On XX/XX/XXXX, a company known as " Northern Resolution Services '', XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX, called my cell phone from an anonymous number, and left a message. The message stated that the individual was going to " issue legal documents to my home or place of employment '' and to call " XXXX '' to rectify the situation, leading me to believe they were some type of process server. Upon calling the number, I was told that they were trying to collect a debt in the amount of {$2300.00}, for a company called " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. They wanted me to pay them via credit or debit card over the phone. I requested that they send me verifiacation of the debt, which has not happened. Upon calling " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '', that company confirmed to me that I once took out a {$350.00} loan from them in XX/XX/XXXX, and that loan was paid off completely, in it's entirety, over two years ago. They also recommended that I not give the " debt collector '' any money or information, and that they would be willing to verify my information to any law enforcement agency or government agency that inquired, that the " debt '' does not currently exist, nor did it ever in the amount specified by " Northern Resolution Services ''. This company has numerous complaints against them online for the same reasons, and also has an extremely similar name and geographic location as another company, called " Northern Resolution Group '', that was fined and shut down by the New York State Attorney General for similar illegal debt collection activities. Upon confronting the company via phone, they denied any wrongdoing, and refused to discuss the situation any further. I have both the message left on my phone, as well as the subsequent phone conversation with " Northern Resolution Services '' recorded, and can make them available to you if needed.

I received a call from my boss at a XXXX home I only work at once a month. She stated that a man called and said that he was contacting her to tell her I was being sued and that he would be at the job in the afternoon to serve me, with a police officer. or she could just give him my address and they will come to my home instead. Also was asking her if I work tonight. He then gave her the phone number so she can reach him and the case number of the " law suit ''. She gave me all the information and when I called I learned that it was a collection agency. I do not know how they got my job information as I haven't been working for them for that long and this really didn't look good for me. She told me please take care of this we can't have people coming to the XXXX home for things like this. I did not speak to anyone on the phone from the company ( Northern Resolution Group LLC ) They did not identity them self to my boss as a collection agency in XXXX NY.

Northern Resolution Services has called many friends, and family members of mine - they state my name and that a " case '' was received in their office and i need to contact them immediately with at reference number XXXX - the gentleman calling is XXXX XXXX. He never discloses the mini-miranda and left personal information.
I called the company on XX/XX/XXXX - spoke with a representative and asked for proof of this " debt '' which I never received.
When I told him about the phone calls and I wanted them to stop and they were violating FCRA guidelines he said he said " XXXX Bless '' and hung up on me.
