This is a company that seems to be meeting all of the above criteria but I marked sued me without properly notifying me of a lawsuit because that seems to be where the trouble with them began. 13 years ago ( approximately ) this company said I owed them money. I began making payments and then asked for verification of the debt. They did not respond so I quit paying and again asked for verification. They then obtained a judgment against me and I only found out later because it showed up on my credit report. They never notified me of a court date. I attempted for 10 years to fight this on my report and the requests from the credit agencies went unanswered. The judgment was obtained in XX/XX/XXXX and expired 10 years later, making it XXXX. It came off my credit report XX/XX/XXXX. During that time I never heard anything from them. I then received a notification that this company has requested a court hearing for XX/XX/XXXX so they can obtain information from XXXX! I looked this information up and the Washington Courts shows they have been to court in XX/XX/XXXX as well for this same thing, having again NEVER notified me! At this point I am figuring they are attempting to seize property or wages for an original debt that was in violation of the FDCTA, then a judgment which was done without legally notifying me, and now they are trying to gain information on an expired ( supposed ) judgment which expired over a year ago and was not re-instated within their legal 90 period! This has been one illegal action after another with the company never responding to my original verification request. They are now and have been apparently since XX/XX/XXXX being sneaky and at this point harassing me by requesting information on an expired judgment. Their court request is in XXXX County, which is 2.5 hours away. This means in order for me to fight this I am either going to have to respond in writing or take an entire day to make the trip out there to fight this in court. All of this for again, an expired illegally obtained judgment which they should not be able to request any information about me. I now have to miss work, spend time and money on the commute, and spend time fighting this.

on XXXX17 at XXXX I called the collection agency to inquire about my debt that XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) had handed over to them. I was transferred to XXXX, who is in charge of my account, I asked how much I owed, what my payment options are, and if I could n't settle the debt for less. When I could not afford the {$300.00} plus monthly payment XXXX XXXX tone with me became extremely condescending and she hung up on me. I called back around XXXX XXXX and asked to speak with a Supervisor and was transferred to XXXX, to make him aware of how XXXX treated me, XXXX went over my debt with me and I asked if he could inquire with XXXX about settling for less, XXXX XXXX tone became very volatile and he stated " that 's not going to happen, I 'm not going to do that '' he also said he 's been down this road for year and it 's a " state thing '' and was inquiring where I went to college and if I work or when i 'm getting my degree, he ended up hanging up on me, but before he did he said " i 'm hanging up on you now '' I said, " yes, this is the same treatment I got from XXXX ''
