I received a call from a company XXXX XXXX on the afternoon of XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX regarding consolidating my student loans according information they received. I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX a representative of this company who I in the beginning informed due to previous conversation of this nature I was not interested due to fees and payments being too high. He insisted I resubmit information to see how much I would qualify to reduce my debt due to being a XXXX XXXX. I continued to listen to his process and he gathered information. He proceeded to get really private info explaining the only way to see if I qualify was to take this info and get back with me with with quotes. I agreed for the purpose of quotes. He informed me that if I was concerned that any information could be refused and within 72 hours I could cancel the process. He returned with a quote that I was not comfortable with and commenced to explain that was one but could possibly do better. I stated I am not willing to pay more than the agreement I am presently serving. He again sent more forms to process and sent quote and I did not agree again. I eventually, on XX/XX/XXXX called and sent email regarding not being interested and please cancel/ terminate this as discussed. He replied same day " Not a problem! '' My application has been terminated. He further stated this application would be noted. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX whereas I arrived to pick up mail and find a series of envelopes from XXXX addressed to me regarding Congratulations on obtaining a loan and outlined my payments. I immediately notified XXXX who informed me that a Loan on my behalf was submitted and consolidated. I expressed this was concerning seeing that I did not authorize any persons to do so. The representative forwarded my call to another individual who informed me this was done and I could fill out form on fraud that will be sent. It may take 10 days but your account is here and that is done. I requested forms and awaiting. In the meantime, I contacted my bank on XX/XX/XXXX to see if present company XXXX XXXX still made withdrawals. Last was XX/XX/XXXX with XX/XX/XXXX coming the XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX same day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) who informed me I no longer had an account due to a consolidated loan takeover. I then recalled previous ordeal with XXXX XXXX and contacted to speak with Supervisor. I received Representative XXXX XXXX who then expressed I would need to only speak with him and gave his information. He stated he needed to look into the situation. After sometime on the phone, he expressed " we have a new system so old info is gone. '' Trying to figure this out. Give him some time. I agreed. I had not heard from XXXX XXXX so I again contacted him on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. He informed that he was awaiting system to load information to new system. Will contact with favorable solution as I am aware that your information was sent by our Representative. I asked how could this happen? He was unable to give explanation that I could understand. Thanked me for my patience and see what he could work out. Again apologized. I waited and eventually sent email regarding concern of resolution. Now, I receive a voicemail from XXXX XXXX explaining program has been cancelled. He contacted XXXX XXXX ( my original service to Student Loan ) and stated they could not take back loan because it was consolidated. I already explained that concern!!!! I am now awaiting a response from Performance to see what is being done!!!! What kind of fraudulent activity are these two companies involved! What can be done to take care of this matter?

I was contacted by a representative from Performance XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX regarding consolidating my student loans. During this conversation, I was under the impression that the XXXX/month payment for the 36 months was going toward my student payments. It was not until I received a packet of information for XXXX that I discovered that was not the case. During the initial phone conversation with the Customer Service Representative I reiterated the XXXX/ month payment would go towards the student loan balance. Throughout the conversation the Representative told me yes that it would be going towards my balance. I then reached out to Performance XXXX after speaking with XXXX. I asked to have my contract terminated with them. I was told by the Supervisor XXXX that I was not allowed to terminate my contract until he reviewed the phone conversation. I called the next day to touch base with him regarding the situation, and was told he was in a meeting, and he would call back before the end of the day. I never heard from him until I called today ( XX/XX/2017 ). Through our conversation today, he explained the process once again, and we both agreed that there was miscommunication on both ends. He also stated that he did n't want to loose my business, as I was considered a valued customer. I told him that I would go over everything that we spoke about, and that I would be contacting XXXX again, and that I would call back and talk to him later today. I called him back today and explained that I still wanted out of my contract because XXXX has more options that meet my needs. At this time he is still forcing me to pay the XXXX, and will not terminate my contract. At this time, all I want is to have my contract terminated with Performance XXXX.

I was misled by this company ( Performance Settlement ) and cancelled my debt consolidation program on XX/XX/2018 since I was not being informed of my debt status or any details on my account after requesting updates. Was promised full refund less {$55.00} processing fee. Never received after several inquiries and company could not verify amounts, only re-initiated the cancellation on XX/XX/XXXX and again on XX/XX/XXXX. Refund still not received so I disputed all 3 deductions from my XXXX XXXX bank account. My bank provided the provisional credits then ran the 3 amounts back through on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX only notifying me of one of them. I received a check refund from the company for {$520.00} on XX/XX/XXXX but had paid them {$970.00}. No explanation on check stub or breakdown of where the additional refund may be and now company not returning my calls. My bank acct is overdrawn and states the disputes were reversed since company provided them the proof of agreement to pay. My bank was to mail me a copy of the dispute paperwork twice since XX/XX/XXXX and I still have not received it. Ive been scammed and can not re-dispute the charges of XXXX ( 3 times by ACH ) at my bank. I also incurred {$140.00} in bank fees for the 1st disputed payment and had to pay that back as well. Please help me make this right. I am owed {$440.00} from Performance Settlement less the {$55.00} fee which I also do not feel I should have to pay since their dishonesty and broken promises still are not resolved. Thank you.

I am a licensed attorney in the state of California. I have always paid my law student loans on time. I received robocalls that left voicemails on my personal cell ( my cell XXXX ) : 1. ) Fri XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX PT from XXXX, and 2. ) Wed XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX PT from XXXX. Both voicemails failed to identify the company name ( red flag ), but both left the same return phone number : XXXX. I called, today Wed XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX PT, and I spoke with " XXXX. '' I asked him what company he was with. He mumbled " Performance [ inaudible ] LLC. '' When I asked follow-up clarifying questions, it was abundantly clear that he did not want to disclose the name of the company or allow me to get clarity ( another red flag ). I surmised that the company was based in California because of the XXXX area code. I XX/XX/XXXX " performance LLC student loan '' and found their website : http : //www.performanceslc.com/. He hung up after 2 minutes, 47 seconds. I called a second time at XXXX and spoke with a woman. This time I requested that my phone number be removed. She said that they would do so. But there is no way they could have because they did n't even have my first name, and I called from my office line -- not my personal cell. She hung up after 33 seconds. I want them to remove my phone number, which they should n't even have because my phone number is on the FCC Do Not Call registry. I find their business practices underhanded and lacking in transparency. For that reason alone I would avoid them.

I was approached via cellphone from a company named XXXX . This company promises to wipe out my {$16000.00} Federal school loan. This transaction was done all online with me first writing them a letter. This letter stated that I had XXXX income and was approved by the program because of my unemployment status. I was also asked for my income tax forms with social security and drivers license number which I provided the company. I was also told I was approved to pay XXXX dollars for 18 months, and that I also qualified to pay {$50.00} for 36 months. That after fulfilling this obligation I will owe XXXX dollars on my Federal School Loans . But first I must sign a contract to pay {$1400.00} over the course of 18 months or 36 months. I became suspicious when XXXX told me I did n't have to do anything that they would contact the Department of Education and my creditor XXXX sending them a forbearance for my loan. And I wouldnt be responsible for any payment until XXXX . Then I was asked to sign this contract for {$1400.00} which was the cost of my 36 month obligation of 36 month which is actually XXXX dollars and not XXXX dollars. I think this company was trying to qualifiy me and get me to sign as soon as possible. Is this company legitimating helping people this way with their student loans. Or is this just another way to lock me in a contract with them and other companies I know nothing about to defraud me of {$1400.00}?

I got a phone call from performance SLC and the guy i spoke with was XXXX XXXX back in XXXX XXXX. He had told me that the federal loans was going to forgive my loans all of the {$21000.00} except XXXX and broke it down into payments of {$86.00} a month until XXXX of XXXX. I set up everything ( gave my bank account info ). Within a few weeks i got a letter from the federal student loans department telling me i will not be paying nothing so it struck me wrong..If i 'm paying on my students loans what is the {$86.00} being taken out for. I called the number on the federal loans and talked to very nice lady that had informed me that what I was paying on was the paperwork that company did for me not my loans and she said i could have done the paperwork in 5 mins on my own, which made me very upset. I called the company back and told them they scammed me and i wanted my money back that they took from me, they did n't do it. so I had to go and change my account. I called the lady back at student loans place and told them what had happened and i told her not I 'm really scared if they were gon na put it on my credit and she told me to keep an eye on it.. well within two weeks that company put it on my credit and i just filed Bankruptcy with my husband so we can start fresh. I am asking you to please help me get it off my credit and to do something about this company, so the scamming with end and no one else will ever have to deal with this

I contracted with Performance Settlement, a Debt Relief Services company, to negotiate with my credit card companies and personal loan companies to settle my accounts for lower amounts. However, over the span of 2+ years, I paid them over {$7000.00} and Performance Settlement has not settled any of my account. They send me letters telling me the accounts were settled, however, when I contacted the companies all 4 said they had not received the payments as Performance Settlement informed me. In one case, PS debited my account {$640.00}. and paid into someone's account. All documentation is attached. Initially, I attempted to resolved the issue directly with PS. All I received was 'stonewalling ''. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted the XXXX. PS gave a feeble, inaccurate reply, which I countered every point. Although, PS is an active member of the XXXX and is required to reply to consumer complaints, the XXXX has not been able to get another reply from Performance Settlement. The XXXX referred me to you for assistance. Their website offers a 'money back guarantee ' if one is not happy with their services. PS should stop operating a sham and return my money. {$7000.00} is a lot of money to waste if someone is trying to get out of debt like myself.

I was contacted by a program called XXXX XXXX that supposedly helps reduce your student loan. I recently graduated and thought it would help. I was a victim of Hurricane Harvey and needed all the help I could get so I jumped on it. After agreeing to their services I later researched their company and found that they charge for a service that students can do on their own without assistance. I was rushed through the signing process and not given a good explanation of the program. They stated " If you don't act now you might not qualify later because the government is trying to do away with these program ''. Then she promised to lower my student loan to {$35.00} a month. I was blinded by the hope of reducing my student loans. When I called back to speak with the representative she didn't exist? This program scammed me into depositing XXXX and was planning on taking over {$1000.00} for a service that any one can do without assistance. I finally spoke to someone and he denied to help stating its my fault for signing a contract and that he could not honor my request to stop the service. This company scams you by luring students that just graduated promising to help them with a ridiculous number. I fell for it because I didn't research it first.

I have recently hired a company who claimed to consolidate my student loans with the Dept. of Education using program called " Obama Student Loan Forgiveness ''. I know I could have done it directly with the dept of education, but since I work very hard I thought I would not have the time to do this. They made me sign a contract, which seems to be " irrevocable '' and made me liable to pay them {$1400.00} over the course of 3 years to keep renewing my consolidation applications. First problem I had with them is that they made many mistakes on my case and I had to keep calling to correct, such as personal info. Next, they promised I would be paying as low as {$36.00} a month for my loans, which was later confirmed as wrong by the Dept of Education. Next, they promised that all the debt will be settled in less than 20 years, which is NOT what the dept of Education has as true. So far they have taken about {$250.00} dollars from my checking account. Every time I tried to call them to express dissatisfaction with their services, I receive rude, angry and demeaning attitude from the representatives working for this company. I have put a stop in the payments and wish to not continue being taken advantage of by them any longer. Please help!!!!

On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from XXXX XXXX, a sales representative with Performance SLC. After a brief conversation about loan forgiveness and consolidation we began the initial paperwork. After completion, I was given three business days to cancel the contract. On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX and requested a cancellation form via email. I needed more time to review the process and contract. He connected me to his supervisor, XXXX XXXX XXXX who insisted he would send me the emails. He never did and the application was processed to my federal student loan provider, even though I 'd verbal canceled. To this day I was never sent any cancellation paperwork that theyd agreed to be send. I 've called and called since this had initially happened and over the last three days ive called countless times to still recieve no answers. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I called customer service who eventually connected me with XXXX XXXX, a compliance manager, who said he would handle the problem and email cancellation paperwork and more information. I now have not received a thing from him as well. They processed my application and never sent me cancellation forms though I called and verified cancellation within the 3 business days.

I signed a contract with a third party organization. I was told the company works with the US department of education in the Obama federal forgiveness program to consolidate my loans. I pay the company XXXX a month and the only two options to leave the contract is pay them the full XXXX or the continuous XXXX a month. I do n't know where the money is going. I do not believe it is going towards my federal student loans. I have {$44000.00} in subsidized and unsubsidized student loans. I am single, living on my own, working in a XXXX job and i am XXXX hours away from home without a car. Im a recent 2016 XX/XX/XXXX college graduate and im making it on my own. The company has my bank information and home address. If i leave the contract they will garnish my wages and seize my taxes if i do not communicate with them or pay them. Im fair and honest. They can have the previous payments but i do not want to give them any more money because i cant afford it and i am already going back to school this semester for more schooling. When i called my loan servicer i was told that my loans are at default {$0.00} and it has not been any payments made yet. I didnt set up a payment plan with my loan service neither.

My complaint is about Performance SLC, LLC taking advantage of my time of need and misleading me into paying for services that I could have performed for free. In XX/XX/XXXX, their services reached out via text about applying for student loan forgiveness. When I called the provided number, it directed me to a representative that said they could help with my loan forgiveness. They suggested that I consolidate all my students loans before making payments and they asked me various personal information about my background and employment. I sent pictures of my pay stubs to evaluate what payment plan would best fit to annual income. My account was created XX/XX/2017 and they put me on a payment plan of XXXX a month and the first payment was made XX/XX/2017. I thought everything was moving well until I started getting noticed about my due balances to my student loans. I then looked up reviews about Performance SLC and XXXX XXXX XXXX online and found out that other students have fell victim to this company misleading agenda for money and third party involvements.

They claimed they would consolidate my loan and after 3 yrs I would be forgiven of the remainder. They have my social security number ( but I refused to give my bank account info which they were pressing very hard for ). I looked up the company and realized it was a scam. I am worried they will use my social for fraudulent behavior under my name. They are calling and preying on people who are struggling with debt. I sent them an email stating they had did not have permission to use my info for anything but Im not sure what else to do.

I begin using Performance Settlement in XX/XX/2016 in which they promised to dispute wrong information, to settle debts, and increase my credit score. The company never settled any debt and they never increase my score. They took {$5600.00} and no debt were settled as promised and they offered to give me a loan for {$2400.00} to take an advance which is illegal in California. The company never disclose everything they were trying to settle were charged off and it would not increase my score but might hurt my score. They were suppose to save the money in an account until it was enough to settle. When asked how much was in account was {$1.00}. A refund was requested.

I got a call from Perfmance SLC saying that they could get my student loans payments smaller or even forgiven. So they set up an automatic payment to be taken out of my bank account each month and the last two months they have taken {$100.00} out of my account but did not pay it towards my student loans like they said. They did however sign me up to get my loans consolidated, so they could keep taking money out of my account without ever being caught. I would like to try and get if not all but at least some of my money back for I am unemployed at the money and every little bit of money helps.
