I was contacted at my work number by a man name XXXX XXXX, ( legal name XXXX XXXX XXXX ) working for Nationwide Debt Management. He started off the conversation by not announcing who he was or why he was calling, just that he was looking for a program coordinator and/or the highest person he could get to that worked for my agency. When I asked what it was regarding he said I need to get information about `` XXXX '' ( my maiden name ). At which point I said, well you are speaking to her what can I help you with. That's when the rant started about how I am XXXX and I owe him money and I need to pay up. That he was going to call the surgeons company I worked for and sue them, take me to court. Call my boss ( XXXX ), and get my information to provide to the court system to garnish my wages. Told me I had plenty of time to take care of this and now because I refuse to make a payment arrangement with him on the phone he is going to take me for everything I am worth and garnish everything. I asked him to stop threatening me and he stated : " I am not threatening you, I'm making you accountable for not paying for more than 2 years on a debt you own and if you don't I will take you to court and sue you for the money. '' At this point I told him I would take down his information and give him a call back when I was in a more private area and he stated : " I know you are not going to call me back because you don't answer your phone calls and you don't pay your bills so why would you call me back. '' I stated to him, well if he wasn't so rude maybe this conversation would go a lot longer, but at any rate give me the phone number. I sat in silence. He then stated ya know the least you could do is acknowledge when I talk to you because a normal human being would do so. I stated : please give me your phone number. He stated : Why, you're not going to call me back, you can't just take care of this now? I then asked for his supervisor. He stated : His name is XXXX XXXX with a XXXX degree. I said and what is your name? He said XXXX XXXX with a XXXX degree. I said that has nothing to do with anything may I speak to your supervisor. He again stated : I have a XXXX degree, that's right, a XXXX degree and you have nothing and you need to pay your debt. I said ya know what, put someone else on the phone because I'm done talking to you. He said I will give you to XXXX and she can set up a payment arrangement with you. I said fine and he transferred me to XXXX, whose customer service was better but unwilling to work with me to set up a payment plan. I asked XXXX to have a supervisor call me and she brushed me off. Then when I told her what I could afford and what I was wiling to do, she told me it was not good enough and that she was going to go after my husband. I said I'll do you one better, and put him on the phone. He and she worked out a payment plan and I still have not heard from any supervisor of XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Hello CFPB, I received multiple phone calls from a rude man named XXXX XXXX XXXX from Nationwide Debt Collections on XXXX XX/XX/2018. XXXX first called me at XXXX XXXX on my cellphone, and then proceeded to call my work company three more times after, back to back, an hour or so later. After he called my cell phone to which I answered saying I was at work and that I would return his call shortly, he called me work phone which he is not allowed to do. I specifically told him not to contact me at work and to only contact me via my cell phone, and that I was unavailable to talk at that moment because I was at work. He then called my work phone again, and created lies saying that my dad didn't care if I went to jail or got sued, and he said my dad was swearing at him when he just got off the phone with him and he was upset at my dad. It was clear he was taking his anger out from my dad onto me, because my dad did not want to speak with him. He called an additional two more times, to which I asked my coworker to answer because I was feeling very overwhelmed and harassed by this rude man. He then started talking very rudely to my coworker, and told him he was a collection agency and that I owed money, disclosing very personal details to my coworker which he is certainly not allowed to do. He has a very aggressive nature, and my coworker was severely taken aback by XXXX 's behavior. We already told XXXX that we are willing to go to court over the debt amount, but he still was harassing us and trying to scare us into paying. He also kept changing the amounts we owed. I believe XXXX XXXX preyed on me because I was young, and he tried to get me to pay using deception and fear. I have never in my life spoken to someone so rude and overall as terrible as a human as XXXX. He is not allowed to harass me and call me employer several times, even after I explicitly asked him not to. He is also not allowed to harass my family members. He is not allowed to tell my employer about any of my personal stuff. He violated all these rights that I am protected with, and it is simply not okay.

I received a voicemail on XXXX XXXX requesting a call back from XXXX XXXX with Nationwide DMS and the number provided was ( XXXX ) XXXX with her extension. I did not call her back. The very next day ( less than 24 hours ) I received a call at work from her. I informed her it was my work number and she said she was aware but she was a debt collection company attempting to collect a debt and she was notifying me that they were pursuing legal action if not paid. I then explained I can not pay, I am in the process of retaining an attorney for bankruptcy. She then proceeded to tell me that these fees can not be included in a bankruptcy which to my knowledge is incorrect but neither I nor she is an attorney and should n't be providing that information. She was very persistent and made it seem like I must call her back today ( if I can pay or make payments ) or they will file suit in small claims court. I called her back a few hours later and she became irritated that I told her I could not pay. She threatened to revoke my drivers license ( this is collection for unpaid tow yard fees ) I told her my license was suspended for a XXXX and she laughed and said " that 's too bad '' and then began to harass me about my living situation. Asked if I lived with my mom, insinuating I do not pay rent and that I could pay the balance. Also said " Well you have a job do n't you? '' These allegations should not be coming from a debt collector. I felt harassed. She would not let me talk and continued to talk over me saying they are going to pursue legal action since I 'm lying about not being able to pay. She then hung up. I called back to talk to her supervisor, and I was unable to get a word in and she hung up again. I called the number she provided in her voicemail the day before to complain about her tactics. I filed a complaint with XXXX. I do n't know if that even would help. I also informed them to remove my work number from their file as it was a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have never received any written documentation from Nationwide DMS directly. Only the creditor itself.

I recieved a notice of pending lien sale from XXXX XXXX XXXX for a car that i had almost a year ago. i sold that car and i am recieving this now in the month of XX/XX/2018 and then i recieved a call on XX/XX/2018 from Nationwide Debt Management Solutions an debt collector. When i wa son the phone the lady ( XXXX ) told me about what ahe was calling for and i told her that i had sold that car and that i didnt underatand what she was saying and she just threantened me to sue me and to take me to court if i didn't pay XXXX for the debt for that car. After i told her again i don't understand what do i have to do she hung up. Once my daugther got home she called and asked what they called and i got all the information we needed we urged ro the DMV and they told us that the car is not under my name and the lady at the DMV told me to ignore the calls and to tell them to leave us alone. They stopped calling for a week but they just called my daugther yesturday while being at work and my daugther repeated what the DMV told us and they keep saying if we had proof to send it to them ans my daugther told them that they need no proof from the DMV because the lady at the DMV had already told them they need no.proof of nothing to stop calling as well which they have not been doing. They called me again as well and left a voice message telling me that it is a short period of time that i have to call back if not i will run out of time. I Recieved a notice to intent to file suit and incur costs from Law Office of XXXX XXXX that was retained by NWDMS, LLC. I recieved that letter on XX/XX/2018.

On Monday XXXX XXXX 2015 at XXXX EST I returned a phone call from a debt collection company called Nationwide Debt Management Solutions . An employee from the company answered the phone who identified himself as XXXX. XXXX began to give me information regarding my debt and the reason for the phone call. XXXX asked me to provide him my personal financial information and where I worked. I declined to provide this information as I felt unsafe to do so without receiving written notice. Abruptly another male employee jumped on the phone identifying himself as XXXX XXXX, Collections Manager, and demanded I provide the information XXXX requested or they would n't be able " help me '' with making payments. He threatened me that he would tell his staff not to provide me payments if I did n't give him my personal information. XXXX went on to use abusive and aggressive language by demeaning me by in a hostile tone, " you know your financial situation. '' " If you do n't tell us the information we need to know then we wo n't be able to setup payments. '' The harassment continued on with his bullying tactics and trying to scare me while the other employee XXXX did nothing. This company has XXXX complaints filed with the XXXX. Someone needs to take serious corrective action against this man and his company. It is not the Wild West and if I am held accountable to a low credit score due to my personal financial situation then unprofessional and harassing collections agents need to be held accountable for their unprofessionalism and abuse.

I obtained a loan thru XXXX XXXX for the amount of {$800.00} and was making regular payments to pay back until I loss my job. I was unable to pay back the remaining so in-turn they charged all the fees you can imagine to it and turned it over to a debt collection agency know as Nationwide Debt Management. I initiated a payment plan with them to settle my debt which was then well close to, if not over a {$1000.00}. I began a regular payment plan bi-weekly over several months paying it down to over half of what was owed. Then my bank sent me a new bank card with a chip and a payment did not go thru. So they contacted me and I gave them the new account info and re-established the payments again. However, when a payment did not go thru ( which was over a holiday ), they contacted me again. So I asked them to reschedule the payment again on a specific date which was the following Friday. However, the agent ( XXXX XXXX ) became very rude and told me " we do n't want your money '', then hung up the phone. I was left with no other choice at that point. So since then, I have been receiving phone calls day and night at home and now, just today, at my place of employment. The lady ( XXXX ) told me she was calling to collect a debt and I told her Not to call me at my place of work again and she then told me " Well you are going to pay this back one way or the other so Good luck '' and hung up. I am XXXX from all these calls demanding payment. No consumer should have to be treated this way. Sincerely -

On XX/XX/18 a letter was sent out from Nationwide Debt Management Solutions in XXXX, CA. It was regarding the tow and storage charges on a vehicle that was never registered in my name and that I was not in possession of at the time of the tow. I also went to DMV where they advised I was never a registered owner and not liable for the vehicle or any tow charges incurred. I called on XX/XX/18 to advise them of the information and that I would be disputing the debt in paper and send certified, return receipt, first class mail today which is within the 30 days I am given to dispute the debt. They then advised they would throw away any written correspondence and debt dispute letter I send and would go ahead with reporting this invalid debt to credit reporting agencies and mess my credit up. They also stated the DMV has no jurisdiction or say in who is liable for a vehicle. I asked if they had a judgement ( I was never served or notified of such a judgement ) and they stated it didn't matter they could ruin my credit with no judgement. I was also insulted in several different ways such as being told I am ignorant, XXXX, incompetent of understanding etc. My rights to dispute the debt are being infringed upon by being told my written dispute would be thrown away and told my credit would be ruined with no court order/judgement.

This is a debt from XX/XX/2011in which I returned a vehicle because I could no longer pay XXXX XXXX because the car was a lemon but I continued to pay for it until it broke down and I returned it to company voluntary. It was Sold to this company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who harassed me in the past stating I owed them XXXX. Because car didn't sell at auction for a good price and I had to pay balance. I bought the car for XXXX and had for over 3 years before giving it back. I did not owe what they're saying and had been paying them for 4 years XXXX a month and they are still saying I owe XXXX with crazy finance charges. I have never been given documents regarding the sell of vehicle or what was owed from sell. My understanding the original company write it off as bad debt and this company bought it. I don't believe I owe them that amount. The statute of limitations has long passed because it's a debt the last payment made to the original company was XX/XX/2011. I have asked them to stop calling my job and they continue to harass and leave messages with my coworkers and main answer in machine. I would like to be contacted by mail with proof I really owe them after being harassed to pay them for the last four years but never got proof it's legit.

I have received repeated daily phone calls from XXXX with " Nationwide Debt Management Solutions '' at XXXX. I spoke with her the first time she called and informed her I can not receive personal calls at work. She refused to tell me who the original creditor is. I told her if I was disputing the validity of any debt with them and she needed to send proof to my home address. I also provided her with my cell phone number. She continues to make repeated, frequent, and harassing calls to my workplace. She has contacted several of my co-workers and my manager. She has been numerous times to stop calling my place of business and refuses to do so. If someone answers and asks her what it is about she refuses to say, only stating that she needs to speak with me about a personal matter. If they say I am unavailable, she yells " RUDE! '' and hangs up. in addition, because one of my co-workers would not transfer the call to me, she called another co-worker asking to speak with their manager so she could discuss their lack of professionalism on the phone. The person who spoke with her simply told her I was unavailable.

My parents entered into an arrangement with Nationwide Debt XXXX to pay off credit cards used to pay for my mother 's medical expenses. My mother passed away in XXXX 2015. In helping my father determine the agreement with Nationwide, including the contract length, the payment arrangement, and the status of the debts associated with the contract, it has come to my attention that this company operates in a deceptive manner. The company takes the obligors monthly payment, does not contact the creditor until Nationwide believes they can make some sort of settlement with the creditor. During that time, the representative told me they are well aware that the obligor 's creditors continue to charge late charge fees, increased interest rates, etc. Even though my father had notified them of my mother 's passing, Nationwide failed to contact any of the creditor 's to determine if the accounts were in my Mom 's name or Father 's name. My father had enough money in his Nationwide Account to settle the debt, but until I called they had not contacted the XXXX remaining creditors.

They have violated my rights with harassing calls at my place of work, harassing calls to my family members and friends as well as threatening me on my personal phone. They call all of these places with the same threatening story that I am going to be served at my employer and sued for non payment if I don't pay them by a certain time that day. I have requested numerous times to have the information on this debt sent to me in writing so I may review the accuracy and legticmy of this debt. You refuse to give me an account number or any information on this debt. I am hung up on every time I make this request. I am also hung up on when I ask for their contact information. I was only able to get their company name and address by tracing one of the numbers they have called me from. They only say the original debt is XXXX XXXX but give no loan number or will not send me any written information on this debt. They say they are a law office hired to serve me on this debt.

I have received repeated phone calls from Nationwide Debt. My mother was called and contacted me. They threatened to contact me at work. I called Nationwide to understand the nature of the call and was informed that I owe a debt. I did not recognize the debt yet they had personal information that I did not share with them. I tried to relay to the representative that I wanted proof of the debt. The representative was rude and condescending with me so I discontinued the call. I was later called on my job by XXXX XXXX to resolve this matter. It is one thing to contact me through family members and my cell phone and it is completely egregious to call me a t work. My company does not condone the use of their phone for personal matters. If I broke company policy that would put my livelihood in jeopardy. I have a problem with this approach. It is my desire to never have them contact me again at work or any other number that I have not authorized.

I have received several calls to attempt to collect on a XXXX XXXX XXXX and have been subjected to very abusive and adversarial language. On XXXX/XXXX/2015 I received a call from XXXX from XXXX asking me to " man up '' and pay my debt, after I had advised them that I had experience a significant reduction in hours at my job. I work in the XXXX, and with the price of XXXX my income has been reduced by 50 %. After insulting my masculinity for being unable to pay, he called my wife at her place of employment and demanded payment from her. She has nothing to do with this debt, she was not a cardholder and she does not have permission to receive personal calls at work. He verbally abused my wife as well. I am concerned that this company may not be a legitimate company or have the proper authority to collect this debt because I do n't feel like any legitimate company would be that obscene when working with customers.

This company claimed to be Nationwide XXXX, and they have called my work and demanded rudely to speak to my boss after calling all around my organization. This is unacceptable. I have never received any sort of mail from them, and I am assuming they are some sort of zombie debt collection outfit/scammer. I do not deal with companies I have never heard of anyway, as I get numerous scam calls. I will not deal with them on the telephone, period. If they believe I owe them something, they need to contact me in writing, but calling my office is not tolerated. If they get me fired, then they can be assured they wo n't ever see a penny, even if by chance there is some legitimacy to this, which I doubt. The call came at approximately XXXX to my office secretary, and the rude caller claimed her name was XXXX XXXX with a number of XXXX. I believe the number XXXX is also associated with these people.

In XX/XX/XXXX I obtained a payday installment loan from XXXX. I was unable to keep up on these payments, so decided to do debt settlement on this ( and other debt ) through XXXX company. I settled all my debt in XX/XX/XXXX have been making monthly payments since. In XX/XX/XXXX the debt was converted into a debt consolidation loan with XXXX. I have been paying timely payments on the whole of debt ever since. Now my employer as well as myself are being repeatedly contacted by Nationwide Debt Management XXXX ( or NDMS ) XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX CA XXXX asking for payment on my debt to XXXX I no longer owe this debt! I asked for a validation of debt and received only an e-mail. Not to mention the amount was far higher than what I originally owed as well ... very concerning.

Nationwide DMS, representative XXXX XXXX called my co-worker today on XXXX XXXX at a number I did not provide, asked my co-worker if they worked with me. He provided a call back number of XXXX and asked my co-worker to provide his number to me and have me call him. He then asked my co-worker is she was my boss to which she replied NO and he asked for the name and number of my boss, which was not provided. My co-worker now knows that I have a debt collector looking for me and I absolutely did not provide my co-worker 's contact information. 5 calls placed to my direct line at work on XXXX XXXX, 3 calls placed to my cell phone on the same day. Very aggressive collection practices and disclosure of my personal information in regards to my debt.

Sometime in 2015 a company representing itself as Nationwide Debt Management Solutions began leaving messages on our home phone saying we needed to contact them about an unpaid debt. Suspecting it was a scam, we ignored it. Now they 're leaving messages on the cellphones of my XXXX sons, compounding the harassment. I have refused to call them to discuss anything because if my wife and I owed an unpaid debt, I 'm sure we would have heard about it from the creditor, which we have not. I would like to know if this operation is a legitimate debt collection agency, or if it 's a hustle preying on weak and uninformed citizens. The call-back number they leave is XXXX.

A caller from debt management solutions called and left a voicemal for me at my place of work. I called back and they said they were looking for a person -- NOT me and not even my name. They told me the birthdate of the person they were looking for and it was NOT my birthdate. The phone number they called from was XXXX. A woman named XXXX was extremely rude and aggressive and told me that I was lying. I am DEFINITELY NOT the person they are looking for. I have no debt at all. I need for them to stop calling me. Although it was only once, they harassed me at my place of work with this embarrassing phone call that WAS N'T EVEN FOR ME.

I sold a car ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) back in 2015 for parts and got signed release of reliability form signed and turned into the DMV. The car was supposedly towed last year and the towing yard handed the debt that was owed onto an agency ( Nationwide Debt Management Solutions , LLC ) and said agency has been repeatedly calling and harassing my family. I do not answer phone numbers I do not recognize, so I do n't have a first account on the actions these people have done but they have been calling my family repeatedly after telling them to stop. They have threatened to call police, take me to court, and also threatened my parents.

A debt collection company named Nationwide Debt Management Solutions is contacting me regarding a debt with XXXX. I 've asked this company to send me the information in writing to my home address. A representative by the name of " XXXX '' states they 've sent the letter previously and it 's not their fault if I did n't get it and that they refuse to send me another letter in writing. Also, I 've received a call from family members stating this company is trying to reach me on several other phone numbers, XXXX and XXXX. These calls have to stop. They 've been instructed that they should not be contacting any other numbers.

Nationwide Debt Management Solutions ( Rep. XXXX ) contacted my job and spoke to A Supervisor about a personal debt I owed and proceeded to insult my Supervisor as she was the one who owed the debt accused my Supervisor of covering for me and told her she was n't professional for doing so and preceded to ask to speak to the Manager about my personal circumstances. Ask the supervisor for my personal information. My supervisor explained she was n't able to give out associates personal information and she kept insulting her and kept harassing my dept. supervisor for a total of 10 to 15 minutes.

After wasting several minutes avioding telling me who he works for, he finally told me he was calling from debt management and even though I told him he had the wrong number, he assured me that he was going to keep calling and harassing me. I fully paid the loan and XXXX continued to try to collect more money. They have now sold my information to Nationwide Debt Management Solutions. I advised NDMS that I had paid the loan ( {$3000.00} for an {$800.00} loan before I closed my account ) and not to call me. They are calling me at work and I am going to lose my job if they do not stop. Today they faxed over and employment verification with my social security number on it to a fax machine that everyone in the entire company has access to.
