PRA purchased the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX XXXX '' ) XXXX XXXX credit card account ending in XXXX, together with the right to receive payment of the balance due on the account, on or about XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX Business records provided to PRA by XXXX XXXX at the time of our purchase verify that the account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX, for XXXX XXXX whose social security number ends in XXXX and that a balance of {$3700.00} was due on the account at the time of PRA 's purchase. PRA sent its initial notification letter to you on or about XX/XX/XXXX. The PRA account ending in XXXX was placed with the law firm of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) on or about XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX filed suit against you on or about XX/XX/XXXX and obtained a judgment on the account. Correspondence and court records reflect that you were properly notified of the proceedings. Judgment on the account was obtained in Superior Court, XXXX County, California bearing case number XXXX. In response to your disputes, PRA previously sent you the attached letters containing a fraud/identity theft affidavit and instructions for its completion and return as well as account validation. We believe that no further steps in response to your complaint or follow-up actions are required at this time.

I have suddenly started receiving collection calls from PORTFOLIO RECOVERY A Since this is new to me I checked my credit report, I have the app on my phone and check it nearly everyday. I have seen nothing on any of my reports until this happened. They call several times a day, even on Sunday and from numerous cities and states.
Upon checking the 3 credit unions I discovered it was added to all three on or about XX/XX/2021 yet they have been calling non stop for about a month now.
The only information I have is what is on the report XXXX AMOUNT XXXX DATE OPENED XX/XX/2021 # 1- The only account I have had for several years with XXXX is XXXX and I still have it in excellent condition # 2- If the account was not opened until XX/XX/2021 then HOW was it put on my credit report 5 { FIVE } MONTHS EARLIER I have never even been notified of this until now

the company debt collector, portfolio recovery associates XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX va XXXX amount of debt XXXX the company was notified when we noticed the amount on my credit report, i disputed the debt XXXX XXXX replied it was fraud, portfolio keeps contacting me by phone and by letter about this debt, i have sent them letters, and also the document from XXXX XXXX showing it was fraud, portfolio continues to disregard the fcra and fdca, and they are abuseive on the phone, this has been going on for month, the address they show on the debt i never lived at ... this was told to them they continue to hound me and persist i fill out papers for them that consist of what their job is for i refuse to give them any of my info much less do their job for them, i can attach letter i have sent them even by email

They call multiple times through out the day. Have spoken to family members with out my permission who have answered my phone. Sending repeated mail. I have asked them to stop and they continue to call. I have the paperwork. This has been going on for months. At first I did not know that XXXX sold my debt. So I didn't know what it was at first. PORTFOLIO RECOVERY keeps changing the open date so that it can stay on my credit report forever. I have brought this up with XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX several times. PORTFOLIO RECOVERY XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX for {$1100.00} and XXXX. As well as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX {$610.00}. Portfolio is coming up on its 7year mark and should be removed later this year. I don't understand how I can ever move on from this. As well as XXXX XXXX XXXX should show paid in full with all three companies. Not repossessed. I have the letter to back it up.
