Earlier this year in XXXX, I received a collection letter from Olympic Collection Inc ( OCI ), XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, WA XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX claiming that I owe over {$500.00} relating to towing expenses. I called OCI and was told that there is a XXXX XXXX that was towed, and that the vehicle is registered under me thus they sent me a collection letter on behalf of the towing co. I told the case manager that I sold that vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX and that I will provide her information to prove so. On XX/XX/XXXX I emailed them a copy of the Notice of Transfer that I obtained from the local tag agency where I filed the paperwork right after I sold the vehicle. The Notice of Transfer shows that I sold the vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX and it also lists the name and the address of the person the vehicle was sold to. In the State of Oklahoma, when you sell a vehicle, you are required to get a Notice of Transfer to prove that the vehicle have been transferred from the seller to the buyer. From that moment on, it is the responsibility of the buyer to have the vehicle registered in any state they desire ; the seller bares no liability. I called and explained this to an OCI employee and was told this is not enough to prove the vehicle is not mine. I decided to contact the Oklahoma Tax Commission ( OTC ) agency and they agreed with me that according to Oklahoma law. They offered to write a letter on my behalf which stated that " A Notice of Transfer was filed with the State of Oklahoma on XX/XX/XXXX. Per Oklahoma law, XXXX is no longer the owner of record. The Notice of Transfer releases him from liability for this vehicle. '' The letter also includes the office number in case OCI wanted to contact them. I emailed the letter to OCI on XX/XX/XXXX and called twice within 3 weeks and was told that they will contact the Oklahoma Tax Commission and get back to me. I received a call on XX/XX/XXXX from an OCI employee who told me that the claim will go forward since I did not provide enough information which is incorrect. According to the state I reside in and in which I conducted the business, I am not liable for that vehicle.

After going to court on XXXX-XXXX-18 to attempt to come to terms with the collection agency (over a $XXXX medical bill we couldn't afford at the time that bloomed to $XXXX after the collectors got their hands on it) after months of trying to make good faith payments and being denied every time, the attending attorney (XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX #XXXX) advised us that we have 30 days to contact the collector and establish payment arrangements (he stated they will be amenable now, he even provided us with the owners name, XXXX XXXX). We called and I talked to XXXX, she would not entertain anything less than full payment now, I requested to talk to the owner and she said he won't talk to me and eventually hung up on me. I received a call 1/2 hr. later from her boss, XXXX, and again no negotiations were suitable for him. I explained our situation to him and got the "so what" attitude, pay now! I explained that since I became too frail to work and my wife's sole income is supporting us and paying one lump sum would put us on the street in the middle of winter and he just didn't care. We are already skipping some of my other treatments and cannot afford some of the life saving medications I need. His "so what" attitude again prevailed. Then he mentioned that he had pulled up my wife's payroll and stated he would TAKE 1/3 payments to clear the account in 90 days. I asked him what law prevents him from taking payments? His response; ME! They refused to accept XXXX XXXX. that we could sacrifice groceries and daily essentials and still have a home, nope, not happening, so again, I asked to talk to the owner, and again he too hung up on me.

XXXX XXXX . This has been going on since XXXX . They contacted me by phone several times over the past few months, in which I requested written proof of the debt in question. I asked for proof and even went to dispute it, but I was told it was easier to pay it off. In which I have paid monthly payments of {$50.00} to {$150.00} and now find out that not only is the debt in dispute, the total amount was charged off and I do not owe any money and that it was paid by my insurance company. Not only am unsatisfied with their operation, practices, but false names false acquisitions and finally, They WITHDREW {$50.00} ON XXXX / XXXX / XXXX YOU WERE NOT AUTHORIZED TO DO. I do not have any responsibility for the debt they are collecting, I told them if I am responsible for this debt, mail me the documents that make you believe that. THEN THEY stop all other communication with me and with this address under XXXX , and record that I dispute having any obligation for this debt. If you stop your collection of this debt, and sent it to another DEBT Company and also would not indicate to them that it is disputed. reported it to a credit bureau, also report that the debt is disputed. I contacted the BBB, They have numerous slanderous complaints. They do this to people under different names. i even told them THEY were being recorded and they changed their name and hung up. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX , XXXX . XXXX see : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX https : XXXX

Explanation of complaint : This XXXX office, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, never sent me notification of payment due after billing my two insurance companies. In fact, they claim this was a running balance even though I was back in the office for a repair of a crown, because of shoddy workmanship, and they told me I had a XXXX balance. I was recently ( XX/XX/XXXX ) served a summons for a lawsuit for a principal balance of {$160.00} which has now ballooned to {$440.00} including court fees. I was blindsided by this and contacted the XXXX office who confessed they had an incorrect address on file and never called to resolve this. I updated the address with them, when it changed in XXXX, but they inputted the wrong zip code. Because of this I now owe a {$440.00} judgement. Please see attached. The address they had on file was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ... the correct address was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. They either forget to change the zip code from my previous address, which we had all mail forwarded to XXXX address, or simply inputted the wrong zip code. At any time we could have been contacted by phone to resolve this issue but we were never contacted. The collection agency said the left a message, which I never received and sent a mailer which I also never received. I do not have any accounts in collections this has affected my credit report severely. And the XXXX office manager and account manager say they can do nothing but refer me to the collection agency.

On XX/XX/2021 at approximately XXXX, I received a phone call from my mother about a stranger who came to her home with paperwork. Upon answering the knock on the door, the stranger asked, Is XXXX XXXX here? To which my mother responded, Who is asking? The stranger states aloud, I have legal paperwork for her from Olympic Collections - a debt collector that I need you to sign. My mother then responded, I dont know anything about this so I will not sign and I am not taking this. At this point, my father heard the commotion and interceded, stating You need to leave our home. We are going to take your license plate. ( My mother states the plate # started with the letters XXXX on a white XXXX vehicle. My parents are in their XXXX and could not remember the rest of the plate number ). The stranger then proceeds to use profane language as she walks away and speeds off from the driveway, behind my parents van, where the stranger parked her XXXX. My mother felt so humiliated as neighbors from across her home watched this strangers abuse of inappropriate power. I am writing this complaint as I feel that my rights as a consumer have been violated while my elderly parents were harassed. I am mortified that this company would use a stranger to get abusive to elderly patrons as well as share private information regarding any debt to outsiders without my consent nor any previous communication.

Hello, I received notice today that I am being sued for a dental bill for my son for {$180.00}. The collection company did not take all the necessary action to bring this bill to my attention. They did not call me multiple times, did not leave voicemail, did not text me and did not email me. My husband wasnt contacted either. They state they called and sent out a statement, but I have no notice of this and can with 100 % truth tell you I never received multiple attempts from this company at all. I have paid the bill in full, which after fees was {$440.00}. I want all record of this removed from everything. What they did was not right. You can not say you whispered to someone then sue them for not hearing. This isnt even on my credit report that I check weekly. They did not try to bring this to mine or my husbands attention before they decided to sue. My paper shows its was filed on XX/XX/XXXX at my court and today it was received on XX/XX/2021.

The creditor Olympic Collections arrived at my home to give me a summons. When I refused to sign he gave the papers to my roommate and informed us that he will keep coming back. After checking with my county clerk I found out this summons was fake. It did not have a proper case number nor the county clerk 's information. It threatens lawsuit, court fees and garnishment if I do not pay an amount that was more than double the amount owed for " court fees ''. I 've enclosed these documents, as you can see they are dated for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I 've received these on XX/XX/XXXX.

I am currently trying to pay a debt that totals {$58.00} and I am trying to make {$5.00} payments until the debt is paid and the collector is stating she can only take payments of {$50.00} or more. How am I supposed to pay off these debt if I am a single mother of XXXX and helping my elderly parents? Unfortunately we all do n't have incomes that allow us to make {$50.00} payments without worrying about food, gas and other essentials. She is threatening to take legal action when I am trying to pay!
