she said there is only one manager and I said I can hold, then she put someone else on the phone who hesistated to say she was even a manager. I do not want them calling my job! Even thought XXXX XXXX 's managers said they would not and said my number was removed, XXXX XXXX told me I do not have an option so I want to ensure it has been removed and no contact is to be made! I do not want them contacting me other than through email or mail! I do not want them contacting any of my references either! I will set a realistic payment arrangement up with them but the direspect I receive over the phone is not acceptable so I feel more comfortable discussing over email or through mail.

This is regarding an utterly unprofessional unethical and barbaric collection conducted by Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc . I'd a pending medical bill with an ambulance company ( XXXX ). The ambulance company didn't had a contract with my insurance provider ( XXXX ). My insurance provider processed the case and paid {$620.00} to ambulance company, and the EOB I received from insurance company shows that I owe {$69.00} only. The ambulance company ignored the EOB and asked me to pay remaining amount which is {$1900.00}. I reported this to insurance and they said that they'll work with ambulance company. I never got a response back from either insurance company or ambulance company. I assumed that the case is settled. I was not aware that the case was sent to collection agency. I hope I should have been told about that. One fine day, an operator from this agency called my wife ( they called her because the bill was in her name as she was in hospital when ambulance service was taken ). My wife was outside in a roadside park with XXXX kids. My wife was immediately threatened that if payment is not done immediately and if call hangup happens anytime, the debt will be reported on the credit which will be there for seven years, blah blah blah. Operator even said her that if we don't pay now, she will charge my credit card. Since my wife doesn't deal with finance, she said that they can call me and settle the case. They were in roadside park and my son already started crying because of hunger and sleep. Operator didn't listened to her at all. She told my wife that I'll be called immediately and my wife also has to stay on the call. My wife can't hangup and can't call me. My wife got very scared. I got the call, I didn't knew that they kept my wife hostage on the other line, and I worked out logistics, understanding why are they calling, why the case went to collection agency, why my insurance company didn't do anything, can I get 1-2 days to work with insurance etc. I was also threatened with a non payment on credit. But that's not the point of this complaint. My wife was online for whole duration of call which is 1-1.5 hours. The call was recorded and I'm glad that they did a recording. My son was crying uncontrollably in the sun, roadside. My son is just XXXX XXXX old. My wife can be heard begging on phone call, to let her disconnect the call as they were working the case with me. But operator didn't considered this. The only thing operator was doing was to collect money from me. In the pursuit of collecting my debt ( perhaps she gets commission ), she behaved barbarically and caused a trauma to my wife and son. - Despite begging, she didn't allowed my wife to hangup and always threatened that if call disconnects, a non payment will be reported - Despite hearing my son loud crying, she still didn't allowed her to hangup My son also got a XXXX that day. All because the debt collector wants money from me and they get their commissions. Is this how they should behave. In the same call recording, it can be clearly heard that I never said that I'll not pay the money. I always asked them to give me one day to work with my insurance, but they didn't budge. Only when I paid the money, they let my wife go. This is barbaric, inhuman way to collect debt. The recording is there, and then be obtained by government agency if needed.

I XXXX XXXX XXXX paid {$260.00} on XX/XX/XXXX to the collection agency after speaking with XXXX at XXXX and was told after intercept of XXXX income taxes in the amount of {$2300.00} that my account will be paid in full once I paid the remaining balance of {$260.00} and a letter will be sent to my hone ( see letter dated XXXX XXXX ) I received a check in the mail in the amount of {$2300.00} ( same amount of my income tax interception ) due to the XX/XX/XXXX th the presidential mandate cares act that was passed by congress the emergency legislation intended to meet urgent public health and economic needs in the face of the coronavirus crisis. I have since then received information from the credit bureau that my credit once again has been effected and my scores have dropped and received phone calls from XXXX ext. XXXX and was informed I have a balance and that I now owe a total of {$2700.00} due to an additional collection fee of {$420.00}. After several attempts to contact someone. On XXXX I called and was transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX ext : XXXX and stated I wanted to pay the amount that was sent back to me and did not agree with the additional collection fee. I asked her to repeat the collection fee and she stated she could not provide that information, but I was able to provide her with the information due to previous conversation with another agent the week of XX/XX/XXXX. The bottom line is if the amount of {$420.00} that has not been disclosed in any form other than in conversation is believed by me to be additional fees because on XX/XX/XXXX I called to inquire of the balance so I could pay it in full and was told there was only {$260.00} remaining on my account and if in fact there was this collection fee from the time I was in collections the true balance would have been {$1000.00} if in fact this is the true collection fee since XXXX said she could not disclose that information and I have not been provided anything in writing. XXXX the provided an address at my request so I can send a written concern and she began to question if I was refusing to make a payment. Since the refund check from the agency has been sent back I have never received a written statement or letter with explanation provided to me of balance and collection fees. Im not trying to argue the fact that there is now a balance due to the returned check, but I am not agreeing to pay a fee for recollecting a PAID in full balance due to the presidential mandate. I paid all interest and collection fees associated with this account once and I should not be liable for this collection fee and furthermore my credit should not have been damaged due to the return in fees. I was dealing with XXXX XXXX at Professional Bureau of Collections in Maryland, and he had me on a rehabilitation program to get my debt out of collections. I had auto draft enabled to make my payments. However, my debit card was compromised over the Summer of XX/XX/XXXX and I received a new debit card. I never heard from XXXX or any representative from the Professional Bureau of Collections in Maryland notifying that the auto-drafts were not coming out. I didn't notify them of my new debit card as I was under the impression that it was drafting from my checking account number, not the actual debit card number. Regardless, you think that someone would have called me to let me know there was an issue with my payment. I didn't receive a call notifying me of this until around XX/XX/XXXX. It was a woman named XXXX XXXX. When speaking to her for the first time she notified me of my months of non payments and that I would have to start the rehabilitation program over from scratch. I asked why no one had notified me, she looked into the logs and did say that it was odd that no one had called me in quite some time. If I had known they needed the new debit number, I wouldn't be having to start the rehabilitation program over again. I am also having issues with communicating with the company as a whole and getting the documents to lower my payment, which is delaying the whole rehabilitation program. As for XXXX XXXX : I had consolidated my loans to XXXX. Mid- XX/XX/XXXX I was having trouble making my payments due to low income. I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX stating that they had defaulted and that they would go delinquent if I did not call in. The email stated that they can help. I called in XX/XX/XXXX and talked to a man about lowering my payments. He was very helpful and was to send me documents to fill out to ensure we got my payments lowered. I asked him, if I should make payments until we got the due amount lowered. He stated, not to pay until after I received my documents, mailed them back in, and got approved for the lower amount. I never received the documents. I called back in XX/XX/XXXX letting him know I hadn't received them. I took his advice and kept waiting on documents and not paying. I went to get a car loan in XX/XX/XXXX. As I was attempting to secure the car loan, the lady told me that there was something on my credit that I needed to check in to and that I couldn't get the loan. I looked into it and saw that XXXX had marked me as delinquent and sent my balance to collections. I called XXXX immediately and spoke with a lady and told her that I had been talking to the guy on getting the paperwork and that he had told me not to pay until it came. She went back and listened to our recorded conversation. She apologized that the man had given me wrong information and that there was nothing she could do. She then told me, " If it makes you feel better, he was let go from the company ''. No, that does not make me feel better because now my debt in is collections, I can't get approved for a car loan, and it impacted my credit immensely. I now have issues with the collection agency ( Professional Bureau of Collections in Maryland ) and communicating with them.

Please none of the option for " Which best describes your problem '' related to me. Which best describes your problem? Making a false statement or verbal contract in exchange for full payment. On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed my loan writer noticed a item was reported to my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. It was from a company called Professional Bureau of Collection on Maryland Inc on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was informed that I owed a company called XXXX. So I called XXXX of XXXX and was informed that I indeed owe the money. So early morning on XX/XX/XXXX I called this company Professional of Maryland to see what was going on. They informed me that I owed {$310.00} informed them that I confirmed it with XXXX that I did owe the money and that's why I was calling to settle the debt now over the phone. I inform the customer service rep that i was currently in escrow and that this collection on my credit has blind sided me. I informed her I have spend the last 18 months cleaning up credit to get this house and now on XX/XX/XXXX without making any attempts to contact me what so ever I'm hit with a collection. I explained to her that I had no problem paying right now but I must have assurance this item in question would be " REMOVED '' not paid in full. She informed me that only her manager could approve that and I informed her that I will hold for her manager. A Mrs. XXXX XXXX came to the phone and informed me that if i paid this {$310.00} today they will have this item removed from my report on XX/XX/XXXX once they update the report over to the credit bureaus. Only after being told times that they would update the bureaus on XX/XX/XXXX did provide Professional of Maryland my debt card and paid the {$310.00}. Now it has been 74 days and 5 ordered credit reports later and this item continues to show on my credit report. Every time I call Mrs. XXXX I am told the same thing. " they have already updated XXXX to have this item removed '' So after running my report onXX/XX/XXXX for the 5th time in 74 day I still see this item on my credit report as paid in full and not removed as Professional of Maryland have been telling me since XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX and spoke with the fraud department only to be told that Professional of Maryland has only reported my account as " paid in full ''. They have never asked XXXX to have this item removed from my credit report. Professional of Maryland enter into a verbal recorded contract with when they stated they will have this item removed once paid in full. Now they continue to blame XXXX for not updating my report. I have HOURS on hold with Professional of Maryland trying to resolve this and i am getting nowhere. They have already cost me a higher finance rate and per hardship and stress. I need Professional of Collection of Maryland to honor our verbal contract and have this item removed ASAP.

Thank you for taking this dispute and providing a service to the community. I am complaining about Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland. The bottom line is that I disputed the validity of a collection they are placing on my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. It is for a XXXX XXXX account. I know I don't owe them money so I asked for an itemization and other proof of debt. What I received was " validation of debt '' paperwork for a XXXX XXXX. I have no kin by the name of XXXX XXXX. This bill is not for me and Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland as well as XXXX XXXX have failed to prove I have an obligation or a debt owed. My husband called the collection agency today and first was hung up on. He then called again and spoke to a manager named XXXX XXXX. The conversation took 30 minutes so I will emphasize the main points and the reason for my complaint. XXXX states the dispute was received XX/XX/XXXX. That is 55 days ago. Itemization or validity of debt was not provided in 30 days yet collection activities have continued. Furthermore, this account is still on my credit report even though the collector admitted the paperwork is for another individual. XXXX wanted more time to get paperwork on this account even though 55 days have passed since they received notification that this debt was disputed and proof of debt was required. After a heated conversation, XXXX stated she would e-mail her general manager to remove this from my credit report but refused to send me a letter or an e-mail or pretty much anything to prove she was taking that action. Because the proper steps to ensure validity of this debt have not been taken, and the heavy resistance to get her to comply with the F.D.C.P.A. was portrayed by her, I can no longer take her or her company 's word that the proper steps for the removal of this account will be taken either. Hence why I am filing this complaint. One thing I would like to point out. I do not owe this debt, but even if I did, because XXXX XXXX as well as Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland didn't bill me properly or provide me with correct paperwork when required by law, and definitely not in a timely fashion, how can they claim that I even owe this money or that I was billed for this properly when I was an active client of XXXX XXXX or that the proper collection procedures were taken for this purported account? At this point even if it was a legitimate account, their gross mishandling of this account would make it so XXXX XXXX as well as their collection agency is attempting to collect this with unclean hands. I demand this be removed from my credit report immediately and that this account be cancelled back to XXXX XXXX as not collectible.

I received a debt collection notice dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX, Debt Collector, who is employed by the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc., on behalf of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX regarding a debt of {$510.00} that I allegedly owe to the Sound Physicians. I do not owe this debt. I have been in a dispute with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX since XXXX over medical debt they say I owe the XXXX XXXX for an inpatient hospital stay that occurred in XXXX of XXXX..I received a bill on XX/XX/XXXX from them for {$1700.00}. I disputed this charge and was told by my insurance company I was being illegally balance billed by the XXXX XXXX. I received a letter from my insurance company dated XX/XX/XXXX stating I owed only {$300.00}. I finally received a bill in the mail with a statement date of XX/XX/XXXX from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX for the correct amount owed. I paid the {$300.00} to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX online by credit card on XX/XX/XXXX and I do not owe any debt to this company. I contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX by phone about why my account was still in collections and spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed I owed XXXX balance on my account and said they would investigate why my account was still in collections as well as put a hold on the account. Laws have been broken by the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. and debt collector XXXX XXXX, This debt collection company/collector is in violation of the FDCPA and is unlawfully trying to collect money I do not owe. I never owed {$510.00} to the hospitalist group. The amount I did owe, {$300.00}, was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent a debt validation letter dated XX/XX/XXXX to the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland, Inc.by certified mail ( received return receipt dated XX/XX/XXXX ) saying the debt was in dispute and to stop all communication with me and record that I disputed the debt. I also asked if the debt was forwarded or returned to another company they indicate it is disputed and if the debt has or will be reported to a credit bureau that it is reported as disputed as well. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a robocall on my voicemail from the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. saying to contact them. Because I sent a debt validation letter within 30 days of receiving the debt collection notice this collector violated my rights by contacting me. I also have not received a letter from this company validating the debt they say I owe them.

I would like to raise a red flag concerning the US Dept of Education ( US DoEd ) practices with regard to how they manage their student loan default program. I was working with their Default Resolution Group on a loan rehabilitation program when they suddenly and without any warning violated the good faith terms of our agreement and placed my loans in default with a third party, private debt collection agency/company. I had been unable to make consistent or adequate loan payments for some time and so XXXX, the loan servicing company, transferred my loans to the US Dept of Ed Default Resolution Group ( DRG ). I made a good faith payment at the beginning of the process and they even garnished my state income tax return even though I was under the impression that I was NOT in treasury offset, wage garnishment, or any other similiar situation, based on conversations with representatives who told me that if I make payments that would halt any further negative action taken against me. It did not. Then, after working diligently to apply for a loan rehabilitation program administered by the DRG ( their website : www.myeddebt.ed.gov ) they arbitrarily and capriciously, without warning or any reason given, sold my loans off to a private debt collection agency and tacked on over {$13000.00} in collection fees. They did this only about 2 weeks after they denied my initial application for loan rehabilitation. They first told me I could submit certain financial statements, such as bank statements, to document the income and expenses portion of the loan rehabilitation application, but this was incorrect information given to me by their representatives. Because of this incorrect information, they rejected my application stating I had not supplied adequate documentation for the income and expenses listed! While I was working on getting the required documentation, they sold my loans and debt collection added on outrageous penalties and fees. I am currently working with a student loan advocacy organization, called XXXX ( XXXX ) that I found through the XXXX ( Virginia XXXX XXXX ) and fear that legal action may be necessary to reverse the actions taken against me by the US Dept of Ed. I wish to pay off my debt as agreed and even hope to qualify one day for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program ( PSLF ) or XXXX Loan Forgiveness Program ( XXXXLF ) but this will never happen if I can not get these unjust and punitive fees removed and get back on a path towards a sustainable, affordable monthly loan payment.

Today X/XX/2017 at approximately XXXX XXXX I was called by what I was told was the " Bureau of collections of Maryland '' attempting to collect a debt from XXXX XXXX. They notified me that the call was being recorded. They stated that I owed around XXXX to XXXX XXXX and wanted to " update '' my information and get this amount taken care of. At this time I stated that I do not not have the funds available and since I am working right now I requested that they call me back later on in the day. She then asked " why did you answer the phone then if your at work? '' At this point I stated " because I have been being called and harassed regularly by this phone number for the past few days, and the calls ONLY come during my work hours '' at this time I stated again " can you please call me back later today I am at work '' she said " I 'll give you my information so you know exactly who your talking to and what amounts we are talking about '' I said " okay. '' Out of nowhere another RUDE and demanding voice comes on the phone demanding to know why I even answered my phone if I was at work, and I explained AGAIN that I was being harassed by this number. She told me they had called me yesterday X/XX/2017 and that I had answered and said " who is this '' and when I found out it was them I hung up. THIS WAS A LIE!!!! I have never spoken to this company prior to today, and if I had, why would I answer at work KNOWING it was them? Paying ANY debt to this company now concerns me because if they are willing to lie about something so trivial why would I trust them with money/ bank information and any debt resolution? She then stated that " I have no more time on this matter and if I do n't pay half right now they will just report it to the credit bureau. '' I again told her " No I will not being doing that today. '' Her reply was " Fine well just report this to your credit '' and then hung up on me. All I wanted was to not be harassed at work and instead got this rude phone call from a debt collection agency that refused to work with me, demanded money I do n't have, and offered no help in resolving this matter. I refuse to be harassed at work! I will be doing more research on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. No one deserves to receive harassing phone calls like this, especially not people who are trying their best to make ends meet for their family and fall short on a bill or two here and there.

In XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I filed for bankruptcy. We submitted all our debts to include my private student loan from XXXX XXXX. Our bankruptcy was discharged in XX/XX/XXXX. I started paying my federal student loan and thought my private student loan was with the payment of my federal student loan. XX/XX/XXXX, I receive a call from a collection agency stating I owe a student loan and I should start paying. I informed the person, I had filed bankruptcy and the student loan was included and I have been paying what I owe on student loans. I requests the document the collection agency was referring on the student loan. I never received any letters or information for the collection agency. Late XXXX, my credit report shows I am in collections with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( PBCM ) for the student loan for XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX and the representative tried to find my student loan account. XXXX had acquired XXXX in bankruptcy and should have my student loan documents. XXXX has no record of my student loan. Then I call PBCM and spoke with XXXX XXXX and told her my student loan was part of the bankruptcy. She agreed to close the collection on XX/XX/XXXX and returned the collection to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, XXXX ) to inform her my student loan was part of the bankruptcy and I had not paid anything on this loan since early XX/XX/XXXX. After completing some research, XXXX calls me back to say I still owe the loan since I never had an adversary hearing regarding the private student loan. I was being sent back to collection at PBCM. XXXX XXXX and I spoke again, I request the promissary note and supporting documentation that PBCM actually was allowed to collection the loan. I have not received any document and XXXX demanded that as soon as I receive the documents, I would immediately have to pay the entire balance of the private student loan of over {$14000.00}. I told XXXX I am not employed, I am an uncontrolled type XXXX XXXX and my employment opportunities are very limited. I would be consulting an attorney regarding the private student loan. I have talked with 2 different attorneys and I recieved conflicting information. Has the statute of liminations for the state of North Carolina on non-payment of debt been met? I have not paid on this loan since XX/XX/XXXX and have a collection agency demand payment after more than 5 years seems unreasonable.

I was contacted in XX/XX/2019 by The Professional Bureau of Collections of a Maryland via phone. I had never heard of this company before! I was informed that my student loans were in collections and that I now owed roughly {$150000.00} to their company. A man informed me that {$300.00} a month isnt going to cut it. So I offered to pay {$250.00} in bi weekly payments- a stretch on my finances already. He agreed to help me set up this plan and I provided my information. I asked for a written explanation of my loan amount and he stated that it would be mailed to me. I never received anything from this company. I have yet to receive any written communication from this company. I had to XXXX it to find that it was even a legit collections company. I am beyond mortified that the US Dept of Education would set me up with such a shady company. The first two payments were made in XXXX. I figured I was making my auto payments. However, just right before XXXX, I was contacted AT MY JOB by this collections company. I had never given them permission to contact me at my employment. As the phone was answered by a colleague, it was disclosed that a debt collector was looking for me. I was horrified, especially because I figured that we had handled this privately. I found out that this company has been contacting my previous employers phone number. Please note : I have been faithfully paying my other student loans and I have been enrolled in auto payments for years. Email me, send me a letter, but calling my job is harassment. I set up a auto payment with XXXX for {$500.00}. This time he refused to do bi weekly payments and was, once again, supposed to send me a written statement. I had to call them in XXXX to ask for the amount to be lowered to {$300.00}. I was informed this month that, no matter what, any tax refund that I get back will be theres to take ... even though I am making auto payments. I do not trust this company, as I have been frequently lied to about the amount of my debt and about my repayment options. It feels predatory and abusive. I am still waiting for a statement.

I was contacted 2 days ago after receiving a slew of phone calls to my cell and work by XXXX separate phone # s cl aiming that I owe a debt to this collection agency calle d Professional Bureau of c ollection of Maryland for a Federal Family Education Loan in t he amount of {$690.00}. I do not owe this debt and it has nothing to do with me. The XXXX phone # s th at called me are XXXX - a guy named XXXX and the other # is XXXX - a woman answered the phone when I called it back and stated the name of the company. In addition to not owing a debt for a student loan, onl y 1 le tter was sent to me ( see attachment ) with the date of XXXX XXXX . By law, they are supposed to give me 30 days to dispute this debt as invalid before skiptracing me and taking aggressive actions. I did not receive this letter until 2 days ago. They called my place of work and did not even call my extension after being given it. This XXXX person told my co-worker, who happens to be my manager - every thing about this : the amount, " case # '', what it was for, that I had n't responded, that they would be " showing up with documents '' at my place of employment and this was all after being asked if XXXX wanted my extension to call me directly and leave a voicemail. He chose to provide confidential information illegally to someone else other than who the message was intended for. They continue to call me at every number at work - the direct customer service line, other extensions, etc. Each time, they threaten to come to my place of work and serve me some unknown documentation. I know my rights and I am aware that this practice is illegal. This company needs to cease and desist immediately ; they have the wrong person and besides that, to reiterate : these are illegal practices! When they call my cell phone, they leave no messages and yet want to tell my co-workers everything? How is this legal? I looked them up and there are a TON of rip-off report claims and other CFPB complaints against them! They were aggressive and demeaning.

I put in a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX, PBCM XXXX in XXXX and I asked them in the complaint " Also before they send anything to my credit I need someone to work with me on making small payments until I am able to make larger payments because like I keep telling them I unable to make big payments because I do not make enough. This document states that one of my student loans was in forbearance starting XX/XX/XXXX, ending on XX/XX/XXXX. The loan they are referring to was one of two loans I received while attending XXXX. That information is correct. However, listed on the first page of this repayment obligation are not only the two loans from XXXX XXXX XXXX University but also the two previously paid off loans from when I attended XXXX XXXX University. These loans also show the {$1000.00} that was cancelled from the second loan where I only received {$500.00}. This is incorrect. As I stated above, these two loans were paid in full. Please see attached documents as proof of the loans being fulfilled. XX/XX/XXXX - I received from my current employer a copy of a document that was sent to them titled UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT WAGE GARNISHMENT ORDER ( XXXX ). The total amount said that I owe the federal government is {$18000.00}. Prior to this notice I had received mail at my home threatening to garnish my wages. I responded to this by mail and also tried to object by phone. The help I have received to stop my wages from being garnished and also to address my first two loans which were paid in full is NONE. I have exhausted my options at this level.

I have Federal Student loans that are in default with the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland, Incorporated, I have been trying to get these into a reinstatement agreement since XX/XX/2019. I had sent in the paperwork twice. First in XX/XX/2019, where I was informed the paperwork wasn't correct. However, when I asked what I needed to correct I never received anything in the mail ( which I repeatedly left voicemail messages for ). I finally was able to get someone to help ( not with PBC of Maryland ), and sent in the paperwork in early XX/XX/2019. After a couple of weeks, I contacted PBC of Maryland in early XX/XX/2019. The agent I talked with ( XXXX XXXX ), told me they received my paperwork and that I owed {$5.00} a month, but that my agreement form wouldn't be sent out to me until I made my first payment. On XX/XX/2019 I made my first payment of {$5.00}, on PBC of Maryland 's website ( Invoice # XXXX ). I then called PBCM back on XX/XX/2019 and talked with XXXX, he told me they didn't have my payment applied to my account. He then berated me, used profane language, and threatened me with not being able to be in the reinstatement program. I gave him the invoice number and he said he would contact their accounting department. XXXX and I were able to get back in touch on XX/XX/2019 ( the date I told XXXX I would call back ). He informed me they still didn't have my payment on my account ( even though it had been 26 days since the payment was processed ). It seems like PBCM/XXXX are lying, as it shouldn't take 26 days to apply a payment to an account. They also seem unprofessional, with the language they use, not speaking clearly into the phone repeatedly, not sending stuff through the mail when requested, and threatening to remove people from programs they have no authority to do ( only because I wouldn't give him my debit card number over the phone ).

The collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. ( PBCM ) collecting on the wrong loan. XXXX already had a payment arrangement on this Perkins Loan. We went to XXXX College to find out why this collection agency had a XXXX College Perkins Loans. We went to XXXX after making several attempts to work out a payment plan, thinking the collection agency was being honest, saying they had the right loan. Followed up with the collection agency again, resubmitted all the paperwork to them, this time through a new program, again nothing. I experienced a major illness in XX/XX/2017 that required medical transport between hospitals. I had multiple bills come at once for payment. I was making payments for as much as possible to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX when on XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Professional Collections of Maryland - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Co XXXX, number XXXX, listing creditor as XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Account XXXX. I immediately wrote a check for the full balance, mailed it to the debt collection company address above written to XXXX as that was listed as creditor. That check cleared in XX/XX/2017 and I have the check. The credit company says the ambulance company has it but has not communicated with them- the ambulance company says their billing is off -shore and they can't check to see if it has been paid. We keep getting letters and phone calls- harassing us- saying '' I will put you on hold if you don't .... '' saying we still owe the debt. We feel we are being bullied and harrassed for double payment. The debt collection company is where we sent the check that was cashed- but they state we have not paid it. The check was written to XXXX because on the bill from the debt collector that was listed as creditor on the letter they sent. We have called both companies and mailed a copy of the cancelled check to the collections company. We paid the bill on the first letter we got from the collection agency- we have the canceled check but they will not list it as paid and stop the calls and letters. We paid the entire amount on the first notice. I have copies of the canceled check but do not want to upload to the web site but can produce it when needed.

I financed a XXXX from a dealer in XXXX, XXXX in XXXX, I was making payments to them every XXXX weeks, in XXXX I went in to make a payment and they told me that they had given the loan to another company and that the company would be in touch with me. I received a call from a company called XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, CA, they said they were the new finance company, and I should start making payments to them, which I did. After making payments, I asked about the title and they said they would send it to me, but, I never got it. I moved back to XXXX State in XXXX, I was still making payments, then one day I went to make my payment and I was locked out of my account, I contacted them and they said they had changed and to use XXXX at XXXX. I was making payments that way, but something did n't feel right, so I wrote the State of XXXX and the response from XXXX that they had bought my car at auction while I was driving it and would n't send the title until the car was paid off. After that I never heard from them, no statements or calls and I could n't make payments to the account. Last month I got a call from a collection agency in XXXX saying that they wanted payment for the car and to send it to them. I told they woman who called that I wanted something in writing from them and I was n't going to talk to them until I received something in writing. I never got a letter from XXXX that they were the new lienholder, my title has someoneels'e name on it. I also have never gotten a contract from they, they just sent statement whne it was time to make payments and since XXXX I have n't gotten a staement. So what do I do? Thank you

On XX/XX/XXXX, Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland contacted my husband and tried very hard to convince him that this was my student loan debt. My husband knows we are timely with all of our payments and did not believe them and told them I would call them back. When I called them back, they could not verify the account number given to my husband, they could only verify his phone number called ( red flag # 1 ). I explained to the lady that this was not my loan as I consolidated years ago, she proceeded to tell me that loans fall through the cracks and I needed to pay ( red flag # 2 ). I told her flat out this is not my loan and that she is committing fraud. She asked me to verify my social, I refused, she gave me my social ( red flag # 3 ), she asked me to verify my address, I refused, she verified my address ( red flag # 4 ). I asked her for proof that this loan was mine, she asked me for my email and I refused. I told her she has my address she can mail it to me. This has caused me so much stress. I thought this would be the end of the situation, but on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collections letter ( in my maiden name ) stating an account balance of {$9900.00} with the Original Creditor as XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have never banked with XXXX XXXX XXXX or pulled loans from them. This debt is not mine, I regularly check my credit report and have never seen this debt. I also confirmed by checking the National Student Loan database and it is not listed. I receive numerous calls daily, which I do not answer, please help resolve this fraudulent debt and have them stop harassing me and my husband. Thank you.

I relocated to another city for college ( away from the XXXX ). They continued scheduling appointments, although I verbally explained that I was moving and that I could not travel that distance to make appointments. I was paying out of pocket ( Monthly payment plan ) for these expenses with the help of parent as needed. I was told there was another office near my school ( which I got in contact with ) and was told I basically would have to start a new contract or treatment. Which included a XXXX XXXX that they said was needed and I never received. I decided not to do so because it was pointless being as though I had already had them on for a while and had been paying a certain price. I also did not drive ( parents werent around to transport me anymore ) and I didnt have a stable income. At this time I did not know that I was still being charged although I wasnt visiting the office. Fast forward I joined the military ( again relocated ) in which the XXXX had to be removed in order to attend basic training. After checking my credit score I noticed 1 derogatory mark. I contacted the original provider and informed them again that the XXXX had been removed and I relocated and that I did not even finish my treatment. They told me it had already been sent to collections so it was out of their hands, they forwarded me to the correct point of contact and I explained my situation to them as well. In return I was offered a deal to pay off the payment. I never went to an appointment unpaid. The payments stopped when I stopped going. I was paying when I was receiving treatment in the original city.

In XX/XX/XXXX I joined a school called XXXX XXXX XXXX and I took a private loan out for the amount of $ XXXX. Before I could finish the program XXXX XXXX XXXX went bankrupt. XXXX XXXX XXXX ( my loan provider and the preferred choice loan for XXXX XXXX XXXX ) went to court in Nevada. The Nevada courts decided that neither one of those two companies were at fault for their fraudulent actions and did n't protect us little people by protecting us against XXXX XXXX XXXX. So basically since I did n't complete the program that was suppose to give me a career, I did n't pay back the loan. I could n't afford to pay {$1400.00} a month on a loan for a certificates I never was able to get and for a job I was never able to get. I should n't be held down by these companies who for some reason have no heart for we the small folks. I did n't pay on these loans and never will ... XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dropped off my credit back in XX/XX/XXXX. I lived with bad credit for many years. I have since repaired my credit and had it in the low to mid XXXX 's. On XX/XX/XXXX this year a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX picked up or bought my old out of date student loans and turned it over to a collection agency called Professional Bureau of Collections. PBC has put these old private student loan debts back on my credit by saying it is new and they are also saying I paid on the loan in XX/XX/XXXX which is a lie. I called PBC and told them what they are doing is illegal by saying my old debt is new and the debt had a payment in XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX but they will not return my calls.

I was contacted around XX/XX/XXXX by phone and it was a representative from Professional Bureau of collections of Maryland. She told me there was a balance of {$340.00} on the account and that i needed to pay right away or they would damage my credit by putting a collection notice on my account. I told her I had not received a letter or bill and I didn't have time to talk. I called back later that day and spoke with a man who was very rude and said the same thing threatening our credit report. I told him that i had not recieved a bill or letter and wasnt going to pay anything until i recieved it. He again threatened my credit and i told him i will wait for the notice. I recieved the Letter dated XX/XX/XXXX and the bill was {$340.00}. I pulled up the EOB from the insurance company that says I owe {$160.00} and that the insurance company had issued a check for {$180.00} on XX/XX/XXXX directly to the creditor. I then called the collection company and told them that I only owe the {$160.00} and had proof that the balance of {$180.00} had been paid by the insurance co. I sent the proof to XXXX and then he called me back and agreed thats all I owe so I paid them over the phone {$160.00}. Yesterday XX/XX/XXXX i recieved a notice on my credit report that there is a collection on my report from the same company. I called them and they said that i still owe the {$180.00} and they will not take the collection down until i pay it. My Insurance company has already Paid it!!!

Check was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX and was accepted/cashed by XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I am in the process of purchasing a home. The Loan Officer called me to say that the Department of Education is reporting that I still have an outstanding student loan in the amount of {$8000.00}. I called the DOE and was told they couldnt tell me anything because the loan had been placed with an agency, the Professional Bureau Of Collections Of Maryland. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX and was given voice mail, where I left a message. I called back later that day after not receiving a call back. I was sent to voice mail again and left another message. They were then closed for the weekend. On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I called and was given voice mail again. I left another message. I called a second time that day after receiving no call back and was transferred to XXXX, who told me he couldnt access my info and he transferred me to another office. I got voice mail again. I left a message. I received no call back so I called yet again. I told the receptionist that I really needed to speak to someone. She transferred me to voice mail AGAIN and I left another message. Im getting no help from this agency and cant even speak to someone about how to prove that the debt is paid. The Department of Education isnt helping at all either. This is keeping me from getting a home.

I noticed on XX/XX/XXXX that my credit score dropped ten points due to the professional bureau of collections posting a deragatory collections account on my XXXX credit report in the amount of {$440.00} dollars. The account was opened XX/XX/XXXX per the collections information on the XXXX report. I instantly knew this information was inaccurate because I paid my XXXX collections bill in XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted the credit bureau to file a dispute. And after 24hrs I decided to call the Professional Bureau of Collections myself and tell them to remove the already paid account. I spoke with a guy who immediately said he would take the derogatory collections account off of my credit report but it would take 60-90 days. At that moment I asked if he could provide me a letter confirming in which he stated he couldnt. I also asked if h could expedite the process he repeated and said it will take 60-90 days. The problem is The Professional Bureau of Collections bought this already paid collections account and did not contact me via mail or phone to tell me about this collection nor tell me that I was able to dispute it. Instead the account was sold to them and they proceeded to put it on my report and not take it off for 90 days. Because of their wrongful actions I was unable to get a company credit card because of this recent collections on my report. This has caused me emotional distress and embarrassment at my job, also financial loss taking the time to investigate.

I received a phone call from PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF Collections a few weeks ago, they stated that i owed them a debit for services provided by western dental, they could not give me any information what so ever other than that I owed them {$1100.00}. I asked her to provide me with a bill or agreement or any-type of proof that I had received whatever service they were billing me, I than asked if this was being reported on my credit and she mentioned it was indeed. This is ridiculous how can PROFESSIONAL Bureau of collection report something on my credit and you have no information to provide the consumer whose credit they are affecting, NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL AT ALL! It has since been several weeks that I asked them verbally to remove this item off of any and all credit reporting bureaus if not send me any type of reason as to why they believe I owe them this debt. I haven't received a response and it still has not been removed from any of my credit reports. Before the phone call was over I asked them if they were recording the conversation I was having with debit collector representative, I had not been asked at the start of the conversation if they had my permission to record call and i had not given consent for them to record. She admitted the conversation was indeed being recorded, I requested copy of recording call and they denied my request. Very shady Illegally purchasing debit and soliciting me over fraudulent charges.

Lender : Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc . XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CO XXXX Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX I was contacted by this collection agency, on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to repay a student loan I had that went into default in the amount {$5300.00}. I have notified the " Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. '' on several occasions between XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX that the debt they are trying to collect does not belong to me. Finally it ended up on my credit report and they started calling my boss at the college I work at trying to collect. I disputed the debt on my credit report and they sent me a validation letter with the contract for the debt. The debt belongs to my husband, on the contract he is listed as " the responsible party ''. My husband and have separate finances, taxes, credit accounts, and even a prenuptial agreement that separates out finances. They have never once sent my husband a collection letter. I have asked them to remove this from my credit report since I am not the responsible party for the debt. I understand that if they get a judgment against my husband they can come after my income since we live in California, a community property state. However, they have not gotten a judgment and if they do our prenuptial agreement will stop them from trying to collect from my income and property. this company did not follow procedure by trying to collect the debt from the " responsible party '' to start with. Now they are putting it on the credit report of someone, me, who did not know about the debt and threatening to take my property and my income.

On XX/XX/2019, my daughter was transported by XXXX ambulance service from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to another. Both facilities are in network, yet XXXX is not in network and charges more than double the allowable amount. XXXX XXXX processed the claim as in network and they were paid for 2 trips instead of one. XXXX erroneously charged ( 2 ) trips because their driver first drove my daughter to the wrong location. They acknowledged over the phone that this was an error and promised to adjust. They have now been paid double by BCBS and continue to bill me. The debt collector said that it doesnt matter that there is an erroneous charge and that it is under review because the debt has been sold to a collector. I told the aggressive collection agency that the case was under review and to stop calling. Despite several requests I still have not received a copy of the trip journal, documentation of the ( 2 ) trips or charges, or a copy of the release for my signature to receive such trip documentation. They have now been paid double by XXXX and continue to bill me. In the meantime, Professional Bureau Collections of Maryland XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), collections has aggressively called and left messages despite being informed that the case is still under review. I just received a message that they have now contacted my employer. This is inappropriate and must stop.

I have an issue with a collection account on my XXXX credit report. I have contacted the collection called Professional Bureau of Collection of Maryland and they are rude and unwilling to comply to the FCRA and FDCPA demands I made. I contacted XXXX XXXX and spent over an hour on the phone with being transferred three times to three different people and departments. In explaining the issue and that this debt collector is not only attempting to collect a debt not mine, without FCRA required proof of debt and documentation, it is ALSO over the Texas statute of limitations and is WAY beyond the 4 year mark. The end result of the hour conversation with XXXX XXXX led to me being told this would be electronically sent to the collection and they have up to 30 days to remove it. This is completely unacceptable to me. I would like the CFPB to please prompt XXXX XXXX to correct this error especially since they admit it is violation of my FCRA rights and they are reporting this KNOWING it is XXXX, in violation and damaging my credit. I have taken every action I know and refuse to accept that this can not be taken care of immediatly and not in a 30 day period. Thank you in advance for your help. If there is anything else I can provide please let me know. I need this off my credit immediately please.

I recently noticed a negative account on my transunion credit report. I notified the company in writing that this debt is from years ago and a company I may have worked for. I did request they provide ALL records and signed documents for the entire account to verify what they are attempting to collect and reporting to the credit bureau. This is not my debt and also beyond the statute of limitations in the state of Texas in which I live. TEXAS statute of limitations is 4 years. This collection agency is in DIRECT violation of the FCRA. I have spoken to Transunion by phone and was told this would be reported to the company electronically and that they would be notified of this FCRA violation and remove the account immediately. I have taken every action to notify them and am treated poorly and ignored. I am complaining now in hopes the CFPB can get this company ( see attached proof of harassment by mail, and also attempting to collect a debt illegally on my credit ) to promptly delete this illegal account from my credit report with XXXX. Please contact me if there is any other item I can provide to get this taken care of at once. The FCRA violation of my rights is hindering my credit and capability to proceed with financial decisions I am presently involved in.

Professional Bureau of Collections Maryland , Inc. Phone # XXXX This company contacted my workplace yesterday ( XX/XX/2019 ) and asked to verify my employment, along with other personal information. The receptionist did not answer their questions. I have NEVER heard of this company and they have not directly contacted me in any sort of way so I assume this must be a scam. I also looked up the phone number and it was nothing but people commenting on it being a scam. I called the number back later last night and they asked me to confirm the last four of my social security number. I let them know that I did not feel comfortable giving that information out to an agency I've never heard of before. She then asked me to confirm my billing address. Again, I told her that I didn't feel comfortable giving that out and asked if she could provide the street number they had on file for me to make sure it was legitimate. She couldn't give me that information so I immediately hung up out of fear of this being a scammer. Is there any way to look into this? If I owe debt, I'd like to take care of it. But I don't think this is legitimate or real in any way.. I appreciate your help. This is such a scary feeling.

I called the debt collection agency ( Professional Collections Bureau of Maryland ) on XX/XX/XXXX to make an offer to settle my debt. I gave them my available hours and asked them not to call me during work. I attempted to contact them and negotiate on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX I did not receive a counter offer or payment options at any of these days. On XX/XX/XXXX the agency attempted to call me during my work hours. On XX/XX/XXXX I returned the call in order let the agency know that they called during my work when I had requested that they do not call and tell them when I would call them again. Later on XX/XX/XXXX the agency again attempted to call me during my work hours. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I called the agency again and received the first counter offer which was greater than the initial borrowed amount. I called a second time on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss a payment plan during this conversation they discussed the additional fees that they would charge during this process and refuse to give me an acceptable minimum regular payment without information on my income ( My current contract of employment expires this month and I do not have regular income going forward ).

I have sent several certified letters to Professional Bureau of C regarding a debt I have had no knowledge of and never had. I asked them to validate the debt because I NEVER had ANY XXXX services. They removed the debt each time but then after a few months they put it back on the report. I few months ago I spoke to a rep at the number listed on my credit report and he acknowledged it would be removed on the next month but it was not. When I called back the agents had an attitude and said I have an attorney on the case. They say each time I called the last call I made I said I had an attorney. I never told them that because I want this removed. At one point I was almost willing to settle it to have it removed for good but they did not talk to me. I have all the letters I sent out previously asking for it to be removed and have disputed it on my credit report. I am not sure what to do because i have attempted to have them validate this debt and they did not. It is for XXXX I told the credit bureaus this was happening and that they keep taking it off and putting it back on but they seem to be of no help. How do I get this permanently removed. Please advise

I received a letter stating this company was trying to collect a debt for another company. With this other company there were three checks written. the bank - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and the check cash agency - XXXX charged numerous fees. I did not know I was only paying fees. This does not make sense to me. The money was in the bank when I wrote the checks and when the checks presented to my account. I will not be responsible for employee error, computer error and employee mishandling and misrepresenting the facts of my account. I have sense closed this account and filed complaints against the bank. this debt if any belongs to the bank.. the bank has paid everyone else including itself. Why the originating reason for any action ( paying the presenter of the check ) was neglected is the banking error. XXXX also collected for itself. I had a conversation with a XXXX agent who evidently facetiously did not do what she said she would do. All if any debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX associate with the collectors claim belongs to the bank and XXXX. I want the CFPB to publish this description on consumerfinance.gov so that others can learn from my experience.

A collection agency I never heard of or talked to or got a notice from reported me to the credit bureau on XX/XX/XXXX over an amount of {$260.00}. The only way I found out about them is when I was looking at my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. I called them and their costumer service were basically rude and misleading. They admitted that they never contacted me before and that reporting a collection on me was a way to get my attention. When I asked them to remove it from credit bureau because what they did does not even comply with the fair credit act that protects consumers, their response was the only way they can do that if I pay first and that they are doing thing legally based on the time they been on business. I am not even sure why I should pay an amount of {$260.00} and all my bills are current. I told them I can't pay for something I don't own. I checked review on XXXX and other customers have the same issue with that company. This collection agency basically is hurting me because I was getting ready to get a home equity loan to renovate my house that is in a bad situation because of contractor fraud.

PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF COLLECTIONS reported to the credit agency on an account before making any contact with me upon receipt of the account. Per the Fair reporting Act ( FCRA ), PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF COLLECTIONS should have contacted me first to give me a chance to address this account prior to taking derogatory actions with the credit reporting agencies under their name. During a recent phone conversation, a PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF COLLECTIONS employee screamed at me that I owed {$630.00} to XXXX XXXX for XXXX services rendered in XXXX of 2020, which is an error. So i called Professional Bureau of Collections of maryland and tried to see if we could settle an over due account. I spoke to XXXX XXXX at ext XXXX and then asked to speak to her manager, XXXX XXXX. she not only handled her job unprofessional and was disgustingly rude, she also prior to end of call on purposely hung up on me. I called back in to file a formal complaint against her and was transferred to XXXX XXXX and he was and claimed to be operations manager for the company. I spoke to him and tried to settle and work with the company to settle an old account. I reported my situation to him which he stated he couldnt speak on because he " didnt know of what happened. '' we could not get to settle anything and feel that this company has some beyond rude managers and have no respect for XXXX veterans! my outcome is that I would like the company to accept my settle amount for the inconvenient actions that the " manager '' XXXX XXXX took, by deliberately hanging up on me. i also would like a phone call back with an apology for her unprofessionalism!

'' He would not provide me with any information regarding how he obtained my colleagues contact information or anything. The only thing he said was how much I owe and to what creditor. On top of that, they call multiple times per day. I told him I wanted to revoke any permission to call any contact phone number he has and only communicate in writing to my home address. To which he replied that is not my right. I have filed a complaint with the original creditor and am waiting to hear back from them about getting the collections activity transferred back to them. The original creditor has been sympathetic and are doing what they can to help transfer the collection activity back to them or another debt collector.

I also had a XXXX XXXX debit act ending in # XXXX original amount owed {$2300.00} settled with a collection agency Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc . Now a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX shows both as negative on my credit. I have reached out to them with proof of payments either with the 1099 and with the letter from Professional Bureau of Collections of MD Inc with the settlement offer, cleared check and letter from them stating that the debit was settled per agreement and closed. XXXX XXXX responds that they will not remove these from my credit and they want to make payment arrangements with them. My debt was transferred from Dept of Education to a private sector for debt collection. Under the current Cares Act and reformatory leniency, considering student debts I opted to take advantage. I was told a payment plant which would last 5 months before I'm out of default, and also, an option to pay {$99.00} for immediate opt-out of loan default. Upon calling this morning I was told that if I don't pay the full {$5000.00} that I wouldn't be able to remove the default, although it's been exempted in the Cares Act to help borrowers get back on foot for paying debt. This company is blatantly telling me they won't allow me to take advantage of this program. First I was told I'd have to wait 5months before I'm out of default although I'd be making payments and now I'm being told I have to pay the full {$5000.00} apart from any program to be cleared of student default. I would really like to start a process of getting my debt removed from this private business of the Dept of Education, which is Collections of XXXX at XXXX.

Another debt collection company name Professional Bureaus of Collections of Maryland Inc is trying to collect the same debt. I believe that XXXX XXXX has violated the FDCPA, first failing to send me a debt collection notice in the mail to give me the chance to dispute this account, reporting this account to the major credit bureaus without a validation of the debt, improper sharing information with a third party my wife, trying to collect a debt that other debt collector allegedly own. I am filling a complaint with Federal Trade Commission and Attorney General Office as well.

This is sort of a long story but the short version goes like this. At the start of last year ( pre COVID-19 ) I began the process of filing my taxes and was successful. At the conclusion of filing my taxes the federal government halted any wage garnishment, tax refund offset and social security off set due to the ragging pandemic which let myself and many other reeling on what to do. This company is almost impossible to contact and does not return phone calls. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and I hope that this issue can be resolved with the company refunding me ever last XXXX the stole from me. This was my tax money that they unlawfully took from me! Thank you!

It shows no activity for 5 years then in XX/XX/XXXX it shows a payment of XXXX was made ( which I did not make ). Then no activity for 3 years and then it shows payments of XXXX each for 23 payments until XX/XX/XXXX. I made none of these payments. I believe they made these payments on my behalf in order to extend the statute of limitations. This account is 11 years old and should be well past the statute of limitations. It shows XXXX as the balance on page XXXX but on the letter it shows I owe XXXX for a vehicle I turned in after 6 months.

I completed the default resolution program and made all my consecutive payments. When I got a new debit card I call the collection agency numerous times with no call back. I was enrolled in school and just got my title 4 back and was all set to start. Now that my funds are to be released they are not giving me the correct status because they said I missed a payment. I was told multiple times that the only way to pay is through the agency servicing my loan i now found out I could've paid directly after I called. I plan to file suit against both parties for damages and pain and suffering as I have been taking these classes with NO indication that I wouldn't have funding and now the school fully expects me to pay for them. This is not fair and unjust. I have attached my letter showing that I am eligible for funding. I called in XXXX/XXXX/ and XXXX of 2019 trying to update my payment method WITH NO RETURN CALL.

XX/XX/XXXX The US Department of the Treasury wrote me and stated the US Department of Education referred me to them to collect a debt I owned. XX/XX/XXXX wrote letter to US Department of the Treasury that I do not owe this debt. The US Department of Education has incorrectly identified me as owing {$100000.00} in student loan debt. Now, the Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland has started taking money from my Social Security benefits. XXXX with no notice or reason defaulted my consolidation loan of {$45000.00} in XXXX. I had been making continuous payments for over five years XXXX to XXXX totaling over {$30000.00}. XXXX defaulted my loan for the entire {$45000.00} as if I had never been making payments. XXXX never said why they defaulted my loan. I need the collection activity to stop. This is my only source of income in my retirement and it is greatly effecting my quality of life.

I sent a letter of dispute on XX/XX/2018 asking for them to validate the account they were attempting to collect by sending a signed contract. They did not send the information I requested, but instead reported to the credit bureau 's that it had been verified as accurate. They have not responded at all to my request. I have informed them that they are are required by federal law to validate - through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract - all accounts you post on a credit report. Otherwise, anyone paying for your reporting services could fax, mail or email in a fraudulent account. I request to see Validated Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has on file of the account they claim I owe since I have never had an account with the company they represent and believe it to be a case of identity theft.

Earlier today I submitted a dispute of the account the above referenced collection agency is attempting to collect from me. Despite not being the person to authorize the opening of the account, I have found an additional violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act Professional Bureau of Collections is attempting to collect a debt that according to the original debtor originated in XX/XX/2013. Professional Bureau of Collections has intentionally reporting inaccurate information. They re-aged this account to display it as a new account opened within the last 4 months to cause as much damage to my credit report as possible. I have already made the company aware of the fact that I did not authorize the account, I am now making the CFPB aware of the fact that they are engaging in unethical collection activity that I wish to stop now.

The collection agency " Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland '' have been reporting a collection account on my credit file since XX/XX/19. I requested validation of date on XX/XX/19 via certified mail and sent a 2nd validation request on XX/XX/19. I also spoke to a representative on XX/XX/19 at XXXX who verified receipt of the validation request and stated " the request has been sent to the original creditor, we are awaiting the documents ''. During this phone conversation the company also attempted to negotiate a settlement amount which was refused by me as I want to validate the debt first. It is now XX/XX/19 ( two months ) since I requested validation of this account and have yet to receive anything. In both letters my mailing address, email address, and phone number was provided to the company so there is no reason as to why I have yet to receive a response.

TO GET TO THE POINT, THIS SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DOWN IN 2015 BEFORE I CAN EVEN START EXTERNSHIPS. BECAUSE OF THE SCHOOLS REPUTATION AS WELL AS THE SCAMMING THAT WAS GOING IN I STILL CANT GET A JOB FOR WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO B GETTING A DEGREE IN. NOW I HAVE THESE LOANS THAT I CAN NOT PAY BACK AND HAS HAD MY WAGES GARNISHED AS WELL AS NIT MY STATE AND FEDERAL RETURNS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. THEY GAVE US THE HOPES THAT AS LONG AS WE KEEP OUR GPA TO THERE SPECIFIC STANDARDS WE WONT HAVE TO PAY BACK LOANS AS WELL AS A STIPEND OF 400 EVERY 2 WEEKS AS LONG AS WE RECEIVED AN A OR B GRADES BIWEEKLY. SO FROM MY UNDERSTANDING THEY TOOK OUR LOANS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO US AND GAVE US WHAT THEY AND AND KEPT THE REST. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IS WHAT THIS IS. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS GOING THRU THIS RIGHT NOW. THEY EVEN ARE TRYING TO SUE THE STUDENTS.

I been in contact with this agency numerous times to submit documentation to enter there rehabilitation program. We Submitted documents in timely manner most day same day with the rep. Documents are not being submitted to admin team in timely manner. I call the agency numerous time and left messages and there have not getting back with me in timely manner. There are letting the documents expire to garnish my wages we have made the appropriate payment on our end and has been looking to enroll in program and there taking the funds and not honoring there end of the agreement to put this loan in good standing. This has been a struggle to get this company to follow there own policy and be ethical and the process. Also they like to keep changing the process of how they receive information because they do such a poor job of following up on there clients

I also advised him is not to call the employer and he has a good direct contact number for me that he may continue to use. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a complaint on PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF COLLECTIONS OF MARYLAND , INC . The complaint stressed out that the collection agency was using " scare tactics '' to try and collect the debt. I called the agency multiple times to try and resolve the matter and let me set up payment to try and get the account current. I was able to start making payment from that date and on XX/XX/XXXX i had a flat tire that put my account overdrawn and did not allow me to make a payment. I called the company on XX/XX/XXXX to try and arrange a payment on the phone but the collector advised me that they would only take the balance on the account. I told them about the situation and said i only had 2 hours to make the payment in full. I want to continue making the payments i have been making so my account can stay current.

I have hired an attorney to try to resolve my student loan matter and get me on a payment plan. I was dealing with XXXX XXXX at Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland Incorporated. I have repeatedly tried to submit my pay stubs and the requested documents. The collection company does not call me back and has not processed my request to get onto a payment plan. I have been trying to repay this loan since XX/XX/2018. The collection company just intercepted my tax return and continues to NOT call me back to deal with the balance of my account. Meanwhile my interest and penalties continue to accrue. Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland is purposely NOT communicating with me so the fees and interest go up. I am unclear what I can do at this stage. I would like a balance owed and I would like to pay it.

I again advised the rep she was violating my rights as a consumer by continuing the conversation while I was in distress I advised the rep I was becoming very ill while speaking with her and that she was adding to my stress level by repeatedly asking me was I going to take care of the debt or not. The call was very unprofessional and it was a inconvenience to me. This harassment was unacceptable and someone needs to take action

PROFESSIONAL BUREAU OF COLLECTIONS OF MARYLAND XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CO XXXX XXXX Has stated i have Federal student loans which i did not, i anything the companies they are even stating are federally loans were private entities and they have reported these loans as federal to the department of education which is fraud against me. The loans they are stating originated in 2009 and clearly would be past the statute of limitations on private loans for ANY LOAN. They also state there was a hearing held which i was involved in which is false. I was not granted a hearing they also state they are garnishing my wages. If the federal goverment has no jurisdiction over private loans then how is this possible they are sending me letters from the department of educations enforcing juridiction?

Well the first company that had my account was through XXXX now it's through the professional Bureau of Maryland. When they call, they call requesting the whole amount and telling me what I should pay instead of taking suggestions from me of what I can and and able to pay at the moment so then I get frustrated and that makes me not even want to make a payment to them because they're telling me what I should pay instead of taking what I'm able to give them. I have not made any payments as of yet I do want to make payments but I refuse to deal with them in making a payment, I would rather make the payments through the loan company themselves than dealing with these people.

You have failed to respond to any of my requests for additional information to determine if this account is legitimate. As a previous victim of identity theft I am concerned about the origin of the account. Despite failing to provide the information to validate the debt you are still reporting the negative account information on my credit report. By failing to provide the information requested to validate the debt AND still reporting the information to the credit bureaus, you are in direct violation of the FCRA and the FDCPA.

I have no dealings with this company and have never heard from them. I 'm also monitoring my credit report and there 's no information here which indicates they should be calling.

I wrote to Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland , Inc. twice by certified mail to request debt validation, specifically proof that they are authorized to collect the debt. I dont know who they are and I have no account with them so I asked for documentation to prove that they have the right to perform collection. They did not send me any agreements, contracts, or assignments with their client that showed they were authorized. Yet, Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland continues with their collection activities including reporting to credit agencies after I asked them to stop.
