I am in a temporary rental at XXXX XXXX XXXX. in XXXX, XXXX. The lease states several forms of rent payment : check, credit, debit, or autopay. Credit and debit cards incur an additional 3.49 % fee. However, the only form of payment they accept is autopay through XXXX. ***TurboTenant uses XXXX which insists on the client providing log in identification and password to their bank accounts***. All it takes is 1error with a decimal point or 1 breach to wipe us out. Additionally, I have experienced multiple problems setting up an account through XXXX 's email links. When one gives bank info with them conducting XXXX mini deposits and withdrawals, their site always claims the reported amounts were wrong when they weren't. The landlord actually came to the apartment where we set up a XXXX way call where I could relate all of the online problems. There was supposed to be an additional call on Monday from the XXXX contact person ( XXXX? ) where I would try to reestablish an account to pay rent as their site reported me as being delinquent on the deposit and rent. The contact person would provide assistance as needed. I never got a call in Monday ( XXXX week of XXXX ). I can not directly reach XXXX through the email this contact person sent nor do I have a phone number for them. The only people who have direct links to XXXX are the landlords. Even the website is geared only to landlords. Even though checks are not accepted, my landlord actually had me write out XXXX checks to XXXX XXXX for the deposit and the rent payment because I'd been struggling for 2 days with the XXXX online site and my accounts were listed as past due. 1. For any agency handling our rent monies, we should have direct contact access by email, or phone numbers. A client should not have the only source of contact as an automated response entity that confuses the message and does not give accurate responses 2. No agency should demand, or have access to our sign in identification or passwords for direct access to our bank accounts, NO exceptions. We never give them to anyone else. 3. A client should have the right to an agency account number for the specific apartment to directly set up the " bill pay function '' with their bank to lessen the likelihood of breaches 4. When an agency specifies more than XXXX form of payment for rent, those methods of payment should be honored. XXXX them is a deliberate misrepresentation 5. A debit card has direct access to a client 's bank account and should not incur a 3.49 % fee for use 6. We should have more than 1 option for rent payments. XXXX XXXX is a more reasonable option as a secondary source of payment as the customer pays a smaller fee to use their service. XXXX. XXXX is just a few days away and I still have not been able to set up an account. Regardless, I do not want to give any third party a direct access to my bank account with my sign on ID and password.. Once again, I will be marked as delinquent in rent payments with the strong possibility of adverse reports to the XXXX credit reporting agencies which will ruin my clear record and credit rating.

I chose the closest issue to my complaint. I have had issues for over a year with Plaid.Many financial institutions use Plaid to connect your banking acct info to other financial institutions ti be able to receive money. Im unable to get access to many financial institutions that holds my funds or allows me to borrow funds because of issues with Plaids Sys.Since many financial institutions use Plaid to connect to your banking acct, if your unable to get through the login process with Plaid you have no access to your money.My issue is that the security answers to my security questions that are set up in their Sys are not being accepted even though they are correct.It took at least 6mos for the situation to kinda get rectified but its happened again. This has caused me to lose my lines of credit with several places and its causing me to not be able to access my funds because my bank info can not be authenticated through the security questions which is the only way to connect to get my money.This has is causing me so much stress and financial hardship because I cant access my money.Plaid has no telephone no and no email address and no mailing address.Youre required to submit tickets online which should be answered within 2 business days but they are not.Now, when trying to submit a ticket it gives an error message saying that the app is no longer supported.I dont know what app they are referring to because Im on their website looking for assistance.This is ridiculous and a beyond serious matter because several financial institutions uses them and theres nothing that can be done to bypass them.I can lose my home, car, credit cards, etc. because of their system issues and theres no way to contact them.Ive even reached out on their social media platforms with no response.I cant function in any way because I cant access my needed funds.They should be shut down.I have several screenshots and emails XXXX from 2022 up until now with the same issue.Now the only way to try to contact them does not work.

The company is called : Plaid. They do money transfers and payments like XXXX, I think. What I do know is, Plaid is only one security breach away from being utterly destroyed and will take out the financial lives of all their customers. They are incredibly irresponsible, and I wonder how Plaid hasn't been shut down. As a customer you have no recourse if something goes wrong. The TOS of their online banking says that if you disclose your username and password to any third party then you have no liability and yet they are asking for customers ' banking username and password in order to have an account! This company breaks 2 fundamental internet security rules : 1 ) never give credentials to a third party. The standard is to redirect the user to a login page on the website of the service providing the login, but Plaid doesn't do this, instead they provide the login form on their own website. Even worse Plaid allows services to embed the form in their website ( as a frame ), and it is impossible for casual users of the internet to tell the difference. This is an unsecure form, so is encouraging bad security practices. 2 ) even worse, Plaid provides a login page that looks very official showing the bank logo and using the bank 's color scheme.

Every since XX/XX/ I have had several problems with my child 's ssa check and all of the money I was getting from unemployment, child support, income tax return etc and still this day I'm having this very same issue my prepaid card with XXXX has been debited XXXX of dollars and none of which I approved lately every since my id and birth certificate ss card and all of these same documents for my children were stolen I have not been able to go prove who i am and the card company takes no responsibility for the money that has been taken from my accounts
