I submitted my 1st complaint to CFPB in XXXX, XXXX. The Northern Trust Chicago trust manager who replied ( XXXX XXXX ), I found out was no longer working at the bank in XXXX, when I sent an email to him and received a reply that his email was not valid. My subsequent calls to the bank transferred me to a line for bank employees ( as if I was an employee inquiring about benefits ), who would not tell me the name of the trust managers boss, nor transfer me to his boss, nor to the head of the bank. XXXX XXXX is who replied to my 1st complaint I submitted to you early this year, and you automatically closed my complaint because he replied ; I do not believe you investigated any of my complaint, nor his reply. In addition to my previous complaint, I want to add that I have two trusts at Northern Trust, one has been in my family for four generations. Northern is/was supposed to use that family trust to pay my medical expenses. Instead, it used my small trust ( created mainly from the sale of the home I grew up in since the XXXX ), and it often didnt make the monthly transfer, and when I asked why not, XXXX XXXX ignored me. I already reported in my first complaint that Northern was supposed to distribute my small trust to me ( per an IL Statute ) when it fell under $ XXXX in XXXX, but it did not, and it continued to use that smaller trust to make a small monthly transfer to me for expenses ( instead of using my larger family trust. Northern did not adjust the monthly transfer amount for inflation or cost of living increases, and as stated above, sometimes didnt make the transfer ( such as twice in XXXX ). I asked XXXX to increase the monthly transfer + $ XXXX because my health insurance increased {$600.00} in the previous few years. XXXX delayed for many months, and then refused to reimburse me ( from my trust ) for the price increase in the previous few years. And it played unprofessional games on me, making me call its branch in another city to verify the transfer, so I asked the amount and was verbally told that the monthly transfer stated on the screen was {$600.00} higher than the prior month, but when I checked my XXXX account online, the transferred amount was not {$600.00} higher. So electronic manipulation was done to misreport the amount. Several months later my XXXX account reported the transfer as {$600.00} higher, so obviously people are able to electronically manipulate bank transactions. I reported in my first complaint that Northern sued me as beneficiary in late XXXX, accusing me of harassing the bank & wanting me to transfer to a different bank, but it did not let me transfer to its XXXX branch in XXXX when I moved from XXXX to XXXX ( and the trust manager in XXXX suggested I could transfer to its XXXX branch ). My trust document gives me the power to transfer my trusts, but a trust attorney is needed to write the legal letters to transfer, and every trust attorney I could XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to work for me. I even contacted the State Bar Associations but was still given the run around by numerous attorneys, including an attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX referred me to in order to transfer ( see my 1st complaint filed 7 months ago ). Do you all think this is funny, to not let me transfer for 8 years, and to sue me for 2.5 years, ignore my lawsuit replies, withhold my small trust from me, stop making discretionary distributions to me, delay nine months to reimburse me from my trust for medical expenses, increase bank fees XXXX % in order to keep me cash poor for 4 years, so I couldnt afford much of anything? That is a breach of fiduciary duty. In the last year my large trust grew to $ XXXX, yet the amount of money the bank allowed me to receive from it declined by XXXX {$20000.00}. I had to use nay retirement account for expenses. I was not able to follow my doctors recommendations to live in a warmer climate, due to not having money to afford to travel to a warmer climate in winter since XXXX. My small trust had {$2000.00} in it more than a year ago. Northern chose to not invest that cash in its money market ( it publicized that it does ), and it distributed NONE of it to me in more than a year, and it continued to deduct bank trust management fees from it, including for several months after the manager disappeared in XX/XX/XXXX without any notice. That is blatant fraud. The CFPB apparently investigated NONE of my first complaint I submitted in XX/XX/XXXX. Will you investigate them now? Will you investigate this updated complaint? Why did you assume the reply from XXXX XXXX was valid? He DISAPPEARED from the bank in XXXX, without any notice. A new trust manager began several months later. Why has Northern Trust been allowed to withhold my money from me, sue me for XXXX years, increase its fees > $ XXXX, decrease the amount of my money it allows me to receive, use the wrong trust for my expenses, withhold several monthly transfers from me for my expenses and ignore me when I asked why I didnt receive several monthly transfers, electronically manipulate my XXXX bank online account to mid-report a transfer amount, blatantly violate its fiduciary duty to me, not adjust for inflation/cost of living increases/ etc., delay many months to reimburse me for eyeglasses, not advise me about trust tac s I paid that my trust should pay, etc., etc. why has it not allowed me to transfer to another bank in 8 years? If I had been allowed to transfer, Northern would have lost XXXX {$500000.00} of fees it deducted from my trusts since XXXX. Why is Nirthern allowed to keep my small trust that now has {$1300.00} cash in it, when IL Statute states that trusts are to be distributed to beneficiaries when they fall under {$100000.00}. Why is Northern allowed to deduct any management fees at all, when no trust officer was assigned to my trusts for several months this year? The annual trust management fees deducted from my trusts are larger than the US median annual income. Why are lawyers allowed to black ball me so I couldnt sue for fraud & to transfer? Illegal surveillance of ne has enabled the fraud. My brother lied and disparaged me to the banks lawyer, claiming I wasted my small trust, and XXXX XXXX gave him money from my trust in XXXX without my knowledge, which is blatant fraud. My small trust was mis-used by Northern to pay only some of my expenses, namely health insurance, therefore maintaining my large family trust, at my expenses. My brother/his kids inherit my family trust from me when I die, so Northern & my brother have been operating to maximize my large trust for my brother, while hurting me financially. Northern also paid {$50000.00} more of its FIRST lawsuit fees ( XXXX ) from MY trust than from my brothers trust XXXX which is a violation of the IL Statute about equal treatment of trust beneficiaries, and they both ignored my written complaints about that. Please actually read my two complaints. Please actually investigate my two complaints. This is blatant fraud & abuse, continued for 14 years. I want this fraud publicized. The banks lawsuit against me since XXXX was a scam. The judge muted me in zoom hearings and the other cases she heard in those sessions werent real lawsuits, and werent even reported on the XXXX XXXX website. I need my complaints investigated, not just blindly accepting a nonsense reply by Northern. Did Northern fire XXXX XXXX? Is Northerns ceo aware of my two complaints? Is it aware of its violation of two IL Statutes & its fiduciary duty to me? Why has it wanted to keep me cash poor? Why has it not made discretionary distributions to me for anything but eyeglasses in the last five years ( and delayed 6-9 months to reimburse me for them )? Why did it make me have a mortgage and auto loans for 14 years? Why did it choose to ignore my trust document by not paying my medical expenses from my large family trust? Why did it choose to give me 2 %, esp. in the last four years, when it can give up to 5 % per year, esp. considering the huge growth of the stock market. Why didnt it do anything to compensate me for my income loss due to its huge fee increase in XX/XX/XXXX. Does it think its funny? Is it punishing me for when it over-reported the dividend yields of all its proprietary funds in XXXX, including to brokerages, XXXX, & on its website? Why hurt me financially, especially the last 4 years? I worked in market research for top companies, I received a grad degree from XXXX University. My brother wanted me to work low-paying hourly retail sales jobs, rather than my career, including in the XXXX. My health issues have prevented me from working the last decade. Illegal surveillance has been used to commit electronic fraud, including manipulating my bank accounts, phones, car navigation system, etc. My attempts to report the fraud to the FBI and police were blocked. My large trust at Northern is XXXX. My two laptops were stolen in XXXX from my house ( the people who illegally surveilled me also break into my house repeatedly and steal my property ). Northerns law firm XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX required me in XXXX to provide it a list of all my lifetime gifts I received, despite knowing there was no reason to XXXX : inheritance tax. Since late XXXX, it was all stolen from my house, as well as other valuables and property I discussed or managed with my computer. My most valuable antiques were also ruined by movers in XXXX when I moved to XXXX, such as an XXXX century XXXX XXXX with tapestry carved mahogany settee that was my mothers prized possession. I was required to list my most valuable items before the move, then denied coverage of them afterward, and I was no longer allowed to work with the moving manager ( his sister was in my class in middle school & high school and in XXXX XXXX with me every year ), so after the move the moving co. no longer allowed me to work with XXXX in XXXX, IL, but with a XXXX in its XXXX XXXX XXXX ). XXXX should reimburse me from my $ XXXX trust for the theft of my property and the moving co. ruining my valuables when I moved, but not covering them. The thieves even stole my clothing. My brother stole my tax returns from my house in XXXX. When I typed lawsuit replies at the library after my 2 laptops were broken by trespassers of my house, my replies were ALTERED by the people surveilling me XXXX, namely that the banks legal fees included more than {$1000.00} for Jims requests to receive copies of MY trust statements. Northerns Orivate Passport Online reporting tool was manipulated the last four years so I couldnt access it m, or view my trust information. XXXX XXXX ignored me when I asked why {$1000.00} of trust income was not transferred to me, and why several monthly transfers werent transferred.

Northern Trust XXXX is trustee of an irrevocable trust I inherited from my mother after she died in XXXX, that she inherited from her parents. In XXXX XXXX Northern raised its trust management and advisory fees nearly +50 %. It deducts half its fees from my trust income, so its fee increase resulted in my trust income transferred to me each month declining approx. {$17000.00} per YEAR since XXXX XXXX. I am trustee remover so I should be able to transfer my trusts to another corporate trustee, and Northern suggested I transfer to its XXXX office when I moved from XXXX to XXXX in XXXX. But after delaying 6 months it told me I could not transfer there and lied and said I was rude on the phone to its XXXX branch. After its nearly 50 % fee increase I asked its XXXX branch if it could send me its brochure stating its fee increase for trusts. It refused. I have tried to transfer to many other banks since XXXX, but I have gotten the run around from both banks and lawyers for XXXX years. I also have a small trust, that IL Statute says should be distributed in full to the beneficiary when it falls under {$100000.00}, which occurred in mid XXXX. At that time, XXXX imposed on me an Agreement Letter stating it could distribute it to someone else intended it would not identify. I crossed off that clause & others & sent a signed copy to XXXX, who would not agree to my amendments to its legal maneuver, its Agreement Letter. I could find no atty who would help me. One XXXX atty who knew about Northerns first lawsuit against us told me Your brother is doing this to you. In late XXXX Northern sued me a second time, in XXXX XXXX Court, IL, claiming I abused them so they wanted me to approve their accountings and transfer, after not letting me transfer to its XXXX office after suggesting it to me. I replied to its lawsuit in XX/XX/XXXX, including pointing out that it didnt attach its Agreement Letter about my small trust to its lawsuit. Its attorney did not send me most court filings or hearing notices in XXXX, or in XXXX until XXXX, and in the last several months again stopped sending me court filings.etc. It has delayed for XXXX years. The IL judge ignored my lawsuit replies and my comments during zoom hearings. In XXXX my brother filed an emergency petition for conservatorship of me, misrepresenting me as not managing my finances ( my credit score is proof I handle my finances responsibly, his credit report shows he wastes money buying 9 cars in 11 years & financing all of them & paying them all off in a year or two ). In XXXX I learned that my father, who died in XXXX, had worked for the govt in an intelligence capacity. If I am being used by the govt, it needs to stop, and my money not used for it, while XXXX withheld my small trust in XXXX and {$50000.00} of my larger trust income. I submitted a complaint to the XXXX Atty Office but the site did not let me upload attachments. The office replied by email concluding it closed my complaint ( did nothing ). But I informed it I had not been sent Northerns court filings/etc. For my brothers conservatorship lawsuit, the CO judge assigned a XXXX XXXX XXXX for me, who has misrepresented me in court reports and covered up that Northern Trust decreased the amount of my trust income ( and discretionary distributions that are allowed ) transferred to me in the last three years ( {$50000.00} ) by increasing its fees hugely. The XXXX is a trust attorney. I learned from Northern Trusts first lawsuit in XXXX against me & my brother the beneficiaries after my mom died, that trust attorneys do not do anything adverse to banks. My large trust has grown by $ XXXX since I inherited it, and by {$600000.00} recently, yet Northern has decreased the amount of money I have received from my trusts in the last three years- {$50000.00} less because it has gone to pay its fees, and it also stopped making discretionary distributions. It has dribbled out my small trust ( created mainly from the sale of the home I grew up in ) and only increased the monthly amount given to me a few times despite knowing my health insurance increased XXXX $ XXXX several years earlier. My brother ( or his kids ) inherits my trusts when I die because I have no children. His children will receive the irrevocable trust rather than it remain in trust under a corporate trustee. My brother submitted a false, damaging report about me to authorities in XXXX, & requested a wellness check by police without even trying to contact me first, and I was held against my will at a mental institution for 8 days and nights and not given my clothes or eyeglasses for 3 days, nor my back pillow or neck roll I use up sleep upright in order to prevent my irregular heartbeat and severe migraines. I was required to take XXXX for XXXX although it is known to induce XXXX and the young unprofessional psychiatrist didnt even ask my medical history ( its contraindicated w/ cerebrovascular events ). I was also taken from my home by police, without any warrant, and I was on a bath towel so when the officer tricked me to open my door to get a package on my step, he handcuffed me do I could no longer hold onto my towel and was therefore XXXX, in front of children on their bikes. I was taken handcuffed to an Urgent Care Facility where I was forced an unidentified injection and then my blood was taken for a drug test and I was held handcuffed until midnight. I learned more than a year later ( despite asking an atty who charged {$5000.00}, to get the report but didnt ), that I was injected w/ a controlled substance that I was then tested for. I was set up. He is suing to be my conservator, using misinformation to do it. I informed the XXXX judge since XX/XX/XXXX that I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to transfer, because my mom had been their trust client. Lawyers have refused to help me. It requires a lawyer to write the legal letters to initiate the transfer, and then the transfer occurs six months later. Ten months have elapsed since I first contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX. Two attorneys it referred me to delayed several months and would not help me. Another bank I contacted in XX/XX/XXXX gave. E the runaround. If the XXXX judge had done her job correctly, I could have been a trust client at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, or another bank by XXXX. Guess who pays for the lawsuits? My trust. And the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who is a trust attorney? My trust. Northerns atty charged {$90000.00} lawsuit fees as of a few months ago, {$55000.00} of which were for compiling my trust accountings ( including typos from hand-typing them, which they didnt even need to do, they just needed to verify them ). All of this is fraud, and abuse. The XXXX XXXX XXXX keeps delaying the bank lawsuit to first resolve XXXX conservatorship lawsuit. I was allowed to hire an attorney to contest that in XX/XX/XXXX. She helped cover up that Northern Trusts atty hadnt sent me court filings or hearing notices, and she refused to help me transfer to XXXX XXXX XXXX, and wanted a financial manager named XXXX. Today my brother informed the IL court that XXXX XXXX XXXX will not accept my trusts unless I have a conservator, the first time I heard of that, since I first contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX last XXXX and sent them all the information they requested, including last XXXX. In XXXX I was told XXXX XXXX XXXX trust fees were a flat {$50000.00} per year. In XXXX I was told they are higher than Northerns fees. Can banks arbitrarily raise their trust management and advisory fees like this? I want to know if national banks such as Northern Trust can arbitrarily increase their fees 50 % in XX/XX/XXXX, totaling >+ {$20000.00} per year? The trust document states it can sue to protect the trust, but suing me more than two years and delaying it intentionally while withholding XXXX {$50000.00} of my money from me, is fraudulent. As is not sending me court filings and hearing notices throughout the majority of its lawsuit. Northern has also treated me hostily by not selling XXXX XXXX when I requested it in XXXX, and by giving money from my trust to my brother in XXXX simply because he requested it and manipulated the system in order to detain me and give the false appearance I am mentally ill. The bank denied my smaller distribution request to maintain my home four months later. It also delayed three years in a row to reimburse me from my trust for eyeglasses, from four to nine months, while my brother browbeat me that eyeglasses are not a medical expense. I also tried reporting bank fraud to the fbi for a manipulated a bill pay to XXXX XXXX in XXXX, that overpaid my bill by {$3000.00} and didnt send me the standard email confirmation for the bill pay. My report using the fbi link in its main page for cyber crime was blocked and my subsequent phone calls ignored. It required me to go to the bank where more than an hour of my time was wasted by bankers doing nothing, and then calling police who told me transfer to your brothers bank and barred me from returning to that branch again. My irrevocable trust is XXXX. I will follow up separately with my other trust number and lawsuit information. There is a lot more fraud and abusive treatment I have not reported here, including manipulation of the XXXX XXXX XXXX website for my case, the judge hearing zoom cases not reported on that website, and the judge muted me when I tried to speak.

There is no option for financial trusts or bank lawsuits against clients, I had filed XXXX complaints to CFPB about Northern Trusts lawsuit filed in XXXX, wanting me to transfer trustees, but I havent been allowed to transfer, even to its XXXX office when I moved from XXXX to XXXX in XXXX. This is a big joke to XXXX, as it continues its lawsuit against me since XXXX & uses my trust to pay its legal fees. Northerns atty XXXX hasnt sent me most lawsuit filings since XXXX, including about a Trial/ Discovery/ Interrogatories stated for its lawsuit on the XXXX XXXX XXXX IL XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Legal Malpractice ). The trust manager replied in XXXX to my previous complaints, w/incorrect info ( aka lies ). Then he disappeared, his email no longer worked. I have not been allowed to transfer trustees since I 1st tried to in XXXX, despite the trust instrument giving me that power. I havent been allowed a trust atty, to advise me about my trust that is governed by trust laws, nor for Northerns lawsuit since XXXX. Electronic surveillance of me is used ( abused ) to interfere w/ any lawyer I contact, incl. the XXXX Associations. Northern is allowed to sue to protect the trust but this is its XXXX lawsuit since XXXX, & it uses my trust to pay its legal fees ( yet doesnt send me hearing notices or court filing ), so the almost XXXX long lawsuit is wasting my money, is not in my best interest ( breach of fiduciary duty to me ), & is a farse. Northern claims it wants to resign & wants me to transfer trustees. It could have facilitated me transferring in XXXX when I first tried to. It could resign w/o suing me. It could help me get a trust atty to facilitate transferring my trust. Instead it wants to keep deducting its > $ XXXX annual fees from my trust. The XXXX XXXX XXXX website stated in XX/XX/XXXX for Northerns lawsuit, a Trial, Discovery, & Interrogatories due, but I havent received anything about them. XXXX lied in his XXXX reply that I was sent all hearing notices & court filings. He also lied about serving me the lawsuit. Its legal malpractice to withhold the lawsuit filings from me, the key defendant. In XXXX my small trust fell < $ XXXX. It does not make sense to maintain trusts < $ XXXX, & an IL statute states trusts < $ XXXX shall be distributed to beneficiary, but Northern used a legal letter to avoid distributing it to me. It has had ~ $ XXXX in it the last few years, but Instead of distributing it to me, it deducted $ XXXX from it for fiduciary income tax preparation, which should not have been done to a $ XXXX trust from which I have not benefitted from in several years. This is NOT in my best interest. Its my brother micro-managing my trusts w/ Northern for his monetary gain, & Northerns. It was done to maximize my large XXXX trust that my brother will inherit from me when I die w/o kids ( my mom & aunt were given the appointive ability to give their trusts to anyone they chose ). My small trust was also used inappropriately since XXXX to pay my health insurance ( & was skipped several months ), rather than my large family trust that is for medical expenses. This also maintained my large trust, & in XXXX Northern increased its trust fees XXXX % ( stated in previous complaints ) so by maintaining my large trust, it maximizes its fees, which were > $ XXXX the last few years, and it wasted my small trust instead ( to keep me poor ), while making sure I was kept cash poor each month. Northern used my small trust to transfer a monthly amount to me for fixed expenses instead of the XXXX generation trust. I needed an IL XXXX attorney to Advocate for me since XXXX, & to interpret Northerns XXXX Agreement letter it used to not distribute my trust & it didnt include a copy of it in its lawsuit, to cover up its manipulative legal maneuver ( see my previous complaints ) but I havent been allowed to hire any IL atty, so the abuse of my trusts continue, as well as Northerns wasteful lawsuit. So I told the judge in a XX/XX/XXXX hearing that I hadnt been allowed an atty, & my brother lied last year to me that he hired XXXX for me, but its his atty, who wont communicate with me. An IL trust atty who knew about Northerns XXXX lawsuit in XXXX told me my brother was doing this to me. Its become clear that XXXX surveillance of me was used to prevent me from hiring any atty and transferring trustees, because that would mean the end of Northerns XXXX lawsuit. Also, Northern sent me a manipulative & misleading survey last year, that forced me to choose from limited options, including the % of my money I planned to donate when I die, vs. the % to go to my brother. It sent it again this year, so I told the trust manager it was manipulative & misleading, & received no reply. And, my brother misled me in XXXX that a bank in XXXX XXXX was willing to accept my trust, at the same time Northern sent me the trust investment objective signature form. So I didnt change it from Max Growth to allow me more income, because XXXX misled me. Max Growth benefits XXXX, not me. I asked XX/XX/XXXX via email to change the objective now to Max Income, & anticipate Northern will delay doing so, and it my brother wont allow it ( but he is not my conservator nor has power over my trusts ). Also, the investment XXXX XXXX asked me in XXXX to approve stock sales to make payments, but wouldnt define the payments or amounts. So my brother sent me atty invoices for his lawsuit against me, to put me under a conservatorship, that he filed in XX/XX/XXXX as an emergency ; they included year-old fees for my CO atty who has not represented my wishes. Northern took directions from XXXX re : my trust, to use my money to pay his lawsuit expenses. If not for his lawsuit he filed, the lawyer fees wouldnt have been incurred. He was granted Special Conservator power to Move my financial trust to another trustee in XXXX, but any trustee I contact, he uses 24/7 surveillance of me to interfere & tell the potential trustee lies about me, so they then decide I have to be placed in a conservatorship in order for them to accept my trust ( that Northern deducts > $ XXXX fees from each year ). This is sleezy abuse of the courts & lawsuits to take control of my money & steal it, which has gone on since XXXX. When XXXX filed his lawsuit against me XX/XX/XXXX, my Northern statements reported it did not transfer the monthly {$3100.00} to me from my small trust for my fixed expenses, namely health insurance for XXXX months after he filed his lawsuit ( to keep me poor ), and didnt transfer them later. And those payments should have been from my large family trust instead. Northerns previous reply to my complaints did not address the fact it gave money from my trust to XXXX simply because he asked for it in XXXX without my approval, & then refused to give me a smaller amount XXXX months later. XXXX reportedly used my trust money to hire an electrician, but the work done was shoddy/ overcharged. XXXX also reported incorrectly ( lied ) in his reply that my trust had not paid legal expenses for the lawsuits. It has. It paid attorneys XXXX & XXXX since XXXX. These crooks are so high on their power, they enjoy telling lies. XXXX is using Northerns lawsuit to gain control of me & my XXXX he arranged only XXXX call w/ a potential trustee in XXXX, then said that bank required me to have a conservator. He would not reschedule a call w/ a bank he identified in XXXX XXXX XXXX when I wasnt available w/ little prior notice. Hes had XXXX months to transfer my trust w/ his Special Conservator Power granted to him in XXXX to move my trust. Northern has treated him since XXXX as if he was in charge of my trust, but the trust instrument indicates no such power over my trust, so why does Northern treat him this way? It already used my trust yo pay $ XXXX more of its legal fees during its XXXX lawsuit, than it did from my brothers, violating tbe Ststite about XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX paid off my mortgage, auto loan, & XXXX last year, it did not compensate me for my lost trust income the last several years, from raising its fees & choosing to waste my small trust to maintain the large trust to maximize Northerns fees. XXXX misled me that my trust would reimburse me for a new car a few years ago, but then refused to, so I paid thousands for a car my brother wanted me to buy, but I didnt want it. Then my bank accounts were manipulated, double-paying the loan payments, to drain my cash. After trust manager XXXX disappeared last year ( XXXX ), trust management fees were still deducted when no trust XXXX was in place. The only time I received a formal trust performance review was in XXXX, when P.Hannigan met me near my office to present it to me. In XXXX a review arrived in the mail in an unsealed envelope, but the font was too tiny to even read, and Northern never mentioned it. Northern needs to allow me to transfer trustees, resign, stop using surveillance of me, stop treating XXXX as if he is in charge of my trust, and stop using surveillance of me, so after I pay taxes, it then reports on my statements that it paid my trust income taxes. My phone is XXXX.

What Happened : My concern and problem with my bank, revolves around my checking account and the line of credit attached to it. My current, checking account has an existing line of credit for {$1000.00} dollars, which is both a personal and business checking, in XXXX account. I 've had this bank account since XX/XX/XXXX and the line of credit on this account since XX/XX/XXXX. What is my concern? Two-fold : First my bank poaches my account. How does the bank do that? My original line of credit was set up so that I will always receive my monthly bank payment allotment ( comes from the department of Treasury for a pension payment ) on the day of the month, before the payment for the bank fees are due. No matter how many times in the past I tried to change the set-up so the dates would align in my favor thus avoiding overdraft fees, it never worked that way. My allotment is like clock work, it always arrives on the XXXX day of the month via ACH, unless there is a holiday, or the month ends on a weekend. In which case my funds credit a day prior. The regular, reoccurring, direct deposit payment always comes on or before the XXXX of every month, and sometimes sooner, but never later. But the bank does not always credit when they receive my direct deposit thus resulting in small problems with my account. My original use of the line of credit meant that if I had an overage the bank would cover it until my incoming deposit would offset the cost. Thus not charging me for an overdraft, or other banking errors, or fees. But the bank finds ways around that either by taking maintenance payments early or holding up my deposit an extra day. Even though I have had this account for a very long time ( since XX/XX/XXXX ) the bank takes advantage of me and poaches my account. My bank waits to collect the amount for my account maintenance fees ( usually about {$20.00} ) until a day before the direct deposit, not a day after as I had originally set it up. The bank is not open on Sunday or Saturday but they will balance a maintenance payment against my account on a Sunday if the payment arrives on Monday. Even if I wanted to correct the problem I ca n't since the bank is closed and with a payment already scheduled it resolves itself. Second problem with this besides the costs to me, is the bank uses the overages to show a pattern that they now say is shutting down my line of credit. What my bank is doing is over-drafting my bank account by collecting a maintenance fee within 24 hours of my incoming direct deposit and even if I 'm only XXXX cents overdrawn and have a pending deposit to offset it, they collect the overdraft fees 1st. I am calling this " poaching '' since my bank does this deliberately by aligning payments, fees and overages to happen before the direct deposit although they often happen within a day of each other. Many years ago to stop my bank from taking advantage of me in this way I called and spoke to my banker. He told me the bank is not allowed to collect maintenance fees that will overdraft my account. He said that if a maintenance fee is due when funds come into the account it covers that cost ( maintenance fee ) thus always balancing itself, before an overdraft. But many years go by and the bank keeps taking the maintenance fees and over-drafting my account by a few dollars, or less, for a {$20.00} payment that is n't even over due more than 24 hours. And they do it when the bank is closed. The bank seems to know my direct deposit is coming so they collect the payment first and if there is a discrepancy of even a few cents they charge me an overdraft up to {$45.00}. Because this all happens within a day or so, the transactions happen without any time opportunity for me to correct anything to avoid this problem. Originally, I set-it up so my direct deposit would always come first, before the bank fees are balanced against the account to avoid this problem.

Northern Trust submitted a response to my original complaint on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. However, their response did not address the primary issues, and in addition, new issues have emerged. 1. The checking account in question ( # XXXX ) was held jointly by my Mother and I. This was in affect beginning on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. 2. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX my XXXX sisters were made additional Durable Powers of Attorney on the checking account. Although an owner of the Account, I was never informed of this action. Adding Durable Powers of Attorney without informing me as an account owner amplifies the unprofessional and unethical atmosphere employed by Northern Trust. 3. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX large sums of money were transferred from this account to an unknown account without the knowledge of all account owners. These transfers continued through XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, per the letter response from Northern Trust. At no time was I informed of these transactions, nor was my permission obtained. Indeed, over {$10000.00} of the money that was transferred out of the account without my permission was money I had deposited into the account to make sure there was sufficient funds in the account to cover the payment for my Mother 's health care! 4. The secrecy and stealth employed by Northern Trust, if not illegal, is at the very least unprofessional and unethical as its purpose was to deceive and mislead a joint holder of this account. 5. The statement by Northern Trust that " ... no unauthorized transactions have occurred and no funds were stolen '' appears to be carefully worded to hide its complicity. 6. But the most insidious statement in the Northern Trust response was in reference to my assertions that the revocation of my Durable Power of Attorney was rooted in fraud. On or about the weekend of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, my sister XXXX told my Mother that I had used my Durable Power of Attorney to steal {$60000.00} from the checking account. This claim is totally untrue and fabricated, yet it was then supported by an employee of Northern Trust. My sister then takes my Mother to her attorney to have my Durable Power of Attorney revoked. The attorney then calls a representative of Northern Trust and is told by Northern Trust that I did in fact take {$60000.00} from the checking account. We have this statement from the attorney. Northern Trust 's assertion that they were closed on this weekend is a feeble attempt to avoid answering the question directly. After my Mother passed on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, it was later confirmed by Mom 's attorney that the incident was just a misunderstanding. Conspiracy and fraud can not be characterized as a misunderstanding. Once again, Northern Trust has proven itself to be at the very least unprofessional and unethical. My Mother, who at the time of this incident could not remember things from one day to the next, and sometimes from one conversation to the next, died prematurely because she was duped into thinking that her family had abandoned her and stolen her money. This incident was a catalyst in her premature death. 7. Most recently the issues with Northern Trust involve the timing of the distribution of the estate and the costs charged by Northern Trust. My sisters both received their initial distributions in XXXX. My distribution was delayed until XXXX. The Northern Trust representative was extremely unprofessional. 8. After the transfer of securities from Northern Trust to my broker, I received a statement from Northern Trust for XXXX showing {$200.00} still in the account, even though I specifically asked for it all to be transferred, and even though the account was less than a month old. In XXXX, I received a statement showing that Northern Trust withdrew {$160.00} from my account and in XXXX took the rest. No explanation was ever offered to me by Northern Trust. Once again, Northern Trust has proven itself to be unethical. ( A shortened version ; see attachment ).

Northern Trust Bank has been reporting me as nit paying my mortgage for 11 months XXXX XXXX. I payed my mortgage on time. In XXXX of XXXX Northern Trusts employee XXXX XXXX informed me that my line of credit was up and not being resigned my ex husband. I made arrangements with Mr XXXX to give me an extra 8 to 10 months to sell my house which I put up immediately on the market. During this time a fake buyer was sent to me signed a contract destroyed my house in an inspection ( 10 different inspection at the same time ), now this was a fake inspection and I do have the proof, they damaged my house they never qualified and this heals me up for four months, then I had a terrible back up do to a pipe break and my house was flooded with XXXX! This was an insurance nightmare. Florida XXXX XXXX investigated me for ten months. I had already sold the house for {$000.00} profit {$4000.00} not XXXX but close after 34 years of paying on time every month 2 mortgage not one! I had a normal closing where all realtors fees had been payed by me! And my attorney too! And any closing costs. This doesnt happen when you are foreclosed on! Or in foreclosure! I had a credit score of over 800 as high as XXXX Within the year the Northern started tagging me as delinquent! I wouldnt have know about it if it wasnt for XXXX letting me know my score when down hundreds of points and I had my payments on automatic withdrawal. The closing or my ex husband could have stopped the pay auto but as soon as the bank let me know I had made my payments monthly at my local branch where they know me by name. I paid off the mortgage in full had a full closing Northern Trust turned this over to a local attorney, I told him ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), this man opened 3 different foreclosure cases at the same time!!! Three open foreclosures against me on the same day on the same property ( both of these men are involved with someone I know that is trying to annihilate me ). I had a fully executed contract with a large down payment!! I have just closed the third open foreclosure this month XXXX XXXX! Last XX/XX/XXXX I had to hire a lawyer to close the 2nd foreclosure thats been open in the court records to ruin my name even farther if that is possible. I have another mortgage fraud problem that has to do with XXXX XXXX. I need help please I do not want access to my credit by all the mortgage companies I inquiring even though Ive not been looking for a mortgage. All insurance companies being able to go into my info! I have never committed insurance fraud but Ive been being almost pursued by XXXX XXXX ( what this guy did can not be legal ), all these kinds of things raise your rates and what kind of rate you are given for health insurance which is way to high for me to have {$810.00} a month for medigap coverage! Thats just not right. I had to turn my lease in 17 months early ( my XXXX ), my car insurance went from XXXX year to being cancelled for bad info bring out into my fill and XXXX reports had all the changes to my records.

Northern Trust has prevented me from accessing my financial information and has not responded to requests on my behalf to access such information. I can not complete my XXXX application without my financial information, information that Northern Trust is withholding. I am running out of funds and must complete my XXXX application as assign as possible. In particular, my son has the power of attorney for my account at Northern Trust bank in XXXX where I reside. He is assisting me in preparing a XXXX application and requires copies of my Northern Trust bank statements. I do not remember the answers to my security questions - I am XXXX XXXX XXXX. On-line access to my account is locked. My son has contacted Northern Trust several times and they do not respond. He has provided copies of his power of attorney and identification. My son made several calls to Northern Trust. He was told they would call back but they do not do so. On XX/XX/XXXX my son wrote to Northern Trust banking services : Attached please find a notarized General Power of Attorney from XXXX ( prepared by attorney xxxx ) and a Resignation as Power Attorney. In the General Power of Attorney my sister, xxxx, is appointed as agent ; in paragraph 8, I am appointed successor agent. Ive attached a notarized Resignation as Power of Attorney in which XXXX resigns and in which I am named as successor in accordance with paragraph 8 of the General Power of Attorney. On behalf of XXXX, account no. xxxxx, I am requesting access to the statements in this account. I would like continuing access as I manage my mothers affairs on her behalf. Ive attached a copy of the drivers license to establish my identity. On XX/XX/XXXX my son again wrote to Northern Trust banking services : My mother is XXXX. She is XXXX XXXX XXXX and infirm. I am following up on my email below. It is essential that I have immediate access to my mothers account to get copies of her statements for her XXXX application. Ive been locked out of online access to her account user name xxxx - because shes forgotten the answers to her security questions, at XXXX she has memory issues. Ive again attached the POA that gives me authority to handle her financial matters. I have been trying to get this access for several days through several calls with a promise of a call back that has never come. Please let me know if anything else is required. My mother is running out of funds as you can see from her balance, and we must complete her XXXX application now. I am surprised that it is so difficult to get service from one of the largest banks in the US. I expect some response this week, XX/XX/XXXX notwithstanding. My next action will be to hire an attorney to resolve this issue through XXXX XXXX XXXX office and take the matter up with the various Federal and State of Illinois consumer protection agencies that oversee the bank. xxxxx is a long-standing customer of the bank and it shouldnt have to come to this.

There are serious problems customers face accessing their online information at Northern Trust. Twice this year, I was locked out despite not changing my UserID or Password. Each time, the bank 's online reset password did not work. Each time I called customer service and was met with great difficulties. The bank sends a temporary password of between 40-50 characters, which can not be copied and pasted, but must be manually written down and then typed. The first time it took multiple tries with customer service with ever new temporary passwords. The whole process took about 30 minutes. More recently, on or about XX/XX/XXXX, again - for no reason - I was locked out of my account and was blocked from resetting my password. Again I called customer service. Spoke with female XXXX XXXX who sent me new 40-50 temporary passwords - none of which worked. I asked her to reset my password, but she refused. I asked for a supervisor. After a lengthy wait, XXXX XXXX came on and claimed to be a supervisor. But, in fact, she is a front-line representative answering initial calls. Again, the temporary passwords did not work. I complained about the overly lengthy passwords. She responded that many other investors have the same problem, but could not provide to me a shorter and working password. She said that she could not help me, that I must keep trying with 40-50 characters. Then, in a setup, she asked me which browser I use. I responded XXXX XXXX. She lied by saying that XXXX XXXX is not compatible with XXXX 's system. I responded that in previous years I successfully used XXXX XXXX without being locked out. She had no answer. After about a full hour I gave up - not being able to access my account online. Thus, I called Northern Trust, XXXX 's servicing bank. I tried to reach XXXX XXXX, CEO. I was put into the voicemail of XXXX XXXX. I left a message describing the horror of Northern Trust 's anti-consumerr system. Subsequently, XXXX XXXX called me saying that the was the Vice President in charge of the account processing. He claimed to be horrified that 40-50 character passwords were being sent to investors. He claimed not to know this. He got back to me on XX/XX/XXXX and said that the bank 's contractor was reducing the passwords to 8 characters. He said someone would call me. XXXX XXXX eventually called me, but she was once again a total disaster. These new temporary passwords did not work either. She said that the only thing to do was to keep sending me temporary passwords, that no one else do anything to give me access to my account. After more failed efforts, I stopped and called XXXX back to report the situation. He did not have the courtesy or decency to return my call. So, I can not go online to do anything which the bank will not allow me to do via telephone. Northern Trust and its CEO XXXX XXXX have no interest in the problems they have created for its customers. The bank should be fined and XXXX should resign.

Northern Trust Bank incorrectly desposited a trust into my XXXX IRA and is unwilling to help remedy the problem. Approximately 1 year ago ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I received shares from a XXXX in the amount of approximately {$500000.00}. I was contacted by Northern Trust Bank ( NTB ) to process the transfer. I was asked if I had an account elsewhere without specification for type. I provided the account number for a XXXX XXXX Account- which was a XXXX IRA. NTB then deposited the shares into that XXXX IRA. I had no knowledge that I needed to create a different account type or that something incorrect occurred. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, I went into XXXX to begin the process to speak with a financial planner to start learning what to do with the funds. I was informed at that time that the money was incorrectly send to the XXXX IRA and it needed to be fixed. I contacted NTB to ask for support. Despite many attempts and many emails/calls to different people at NTB, they refused to help. In one email the response was, " Please work with your company to get this matter resolve as your mistake has nothing to do with Northern Trust ''. I disagree that it has nothing to do with NTB and that it was my mistake. NTB was a fiduciary advisor to the trusts and I believe, if they were working directly with me to make sure the funds were distributed correctly, which is their responsibility and for which they have expertise, they should have explained exactly which type of account I should open, they should have verified the account information to see that the one I provided was a XXXX and then provided instruction on next steps. If they would have directed me to open a brokerage account, I would have done so. XXXX have been going above and beyond to try to help remedy the situation. In an attempt to fix the error, XXXX attempted to return the funds to NTB to again receive them into the appropriate accounts. NTB declined some, but accepted some. Currently, there are approximately 600 shares in a " holding account '' that I can not access and that no one can seem to find, and the remainder are still in my XXXX IRA. I have spent countless hours on the phone with XXXX and XXXX ( where the holding account lives ) in an effort to get the approximately 600 shares back. I have been unsuccessful to date. I would like to understand why NTB did not verify the account details to ensure the shares were going to an acceptable place, why they did not specify the account type needed, and why they are not willing to help remedy the situation when it was their fiduciary duty to ensure the funds were transferred correctly.

I have opened an International Bank account with " Northern Trust Financial Private Bank, Branch in India ( Account No. XXXX ) as I needed to receive funds from a USA based Company against the products supplied by me/my company. It was fine I have opened the bank account and thereafter the Bank insisted me to pay the following fee, towards transfer of funds from the account to my local bank in India : - i ) For opening the Bank account I paid $ XXXX XXXX ) For want of RTN Code I paid XXXX XXXX XXXX ) for want of Conversion I paid XXXX XXXXXXXX TOTAL I paid $ XXXX XXXX paid all the amount {$18000.00} equal to Indian Rupees XXXX LAKHS XXXX XXXX XXXX only to have access to transfer the funds from my this account to the local bank account in India. But now again I have been asked by the Bank to pay a fee of {$3500.00} so that I will be provided with COT Code to transfer funds. As it can be seen above, I have already spent around XXXX LAKHS only for the sake of getting permissions to transfer my funds to my own account in India and NOW I DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO PAY {$3500.00} for the same purpose for which I already have paid almost XXXX LAKH INDIAN RUPEES. Hence, having sufficient balance in my newly opened International Bank account, as sole owner of the Bank account XXXX in the International Bank , I authorized the Bank to deduct the Local Bank Transfer Charges of {$3500.00} from my bank account and I requested them to provide me the COT Code so that I can make Local bank Transfer. But the Bank did not allow me and they are repeatedly insisting me to deposit {$3500.00} to get the COT Code, whereas I am expressing to them my inability to arrange the amount as I have already expended XXXX LAKH RUPEES and also I kept submitting that I have sufficient balance in the said International Bank account. Till date i.e even after elapse of more than one month from the date of opening the account I have not been provided access to my own account and they are every time asking me to deposit huge amounts to get an access to my own account. So far I have for this purpose paid to the bank {$18000.00} USD equal to Indian Rupees XXXX Lakhs and even then the Bank is not satisfied and still they are demanding for more money to be paid to allow me to access my own account. I have also requested the same through emails to the Bank for help but they are not responding. Please enquire into this and do the justice to me whether this much amount shall be the charge that any bank impose on any customer to get access to own accounts. Thanks and regards

Northern trust of XXXX XXXX representatives habitually fail to respond to letters, certified or otherwise, about concerns with open issues in relation to my father, XXXX XXXX XXXX 's estate, turned over to Northern Trust of XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. An E-Mail was sent to Northern Trust headquarters in XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, asking if there would be someone who would be willing to discuss my concerns before a complaint goes public with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the only response to which was an acknowledgement of inquiry, copy attached. There has been no response to a certified letter, addressed to the executor of my father 's estate at Northern Trust of XXXX XXXX, a copy of which would be attached, again documenting the open issues with the estate, as well requesting specific documentation required to perform an accurate accounting of my father 's estate. Consultation with several Florida estate attorneys resulted in complete assurance that as a beneficiary of the estate I have the full legal right to such documentation. Are you aware of any national investigative journalists who are, or might be interested in, investigating estate management companies such as Northern Trust? The idea that so much effort must be applied to simply request Northern Trust of XXXX XXXX to perform according to their legal responsibility would be oppressively offensive. My father who was an estate lawyer all his life must be rolling over in his grave after surrendering authority over his assets to Northern Trust of XXXX XXXX. The transfer documents for the sale and distribution of my father 's portfolio would have taken me less than a week to process. The sale of his condo could have been easily handled by a real estate agent. In fact the condo was sold to the only person who ever showed interest in the condo for {$60000.00} below appraisal value, without ever being publicly listed. That this matter drags on for sixth years would be an abomination.

My sister, XXXX, and I have trusts at Northern Trust. There was originally only one trust, which was then split up. Per XXXX XXXX, the former Trustee, the trusts were split into exact equal parts with one portfolio manager investing them the same way. This was confirmed by the fact we both received nearly the exact distribution each month for the past two years. The distributions are automated. My sister receives her distribution on the XXXX of the month and I receive mine on the XXXX of the month. In XX/XX/XXXX, my sister received her distribution of approximately {$3000.00} ; however, I received nothing at all on XX/XX/XXXX. I emailed XXXX XXXX, the current trustee on XX/XX/XXXX and asked what happened to my monthly distribution. He stated my distributions had been stopped in XXXX, even though my sister 's distributions remained in active status. He then went ahead and manually sent me my XXXX distribution. I assumed he would correct the error and turn my distributions back on. In fact, he did nothing. My sister received her automated XXXX distribution in the amount of {$11000.00}! You can confirm this with her by emailing XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX. I received nothing at all on XX/XX/XXXX. Again I emailed XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. He told me my distributions remained turned off but I was due {$2000.00}! He then manually sent me that amount of {$2000.00}. He refused to explain why there was a discrepancy of {$9000.00} between what my sister had received and what I had received. I believe this was a deliberate and maliciously motivated cheating me out of {$9000.00}. I had filed a complaint with you previously against Northern Trust and this was a retaliatory action to cheat me out of a substantial sum of money. There is no other explanation for such a huge disparity in what my sister and I received for the XX/XX/XXXX distribution, and I want this investigated.

On XX/XX/XXXX this letter was sent by E-Mail to a Vice President of Northern Trust XXXX with whom there has been abundant E-Mail communications. There has been no response. Response to this request would be time critical, as Northern Trust would be in the process of preparing paperwork to be signed to close this estate. Upon my receipt of the paperwork to close the estate, there would be by law thirty days to agree or disagree to closure. I can not agree to closure until the requested documents mentioned in my XX/XX/XXXX E-mail have been provided for my review. For reference there have been three, now four, CFPB complaints regarding request for documentation of charges to the estate. The latest was XXXX-XXXX. Letter : XX/XX/XXXX Due to water damage in XXXX to my dwelling I still do not have access to all the documents pertaining to my fathers estate which are still packed away in boxes. Today there was review of the monthly account statements for the past several months. There are two documents which must be received and reviewed before I will sign the pending estate closure agreement. 1. On the XX/XX/XXXX monthly account statement there would be a charge to the estate of {$6200.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Please forward all correspondence and documentation regarding this charge. 2. On the XX/XX/XXXX monthly account statement there would be payment to the estate lawyer, which would be contradictory to a statement in a letter from a Senior Vice President that Norther Trust would have no further involvement with this estate lawyer. This brings into question the statement from this Senior Vice President by letter that if I agree to close the estate uncontested, the estate would not be charged?

In XXXX XXXX 2017, I submitted online a bill pay to an individual for {$3500.00} via my account with XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ; the check was issued on X/XX/2017 by Northern Trust. After the payee received the check & attempted to deposit {$3500.00} to her own bank account, her bank/credit union however could n't deposit the funds because of " Return Reason - Refer to Maker '' dated on XXXX XXXX, 2017. I opened a case with XXXX via phone call. I then received a call on X/X/2017 from the corporate office telling me that the check was cleared & issued as submitted ; later on the same date, I emailed XXXX the photo/file of the returned check : refer to maker that I received from the payee 's bank. On X/X/2017, I called XXXX & Northern Trust to find out why my payment to the payee was returned or stated 'refer to maker ', I was simply informed by agents at XXXX & Northern Trust that the check on X/XX/2017 was issued and I 'll receive a copy in the mail in a few days. I stated that we all know that the check was cleared on X/XX/2017 after my bill pay request, but both XXXX & Northern Trust did n't answer my question as to why the check was n't cleared by the payee 's bank returned nor to further investigate as to why the check was returned -refer to maker. For whatever the reason, the check is not good ; therefore, I 'd appreciate a sincere effort from both XXXX & Northern Trust to look into & resolve the matter. Should the old/bad check need to be voided and another check to be issued, please expedite the process as my payment to the the payee was way past due.

Checking account called " Demand Notes '' by " XXXX XXXX '' XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX MI XXXX and their " paying agent '' Northern Trust XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX IL XXXX. XXXX XXXX notified me in XX/XX/XXXX that two of my checking accounts would be closed by XXXX, and any remaining balance would be sent by check after that date. I received a check for one account, in the correct amount. The second check I never received. I called by phone, spoke to an Ally representative in XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that Northern Trust Co responsible for distributing the checks had sent many checks that were " lost '' in the mail. From what I could gather, hundreds if not thousands, of postal checks went missing under NTC 's care. I thought it would be a simple matter for them to reissue me a check, and put a stop on the " lost '' one, but they refused and told me I had to complete an affidavit, get it notarized and mail it, and then they can issue a replacement check. It would cost me about 1 hour of work, and {$20.00} to pay a notary public, plus postage, just to get this payment that is due. What is bad about this is NTC and XXXX is doing this to possible thousands of people. It seems to me really poor behavior, if not outright illegal and non-compliant to regulation, for XXXX and NTC to behave this way against so many customers, many of who will sustain a loss. Please investigate how many people had to pay to get their money back from XXXX and NTC. I can provide further info.

I filed a complaint previously that was closed, this information is new and another complaint needs to be opened to handle this, it collaborates my issues with Northern Trust. The original complaint # XXXX, had 2 issues, one was the loan refi, which is what I am creating this new complaint. The other was posting issues and inconsistencies that have gone unanswered for years, for which the Company answered ... without any explanation that " We believe we have addressed his concerns ''. As to the refi, the nature of this extended complaint surrounds Northern Trust sent me a package for me to fill out to see if I would qualify and refinance the second mortgage. I took the package to my accountant, which has been preparing my tax returns for XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX for a year or so. I have not previously given my taxes to the accountant because of the initial analysis of how much taxes I would have to pay because of 1099 's. When meeting with the accountant he told me that one of those 1099 was from Northern Trust, for the first time I was explained it was that the bank wrote off the loan in question in XXXX, that they also sent a notification to IRS a 1099-C Cancellation of Debt for the loan in question XXXX for XXXX and they had sent me Tax statement form 1099 for XXXX. This is a perfect example of the bank does things that can be considered Illegal or at least extreme incompetence. How can they be collecting from me for 4 years, after the loan was closed.

Northern Trust Bank resigned as Trustee of my trust over a year ago in XX/XX/XXXX. Since then I have been looking for a successor trustee who meets all the qualifications stated in Trust. I have now found one, XXXX, who meets the standards in the trust to be the successor trustee. The trust document states on page 11, Article VII, that the trust can be moved by a majority of the grantor 's and grantor 's spouse living children, of which there are five. I have three of the five required signatures, which constitute the majority ( see attached trust document ). Yet on XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from the trust administrator, XXXX XXXX, stating they will not honor the wording of the trust, but rather had made-up their own " standard '' which consisted of me getting all five signatures. THIS " standard '' IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE IN THE TRUST DOCUMENT. I have not had a trustee in over a year and they are blocking me from transferring my trust by not complying with the trust document and adding their own made-up standards. This is malicious conduct in bad faith. XXXX XXXX even admits it in his letter to me ( attached ). He admits I am right about what the trust states, but said they are choosing to apply their own made-up standard for transferring it rather than complying with the letter of the trust document.

I had a trust account with northern trust company. XXXX Florida branch. My mom had her estate administrated by them and her will and trust became irrevocable when she died XX/XX/XXXX. Article Third of mom 's amended will which she amended XX/XX/XXXX, states the sole mention of the condo, in the will and trust.it says if my brother wanted the condo, he could have it and the value of the condo shall be deducted from his share of the estate. The plan of distribution of the amended irrevocable trust is 5050.the condo value was XXXX he took the condo in XXXX, sold it spent the sales proceeds. They never took the deduction for my equal share. Instead, in XXXX, they said his account was over funded by XXXX, so they deducted that from his account transferred it to mine. They called this half the value of the condo. They also called it the whole value of the condo.fact is, as the account statement showing the transfer says, the overfund was from a distribution in XX/XX/XXXX, made in error to his trust from our mom 's trust estate. In other words, nothing whatsoever to do with the condo. They also created a fraudulent accounting in which they falsely show the condo value as if added twice to the portfolio funding for both trusts

XXXX XXXX XXXX closed my mother 's accounts and has not appropriately sent her the money or made them available via the escheatment process. The funds should never have been escheated. Northern Trust was calling me to obtain personal information. Due to potential fraud my daughters have advised her to never answer personal questions and to ask for everything in writing. They did not send a letter until XX/XX/2020 and said they were escheating my funds on XX/XX/XXXX. By the time I received this I had only XXXX business days to respond and I do not feel comfortable responding - my daughters take care of all my bills. By the time we could call they said it was too late and they escheated the funds. They have been unable to show that they followed the proper escheatment process. It has been months and the money is not on our State Treasurer unclaimed funds. Please note this was all pre-COVID. They are being extremely difficult - customer service is not giving us answers and say they will call but they do not follow through. Their treatment of a senior citizen is shameful. I would be wary of investing with them, it is not an ethical organization.

Northern Trust manages a trust from my mothers estate for the last 3 years or so. I am a beneficiary of the account but in all those years they have never sent a statement to me until last month. In that statement I found that they somehow 'forgot ' to distribute residual funds that should have been distributed to the beneficiaries. And simply because they have their foot on my neck, they charge fees so that this account - which is all cash, loses value every month. After a while it will disappear into their vault. Northern Trust clearly had instructions to distribute the funds to the beneficiaries 3 years ago. I do not know how or why I got the account statement from them. It looks to me like this is my account with $ XXXX in it. No one else is listed. But now they are suggesting that I am only a 1/4 share owner. I asked for distribution, but now they say they have to 'calculate ' the refund. They have the computing power of the pentagon, but they cant make out how much to distribute? I is a fabrication on the face. And the phone number on the statement 3/4 of them are dead.It took them weeks to finally respond to my messages.

I have had this problem several times but most recently XXXX. Northern Trust out of XXXX, IL processes check payments for a number of banks. I work in a shared office space with a single address but multiple companies. When Northern Trust processes checks they include all checks paid the same day to the same address in the same envelope regardless of which company it goes to. In previous cases, I would have a client send payment but the check would end up in the envelope of another company that received a separate check payment from an unrelated payee that day. I would never get the check. In this case, I received a check from a client and behind that check in the same envelope was a check from a different party to a different company in my shared office space. I would expect that this is not allowable for a number of reasons but especially because banking information from the checks is getting into the hands of a different party than who they were intended for. Northern Trust told me that that is just the way they do it. They said I could contact the bank that initiated the payment to change a setting but that was not possible.

Subject : XXXX XXXX XXXX am the beneficiary of a trust an aunt established at the XXXX Florida. I received notice from the bank that " tax preparation and filingfees will increase to {$900.00} for the XXXX XXXX hours and {$300.00} for each additionalhour required. Bottom line, while I received {$5700.00}, XXXX received a total of {$4300.00} infees PLUS {$650.00} for tax preparation. Am I the only one who thinks thisexcessiv? Also, with the increase in tax preparation cossts this year, XXXXfees almost equal my income from the fund. What avenues are open to me tocontest these fees?

This complaint would be a follo0w up to two previous complaints # XXXX filed XX/XX/XXXX, and # XXXX, filed XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX a stamped letter was sent to XXXX XXXX, Senior Vice President, Wealth Management, who would be the person who last responded to my concerns about the accounting of my fathers estate, requesting : 1. A copy of the revised XX/XX/XXXX XXXX tax document filed with the IRS in XX/XX/XXXX by Northern Trust. 2. All correspondence and tax forms filed with the IRS on behalf of my fathers estate. 3. Copies of all legal invoices billed to, and paid for, by the estate after those received for XX/XX/XXXX. As their was no response to the stamped letter, a certified letter was sent XX/XX/XXXX to which there was also no response. My complaint would be that this information requested would be within my legal right to review, but XXXX XXXX did not respond to my request for this information.

Problem 1 : I have XXXX of my money in the money market account and interest rate was 4.84 % but because it was XXXX I would only receive .25 %. When I called Friday XX/XX/01. I was told by the CSR that as soon as it becomes < XXXX .The difference would be credited > XXXXXXXX XXXX But When I called I was told they would not honor and some one call XXXX -last name unknown ( I was not given his last name or designation ) and that this person has the authority to make decisions. Inspite of repeated attempts my questions are not answered Problem 2 : They raised the interest rates and had an ad on the website of higher interest rates and I was on the lower rate for 2 months, before asking them via secure message only then did they give me the new rate : It is well documented and would be on the secure messages I sent them Both are classic examples of very deceptive business practices

Northern Trust blatantly cheats my account to make their profits higher. 1. The columns do not add up properly. {$3.00} + {$7.00} = {$10.00}, but their computer calls it {$10.00}. 2. They charge outrageous fees for accounts they hide from the beneficiaries. My account generated {$10.00} in dividends, but XXXX claims {$33.00} to manage it. 3. They promised to reverse the fees they charged to my account but now that they sent a statement, the fees have been restored and charged to my account. 4. This account with XXXX should have been closed out years ago. Had I not complained last year, it would have continued until the whole account is whittled away to nothing for the beneficiaries. How many fees have there been over the years. I do not know bc they do not send me a statement on a regular basis. Northern Trust is a bad actor and should be sanctioned.

On XX/XX/2023 I found that there were 2 checks written on my account with out of sequence numbers, clearly forged signatures, not my handwriting and written and cashed by the same individual. The checks were for {$10000.00} and {$6200.00}. I immediately reported this to Northern Trust and my wife and I sent in drivers license copies, affidavits affirming the counterfeit checks and all other information requested within a couple of weeks. I have numerous email correspondence with them and was told that it would take 90 days before any money would be returned and that it was all dependent upon the bank that accepted the counterfeit checks before Northern Trust would refund my money.
