New Era Asset Management has been contacting me numerous times a week and leaving messages saying that legal action will be pursued if I don't respond by XXXX pm EST and/or that I will forfeit any discounts if I don't respond immediately. I received multiple calls per day and XXXX voicemails were left from XX/XX/22 until XX/XX/22, when I spoke to XXXX XXXX. During the XX/XX/22 phone call, he told me that I owed an unspecified amount of money to an unspecified lender and that since they owned the debt now I needed to settle it ASAP. I informed XXXX XXXX that I had no idea what debt he was referring to since he gave me no details so I requested a debt verification letter. I provided my updated address for this purpose then informed him that I did not want to be contacted again about this matter until I received a letter verifying the debt ie original lender and amount. XXXX XXXX assured me that he would have the verification letter prepared and mailed to the address I provided. XXXX, XX/XX/22, I received XXXX phone calls from XXXX XXXX, who identified himself as a supervisor at New Era Asset Management. His message said, " Hi this message is intended for XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX and I'm a supervisor here at New Era Asset Management. This is not a sales call or a solicitation. I'm contacting you today in reference to XXXX XXXX. This matter of yours was forwarded to my office and requires your immediate response. Please return the call as this will be documented as my first attempt to reach you personally. My direct number is XXXX. Call me back please & refer to file # XXXX. This is an attempt to collect a debt & any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Thank you. '' XXXX XXXX then proceeded to call : my mother, my father, and both of my brothers. He left the same message with all XXXX of them even though they have nothing to do with this debt. XXXX XXXX not only failed to provide a debt verification letter and honor my no contact request, he also disclosed personal and private information to all of my family members which caused them much worry and distress. Moreover, this company obtained a copy of my credit report using a hard inquiry which is completely unnecessary and which I interpret as an intimidation tactic since hard inquiries decrease my credit score. As XXXX XXXX is surely aware, if he needed to obtain updated contact info his company could easily use a service such as XXXX for this purpose.

I received a voicemail on my XXXX voice line from XXXX XXXX leaving identifiable information about my debt. They said on the voicemail that it was file in his office with the file number and who the original creditor is. Then he called me on my main cell phone number. I answered and it was XXXX XXXX. He was not rude, but did not identify that he was with a collection agency, or even give the disclaimer " This is an attempt to collect a debt, any information obtained will be used for that purpose. '' He went full throttle into talking about the debt. I contested verbally over the phone the validity of the debt. They ignored that my valid balance was {$100.00}. He only wanted to discuss what XXXX XXXX XXXX sent over to him. I told him that my balance got down to {$100.00} and XXXX/XXXX tacked on a lot of fees to keep my balance high and this was not the first time they did this. I told him that I would settle for {$100.00}, he said he could not do that and then passed me off his supervisor who was quite rude and condescending. I told XXXX before I was passed off without notice that XXXX is still dinging my credit as of two days ago. He said they should not be doing that, but he did not seem concerned. I reminded the supervisor that he was in violation of the FDCPA, but did not tell him that what violation, just that I had been a debt collector for 18 years, and I am very well versed in the FDCPA. He said that the most he was allowed to give was 25 % discount. I told him that they bought the debt for pennies on the dollar and by offering this tiny discount was a farce, because they could offer more. He got really rude and refused to listen to a thing had to say and hung up. I want these violations addressed and fixed. These individuals have no training in the FDCPA or they act as if the FDCPA does not pertain to them. I have the recording of this call if needed to verify my claims. I am in a one party state.

The collection agency contacted my mother whom does not live with me or live in the same city as me about the debt, I never received a phone call from the agency prior to this, my mother is the one who called me about this. I received my first phone call and spoke with the man who was handling the debt case. He was very brass, not polite nor professional and aggressive while speaking with him on the phone. After this encounter, he has repeatedly called my mother and myself and the phone numbers would be from XXXX NY and then it would come from a number that is local and because my phone number is from a different state than where I live, the number would come from the same area code as my number so they are attempting every tactic to get intouch with me even though we had already spoke. On XX/XX/XXXX he called my mother and gave her my personal information and information about the debt. My mother contacted me and told me he called her. I immediately called him and told him it was against the law to give my personal information and the information regarding the debt to someone other than myself. The individual became very aggressive towards me and then started asking me how I pay my other bills and says " I am looking at all your information on your credit report and nothing is late, so how do you pay your bills? '' I explained that I have been very sick since XXXX and on a leave of absence for work and paying this debt was on the back burner just like those affected by Covid-19. This individual started accusing me of fraud and I clearly stated that he is not to contact my mother again and I hung up on him.

New Era Asset management has been harassing me. They have been calling non-stop and harassing me and my " associates '' trying to find me. on XXXX I called them and asked why they were calling. They told me that it was because of some kind of money I owed to some other company. I requested them to send to my address the exact details of the money I supposedly owed and the original contract that I supposedly signed. Once I received that in the mail, I told them that I would then work with them if it was valid and resolve it. The debt that they mentioned is not listed on my credit report, and I am suspicious that this is money that I actually owe. I requested that they stop harassing me at work and that they stop calling my known " associates. '' Today on XX/XX/10 they called another known associate looking for me. I am again now requesting that they quit calling and harassing me. If they want to communicate with me they need to send the original documents of the " debt '' and who I owe. They are continually harassing me. They need to stop. I have already requested that they not communicate with me during XXXX and to send me what exactly I owe and the original documents in the mail.

XXXX XXXX with New Era Assests called me on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. I called back shorly after and spoke to him about my debt. I advised him I would like to make a monthly payment arrangment for $ XXXX/month to pay off my debt. He was very rude an upset about this amount. He told me that they could try to do that with a automatic payment, but probably couldn't do that little of an amount, it would have to be {$160.00}. I told him I could call back on XX/XX/XXXX to make a payment, but that I didn't want to set up an automatic withdrawal. He got extremely upset, told me he would go back to his client to let them know I was unwilling to work with them, and then hung up on me. I am willing to pay back the money, and am only able to do {$100.00} at the moment, but have been advised not to do automatic payments. I was appalled at how rude I was treated, and have never been talked to like that by a debt collector. They are also contacting family of mine that was NEVER approved or written down on my account.

A representative from the company called me and when I called back because I didnt recognize the number stated they were calling me about a loan with XXXX XXXX. I asked him was he sure he had the person and then just proceeded with the call. He stated he had a check I had for a loan and when I asked him to send he said they would but lets resolve the issue. I explained to him i and never heard of him or his company and he then stated they were on my credit report. I told him that was not correct and he then ran an inquiry on my credit report with out my permission. He stated I have given them pro mission and that was not the case because I have never heard of the company. When I told him I was recording the call he then hung up and they refused to answer my calls. I then pulled up my credit report and it was an inquiry for this company on my report. I tried calling them several times and they just sent me to voice mail.

XXXX ( XXXX ) from New Era Asset Management has called my workplace on the unsecured line, called other phone lines in my name, very aggressive nature and states he was told to contact me for a complaint filed in XXXX County for a debt that I owe. I have not received any written documentation from his company regarding the debt or a chance to call them with a resolution. I am recently employed after being laid off 2 years ago and along with caring for my XXXX sick mother and also dealing with my own health issues, I have fallen behind with a lot of debt and will need 3-6 months to get caught up. XXXX states that the " smart '' thing to do would be to call him back. He also states that he knows where I work- this statement implying a threat to interfere.

Receiving multiple repetitious collection calls from collection agency on my sons account that is in collections with New Era Asset Management. Called me XXXX/XXXX/16 at 4 separate times from XXXX different numbers XXXX and XXXX between XXXX and XXXX. On all 4 calls received during that 8 minute period, no messages were left requesting a call back. 4 calls from a collection agency in 8 minutes is collection harassment. Especially since no messages were left. In addition, this collection account is actually in my sons name, but he did approve for me to speak the them on his behalf. I spoke with them 2 days in a row in attempt to resolve the collection account balance, but there is no need to continuously make harassing repetitious phone calls.

Makes frequent repeat phone calls throughout the day, has done two phone calls back to back. Consistently contacted other parties seeking location information after having my contact information and refusing to send written notice to my address. Called my place of employment and refused to end phone call after I stated that I was at work and continued to pressure me to stay on the phone waiting for an email to come through after stating multiple times that I was at work. Caller used a very demeaning tone and continued to pressure me in to a conversation while I work in a hospital setting. The company clearly uses scare tactics in their communication efforts with me and the other parties they are trying to involve.

Over the past 2 days, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX, I have received 5 calls from New Era Asset Management ( XXXX XXXX ) seeking restitution for a past due credit card bill. But, I have been harassed by one individual, a " XXXX XXXX '', who evidently works for this company. He called me all 5 times : 2 separate voicemails and 3 direct dials. I called the company back and settled the debt, closing the account. However, this is a complaint of the excessive calling which I have received. I feel that this is credit harassment by New Era Asset Management. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a report with the XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, New York, requesting that no further contact be made to me by New Era Asset Management.

XXXX at New Era Asset Management calls me with back to back calls while I am at work. He is aware I work in a XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. He continues to call and does so without leaving any gap. He also called the main call line and informed a coworker they needed to speak with me. That is strictly against the rules and is common knowledge that you can not take personal calls in a XXXX XXXX. I was approached by management for the infraction and advised I can not let it happen again. This is unacceptable behavior that needs to end. I have been forced to turn my phone to silent and lock it away so if I have an emergency I will not know until I have a break.

For the past few months I've been getting calls many times throughout the day. They never leave a voicemail.I have a busy schedule and its hard for me to answer calls. They have reached out to every single family member, my in laws and even people that I don't associate trying to reach out to me. My family members and myself feel harrassed for all these ongoing calls. At first I waited for at least something to come in my mail regarding this debt but never received one. I do not feel comfortable giving my information over the phone to someone that can not provide any proof, especially if I can not find a website of them.

On XX/XX/2019 XXXX-XXXX add a derogatory mark on my credit report per XXXX XXXX. Upon, further research, this account was transferred/sold and I am no longer responsible for the account. Debtor 's creditor did not verify this collection. Also, there was No written form of communication, contract, or signature for this accused debt at all. A bill without a signature does not validate the debt and anybody can send a bill and say it's mines. According to the FCRA. NEW ERA ASSETS has violated my rights as a consumer and i'm requesting legal action to remove this account immediately.
