I sought to refinance my car loan through Open Road Lending. Over the phone on XX/XX/XXXX I was told that the refinance loan funded that date and that the check was mailed to my prior lender, XXXX, who could expect to receive the payoff check in two days. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX still had not received the check although I was being charged interest finance charges on the new loan as of XX/XX/XXXX, and also being charged finance charges and interest, and now also late fees by XXXX because the payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX on the original loan. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Open Road asking for the status of the payoff to XXXX, and hours later Open Road reported that they mailed the check that day, XX/XX/XXXX, to be delivered by XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX claims a 10 day process time for payoffs and is charging me late charges and interest and threatening adverse credit reporting. I asked Open Road to either revise the loan document to reflect a loan as of XX/XX/XXXX, the date the loan check was cut and mailed, or to refund me the finance charges accruing on their loan since XX/XX/XXXX, given that they forgot to mail the payoff check to XXXX. I also asked them to refund me my late charges by XXXX, which has been charging late fees now since XX/XX/XXXX, and for guidance on how I am supposed to now make TWO CAR LOAN PAYMENTS to two different lenders in the interim, and advised them that they can not switch the title as lender from XXXX while that company has an active loan and security interest. They also switched my car insurance to benefit them as the lender, not XXXX, even though it'll be another 10 days before XXXX processes the loan payoff. This all seems highly unlawful to me to charge interest on a loan 10 days before it was actually funded. Additional complaints about Open Road : Open Road also tried to add " GAP '' insurance to the loan without asking me first, for {$800.00}, and then flat out lied in an email saying that we discussed it when we did not. And dithered on removing that coverage while stating that adding the GAP charge to my loan " wouldn't it be easier to finance the {$800.00} NOW then to have to come up with the {$1200.00} later. But let 's look at the odds that I would I have to come up with that later. That GAP does not come into play at all unless : ( 1 ) I completely total the car ; ( 2 ) within the next 6 or 8 months before the loan is paid down below that GAP ; ( 3 ) the totalling of the car is entirely my fault and not the other driver 's ; and ( 4 ) only if my car insurance does not cover the GAP by paying the loan value ( which is a policy caveat that only costs a few dollars to add ). So I find that extremely shady to add that and then hem and haw to remove it, and rationalize it as though I will have to come up with {$1200.00} so might as well finance it now to HELP ME OUT. Open Road also wanted to " lower my payment '' by extended out the length of the refi back to its original 72 months and I had to insist in order to get a 60 month payment plan. Open Road also then assigned the loan to XXXX XXXX, who seems to have no website for making payments, but charges a late fee immediately on the day following the payment due date. And the payments must be sent by snail mail and also be attached to the CURRENT monthly payment stub which is only mailed out in the current account statement, thus creating plenty of opportunity for a late payment to occur while I am waiting for the correct stub in the mail and then sending the check for payment back " attached to the statement '' ( they also don't even enclose an envelope ). All of this is highly questionable and I will be refinancing again ASAP. In the interim I do not think I should be paying finance charges on a car loan that did not exist on the " funding date '' or even for another 10 days because they forgot to fund the loan.

I made an application with Open Road Lending to refinance my vehicle loan. I was originally offered a rate of 14.25 % and then on XX/XX/XXXX I received an updated email from XXXX XXXX stating that they were able to lower the rate ro 11.25 %. I accepted the terms, cancelled an application with another lender that had a 13.99 % rate as these terms were more favorable. I signed all of the documents required including the POA and title docs. I overnighted those documents back to Open Road on XXXX for a receipt date of XX/XX/XXXX. I received confirmation from my representative that they received a documents sent via XXXX. Then at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX I received another XXXX request without an explanation with terms that have changed to 14.52 %. I called and a representive stated that it was only because the that was the payoff was higher than they initially had on the fully executed contract. I asked for a supervisor. Then I spoke to a supervisor named XXXX XXXX that confirmed what the rep said and couldnt explain any other factors for the reason for the rate change. I asked him when I should have been notified by my assigned rep XXXX XXXX. He said she called me at XXXX and left a voicemail. I asked him to pull the call. He then acted as though he did, didnt even put me on hold and then acted as though she had left a voicemail. I asked why I didnt receive an email explaining any of this and he didnt have an answer that I just needed to sign the docs. I work as a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and retain all of my voicemails for my own auditing and service process. I asked for the info for the executive office or office of the president. He said just to call back and I could speak to them but they had left for the day. They are available M-F XXXX XXXX XXXX. I then asked to speak to a supervisor of his. He transferred me to XXXX XXXX. She then explained that when the rate was adjusted from 14.25 % to 11.25 % it was an error on their behalf based on the LTV calculations and there was nothing she could do to assist. I then asked for who handles complains and why XXXX or the prior rep didnt know that. The LTV used for the 11.25 % calculation was based on a LTV of 105 % instead of the actual LTV of 136.12 %. I told her that I already signed a contract and why wasnt it being honored. She said she didnt have an answer to that. I explained how I had cancelled the app with another lender and how this is now putting me in a worse financial position because of This. I then asked who handles complaints and for the executive office. She said that they dont have an office of the president or escalation process other than filing a complaint with her and she escalates it. I asked her to file a complaint against XXXX, the rep that answered the phone, and XXXX for misleading and deceptive information. I then asked her if they were going to honor the rate I signed and she said she didnt know. That I could pay the balance down in order to get the 14.25 % however every day my balance increases and my value decreases. I asked her for the emails and names of the CEO, COO, CFO and market director. She provided those. I then confirmed with her the information that is being contained in the complaint and she obliged. She did not have a timeline for a response from the CEO or President. This is absolutely deception and misleading and I was the rate that I signed for. I want the rate I signed the contract for honored.

open road lending refinance company. when i first looked at XXXX XXXX list of refinance and information. open road starting calling me about my loan for personal or refinance auto. i told them no i do not want their services and their apr is above 200 %. that is not for me. i started to get phone calls over several times a day about 2 months ago and told them stop calling me and stop looking into my credit. i do not want anything from open road, especially after i spoke with a representative and she told me i qualify for their loan of XXXX i told no i did not request for that if anything i looked into other options XXXX XXXX offered and just use the estimate calculator for a XXXX loan. she said okay we can do that at above 200 % apr i said no do not use my profile and stop calling me i do want your services also stop running my refinance of auto i already was approved back in XXXX - XXXX 2021XXXX as of today i got another hard hit on my auto history credit report all three major and still still being denied by the same company open road lending refinance application number as of today XXXX XX/XX/XXXX2021 i did not request for anyone process any loan auto. i want every and each of auto credit companies that continue to deny my auto refinance to remove from my credit history especially from open road lending refinance company. Also a male customer service rep was calling me over and over for me to agree on any loan i told him to stop stop calling me or i will report you and the company to cfpb. so again if i refuse the loan by phone which i have several times. now i am getting too many hits on my credit history on each major credit bureau and derogatory credit factors : i am not late and i do not have any collection and at this moment my credit history is ruin with too many repeating denials also from credit card companies. i keep getting notices and i know for a fact. i did not apply for the letters that i keep getting recently. i believe my personal profile is and has been tarnish and because i continue to say NO! i do not want any credit or loans or anyone calling me I have notice a duplicate, triplicate trending of my credit being hit hard inquires. how can cfpb help my credit history. please this is too much

Hello, I have been trying to refinance my vehicle. The company I am dealing with is OPEN ROAD. XXXX XXXX The OpenRoad Lending Auto Loan Savings Team XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX / XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX fax ( XXXX ) XXXX text msg XXXX After an approval was offered to me, they starting adding extras which I denied. Extended coverage protection for mechanical issue and also Gap Insurance. After my denial of these products added to my loan, the pace of the transaction slowed down a lot. Even though I requested calls from the loan helper, XXXX, after I leave work, because I have a new job and I am currently going through an extensive amount of training and I am unable to hold on the phone for 30 minutes or more when I try to call this company to follow up on my loan. They did call once or twice but at times I was not available at the times they try to call me. In the meantime they are requesting additional contingencies to move forward. It has been 3 weeks or more since I applied. The loan helpers work on commission so I believe that the picture changed when I rejected their added products. I did have the chance to speak to a XXXX, 2 days ago but she tried to push the Extended coverage and the Gap insurance on my loan, once again I denied that and I got disconnected. The loan assistant XXXX XXXX keeps asking me to log into the application to add the co-borrower, ( which is fine ), I do understand that. However, the link he has sent twice does not work and I do not seem to be progressing much with this company. Now, a person in my family was able to refinance her car loan and she did recommend their services, it looks like in my case I did hit a brick wall head on. This company has rather poor customer service practices and I fear for my private information in the hands of this organization at this point.

Approx XX/XX/XXXX, I received emails with denials for an application of credit for a vehicle or refinancing a vehicle. One after another they kept coming. I had not applied for credit, so this throw a red flag. Then I start receiving letters for the denial seeing my credit score falls below XXXX based on these inquiries and denials. So, I called XXXX first, they told me they had an credit application for financing or refinancing, whoever they informed me that they received my information from Open Road Lending, not knowing why when I have never given them either permission to nor have I applied for anything dealing with a vehicle or refinancing. Both companies pushed the blame on each other and then finally said they received the information from XXXXXXXX XXXX, which I never gave them either permission or authorization to run or share my credit information and adverse effect my credit score. XXXX XXXX was not willing to provide me any information on how they received my approval to run my credit and why it was shared with XXXX, Open Lending, XXXX XXXX XXXX without my knowledge. I spoke with a Rep at XXXX XXXX, who was passing on my request or email with the application of this alleged credit application, she said her supervisor 's name was XXXX was going to be the one to provide a email with that requested proof of an application as of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I still have not received anything from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Open Road Lending or XXXX XXXX giving them approval to access my credit file. They all seem to point to finger at XXXX XXXX who I never gave permission to access my personal information and if so please provide that proof, this is a pure sign of fraud and I would like ALL credit inquiries from each of the companies that illegally obtain my credit information to be REMOVED from ALL three credit reporting agencies.

I'm subscribed to XXXX XXXX 's credit monitoring service. After my score went up a few point, they offered to use their pre-qual form to find my offers for personal loans AFFIRMING that it would not affect my credit. After submit this alleged soft-inquiry I then received alerts from other services I use that my there had been several hard pulls on my credit file which is VERY unacceptable. I'm currently working on my credit and would have NEVER submitted the form if I knew they were going to do a hard pull which is counterproductive to what I have going on. This happened at the beginning of XXXX. I suspect XXXX XXXX illegally and without permission sold my information to other creditors. That is the ONLY way these companies would have even had my information for a hard pull. This is a very misleading tactic by XXXX XXXX and if it is included in their " terms '' it needs to be very clear. XXXX XXXX, Open Road Lending, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX all had access to my credit information FRAUDULENTLY. I had to suffer a score decrease across two bureaus because of this. I reached out to these companies the same day in an attempt to fix this and see what happened but they all acted clueless and said they would TRY to remove the inquiry and that is not good enough because they were never supposed to have my information in the first place. This is the email communcation from one of the companies involved, " [ F ] lagship received the application through Open Road Lending, ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX, case id XXXX on XX/XX/2020. I applied for and was declined by Open Road LLC to refinance my vehicle on or about XX/XX/2020 and I received legal notice in the mail I was declined. Then I received a call from a XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2020 @ XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX stating they received a request to refinance ( which I did NOT submit to them-Open Road did ) and that they needed more info " So we can submit it to our large network of lenders ''. I did not return the call as I had already secured a refinance with a credit union. Then on XX/XX/2020 I received notice from XXXX that XXXX XXXX @ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Ny ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) had pulled my credit WITHOUT my authorization. I immediatly called XXXX XXXX XXXX on a hunch and the woman I spoke with today XX/XX/2020 confirmed yes they had give permission to their banks to pull my credit, even though I had NEVER consented to this! I advised do NOT pull anymore credit and pull my application, I do not need their services. I am shocked that someone, especially a refinance broker like XXXX XXXX would give my sensitive information to their banks to pull my credit with NO permission from me, the consumer. I am also not happy with Open Road LLC selling my sensitive information after declining me as this could lead to fraud. I read the Open Road disclosures which only stated the loan may be provided through them OR their affiliates, not that they would pass my sensitive information on to other 3rd party companies AFTER Open Road LLC declined me!. This is all shady. I want the inquiry removed from my credit and all my information removed from Open Road and ALL of their affiliates files.

I received a solicitation from open road lending XXXX/XXXX/2016 for refinance applied for a refinance and was so called approved for refinance and interest rate@13.64 percent XXXX a month the company had me fax over all documents needed for funding to submit to the so called investor which is XXXX. Spoke to XXXX at XXXX after this so called approval and went through a so called phone interview confirming all of my employment resident info etc .... interest rate 1st payment date recorded affirmation agreeing to the terms of the new loan. He advised it would take a few days to complete the refinance and if there were any additional questions he would contact me. Received a letter in the mail from XXXX advising I did n't qualify for a refinance at this time after they verified my credit. 1. I received a so called approval from open road lending who failed to also disclose this information and 2. I did not give permission for XXXX to pull my credit report. I had my credit pulled and was told the approval expired 30-days from XXXX/XXXX/2016 which was about XXXX/XXXX/2016 this company has completely mislead me as a consumer and I want this resolved and want to know why this was not disclosed and even after applying for the refinance it 's like it was a fake approval. I also will be consulting counsel on this one this is not okay.

I performed the initial steps to see loan refinance options with " Open Road Lending. '' They presented themselves as a middle man of sorts. They would find the best banks and then they would pass along the information. I received a call from one of their representatives stating that they could only talk on the phone. I called the customer representative and gave him the information. I informed him that my only income comes from a XXXX pension. He said, " you 're XXXX? '' I answered yes and said I was on this retirement for 5 years. He questioned how I can be XXXX and have been XXXX when I was XXXX. He then said " this is a problem, the banks wont like it. '' He promised a return call. All I received was an automated email. I wrote a certified letter to the company, asking for the removal of the inquiries. They sent back an official denial letter, stating that they are a dealership, not what they advertised. I submitted a review online to XXXX XXXX, and they responded by saying that they are not a dealership. This is definitely something that a layman would not have picked up, and is deceptive. Their comments regarding my XXXX were borderline harassment, and were discriminatory in nature. The banks that they did send it to were some credit unions in Texas, the same state that " Open Road Lending '' operates.

I have inquiries from XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I also disputed these with the bureaus and they responded they were verified. I then sent letters to these companies and they also responded verified. I called them directly XX/XX/2022 and was given the information for Open Road Lending. I was told they could remove the inquiries if Open Road Lending sent a letter requesting the removal. I contacted Open Road Lending and spoke with XXXX and I explained I never applied for a refinance auto loan. I asked if she could send me proof and she stated all she could send was the adverse letter I was mailed which I never received. As I was asking if she could sent the letters to the banks requesting a removal she states she could not assist me and I have to disputed it with the bureaus. I explained again I have taking all those steps and was redirected back to their company. She started huffing as if she was getting annoyed with me. She then told me by law she had to provide the adverse letter and thats all she could assistme with. I provided my email for the information she claimed she was emailing to me. She told me to call My Auto Loan for further assistance as she could request a removal of the inquiries. I never received any emails from Open Road lending.

We started a refinance with openroadlending. We have good credit and was able to get a new mortgage easily in the last two months. We were just interested in lowering our truck payment. They have lost documents, sent me emails that were sent for others. They do not know what they are sending out or saying most of the time. They asked us for our award letters for our pensions. We sent copies. Then they asked for a copy of our bank statement to show they went in. Now they want tax documents! FOR A CAR LOAN. Talking to the supervisor, I find out that they do not even understand what a defined benefit pension is, or how it is paid out. In the process, they have lost one of the award letters with our social security numbers on it. The service has been terrible, and the loan terms changed through out the process. We had started another refi with them and the loan terms also changed from what we had agreed on. That is only a few of the mistakes made by their " loan specialists ''. I want their inquiries on our credit report removed and I think they need to seriously be investigated. I Have multiple emails from them with many of the mistakes they have made. I also want all our documents returned! I seriously wonder who is stealing our information at this point! XXXX and XXXX XXXX

I was checking into my credit score and accounts on XXXX XXXX. Saw recommended that I had very good or excellent odds of approval for the total outstanding balance on my vehicle. Good interest rate ( almost half of current rate ), advertised for the entirety of the loan amount remaining. I applied with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Was informed after my credit had already been run that they would only be able to finance me half of the amount of the loan. There is more on the loan than the current vehicles MSRP, but the issue for me is that what was projected to me for application ( and even pushed as a great option with great approval odds ) was based on my specific loan amount tied to my vehicle information. It was unethical in my opinion for this firm to advertise the full amount of loan for refinancing. Cost me time, got my hopes up having found a good option, cost points on my credit score and an additional hard inquiry on my credit report. They took my information, but did not hold up their end of the bargain. To me that is misleading advertising and marketing and cost points from an additional hard inquiry. I cant be playing games like that. Trying to get my family into a home and protecting my credit is important to me. Simply put, what was advertised was not the case.

I am financing a car with XXXX XXXX. In the title of my car is my cousin too who absolutly does not mind in provide a Gift Letter to allow another lender finance my car and leave me alone. Last week I had my credit around XXXX. XXXX showed me 3 options to refinance my car. Then I have chosen OpenRoad. I followed the link and I submited what they requested me. Then I got a phone number sugesting me to speak with a representant. I spoke with the representant and they told me they can not do nothing if my cousing is in the title and I have to remove him from the title first. Offcourse I do not know nothing about it and I asked them if they had any idea how to do so. They do not know as she said. Ok. I came home and I decided to go on sunday to XXXX, where I discovered that they run my credit on saturday. Offcourse my credit droped down and I could buy the XXXX eider. On monday I received a letter from OpenRoad. Please find it attached. They said I am approved and I should call them again. then the same problem came. I spoke with every possible manager in that company and I sent them several emails. They do not care. As I know they run my credit asking to 4 banks. If you need anything from me please let me know.

They made me get a paper notorized then a 3 week later they wanted me to get another paper notorized they they asked me five times for bank statement with my bank and other documents after 4 weeks the denied me claiming I put XXXX on application instead of XXXX claiming I lied about what I make they dont understand that I have pay medical insurance XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dental XXXX medicine and that comes out of my social security and they dont understand that why its XXXX and XXXX so they lied have witnessed that they lied they all of a sudden refuse to refinance my car loan they need to be out of business for not real practice procedures all delayed and I was told not to pay my other car loan that Im refinance so I have to pay them soon tomorrow they XXXX me up it cost me XXXX dollars for all this paperwork and stuff I had to pay for I want back I want them out of business keep this complaint on file so others who might have problems with them they arent a good customer relations company need to be out of business

I follow my credit report on XXXX XXXX I decided to get a better interest rate online through open road lending. They tried the old bait switch on me. In XXXX XXXX it said underneath my name that I could go through there and get alone at 13.6 % interest for 60 months for XXXX a month. When I went to finish the loan it went up 2 points and took it out to 72 months which was absolutely absurd. XXXX XXXX from Open road try to trick me into get an XXXX at 72 months. Numbers appear to be coming from open road to XXXX XXXX This XXXX tried to say to me that's she specifically went over the numbers with me on the phone which I didn't hear them. She tried to make me feel stupid by stating over and over again she went over these numbers. On XXXX XXXX it specifically said I could recieve XXXX. Then she kept pressuring me to take the XXXX at 72 months, were my loan already has paid 22 months off. People should be aware of their shaddy business practices.

Hi. I already filed a complaint, which has the following complaint number because it was supposed to have been " resolved '' by a prior complaint here, and OpenRoad Lending was supposed to send me a {$120.00} gift card to reimburse me for financial loses due to finance charges paid on a loan they forgot to fund. I got the gift card today and activated it and they " FORGOT '' to FUND THE CARD! So they forgot to fund my car loan, making me late with my original lender and costing me daily finance charges for 10 days to pay two car loans from two lenders on one car. And they rectified that by forgetting to fund the gift card to reimburse the 10 days of finance charges that they charged me for a loan I never had because they forgot to fund it. Is such a coincidence even possibly accidental? Here is my original complaint, which I reassert since it is entirely unresolved by this {$0.00} balance, UNFUNDED, gift card. XXXX.

I went to my bank got the loan and purchased automobile. I never authorized or called any of the above companies to run credit checks on me. My bank said they do not sell my information. Responded to flyer to refinance auto loan. Submitted info as requested. OpenRoad switched the interest rate from XXXX to XXXX, in spite of the offer. Loan was approved and immediately sold to XXXX XXXX. A GAP policy was included which was never discussed, or agreed to. The GAP form is unsigned. Unable to get any response from OpenRoad, and XXXX says they can not help. I attempted to cancel the whole loan, but was unable to due to the fact they had paid previous lender already. I then began to get credit notices from several firms, indicating that OpenRoad has made hard credit inquiries without my permission. I have attempted to cancel the GAP policy, but no success. This company should be stopped from this bait and switch tactics and misleading advertising.

I received a mailer from open road lending on XX/XX/2018 that says they will lower my interest rate from 6.9 % to 3.5 % on my auto loan. It says my eligibility criteria is because i have good credit.
