On XX/XX/2022 when researching mortgage interest rates, I came upon Bankrate 's website offering a {$200.00} gift card if I submitted my information to obtain mortgage quotes and if my loan actually closed with XXXX of the quotes provided. See attached email with qualifying code. I received a quote from XXXX among several other lenders, and chose XXXX due to it having the lowest interest rate. My mortgage closed on XX/XX/2022. Shortly thereafter in XXXX I submitted all the closing paperwork to Bank XXXX to obtain my gift card, please see attached emails from Bankrate confirming receipt of all paperwork and assurance that my gift card was processing and would arrive " soon ''. 2 months went by and I followed up again on XX/XX/XXXX asking about the status and was told the gift card would be shipped soon. XXXX more months went by and I followed up in late XXXX asking for the status and was told there were " fulfillment issues '' with their vendor and they were working on it. I followed up again on XX/XX/2022 and today XX/XX/XXXX and have not received any further responses. This advertising is false and deceptive.

I selected a mortgage provider on Bankrate.com. One of the reasons I did so was because Bankrate.com offered a {$500.00} ( giftcard ) incentive that I was to be eligible to receive upon closure of the mortgage. The mortagage closed in XXXX, and I applied for the incentive. I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX indicating that my request had been received and that I should receive the card within 6-10 weeks. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Bankrate.com customer service and inquired as to why I had yet to receive the card. A representative called XXXX XXXX wrote me back that ( via email ) that " my request is still in process. '' As of today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I have not received my the card and have not been offered an explanation. Recently, I wrote customer sevice again and have not rceived a response or explanation. I think that Bankrate offered this incentive in bad faith, with no intention of making good on it.

XXXX is advertising Boat & RV Loans through a XXXX paid search campaign ( that says Ad ). When you click on it, nothing discloses that its actually an unsecured personal loan application. In fact, youre given every reason to believe youre applying for a secured boat & rv loan until you consent to a soft pull, at which point you see a list of pre approved personal loan options at outrageous rates. This is deceptive and it pushes consumers into a higher, unsecured, rate thats 2-3x the average secured RV rate. I never would have consented to a credit pull for a personal loan. If thats what theyre selling, then it should be advertised as a Boat & RV loan.

I'm not sure if this is the correct complaint section to list this under but I will do my best to explain. I closed a mortgage through one of Bankrates providers and they promised a XXXX reward card when I closed a loan with them. I uploaded the required documents ( Closing Disclosure ) and they confirmed it would be up to 60 days to " review. '' Well, I uploaded those documents after I closed on XX/XX/28 and have attempted to contact them several times since but receive no reply email or phone calls and it appears they are hoping I move on and don't take action on what they promised.

Bank rate is advertising a 2.41 APR a 15 year fixed on XXXX. This rate is absolutely not available in any market, is misleading, and is in my mind false advertising. This is not the interest rate, this is the APR which includes points. There is no way this rate is available. I have checked rates and they are over 4 % currently

I can not comprehend why you are not doing your job of enforcement. XXXX is advertising on XXXX a 1.88 % APR without a credit score and without knowing whether its a purchase or refinance. This is pure baloney. Todays date is XX/XX/2021. No way that they can advertise 15 year fixed at XXXX APR for everyone.

I think it is totally illegal for companies to show a rate that may be out of date with no disclosure. Its a way for them to get your info and then nonstop bombard you. Rates should be up to date or within a week.
