On XX/XX/22 I went to use my XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and it was declined. I was very confused as there are sufficient funds in my account. I then went to XXXX only to find out that a hold was put on my account. I was completely besides myself and asked XXXX why> i was told there is a legal hold on my account put on by PORTNOY SCHNECK in the amount {$5800.00} and put the hold for {$11000.00}!!!! At this point in time XXXX told me they could not help me which I am furious about and how could they allow this without confirming all details were accurate. I then googled the name of the Debt collector and called them. They were rude and did not provide me with the facts to back up the claim. They simply told me to fax them a copy of my Bank Statement which I have no clue why I would do so as this is my personal information.

I have a payment arrangement for a student loan account which was agreed to in XXXX of 2023. A form had to be signed and shared with Portnoy then they provided me with an online account to electronically make the payments every month ( includes a file number ). I have made the payments every single month and timely & Portnoy has acknowledged this yet they have are lying to to the credit bureaus when they report every month and indicate that my account is not current. Ive called multiple times and keep getting different stories with false promises of reporting the account as current yet they have not done so. They are not only falsely reporting to credit bureaus but also destroying my credit in the process. This needs to be rectified immediately - its unethical and illegal.

In XX/XX/2022 I had a title search done to identify any outstanding debts that I might have.This debt did show up on the report but I did not recognize it as mine, and there was no address to indicate that it might be me.I never have or would have accumulated that large a debt. My lawyer sent a signed affidavit that said I had no known responsibility of this debt to this company.
