I was in an accident XX/XX/2012. I was driving my girlfriends car because she had had a couple drinks and with our children in the car we thought the responsible thing to do was for me to drive us home. On the way we were cut off by another driver and when I tried to brake we slid into his rear end causing damage to his driver rear tail light. I was insured at the time but my insurance company refused to cover me. My girlfriends insurance had lapsed, but even if it hadnt it would not of covered me either. So of course XXXX, the insurance company representing the guy who cut me off, got an inflated estimate of almost {$8000.00} ( for a tail light ). I requested an estimate by someone of my choosing and was refused. I refused to pay, they attempted to sue. I was prepared to go into court and plead my case, but they approached me last minute and offered to let me make payments and I agreed to pay {$100.00} a month which I have done ever since. They have contacted me by phone and left voicemails saying they wanted to review my account. I have called on several occasions and always get their after hours voicemail and never get a response. Yesterday I recieved another voicemail saying that because I refused to call back they have subpoenaed my bank records and decided that my payment should now be {$250.00} mo. I have XXXX kids and my girlfriend living on my income. I just borrowed a large amount of money from my mother to fix up my house and sell it. Now they want to come and take it for a debt I feel I should n't be responsible for to begin with. They say if I dont pay what they dictate they will have my drivers license suspended. Then not only will they not get paid my family will starve. I am in construction and can not take the bus to work. I work in various different places and some dont even have roads to them much less bus routes.

In 2013 I forgot to pay school taxes in the amount of {$170.00}. There was a tax lien put out, so I resolved it the following year when I paid my taxes. Although the issue was taken care of, I have still received phone calls and letters saying I still owe and it has accumulated interest. The total I 'm being told I owe is {$1300.00}, I recently looked at my credit score from XXXX and it shows that the tax lien was released. The lien shows up on XXXX, but there is no other information provided. The attorneys office that keeps calling me and mailing letters, are telling me there is no proof that I paid. And that I must pay the balance.
