During the month of XX/XX/2023 I began looking for a home to purchase on XXXX. I was shortly contacted by XXXX XXXX employee of Addicted Reality ). I explained to him that I was interested in purchasing my home using a 1099-A and would be utilizing my trust. XXXX then connected me with XXXX XXXX via telephone and I explained to him that I would like to purchase a home using a 1099-A and would be utilizing my trust. XXXX XXXX ( owner of XXXX XXXX ) called me the following day and scheduled a meeting for XX/XX/2023. I arrived to the meeting and after discussing the home I was most interested in, he said we would video-chat the lender to begin the process. Before calling XXXX winked at me and said to me, " This is the guy we have to convince to give us the money. '' The man he was referring to was XXXX XXXX ( owner of Pride Lending LLC ). XXXX requested my name, date of birth, address, social security number, etc. He even provided me with a list of things I needed to do immediately in order to receive the pre-approval letter. I did everything he instructed and the meeting was well. During the conclusion of the meeting XXXX said I would receive the pre-approval letter the next day and would call to schedule a date and time for " us '' to go view the property I selected. I was very specific with my intention and expectations to be sure not to waste anyone 's time. I hadn't heard anything from XXXX so I reached out and he explained that XXXX could not verify my trust with the information I gave him. I reached out to XXXX via email asking him if I had been accepted or denied the Jumbo Loan. XXXX would not give me a yes or no and the conversation escalated quickly. I asked him to please escalate this email to the Owner/CEO/ President and he said " I am the owner of the company. I have outlined what is needed to proceed. As I previously stated, unless your credit has increased dramatically, you do not qualify for a loan in the amount you applied for. If you would like to review other loan options at lesser amounts which you may qualify for, you will need to upload the rest of the requisite documentation to the loan portal. If I do not receive by XX/XX/XXXX, I will mark as incomplete and close your file. This will be my last reply on the subject. '' He continued in a following email, " I am a mortgage broker, not a direct lender. I do not approve, deny, or issue commitments to lend. I have a wide range of lenders to whom I can shop around for my clients and broker loans to, but non of my lenders have a jumbo loan product that will accept your XXXX score, meaning I can not submit it to them. You would need to apply directly to a lender and have their underwriter approve or deny you. '' This experience was very deceiving. Speaking with the owner of a company who titles himself as a loan officer under a company called Pride Lending LLC is deceiving. He now has all of my information and I have experienced a significant drop in my credit score since our encounter. I had a XXXX credit score that is now XXXX. Several U.S.C. Codes have been violated.
