I have made timely payments on my Fed Student loan for over 14 years to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The beginning balance was approximately {$100000.00}. I have paid over {$120000.00} and the balance on the loan is approximately {$95000.00}. When I complained and requested an amortization schedule for a 15 year loan that has the same principal balance as it did 14 years ago, the Servicer informed me that no amortization schedule was available. Then a couple days later, the lender split my loan and transferred it to 2 new servicers, each with the balance apparently. There was no warning, approval, etc. I think this was done in retaliation for my filing a complaint and request for payment history. I have no idea if this loan or lending institution is legitimate. I have no faith that the records are accurate. Equally troubling is that my personal information has now been transferred to 2 additional entities ( including my birth date, personal address, social security number, banking accounts, email etc. ). I understood that the lender may select a servicing entity at the time of consolidation but it can not retaliatorily " split and transfer '' balances. This is a student loan, not a revolving credit card ( and hopefully not a pyramid scheme ). A 20 % return on investment should be adequate for student lending.

I received a letter from my student loan lender Northstar, which claimed that they would be suspending the repayment bonus for my loan. In the form letter it states that the T.H.E. Program was merely a gratuitous reduction but it is a contractual obligation. Northstar settled a similar suit in XXXX after it similarly suspended the program in XX/XX/XXXX under the justification of ongoing disruption in the global markets. That deal required the lender to honor the interest-lowering program for the remaining life of the loans.
