I sold a home in XXXX and retained a mortgage on the property. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX initiated the 'Escrow Agreement ' that covered the loan and administered the loan initially. In XXXX servicing of this contract collection was transferred to Northwest Contract Collections , Inc.. The last payment on this loan was made this month. The final statement from NCCI included an unspecified fee of {$120.00} with me paying {$51.00}. I called and was told that {$6.00} was the regular monthly servicing fee and the rest was half of a account closing fee. I complained that I should not pay the fee. XXXX XXXX, the president of NCCI, called to discuss the fee. The account closing fee was primarily to benefit the buyer by providing him the Deed documents. The fee was split between the buyer and my, based on the original Escrow Agreement. I pointed out that the Escrow Agreement specified splitting only the initiation fees and the regular processing fees ( now {$12.00} per month ) and did not apply to the account closing fee. I feel the buyer should pay the fee. He did not have an answer but refused to change the fee. I'm due {$45.00} as a refund of half of the account closing fee.
