Last week I was informed I was nine payments behind on my car loan with Old National Bank. Later I was told five payments and after that, asked to only ask to prove, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX payments of 2023. Two of the payments, XXXX and XXXX, that I was told had never been paid because they had not received any payments whatsoever since before XXXX this final time, are listed as processed on my payment history listed on Old Nationals website. So Old National didn't even need proof of two or the 3 payments. They just had to look at my account. I sent proof of a triple payment paid to old national on time, and that was paid prior to these two other payments listed on their own website. I have no problem complying though I just thought that they had lost the payments or there was some issue on their part. Proof of the triple payment credited in XX/XX/XXXX2023, another XX/XX/XXXX23 payment, a XX/XX/XXXX23 payment and then the two payments Old National has listed as cleared on their website under my payment history that totals seven payments in 2 months. listed on their website that's seven payments in 2 months. I'm ahead and payments even without the proof but the payment I'm just trying to send proof of payment for. Old National honestly has a problem with their phone, I am hearing tons of static. I have switched phones but I can not hear the agent whatsoever. I have calmly tried to explain this to XXXX who just continues talking over me and keeps accusing me or being a liar. I assure you as a loan originator and a prominent business person in society of sound mind and age I'm not playing games especially one of my payments are ahead and I'm assisting with a servicer error. XXXX attempts everything she can fighting me instead of trying to work this out. I have sent proof of payment six times, I even hired a forensic accountant, and my bank has sent legal documentation twice. All documents rejected for new excuses every time frivolous excuses, I cut off the corner of the statement so XXXX considered a partial statement, the second time my proof was denied was because I had put notations on which payment was Old Nationals and XXXX considered it altered, another time I didn't provide that back page that is provided for doing your balancing the time it's blank another rejection, and then this final time I sent proof of payment including copy of Old Nationals website where they stated my payments were processed for the months they were asking for, falsifying they had never ever received any payments in 9 months completely untrue I emailed the entire statement carefully, with nothing missing, nothing written on the proof and again it was rejected because the agents stated they will not allow a statement as proof of payment. The bank vice president and to tell her including myself have begged for Old National to inform what they are requiring and how we can send it to them. For some reason the refusing to answer me they go quiet or ignore me I've asked for this information in writing and they refuse. At the bank on speaker it was the artist conversation ever XXXX just ignored us hey just kept stuttering or saying nothing when we ask questions and then we received his manager who was extremely rude where we're trying to assist for the servicing error and provide them documents they've already been provided several times but they just continued not to answer questions refusing to tell us where to send it how to send it and what they wanted. I've been into the bank twice the first time my banker, XXXX was on the phone we were having a very difficult time of hearing her or she was just ignoring us we couldn't figure out it was very odd, my banker informed XXXX there was fraud on my account and a problem with verifying payments and it could take up to 30 days. The vice president of the bank was dumbfounded and confused because they never ever been requested what Old National was requesting and informed me the only thing I have to provide them or legal proof of payment is a bank statement if they think that I'm altering it she would send it directly to them but we could not get an answer on where to send it to. The banker kept trying to explain to XXXX what the issues were but there was no talking to XXXX she just kept talking over them or never ever answered any questions the banker got up and walked out of the room she was so aggravated with the situation. They sent to another banker because she threw her hands up and left the room at that time there was no getting anywhere with XXXX did as the maker told me and told her just hang up talk to her later. XXXX did date some things that she wanted, but they were so odd the banker had me put the phone on hold and asked me if this lady had issues that this was absurd this is from a banker that I'm suing. XXXX had stated something in these regards payments written down on letterhead from each bank, with tracking numbers or tracers or some kind of registration number even the banker didn't know what she was was referring to and stated we can't do some huge internal investigations on payments, that's why we have statements we don't have time for this nonsense. I was then informed that it would not be providing any letterheads unless I wanted to talk to corporate or the fraud department see if they would do an investigation but that wasn't going to happen overnight and basically she got it it would happen at all it was a waste of the banks energy and time. The second time it was her partner XXXX from Old National I was with XXXX Vice President we repeatedly kept asking which payments or how do you want these proof of payments to XXXX who just sat there and wouldn't respond. The XXXX VP again asked for proof in writing to be sent to the bank so that this could be cleared up and done and over with. XXXX and then his manager who we ask for because we couldn't receive any information whatsoever from XXXX, promised me I would receive an email either by the end of the day or the next morning. An email please note I was told over and over again and still being told that this Bank never ever does any kind of business over an email. That was another one of the excuses of why I couldn't send payment they don't use emails. Request never came. In fact the very first time I sent payment proof and the second third time this Bank never said this isn't good enough we hate it you have to resend it it has a fingerprint on it whatever no notification whatsoever and they refuse to answer my phone calls I just kept calling leaving messages I felt like it was intentional like time would run out so they could steal my car I honestly feel like I'm in the middle of some kind of scam. It's so weird and unbelievable and they are so against a customer who's been a great customer who they were loaning money to approximately 4 months ago for another car but I changed my mind because I had such an excellent history with them now treat it like dirt honestly treat it like dirt they won't even accept an email like they always have for a question or even proof of payment to save my vehicle while my parent is XXXX and my sister as well. XXXX told me to go ahead and email the statements, the manager told me to go ahead and send them the statements. I was given an email the same one I had used several times for this Bank and always received a response until now when I'm told they don't use emails whatsoever and that no Bank business is going to be done that way. I took hours away from my family for they needed me the most and spent a great deal of time once again providing the information requested so that the service or can service my account properly finally. Once again proof is rejected and they're going to come steal my car. I'm told no statements and they don't allow conversations by email, it's just another excuse. I tried calling and speaking with XXXX who's back from vacation but I can't even hear her and she refuses to try a different phone even though I've tried three different ones. At the bank we can barely understand her because of some kind of humming noise as well on the Bank 's phone. So currently I don't know what to send how I'm allowed to send it what is considered proof of payment that's different from the rest of the world and what's considered proof of payment by State regulators and the Attorney General who informed me a statement is a legal document and there is no reason it should be refused I would have to contact an attorney but most definitely something didn't seem right here and I needed to report this Bank. XXXX talks down to me screams at me calls me names and refuses to answer any questions she's a bully I'm uncomfortable speaking with her and she gives me great stress I'm threatened repeatedly that they're going to come take my car even though I'm ahead in payments. Old National has been listing my social security number legally on documents as reference numbers I have been toward a great deal of fraud because of it and they refuse to stop this is why I'm having problems with my bank currently they don't care they just keep distributing my social security number illegally. I have informed them that I have a mother in XXXX XXXXXXXX and my sister also is in XXXX both XXXX XXXX XXXX to please just send me a notice tell me what they want and I'll comply I've done it six times at this point but I'm at a loss I feel like this is some sort of scam to steal my vehicle I've always paid diligently the only time there was a problem is when the identity theft from Old National occurred yet they act like they've done nothing. I'm just trying to provide them with information they need but how do you do that when they won't tell you what it is you know you're ahead and payments and you've proven that to them five six times what do I do? I have no options and no directions in order to arrive to a solution this is a crime or a scam but the abuse that I'm enduring from this company is unbearable I need some assistance desperately.

I am trying to refinance my mortgage with XXXX XXXX because of a better rate. I started the process the end of XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my lender sent in for our credit report. ( Which we normally run in the high 700 's to 800 's ) She sent me a copy of it and I noticed I had an amount of XXXX from Old National Bank. As far as I knew I shouldn't owe them anything. ( I have not received a notice from Old National Bank ). I called XXXX XXXX on XXXX at XXXX and I finally talked to XXXX after being transferred many times. She said my problem was the XXXX for a ready reserve loan that I had paid off on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. I have never been notified that I stilled owed on that loan. She said I must have owed interest at the time I paid if off. I told her I would have gotten that payoff from the bank, so why was it not collected at that time and closed? And why have I not been notified? She could not answer. I paid it off over the phone and told her to close that account. I called my lender and she told me that there was a BIGGER problem. Old National reported me late back in XXXX when I refinanced with XXXX XXXX. This is what happened back in XXXX of XXXX .... l received a call from the XXXX XXXX, WI branch letting me know that my HELOC was up for maturity. I did not know this, because I did not receive a notice. I had automatic payments set up on this account. At that time I was told I had 3 choices, I could either pay it off ... .which was a little over XXXX at that time, I could refinance with Old National ( the closest bank to me is 90+ miles ) or I could refinance with another bank closer to me. I was told to call them back to let them know what I decided. ( they do have notes on their files where we had talked ) I called them back and said that I was going with XXXX XXXX and was told that they would make a note on my file. I called my banker at XXXX XXXX and she started on the loan. I made my last payment on my HELOC with Old National on XX/XX/XXXX at which time I was told by my banker to cancel the automatic so I wouldn't have to worry about an over payment. By the time the process was through we closed on XX/XX/XXXX. ( I even received a check back from Old National of XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX because of an over payment. ) I did not even know that I was reported late until I went to refinance here in XXXX. My lender said that I needed to have them send a correction into XXXX to get that off my report. After many different conversations with many people at Old National, at one point I was told to call XXXX XXXX because she was the supervisor. I have left her 2 messages and still have not received a call back. I talked to XXXX on XXXX at XXXX and a few others. XXXX asked me to send a copy of my credit report to them at consumercollections@oldnational.com I did that on XXXX. I was told that she would call me back by at least Wednesday the XXXX. I had not heard back from anyone as of Thursday so I called again. I talked to I think she said her name was XXXX. I tried to explain what happened. She told me they did nothing wrong and that I was late and that it was my problem. I should have known. She hung up on me! I called the XXXX XXXX branch back on Friday XXXX and talked to XXXX. XXXX said she would see what she could do and call me back. She called me back and she was told from XXXX at their consumer collections department that they would not be doing anything. That it was reported correctly and that it would stay as is. XXXX apologized, but she could not do anything. ( she did say she would put a complaint on my file there ). I called my lender back at XXXX XXXX and she said to make a complaint. XXXX said Old National should have put an extension on my loan since they knew it was in the process of being refinanced. Below is the email I sent to Old National Bank consumer collections on XXXX. I still have not gotten even a reply back to this. To Old National please find attached my credit report. It is for XXXX There are actually 2 things on this report. The one is showing that I owed XXXX on account ending in XXXX. I called about this on Friday and was told that it was money I owed on a R/R. I had paid that off in XXXX of XXXX ... .I was told by XXXX that it was interest that I still owed. I have never received a notice, so I did not know I owed it. I made that payment on Friday. That account should now be paid and closed. The biggest issue is for the account ending in XXXX where I was reported for being past due. Sometime at the end of XXXX I was notified from a lender in the XXXX XXXX office that my HELOC was maturing. I did not realize that until she called me. At that time she said I could either pay it off, renew with Old National or renew with another bank closer to me. Since the closest Old National Bank to me is 90+ miles from me, I went to XXXX at XXXX who has been my lender for the past 30+ years. I was told from the lady in XXXX XXXX that she would put a note on my account that this would be taken care of by refinancing at XXXX. I had automatic payments set up to this loan and my last payment was XX/XX/XXXX at which time XXXX told me to cancel so we wouldn't be overpaying because the Title Company would be calling for the Payoff Amount. After the loans were paid off and refinanced with XXXX XXXX in XXXX, I received a check from Old National on XXXX for XXXX Check # XXXX for an " overpayment ''. I'm trying to refinance because of the low rates, but until that is straightened out on my credit report, I can't. If you could please look into this for me! Thanks! I have not had a reply to this email. This is NOT good customer service. ( I used to work for the bank for 23 years here in XXXX, before it was bought out my Old National Bank and then sold now to XXXX XXXX XXXX. ) I know the importance of a good credit report and for this to happen just makes me mad. I don't know if you can do anything, but I wanted to put in a complaint! Thank you!

Please see below for my complaint about how Old National Bank is illegally holding my money and claiming that it never received it ; the literally stole my money and will no return it. Full Bank Name : Old National Bank Bank City, and State : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX Bank Phone Number : XXXX Type of product involved ( i.e., Checking Account, Mortgage Loan, Certificate of Deposit, etc. ) : Checking Account Detailed explanation of the issue including events in the order in which they occurred, names and phone numbers of individuals involved, amounts and dates of any transactions, and any other information that will enable us to thoroughly understand your concerns : XX/XX/XXXX : I logged into my Old National Bank account online and saw a {$0.00} balance, which was fine since I strictly use XXXX and XXXX for payments and Direct Deposit, however I needed to use my XXXX that was integrated with Old National Bank in order to pay rent/fees to my previous Property Management company. Since I noticed a {$0.00} balance, I assumed it would be safe to deposit money into my Old National Bank account in order pay the Property Management company via XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : I transferred {$360.00} from my XXXX account to the LINKED bank account saved in my XXXX account, which was my Old National Bank Checking Account # XXXX ; this transfer was posted on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I ATTEMPTED to log into my Old National Bank account online to see if the {$360.00} was deposited yet, however it said that I could not log in and that I needed to call Old National Bank for further insight. XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called Old National Bank to inquiry about this lack of permission to log into my account. I was told that my account was Charged Off and closed, which is strange since I was 1 ) successfully able to log into my account days prior and 2 ) I was able to successfully send {$360.00} to my account, however there is NO RECORD of the funds actually being deposited ( see the XXXX bank statement provided ). I was then informed that the funds would be returned back to my XXXX account since my Old National Bank account was closed XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called XXXX to file a Dispute in order to ensure that Old National Bank does actually return my money since my account was closed AFTER I transferred money into the account on XX/XX/XXXX ( posted on XX/XX/XXXX via XXXX ). XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called Old National Bank to inquire about the returned funds that they STATED that would indeed be returned since the account was closed. I was then informed that I was charged a Charged Off fee of {$63.00} due to overdrafts, which I had NO IDEA that I overdrafted since I logged onto my account on XX/XX/XXXX and saw a {$0.00} BALANCE, not a NEGATIVE balance. Unfortunately, my XXXX and XXXX account were linked to my Old National Bank account and processed transactions that I was unaware about. I was unaware of this since I stopped using Old National Bank as my main account since around XX/XX/XXXX. Furthermore, Old National Bank stated that they would STILL return my money via a CHECK versus a deposit, which I found really strange. I requested a deposit back to my XXXX account, but they pushed for a Check. I requested to change my address since I no longer lived at the address they have on file, hence I would not have access to deposit the returned check. They stated that I had to go to a branch to change my address, I also found this strange. I then sternly requested to change my address while on the phone with them, the lady stated that they would put me on hold, but they actually HUNG UP. Things got stranger from here.. XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called back AGAIN since the previous woman hung up on me. This rep told me that there is NO RECORD of the attempted {$360.00} deposit from XXXX into my closed Old National Bank account. How is that possible if the lady before said that my money would be returned to me via a check? If there is no record of this attempted transaction, then shouldnt it has been returned to my XXXX account? I was furious. He was of no help and claimed that I did not attempt this transaction and asked how I couldve even attempted to do so. I told him that my Old National Bank account was still linked to my XXXX so I could easily transfer money from one to another. He then inquired to confirm my bank account, I gave him the last 4 digits. My money was literally stolen by Old National Bank. XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called to request bank statements hoping for proof of whether or not the {$360.00} was deposited into my account. The XXXX Bank Statement that goes up to XX/XX/XXXX transactions PROVES that there is NO RECORD of {$360.00} deposit.so where is it as it was NOT returned to my XXXX account?? XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX : I called XXXX as I noticed that my dispute was closed. I asked my it was closed and XXXX stated that Old National Bank CONFIRMED that they received the XXXX XXXXXXXX.however there is no proof in my bank statement and the previous rep literally told me that they did NOT receive the fundsclearly they stole my money. I then REOPENED my dispute with XXXX so they can further investigate and get proof that Old National Bank received my money. XX/XX/XXXX : Once again, I called Old National Bank and calmly discussed the situation. The rep transferred me to Collections and once I explained the situation, the Collections rep said that XXXX or a XXXX was busy and would return my call. It is now XX/XX/XXXX as I type this and I have to receive a call back. I secured a personal loan with First Midwest Bank XX/XX/XXXX. The loan officer, XXXX XXXX, set my account payment to monthly auto draft. For the past 4 years, my payment has been made on time, with no charge backs, through auto draft. According to contract terms. Loan was set to mature XX/XX/XXXX. First Midwest Bank merged to Old National Bank in XXXX, carrying over my loan. Auto draft of monthly payments continued as previous, with no interruptions. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from my credit monitoring service. It stated my credit score had dropped from XXXX to XXXX, because Old National had reported my account as 30 days past due. I have never received any correspondence from Old National Bank of this ; I was under the impression that this loan was fully paid off, as it had always auto drafted, and maturity had reached. I called to inquire about what was happening, and to have the credit reporting reversed. I spoke with customer service, and then a supervisor. This was the first time I was made aware that the policy for the final payment is that it can't be auto drafted. Nowhere in my signed contractual agreement with First Midwest Bank does it state this. The supervisor ( XXXX XXXX, stated they would submit a claim for review, and that they would call back within the week to discuss results. At the time of call, XXXX also told me that my final payment was {$400.00}, and that this policy was of Old National ; not First Midwest. I did not receive a call back from anyone. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called back. I spoke with customer service, and another supervisor. I was told the negative credit report would not be reversed. This verdict is unacceptable to me, as this is not my error, and clearly something that got lost on their end in transition with the merger. Thus, this should be considered a bank error. At the time of call, the supervisor also now told me this was a First Midwest policy, and should be in my original contract ( it is not ). Supervisor submitted another dispute on my behalf, and then transferred me to collections to pay off remaining balance. When I spoke to collections, they also stated this was a First Midwest Policy, and that it should have been on my auto draft form which I signed. Again, It is not. They also gave me a differing pay off amount ; {$440.00}. I also say all of this, to show just how much conflicting misinformation is being spread through this institution, to the consumer. This whole situation has made me feel like this was a " bait and switch '' loan operation. To try to get clarity, I decided to walk into a brick and mortar, and speak with a branch manager. I spoke with XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX, Illinois location. Before speaking with them, I also interacted with a teller, who stated this was an Old National policy. Again, more conflicting information. XXXX was on my side with what had happened, and stated they would back me with my complaint to higher management. They did find that a final statement should have been sent out to me, to notify me that the last payment could only be made over the phone or in person. I did not receive any notification about this, and they can't provide any proof that I would have. XXXX did also state that their system is not reflecting that the account had been paid off, even though I had done so prior to coming in. They stated they would give it a day, and notify me if it still hasn't processed. A day later, XXXX called me to let me know that the payment had not in fact been processed by their collections department, and I would have to call and try to pay again. How is this acceptable? Had I not been in communication with a branch manager, my account would have stayed delinquent even longer. Collecting more interest. At our time of my meeting with XXXX, I also provided my original loan application, as well as, my full loan contract. They read through everything, and also confirmed there is nothing in the documents stating the last payment would not be auto drafted. That XXXX payments would be made ( the full amount of payments for the loan ), and showed my election of monthly auto pay. I can provide such documents here too. At this time I am asking for the bank to reverse the negative credit reporting. How is it acceptable for an organization to ruin someones credit for 7 years, over them not honoring a legal contract, and stating they mailed me something with no proof of delivery. Why does their word grant more importance than my word, or my proof of legal documentation? I have paid this loan correctly for 4 years, I have had an exceptional credit rating for years as well. Why would I ruin that for the last payment? I have filed a dispute directly with the credit bureaus. However, with comments being limited to only 200 characters, It's impossible to clearly state what has happened. At the time of submitting this the 30 day delinquency is still on my credit report. As a business owner, this severely hurts me on a day to day basis. Thanks for your time

My bank First Midwest Bank merged with Old National Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. I had a question with mobile banking on XX/XX/XXXX because my deposit wasn't showing up. I was unable to reach Old National despite multiple phone calls with hold times in excess of an hour. One call I held for two hours without reaching anyone before hanging up. Eventually my mobile deposit showed up. Around noon on XX/XX/XXXX I made a deposit through the XXXX XXXX XXXX drive thru of {$1000.00} check drawn off my joint bank account at XXXX. I deposit a minimum of {$950.00} this way every two weeks when my husband gets paid. Instead of a regular bank reciept, I received what looked like a gas station receipt evidencing my deposit ( see attached ). I thought it was strange but since the information on it looked correct, I left the bank. When I signed onto online banking to verify a different charge went through, I noticed that my deposit wasn't showing up in either my current or available balance as had been the case previously. I looked at my account details screen and it reflected a pending deposit for {$1000.00}, a pending debit transaction of {$1000.00} and a pending debit of {$85.00} that I made yesterday ( see screen shot attached ). I called customer care and the on-hold message indicated wait times of more than 60 minutes. My wait time was around 20 minutes. The agent I spoke to informed me that everything was correct, and that the teller had placed a hold on my deposit at the time of deposit. I asked why a hold would have been placed, I didn't have any issues with my accounts or with deposited items being returned. The agent told me a hold was placed because the check I deposited wasn't cash or an Old National check. I asked why the transaction is showing up on my account as a credit and a debit for the same amount? Was there a problem? The agent told me that was just the way things looked when a hold was placed on the account. That didn't make sense to me so I asked her additional questions about how I can be sure my deposit is really going to show up. She said it would and that she was transferring me to Online Banking. Before I could respond I was transferred back to the queue where I got the message about the hour long hold time again. This time, I held for 15-minutes andhad to start all over again explaining what happened. The new agent told me the deposit was in my account and that she had access to the hold screen that I couldn't see. She said for some reason when the teller places a hold it shows up in online banking as a pending deposit and a pending debit. I told her I thought that was very confusing. I then asked her why the teller hadn't told me that a hold was being placed when I made the deposit. She said that she didn't know but that tellers were placing a one-day teller hold on all former XXXX account deposits as they do for all Old National customers. I asked if this had been included in the giant booklet Old Nat sent us and the agent said she didn't know. I also told her that there was no sign or anything in the drive through alerting customers to the hold that would be placed and that I didn't understand why the teller wouldn't inform a customer that the hold was being placed. The agent said she wasn't sure. I asked what happens if my deposit doesn't show up in my account on Monday? Was there a direct number that I could call? She told me there wasn't a direct line that I either had to call the general number or visit a branch. I told her I thought that customer service had been poor because it seemed like XXXX XXXX was not prepared for customer questions and issues following the merger. I also told them that they needed to get more people on the phones so that customers didn't need to spend hours trying to resolve easy issues or get questions answered. She apologized and indicated that wait times had gotten better - customers were only waiting about 20 minutes today. At this point I still don't know for a fact my money will be in my account on Monday. I don't know why I wasn't informed about the hold placed on my account. I don't understand why wait times are still over an hour or even 20 minutes. It is really stressful not knowing if your money is there for you. The day after the merger wait times were in excess of 2 hours. Lines to see bankers were outside the door around the building. Last week my neighbor was told that there was an hour and a half wait time to see a live banker. In order to get someone to respond to multiple attempts at contact merger week, my son emailed the President whose name and email address were posted on XXXX by another angry customer. He got a response that someone would call him since he was locked out of his account and needed to pay bills. He got no call back from anyone. On XX/XX/2022, my friend XXXX XXXX XXXX asked me for her help. She stated that her sister was trying to send her money through XXXX, but it wasnt working. She knew that I had a set up XXXX account, so she asked if her sister could send me the money in order to deduce whose end of their transaction was broken. Later that day, at XXXX ( Central Daylight Time ), XXXX sister sent me the money using XXXX . I had Old National Bank, which is partnered with XXXX, so every XXXX I would send or receive would go directly into my bank account through Old National Banks online banking app. XXXX sister, XXXX XXXX, sent me {$500.00} with the comment Happy Birthday, and the payment had a confirmation number : XXXX. A few minutes later, XXXX XXXX XXXX me and asked if I had received the money from her sister. I said yes, and she asked if I could just XXXX her the money since she figured out that her own XXXX was not working. I said yes, and at XXXX that same day, I XXXX XXXX the {$500.00}. I thought nothing of the situation. I was just trying to help out someone I thought was my friend. On XX/XX/2022 at XXXX, I received an email from Old National Bank that my access to the XXXX services in my Old National Bank app were deactivated because of suspected fraud. At XXXX that day, after my class was dismissed, I walked to the Old National Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IN XXXX. They told me that the deposit and withdrawal from my account was flagged as fraudulent, and Old National Bank wanted to verify that it wasnt. I explained the transactions and why they happened so quickly, and Old National Bank reactivated my access to XXXX services. Fast forward to XX/XX/2022. I checked my Old National Bank banking app to find a balance of - {$470.00}, with a Pending Transaction of - {$500.00}. I immediately went into that same Old National Bank branch, and they told me it was an issue with my home branch, which is located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IN XXXX. So, I contacted XXXX my home branch regarding this situation. I spoke with a woman named XXXX XXXX, and she told me that the transaction they had previously flagged as fraudulent was reported as a scam by XXXX XXXX, and that I now owed the {$500.00} she sent me. XXXX also told me to get into contact with XXXX XXXX to see if she would send me the money back. XXXX informed me that XXXX wasnt actually her sister, it was her then boyfriends sister, who she had broken up with since then. XXXX was of no help. When I told XXXX that XXXX wasnt of any help, she suggested that I contact XXXX since Old National Bank couldnt access my XXXX information. When I called XXXX, they said that since Old National Bank is a member bank, XXXX doesnt have access to my XXXX information since they dont have access to my bank account. I then called the number on the back of my Old National Bank debit card, which was XXXX. I spoke with a man named XXXX, and he told me that there was nothing he could do to fix the situation. He told me that it was entirely up to XXXX what happens with my account. I then called XXXX, who told me that even though I was the person being scammed, it didnt matter because XXXX had filed her claim before I did, and that since its a he said she said situation, I cant prove that Im being scammed. XXXX also told me that there was no one else who I could contact about the situation, and that she has been in banking for many years, so she knows what shes talking about. She was the most rude customer service representative I have ever spoken to. She did not try and help my situation at all. I found her boss XXXX phone number, which is XXXX. I called him and left him a voicemail regarding my situation, and he never responded to me. I have not been in contact with anybody in regards to this incident since XX/XX/2022, nor have I received anything from Old National Bank. My account has been put on hold since the day this all started, XX/XX/2022. Today, I spoke with my friends mother that works at Old National Bank. She informed me that the {$500.00} that Old National Bank wants me to pay most likely got sent to collections and will affect my credit score. I had no idea about this until today. I have no idea what to do now, and no idea how to prove that I was the one being scammed in this situation. Please help me recover the money Old National Bank has wrongly taken from me, and please help to finally resolve this ongoing issue that no one seems to have any answers to.

I am a victim of the current check theft scheme from US Post Office mailboxes, XXXX XXXX of payee by the thief and then improper deposit of the check by XXXX XXXX XXXX and refusal or inaction on the part of my bank, Old National, to secure return of my funds after reporting the theft to the XXXX Police Department and Old National Bank. On or about XX/XX/2022, a check I placed into the US Post Office mailbox at the US Post Office at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IL, XXXX was stolen by an individual using the name,. The check written in pen and was made out to my mortgage holder in the amount of {$6800.00}. The perpetrator partially acid washed the payee 's name and wrote the name identified above over the original payee 's name and deposited those funds into a XXXX XXXX XXXX account ( copy of the altered check and deposit information attached ). On XX/XX/2022 I received notice from my mortgage company that my XX/XX/2022 mortgage payment in the forementioned amount was not received by them. I commenced an electronic record trace of my check and discovered the fraudulent alteration and negotiation of my check by the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a report of the stolen/faudulently endorsed check at my local Old National Bank . I was instructed, in addition to their forms for this problem, to go to the XXXX Police Department to file a report of the theft. I immediately went to my local precinct, filed the attached report, and returned a copy of the same to my local Old National Bank to complete the process of filing a report of the theft and to secure the return of my funds. I was told by that bank officer that it could take a week to 10 days to secure the return of my funds, but that it was likely I would receive those funds by the end of the week. My account upon which this check was drawn was " frozen '' so that no funds on deposit could be accessed without a personal override by my personal banker. Once the report was filed by this officer, I was told that my personal banker would shepherd the payment of any preauthorized deductions from the closed account for XXXX. According to my personal banker, the matter was referred to Old National 's fraud unit for investigation and resolution, but that I would likely not see return of my funds for two weeks. I coorperated with all requests for additional copies of documents that Old National sought from me to assist in their invesitgation. I awaited a response from them. When I received no response from Old National, I commenced a series of requests for status update as to the return of my funds from Old National through my personal banker. Most of the time she simply did not respond. On 2 occasions she did, noting that she had enlisted her superiors to assist in the process of securing the return of my funds, but without any information or promise of information as to when my funds would be returned. After weeks of no action on Old National 's part I even wrote to the President of Old National to inform him of my dilemma and displeasure with the inaction of Old National. I received no response from him either. I even requested permission to deal directly with Old National 's fraud department personnel investigating my case, but that request has also been ignored by Old National. In the interim, my personal banker has also been derelict in her promise to shepard my preauthorizations for credit card payments established before the theft, such that my credit card payments were not timely paid as set up on my automatic payment calendar, my credit lines have been reduced by the credit card companies and my credit report has been adversely affected. It has been more than 1 month since I reported this event to Old National and I have no resolution nor any timeframe for resolution of return of my funds. I am aware that the UCC Article 3 makes it clear that Old National is liable to me for the payment of this altered check and can exercise any rights it has to recover those improperly paid funds from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, but I should not have to wait for recovery of my original funds from Old National notwithstanding any problems Old National and XXXX XXXX XXXX are having with each other as long as I have acted timely and in good faith with Old National in informing them of the incident and reuqest for return of my funds. I am asking the CFPB to intervene and secure the return of my money

I went to Old National Bank two years ago due to a loss of bank cards at XXXX XXXX XXXX and a personal credit card via th e US Post Office . I forestalled filing a needed report as to nothing ever happened that was out of the ordinary. Then last XXXX I was approached by an unusual male. I did not know the person or why he struck up a conversation as I was leaving that day. Then for some reason the past month unusual phone calls began pertaining to an insurance company I have never dealt with being XXXX XXXX XXXX . I placed the needed phone calls and got a complaint filed. My experience in starting over I found a communication problem existed as to not getting answers to needed questions to avoid financial pitfalls. Last summer I over drafted two times the second time finding out I could get back part of what was lost. But as to the first overdraft issue I never saw a refund and kept waiting for the bank to say something when it happened. Finally I went back in and stated will I see a refund for the first loss and they said no Today I returned as for a trip on Saturday finding I was XXXX over. I found I would not get charged as to the overage it being a service fee. I found there was an option for email that got overlooked and that would have avoided the XXXX monthly fee. I again asked today as to last summer and the first round of overdrafts and told no to that too. Finally I told the bank representative that due to a communication problem from day one, I have money out the window. And that I had other issues as to local banking in XXXX XXXX , Indiana. I ran into a communication problem with XXXX XXXX , and XXXX XXXX Bank inclusively. With the phone app offered I found that has access to my phone and got rid of that altogether. I had gone to another area bank office and found myself leaving with the impression I was being looked at as to my personal life. Another bank office did confirm no, that can not happen and that their office does not abide by that practice being Old National Bank. Then I was told I should go to a womans group locally and that life for me in XXXX XXXX , Indiana would be made better. As to doing this, supposedly life for me would be much smoother as to the amount of interruptions I have been putting up with locally. Previously I had talked to one group not of XXXX XXXX , Indiana and decided to avoid that particular group altogether being Council on Domestic Abuse. I lost a home in XXXX and XXXX did nothing for me being a neighbor to a situation I wanted nothing to do with. I was forced to take the monetary losses and being forced to leave XXXX XXXX to start over. I never have been able to start over as to that particular situation and what I got put through personally. So I walked out not saying much. As to the card loss at XXXX XXXX XXXX , I was told to return repeatedly asking for the cards over a eight week period and then told they had found the card activated but no more as to why it happened or what. In time arrests took place in Indiana as to drivers from California but my cards never found. Finally I changed banks and decided to go to Old National Bank. The start over with a new bank ended up as to other banks I banked at locally, never being given the right answers at the right time. Money being lost and never being able to feel financially comfortable at any point in time. Over the past XXXX years, I have lost emotionally and never being able to feel happy as for XXXX XXXX , Indiana. Any positive move I made as for a XXXX XXXX , or trying to attain a better vehicle, I found I had a wrecking ball in my life destroying my positive dreams. I had lost a car in a flood situation, had everything ready to start my masters and found again, not the right answers. Money and paperwork out the window and smashed dreams.

Thursday XX/XX/2022 On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I mailed a check to XXXX XXXX in memory of my Wife, XXXX XXXX who passed away on XX/XX/XXXX. The check was made out to XXXX XXXX for {$1000.00}. It was check number XXXX. It was drawn on account XXXX at the First Midwest Bank. My wifes name was written on the FOR line of the check. The date on the check is XX/XX/2022. The check was sent by US mail to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, IN XXXX. Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX During the afternoon of XX/XX/XXXX, I checked my bank balance. There was a large check containing an unfamiliar pay-to name. The check was the exact one that I sent to XXXX XXXX. The XXXX name was replaced with the strange name shown on the image of the check in the attachment and the amount had been changed to {$4000.00}. I called the Bank and was told to go to an office and file a Check Authorization Affidavit. A copy of the altered check is attached Friday XX/XX/XXXX I drove to the XXXX branch of the Bank to file the required form. It took over a half hour to complete the transaction because it was the first time the Bank Officer had to file such a complaint. He told me that it would be two to three weeks before a resolution would be made and that I might have to file a complaint with the police. I did not file a complaint with the police at that time. When I returned home, I received a call from the Bank. There was another form that I needed to sign, an altered check form, since the information on the check had been changed. I agreed to return on Saturday to sign the form. Saturday XX/XX/XXXX I returned to the Bank. The officer to whom I spoke on Friday was not there. I went to an Officer at the next desk. She immediately recognized me. She had a paper that needed to be signed. I signed it and she notarized it. That same morning, I sent an E-Mail to XXXX with a copy of the check notifying XXXX XXXX of the breach in security. Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX I drove to the Bank to ask for an update on the check. I sat at the Bank Officers desk for about a half hour before she said that she did not have an update, but when she received a response, she would send me an E-mail. Later in afternoon, after I returned to XXXX, There was a message on the phone from the Banker. She told me that there was no new information. She had been told that the research could take several months. Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX While at the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX I asked if they could check on the status of the check. I was told that they could not access the information and that I needed to go to The XXXX branch for an update. Monday XX/XX/XXXX Monday, I drove to the Bank in XXXX to get a paper notarized. There was no Notary on duty. I then asked a Bank Officer to give me an update on the kitted check. She looked on her computer but could not find the record. She spoke on the phone and left word with someone. She then promised to call me with an update. After leaving the Bank, I drove to the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX to get a document Notarized. While talking to my XXXX XXXX on Saturday, concerning the document, he told me that I should have reported the check problem to the police. When I finished at the Bank, I drove to the XXXX Police Station where I reported the check. The Officer told me that since I had reported the problem to the XXXX XXXX Bank, I should report the crime to the police in XXXX. The Officer filled out a crime report and gave me a crime report number. He planned to send a copy of the report to XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX took the crime report. The number assigned is XXXX. XXXX Police XXXX XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told that the Old National Bank was not responsible and that I should pursue the matter with XXXXIn XXXX, my account was with First Midwest Bank. Since that time, that Bank merged with Old National Bank.

XXXX, there was a fraudulent purchase of a XXXX gift card on my XXXX acct. for {$100.00}. I did not purchase any gift card. I only found out because XXXX tried to put the charge thru the day before & it declined but it went thru the next day when my Social Security check was deposited. They sent an email saying that the card was sent out. I immediately called, spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX said that it had already shipped but she 'd call carrier to try to stop it & I would n't be charged. She told me to change my password and I did. I got a couple of form emails about security & that XXXX had XXXX the password, etc. When I tried to see who the gift card was sent to, it only said " XXXX, XXXX '' ; the email & address were blocked " for privacy ''. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX gift card charges went through. When I tried to log on, my new password did n't work but the old XXXX did! Now I had XXXX more fraudulent charges. I called & spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX promised a refund in 48 hr. When that did n't happen, I called & spoke with XXXX who said it takes XXXX5 days for a refund, which did n't happen either. Then, I asked to speak with a supervisor & got XXXX who said that I would " positively '' have the refund on XXXX. I called back when I did n't, spoke with XXXX XXXX who transferred me to another supervisor : XXXX XXXX who said that " XXXX misspoke '' ; a refund on a debit card takes XXXX10 business days & since it was requested on XXXX, it would be there XXXX. He also said that there was no one else I could speak to & there was no way to expedite the refund. He was sorry that the others had misinformed me but that a refund on a debit card takes XXXX10 business days for the bank to post. I asked to speak with their Accounting/Fraud Dept. & he told me that they were " back room '' & had no in-coming/out-going lines ''. Called XXXX, spoke with supervisor, XXXX who said refund issued XXXX & my bank must 've lost it. She said it showed it had already been processed. XXXX, spoke with supervisor, XXXX, who said that the only way I 'd get a refund was to go to my bank & tell them I wanted to dispute the charges & I would get a refund. The bank had been saying it was an issue that XXXX needed to resolve, not them. I contacted them & disputed it. They denied the claim on XXXX because I 'd done business with XXXX before & they had no way to prove/disprove charges. Of course I 've done business with XXXX before - but not these XXXX gift card charges. I did n't purchase them. XXXX, I called & spoke with XXXX XXXX who said in order to get my entire {$170.00}, she 'd have to put the refund on XXXX gift card & once it was on gift card, she 'd refund it to my debit card. Said she 'd call XXXX to do that. Never heard back from her. XXXX, spoke with XXXX who sent me email with email address for charge inquries ( XXXXXXXXXXXX ) to contact so I " would n't have to deal with this frustration any longer '. XXXX, called XXXX XXXX Bank, spoke with XXXX, Fraud XXXX. XXXX who gave me to XXXX, Customer Service. Spoke with XXXX who said credit had NOT been issued to old or new debit card number. Said she could n't help me because XXXX XXXX had " reached out to XXXX who checked your " profile '' & said you 've done business with them before so there 's no way for " us '' to get " our '' money back, so we declined it. You will need to go to XXXX ''. It 's not their money, it 's my money! I asked her to give me the number that the bank reached XXXX at. Said she did n't have XXXX ; they write or fax. Asked for fax number or address ''. " I do n't have it ''. Said " Give me to someone who does. '' Said could n't, it was the Fraud Dept. & " they do n't have any outside lines ''. Im filing this complaint against Old National Bank of XXXX, Ind. in order to recoup {$410.00} in overdraft charges that I incurred for a series of transactions using my debit card. The charges began XX/XX/XXXX and ended on XX/XX/XXXX. I have a checking and savings account with an Old National Bank branch located in XXXX, Wisconsin. My account with Old National Bank was a continuation of my account with XXXX XXXX which was acquired by Old National Bank in XXXX of XXXX. The conversion of XXXX XXXX and its branches to Old National Bank was completed in XXXX of XXXX. When I began my account with Old National Bank in XXXX of XXXX, I met with XXXX XXXX XXXX, to discuss the details of the account. In the course of our discussion we talked about overdrafts and I pointed out to him that in addition to my checking account, I would continue my savings account which typically had a balance in excess of {$20000.00}. I asked if, in the event of an overdraft, could there be a transfer of funds from the savings account to the checking account in order to avoid overdraft fees. He said that is what would happen should an overdraft occur. In XX/XX/XXXX Old National Bank offered an overdraft protection plan that I declined because of the confirmation given me by XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX that an overdraft on my account would be covered by a transfer from my savings account. In declining the overdraft protection plan, Old National Bank did not inform me that now, in spite of what XXXX XXXX XXXX had told me when I opened my account, the bank would charge me for overdrafts rather than transfer funds from my savings account. When the initial overdraft occurred, Old National Bank had the discretion to deny the use of my debit card but instead allowed the transactions to continue and the charges to accumulate. I still maintain in my savings account a balance in excess of {$20000.00}, I think its only fair to expect that the bank would act on my behalf and not theirs. Overdraft charges on debit card transactions provide an opportunity for easy profit and they made the most of that opportunity. On XX/XX/XXXX, I met with XXXX XXXX XXXX of Old National Bank to discuss what I felt were unfair charges. I pointed out to her what I had been told by XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding how an overdraft would be handled, and she confirmed that XXXX XXXX was correct with regard to that feature of the account. XXXX XXXX said that the reason for the overdrafts was due to the fact that I did not opt out of a provision of the account that allowed for the overdraft charges. When I asked to see my signature on a document showing that I had opted in to that provision she could not produce such a document saying that it would require research. She did not offer to find the document then and has not yet contacted me to show proof of my having agreed to a provision in for overdraft charges. Old National Bank is no stranger to taking advantage of its customers. In a class action suit settled in XX/XX/XXXX, Old National Bank was accused of purposefully posting debit card and ATM transactions in an order that increased depositors overdraft fees. They agreed to a {$4.00} XXXX settlement. The bank in that instance showed a willingness to serve itself instead of its customers. A customer should be able to trust the bank that holds its money, but Old National Bank appears to serve its own interest before its customers interest.

I opened a checking account with them based on this offer and completed all of the listed terns and conditions of the offer but Old National Bank did not add the {$200.00} bonus to my account after I did so. I have attached copies of the details of the promotional offer that I received in branch and the business card of the banker that opened my account, screenshots of the same offer that were advertised on Old National Bank 's website ( this offer was subsequently extended until XX/XX/XXXX ), and copies of my monthly Old National Bank checking account statements for reference. A summary of the listed terms and conditions of the {$200.00} promotional checking bonus offer and how I fulfilled them are detailed below : 1. Open a new ONB Everyday, ONB Preferred, or ONB Classic checking account. I opened a new ONB Everyday checking account. 2. Open the new account by visiting a branch located in XXXX, IN, XXXX, MI, XXXX, KY, the XXXX XXXX of XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, or XXXX, or in the XXXX XXXX of XXXX. I opened the new account in the XXXX, IN branch located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Indiana, XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX. 3. Open the new account by XX/XX/XXXX ( later extended to XX/XX/XXXX ). I opened the new account on XX/XX/XXXX. 4. Open the new account with a minimum opening deposit of {$50.00}. I opened the new account with an opening deposit of {$50.00}. 5. Offer is not available for Old National associates or clients with an existing Old National checking account or checking accounts closed in the past 6 months. I am not an Old National associate. The {$200.00} bonus will be deposited into the new checking account after receiving automatic direct deposits totaling {$500.00} or more within 75 days of account opening. I received a direct deposit of {$510.00} from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. 7. The {$200.00} bonus will be deposited into the new checking account after receiving 10 Old National debit card transactions of {$10.00} or more within 75 days of account opening. I made 10 purchases on my Old National debit card of {$10.00} each with XXXX between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. 8. The account must be open and in good standing at the time the incentive is paid. My account is open and in good standing. 9. Limit one bonus per calendar year, one per account and one per individual. I received a bonus on XX/XX/XXXX on a different checking account. This {$200.00} promotional incentive bonus became payable when I completed all of the listed terms and conditions of the advertised offer on XX/XX/XXXX, which is in a new calendar year and on a new checking account and therefore valid. The terms stating that bonuses are limited to one per calendar year means that it is possible for an individual to receive a bonus each calendar year. If the bank had intended to mean that bonuses are limited to once per lifetime of an individual, they would not have included the phrase " one ... per calendar year ''.

Old National Bank purchased my mortgage when it purchased XXXX XXXX XXXX several years ago. I use a bill pay service in my online banking with XXXX XXXX XXXX to pay my mortgage each month. Each month, my mortgage payment is due on the first. The bill pay system is set to pay a few days to about a week ahead of the due date. This has worked flawlessly since I set it up several years ago as an automatic payment. In XX/XX/2023, I received the mortgage statement due XX/XX/2023. It included late fees on top of double the payment amount that should be due. I tried calling my lender upon noticing the mistake, but their office was closed ( XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2023 ). My XXXX work/travel schedule spanned ONB 's open hours, and they do not have XXXX hours. XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, I called my bank ( XXXX XXXX ), and the associate confirmed that my mortgage payment was sent in late XXXX ( on or about XX/XX/XXXX ) and received by Old National Bank, appearing as a scanned cancelled check as of XX/XX/XXXX. The mortgage payment due XX/XX/2023 had been cleared by the recipient before XX/XX/XXXX, which is within the grace period. On the same day, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from a mortgage collection service within Old National Bank. I called that number, and the associate was able to inform me that my XX/XX/XXXX payment had been applied to my mortgage, but the date was beyond the grace period. She was unable to resolve the error. XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, I called Old National Bank mortgage department at XXXX XXXX. The associate explained that my late fees had been reversed prior to our conversation, and my payment had been applied ; however, the date my payment was applied to my mortgage was approximately 2 weeks later than the date that the bill pay vendor 's check had been scanned by the recipient and was visible to XXXX XXXX XXXX. The associate with Old National Bank speculated that the error was a " fluke '' and there was no necessary action on my part to prevent a repeat occurrence. She further speculated that when my check was received by Old National Bank, the account details were entered incorrectly, and a later audit caught the error, explaining why the payment had been applied late and why the late fee was reversed prior to my call. She assured me that my credit score would not be negatively impacted. Today XX/XX/XXXX, I received an envelope from a Old National Bank. I expected to find a letter of explanation and apology. To my surprise, I discovered a letter explaining that they do not know how to apply my check to any mortgage account in their system. Furthermore, they included the check from the bill pay vendor which is Pay to the Order of Old National Bank. I am in the process of shopping for another home, so any surprises affecting my credit score will cause us to pay points at closing ( costing thousands of dollars ) or bump us to a higher interest rate ( costing several thousands over the life of the loan ). Although this has not yet happened, if Old National Bank can arbitrarily decide that they don't know how to apply my check to my mortgage, then this is a risk out of my control.

Branch Manager of Old National Bank XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, IN XXXX XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/2022 @ approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX sat down with me and discussed the issues of my new account. Recently transactions on the account wasn't processed by me. I was wanting to discuss my options of possible solutions. XXXX suggested that I should closed the account and open a new account. I agreed to a change for a new account. Prior to coming into the bank I with to the ATM and printed balance inquiry. I still have that receipt balance. My father had a checking account at Old National Bank. He passed away unexpectedly on XX/XX/2019. The bank was aware of his death on or around XX/XX/2019. On XX/XX/2019 I went to the Branch location in XXXX, MN and spoke with a senior branch employee and requested the account be frozen immediately and that no transcation be processed on the account. My dad was receiving social security and a pension from XXXX. The payments for XXXX were going to be deposited but would be clawed back due to the date of death and timing of when automatic payments are deposited into the account. I told the bank that money was not be used and would need to be returned. I was called the following day and assured the account was placed on hold and no transactions would be processed. On XX/XX/2019 and XX/XX/2019 the bank took the funds from the checking account and applied to ( 1 ) an unsecured LOC at the Old National and ( 2 ) a mortgage and LOC at Old National Bank secured with my father 's home. Their are now insufficent funds in the account to repay the MSRS and I am being asked to repay this money. The banks actions were very deceptive and caused me and my Dad 's estate significant harm. Had they told me they would process payments to themselves, I would have immediatly opened a probate and taken possession of the assets. I relied on their statements to my detriment and now being asked to payback funds that were not my Dad 's and I do not beleive the bank had a right to take. There are priority debts that need to be paid out of the estate. These mortgages although still due are not priority. In addition, there is a co-borrower on the loans who is still responsible to pay the debt. The bank did not attempt to collect from the co-borrower before taking funds out the bank account that is now property of his estate. I have asked the bank to reverse these transactions and they refuse. In addition, to these transactions they also processsed other ACH payments out of the account after the bank was notified of his death and I was assured the account was frozen. I feel as though the bank acted for their benefit while being Unfair and Deceptive. I relied on their assurance and have been harmed both financially and emotionally due to the stress and circumstances of this situation. I took every action I could up front to avoid this from happening and the bank did not honor my requests in order to exploit my deceased father 's bank account.

This occurred during the transition from First Midwest Bank to Old Nation Bank. When I asked if there was going to be a problem with the timing I was told not to worry, it would be a seamless transition. I wrote a check to XXXX XXXX for {$1600.00} XX/XX/XXXX on my checking account at First Midwest Bank. I received notification from XXXX XXXX that they had not received my payment. When I checked the number of the check on my account I found out the check had been cashed for {$5000.00} to a person I did not know. I said I had no idea who he was and she did paper work to submit to the bank for bank fraud. I signed the form she gave me and it was notarized at the bank. She suggested I file a police report. After 4 months I tried calling customer service at Old National Bank and was told they could not give me any information on the phone nor could they connect me with anyone to discuss this problem. I was told to go to the bank and see a banker. I waited until the 6 months were up and went to the bank to try to find out what was going on. I met with banker # 3, XXXX. she said she would find out what was happening and call me. A few days later she said she was told I would have to come into the bank and sign another affidavit. She apologized. I came in on XX/XX/XXXX, signed the paper work and it was notarized and sent in. I returned to the bank on XX/XX/XXXX and asked what was happening. she had heard nothing. I visited Old National Bank branch ( address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, WI XXXX ) on XX/XX/2019, and Ms. XXXX XXXX helped me open the checking account with {$200.00} promotion. I clearly told her that the promotion was seen on Old National Bank web page when I showed her the web page printout before my account was opened. As I checked the fine prints on the page that there was no specific statement for eligibility, so I mentioned this to Ms. XXXX, and she confirmed that I should be eligible for this promotion. My account was opened successfully in the branch ; before I left, I asked Ms. XXXX if the code for the {$200.00} had been applied to the system during my account was opened, and she said she remembered no code was needed during the promotion period, but she would double check with her colleagues the next day, and would follow up with me later. However, I never heard from her saying anything in XX/XX/XXXX. and XX/XX/XXXX., so I followed the instructions to fulfill the requirements towards the bonus, including electronic statement enrollment, direct deposit set-up, and debit card transactions. After all the requirements were met, I sent Ms. XXXX an email on XX/XX/2019 to confirm whether all requirements were met ; however, in her reply email, she asked me to remind her if I received the flyer in the mail, and claimed only those who received physical flyers were eligible. This is obviously inconsistent with what she told me when I opened the account regarding the promotion eligibility, so I helped her to recall what actually happened when she opened my account ; because it was not my fault, but Old National Banks error for misleading customers in the situation, so I should not be responsible for losing the bonus. Therefore, the bank should honor the bonus as promised during my account opening. Also, since her email said differently with what she told me when I opened the account, I suggested her check surveillance camera in the branch to confirm what I was informed ; but she insisted that she personally could help nothing on the bonus, and she would escalate the issue. On XX/XX/2019 ( over two weeks from my first correspondence ), I emailed her that if I did not receive any progress from the bank on this issue in one more week, I had to file a complaint against the bank to get my bonus.

My lease ended with Old National Bank inXXXX Indiana with the payment made in XX/XX/2019. Around or about XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that the lease had a balance of XXXX but the amount due on the next payment date was XXXX. I contacted Old National immediately and was told that this was just their way of flagging a lease as paid and it would clear up. I asked as to why the were threatening me with collection of a XXXX XXXX dollar debt and reporting to the CB again I was made to feel like an idiot and told they didn't mean it really???? I was sent a letter threatening me with reporting to the credit bureua and that it would impact my credit rating. Just to be clear this was a collection late payment notice for XXXX on a lease that was payed off with a balance of XXXX that was actually refinanced as a purchase with the same bank ONB XXXX. I asked for a letter stating what had happened along with a letter stating that this was a fradulent collection letter for a fictitious amount and all I got from them was we will look into this and note it on your account. I assume they noted on the account with the over XXXX XXXX dollar balance. Is there a recourse when someone issues a letter for an amount that is millions of dollars over the balance that had been paid off? I fulfilled my obligations to Old National they certainly have done nothing but provide me stress and damage to my credit for no fault of my own this is all on them. On XX/XX/2022 My sister sent a XXXX payment of {$2500.00} to me. I received a text message confirming the money from First Midwest that night. First Midwest was merging to Old National Bank. On XX/XX/2023. By my attorneys request ( for the start of a severance with my XXXX XXXX XXXX ) I put A Lock on my corporate dental office checking account. Where any funds deposited into the account would be frozen. Funds could go in. No funds could be withdrawn, wire transferred out. On Friday, XX/XX/2023, I initiated a transfer from my bank to my XXXX account. I had successfully done so a day or two before this time. On Friday, I received an error message saying that they had suspended my transfer and to contact the bank. This was an error with their system I was informed by the bank when I spoke with them the following day ( which was the earliest time I could contact them since the transfer was not during regular banking hours. ) I attempted to contact them three times at the earliest time listed for their hours, and couldn't get through to a customer care agent, as I was advised the bank was closed... even though it was supposed to be open. I called back later and was able to talk to an agent who did say the system had a problem, they were aware of the problem, and they were working to fix the problem, but had no estimate of when the problem would be resolved. I tried again the next day I believe, to see if it had been fixed, and it had been. However, this morning I was notified that the amount was transferred twice, due to this error on the bank 's end. This was very upsetting. This bank had taken over the bank I was initially banking with, and I had never experienced anything like this with the previous bank, or any other bank I've done business with in the past 30 years. Today, the customer " care '' representative told me " Mistakes happen. '' Well, not with my money, they don't. ( Their automated answering system is terrible, and the call dropped three times ( on their end as I made this call with a wired landline phone. Then I had to wait for 15 minutes on hold when I finally was able to complete the connection. ) She said that if they tried to fix it on their end it could take up to 10 days. I have been with XXXX XXXX XXXX for many years and in XXXX, 2015 they were bought out by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Many things have changed since that time in the way they do business. My bank account is tied to my XXXX account which I use a great deal for small purchases ( ie : {$2.00}, XXXX etc ). On XXXX XXXX, 2015 my online banking showed XXXX XXXX charges coming in that day totaling {$630.00} so I transferred {$1000.00} over to the account more than enough to cover these charges so there would not be any overdraft fees. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I checked my online banking only to see that I had been charged {$260.00} for XXXX overdraft fees. Apparently a check for {$550.00} came in after hours of which I had no knowledge of and they paid that before the XXXX XXXX charges that were clearly showing during the day business hours. On XXXX XXXX I went into the branch and spoke with the XXXX regarding this incident. He informed me that the bank sets people up to fail by paying highest to lowest incoming items. He also informed me that this bank currently has a lawsuit going on against them for this type of behavior. He further more informed me that several other large banks around this area have already been challenged with this very practice and been forced to change the way they do this. He told me that XXXX XXXX would not change it unless the government forced them to because it is such a large money maker for the bank. If they would have use chronological time instead of highest to lowest as an honest way of calculating overdraft charges, I would have been charge only {$38.00} instead of {$260.00} that day. I also feel that charging a {$38.00} overdraft fee for a XXXX or even a {$10.00} charge is quite over the line. I have attached copies of my online banking showing this incident. This is not the first time this has occurred for me but I am a senior cistizen livng on a fixed income and feel that I am being taken advantage of. Apparently after the 3 withdrawals the person who had a duplicate card, I'm assuming an employee of the bank cloned my card, tried to make credit card purchases and they were declined according to the person I spoke with at Old National. I found this out the next day XX/XX/2022 when I tried to use my debit card at my local Jewel and it was declined. The new card has never been out of my possession and I am the only person that knew my newly created PIN. I immediately logged into my account saw the 3 transactions for {$180.00} each all were withdrawals were from a XXXX ATM in XXXX XXXX and I knew I did not make them. I then called the bank and they assured me it would be taken care of. They also said they would send me another ATM card, which never arrived. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Old National stating that the transactions were valid and they would not be reimbursing me. They never even called the XXXX XXXX police or the XXXX to pull video recordings of the person that withdrew the money from my account. If I had known they weren't at least going to do what I consider the bare minimum to trying to uncover what happened then I believe they should have to reimburse me for my loses. Violation of the Privacy act of 1974. Old National Bank who holds the loan on my car has been distributing my social security number illegally and continues to do so after giving proof and requesting multiple times for them to stop. Due to Old National Banks negligence my information is being sold on the dark web, loans by strangers have been attempted in my name, large amounts of purchases have been made without my authorization. I have and still am currently all of the above as well as continuing endured great financial loss. I've contacted Old National multiple times, sent them proof that they are using my social security number as a reference number on multiple documents and inform them of the results of their negligence but it continues to fall on deaf ears. Old National refuses to remove my social security number or even address the situation at all, the only thing Old National has done, is report to the credit bureaus that I have missed payments knowingly that they are solely the reason I can not make a payment due to all my accounts being frozen or closed because of them distributing my social security number and it being used fraudulently. Old National is the sole reason I don't have a bank account and that my credit has suffered. My mother is a joint account holder on this account. She had a check stolen from a post office during a well documented drop box break-in event at XXXX, OK. A few other dozen checks were stolen at the same time ( XXXX ). The check was washed with a different recipient and dollar amount ( {$7500.00} ), then cashed on XXXX. We discovered the check fraud during our statement review in early XXXX, XXXX. We promptly contacted Old National Bank ( ONB ) where our checking account resides on XXXX. We then submitted to ONB the requested affidavit along with the police report #, including the letter from the postal service indicating the postal crime and check fraud that occurred. We started inquiring of ONB about reimbursement to our account soon afterwards. In early XXXX, we were told that it takes a while to work through these issues, to be patient, and check back in about 90 days. I contacted ONB on XXXX asking about an update for reimbursement. I was put in contact with the local bank 's branch manager and expressed my concern that I had no evidence or assurance that reimbursement of our account was being pursued. On XXXX, I received an email from the manager indicating that compliance, legal, and senior executives had met to discuss our case and that they would not provide any provisional or permanent credit to our account until they hear back from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( the bank that received the altered check ). I was a customer of First Midwest Bank which was taken over by Old National Bank effective XX/XX/2022. Since the takeover I have not had proper access to my funds. Old National Bank shut off First Midwest debit cards on XX/XX/2022, shutting off my direct access to my funds. I have not received a debit card from the Old National Bank despite ordering a card on XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, and XX/XX/2022. According to several customer service representatives, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX there were debit cards ordered all sent to the wrong address ( two different wrong addresses ), even though they repeatedly tell me they have my correct address on file. I have been unable to get ahold of anyone who has the access or the power to get me a debit card or access to my funds. I have requested to have my funds wired out of the bank so I can get access to pay bill etc. I was told by customer care the only way I can wire funds is to personally come into a branch location which I am unable to do as I currently reside in the state of Arizona and there is not a physical location of this new bank within a thousand miles. Note, when I call the bank each time all of the numbers are routed to a customer service representative results in hour upon hour of being on hold. It is not legal for the bank to seize my funds, cutting off access to me without a court order. Is there anything anyone can do to help me get access to my funds short of getting on a plane ( without access to funds to pay for the ticket ), and going in person to get access to my funds.

On XX/XX/XXXX a check cleared my First Midwest Bank ( now Old National Bank ) checking account. The amount of the cleared check was for {$1500.00}, and I knew I never wrote a check for that large a sum. I noticed it while checking my online account so I clicked to view the check. The name of the person I wrote the check to was crossed out and another name was written over it. The original amount of the check for {$15.00} was changed to {$1500.00}. The line with the written amount remained unchanged ( still written for XXXX and XXXX dollars ), yet this check somehow cleared for {$1500.00}. The check had been mailed at the XXXX, Illinois Post Office, and obviously was intercepted at some point and altered. I immediately went to my First Midwest Branch in XXXX to report the incident. They reported that the check was deposited electronically at XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I was told that the written line amount always would supersede the amount in the dollar amount field, but somehow this was not the case. Also, a crossed-out name should be flagged and such a check should never be cashed. An affidavit was filed around the XXXX of XXXX, when I caught the fraud on my account. It has now been over 3 months and Old National Bank is saying that once the affidavit is filed, things are out of their control. My {$1500.00} has still not been returned to my account. It would seem to be a pretty cut and dried investigation, with 2 glaring changes ( Name crossed out and difference between the dollar amount line and written line amount ). Why would it take so long to return my money?

On XXXX XXXX I deposited a check in the amount of {$25000.00}. Four days later, on XX/XX/2023 I verified deposit and availability of funds. Bank confirmed availability of funds at just over {$40000.00}. Later that same day, I made a payment in the amount of {$28000.00} to XXXX XXXX. Next day ( XX/XX/XXXX ), Old National Bank returned payment as NSF. I contacted bank immediately and talked to branch manager, XXXX XXXX. He informed me bank put a hold on deposit and admitted they failed to advise me or give me any type of notification a hold was put on deposit. Again, this was retroactively done AFTER deposit made and verification of availability of funds. XXXX XXXX admitted mistake was 100 % on Old National Banks end and they would fix it immediately, even going so far as calling XXXX XXXX on three way call to admit mistake and correct it so we could resubmit payment. I was promised follow up next day which never happened. I left several messages on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, none of which were responded to. The only follow-up I have received from XXXX XXXX and Old National Bank was a sales pitch to try and get me to open a high yield account with them! As of XX/XX/XXXX, the funds are STILL not available and I have not received any further follow-up. I do understand banks have a right to hold deposits ; however, I further understand that legally they are required to provide notification of said hold. Old National Banks incompetence and failure to provide the legally required written notice has caused great embarrassment and financial harm to myself.

XX/XX/XXXX Indiana stated that the amount that Old National Bank provided on my XXXX Form XXXX did not match the tax payments they received. My XXXX form shows {$2000.00} was filed with Indiana, however Indiana states they only received {$340.00} of those payments. I called Old National on XX/XX/XXXX and was informed that they merged with First Midwest Bank ( who used to make my pension payments ). Old National decided to merge the state ID 's so that the retiree only received XXXX XXXX form. Originally, Old National Bank tried telling me that it's not their problem. However, they quickly realized it was because I couldn't prove they sent the money. I have been in contact several times with only a response that they are working on it. Original loan was through XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. Old National Bank bought them and started servicing this loan in XX/XX/XXXX. My XX/XX/XXXX payment was made via auto-pay at XXXX XXXX website as was all previous payments. The payment came out of my bank on XX/XX/XXXX, was credited by XXXX XXXX Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, but was mysteriously " reversed '' on XX/XX/XXXX. An error code of " XXXX '' is associated with this reversal, but XXXX XXXX has no explanation as to what that means. This reversal resulted in late fees and continual letters from the XXXX XXXX Collections Dept. However, NO funds were returned to my bank account. This " reversal '' is obviously a computer error on XXXX XXXX 's side since my bank balance the day payment was taken was just shy of $ XXXX AND no funds were credited back to my bank. Since then, late fees have been included... I called the bank twice before receiving the first late notice on XX/XX/XXXX. After that, I have called the collections department AND the Client Care Dept several times. I have been told repeatedly that XXXX XXXX has no idea what happened or why it happened, but demand that I " catch-up '' on my payments. I have a mortgage on a house XXXX. When I moved back XXXX, I rented out the house. After being denied the pay that was due me and being fired when I filed a lawsuit to collect, and a tenant that did not pay, I could no longer afford to keep the house. I also had to put my primary residence on the market. I stopped paying the mortgage in Wisconsin and contacted the lender. I requested to do a deed in lieu of foreclosure. I was told that they would not accept that if I did not put the house on the market. I finally talked them into considering it, but they sent me as much paperwork to complete as if I were buying a house. I spoke to them again and said that I did n't have everything they wanted and they said that they would not consider the deed in lieu without it. Someone contacted me to potentially buy the house on a short sale so I contacted the bank again. Same paperwork and they would not consider it without an offer in hand. The potential buyer did not want to go through the formal offer process without knowing that the bank would consider it. I still can not pay the mortgage and they will still not accept a deed in lieu and are moving forward with foreclosure. I now need to deal with their attorneys. I can not use the XXXX Foreclosure Mediation Program because it requires you to be there in person and I can not afford the trip.

My personal bank information leaked out to these 3 companies. They explained to me they had returned the withdrawals on certain dates. I should have had a small amount left in the account after the Overdraft fees were erased. I been struggling for over a year now with this company that keeps making billing errors, ignoring my certified letters and refuse to communicate with me properly on paper! I and my family members opened accounts at Old National Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. They were approved one day, and login blocked the next. Imagine our surprise when we called in and found out that the accounts were closed! What a great turnaround time, less than 24 hours before they approve our account and close our account. We got a letter in the mail half a week later ( around XX/XX/XXXX ) confirming this. Now, what's more, we each made an initial deposit of {$500.00}. We were never contacted, either by phone, or by mail, as to the existence of this deposit and how it would be returned to us. The agent on the phone similarly made no mention of the deposit or its return. Closing an account is one thing. Although it's terrible customer service, the terms say that companies have the right to close accounts for whatever reason ... sure sure. But companies do not get to close accounts, keep the money, and buy themselves XXXX or whatever else they've done with the {$500.00} deposits they stole from us. And, as a bonus, pretend that the {$500.00} opening deposits don't exist. This is corporate thievery at its worst and Old National should be ashamed.

I would like to file an additional complaint against Old National Bank. Upon reading the response to their complaint more thoroughly after disputing the original response, I read that Old National Bank claims that I went into the banking center which housed my bank account exhibiting disruptive and belligerent behavior. In XXXX of 2013 I had traveled to XXXX for my sisters wedding. I was gone for the entire month of XXXX. Prior to that period I had withdrawn most all my capital in my checking account for financial security for international travel. Basically, what strikes me funny, is how I was disruptive at the XXXX XXXX, MI branch. All I did was deposit {$100.00} and then when they advised me that they would not refund the overdraft fees, I basically told them that when I find a better bank, I would switch over. I now found a better bank. I want evidence produced which backs up Old National 's claims that I was disruptive. I was never asked to leave, I did my business and was gone no more than 10 minutes. I do n't see how that 's being " disruptive. '' Being disruptive is when I would not allow other clients to the window or create a public disturbance, when I did not do that. Furthermore, there were n't even any other clients in the banking center when I went in there. Advise Old National to be careful about slander and libel. If they maintain that I was disturbing and threatening, I will contact my attorney and look into filing a slander or libel suit. I would suggest dropping that claim that I was disruptive, unless they have a recording or physical evidence that I was disruptive at that particular banking center.

Setting up online banking or requesting account info over the phone requires me to provide my full social security number. Old National bank personnel are very adamant about the quality of their security protocols, but they don't seem to understand that their practice of requiring full SSNs to even get in to their system presents an unnecessary security risk to customers. The fact that the Social Security Administration itself, along with the NSA, Dep't of Homeland Security , Dep't of Defense, and many others including banks, have been hacked rendering these assurances moot, It is unnecessary to provide a full SSN to verify someone's ID. Old National is the only institution I deal with that requires this. All others require only the last XXXX digits of the XXXX to verify XXXX XXXX XXXX from another. Old National exposes its customers to abuse and corruption by creating an avoidable opportunity for data miners, scammers, and other nefarious actors to poach important personal information.

I reported several times as I was processing mortgage loans that the loans were NOT DU approved or eligible for a mortgage loan. I was told to process it anyway. Many times I found errors and the loan officer admitting to manipulating a borrowers assets to get approval on a loan when that borrower never had that money in an account. I am older and believe in honesty and not putting people in loans/mortgages that they can not afford only for them to be devastated when they get their home foreclosed on. This is a practice that needs stopped! I was promptly wrote up for job performance after being denied training ( documentation to support ) and at month 3 with the company. This was only an excuse to terminate me because I was questioning their practices.

I receive a biweekly XXXX transfer from the father of my children every two weeks in the amount of {$1000.00}. On XXXX XXXX various changes were made to my First Midwest checking account by Old National Bank as part of their acquisition of First Midwest ( outlined in a separate complaint ). During this transition of my account the XXXX payment was lost, and all attempts to recover the funds have so far failed. XXXX, the originating bank, confirmed that the payment was successfully completed to my account. However despite this evidence, no one at Old National is either willing or able to locate the money, which has left my account overdrawn for the past two weeks and has forced me to beg and borrow money just to make ends meet. Old National Bank called me a couple of weeks ago to ask me to make a payment. I explained that I had never applied for a loan there, and that all three of my credit reports have been frozen for several years, so no one should be able to establish any new credit in my name without my knowing about it, so I assumed that the call was fake. Then, on Thursday XX/XX/2022 I received a Past Due Notice from the same company -- Old National Bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IN XXXX ) -- that showed a principal balance of {$22000.00} that had become past due on XX/XX/2022. I checked my credit reports online immediately, and it appears that the loan was taken out on XX/XX/2022. I believe this loan was done fraudulently without my knowledge. I have no idea how this company was able to create a loan in my name when I have freezes in place with all three credit reporting agencies.

I have been a checking customer of this bank since the mid XXXX '' s. I opened a savings account 2 or 3 years ago. when i opened this account i had asked that they ensure i would be able to make withdrawals via my atm card and that they send me deposit tickets. Last month when i was traveling I tried to make an ATM withdrawal and could not. I opened up a business in XXXX and pulled my credit report. I had a personal loan from FIRST MIDWEST BANK and my loan got paid off got transferred and being collected by OLD NATIONAL BANK. This is the second complaint about the issue. The original complaint ID # XXXX. The bank is Old National Bank, and the account number was XXXX. I initially tried to close the account in person, but an action reopened it. Then, when I had it closed additional charges came in to reopen the account. After my initial complaint ( ID number provided above ), a representative from the bank called and worked with me over the phone. However, the account is not closed. The check was clearly written to our mortgage company. We contacted our bank which is Old national bank and we told to make a police report to report fraud. We did. Old National Bank has just been dropping the ball all around. No customer service ( they even got rid of the email submission form on all digital platforms including their app ), have " lost '' my paycheck multiple times, have credited and uncredited my account multiple times well outside of what actually credits/debits I have done & kept track of, zero accountability to their own mistakes and their customer service people keep trying to tell me what is amd isn't with my account despite screenshots of their issues. We've noticed twice now our bank Old National back dating checks and shuffling things around to allow them to charge more overdraft fees. We had to write one large check in XXXX and knew it would cause an overdraft fee, instead of that check causing a fee the bank shuffled our transactions then backdated and put the check transaction at the bottom enabling them to charge hundreds of dollars in fees. Over the course of 30 days we've incurred over {$760.00} in overdraft fees due to transaction backdating and shuffling plus a {$100.00} fee from our quickbooks payroll because our direct deposits that are processed are always cleared on Fridays were kicked back into a pending status AFTER clearing and posting.

I had monthly automatic payments using my First Midwest checking account. When Old National took over, my bill payments don't show up on my online banking. I have no control over the payments now. I want to stop making payments to an account that has been paid off, but the auto payments continue. I have no way of stopping this. Calls to the one number Old National provides have wait times longer than one hour, according to their phone announcement upon calling. I waited 90 minutes and my call was dropped when an agent finally picked up. Emails go unanswered, and their online " chat '' comes up blank. On XX/XX/2022 I went to Old National Bank in XXXX, Illinois to the bank atm located right outside in the drive thru to deposit cash into my checking account. The atm took the cash and showed a message stating that the atm could not take all of the bills and the message continue to show for several minutes. After this it printed a receipt was given stating to contact your financial institution. No money came back out of the atm and no money was deposited into the bank account. The teller as the bank stated they have never had an issue like this and told me I should have come in to make a deposit. In this case they should not have an atm outside to deposit cash. I deposited a check drawn on the same bank into the ATM checking account XX/XX/XXXX. The bank gave me none of the money for immediate use. Old National Bank issued a {$50.00} invoice for a never used HELOC with {$0.00} balance on it. Despite being set up on auto-pay with Old National Bank and never having a late payment in my life, the bank failed to deduct the {$50.00} charge from my checking account and reported the payment as late on an untouched {$0.00} balance account. Because the account balance showed as {$0.00} online, there was no other way to pay this bill. I spoke with XXXX a banker she advised that I needed to send a copy of death certificate, copies of the XXXX ID and a noterized letter that I wanted to close the accounts. My HSA bank now is charging {$2.00} per month for a paper statement fee. Also, I just spoke with a company which provides a service that I pay for on an annual subscription basis, and they want to charge me a {$2.00} paper billing fee. How can these companies get away with nickel and diming me to death?!? They have been providing paper statements and paper bills, with an option to opt-in to electronic delivery.
