I do not think I ever took a loan from these people. XXXX XXXX is apparently where i obtained the loan, though i do not recognize this, and I am being hounded by a company called National Principle Group, They say I took the loan in XXXX, they say I made payments from XXXX to XXXX of XXXX. They say I borrowed XXXX but owe XXXX. I have taken loans from Pay day people, ( I admit it sadly ) I have ALWAYS PAID them back and in fact have not used XXXX for several years now. These people are harassing me at work and on my cell. I have told them I contacted my attorney General 's office, that I will pay if, I in fact owe it, and have requested that they send me the information in writing, through the mail. They will not, usually yelling at me telling me they 'DONT HAVE TO DO THAT '' they want to send me an email, ( but the email they have for me is no longer good, I have NO, and will NOT give them my new one ) They do have at least the last XXXX digits of my SS # and my bank account, as well as my home address, and both cell and work phone numbers ( obviously ) they will not give me the information on the account they say I have, not the account number or anything. They said they would take a settlement of XXXX if I paid right away. I have not. i can block them from my cell, but i ca n't stop them from calling my work, how can i do this before i get fired!!! if i owe it, i will pay it. My question is why wo n't they send it to me in writing if it is legitimate? i have not moved, nor changed jobs since the date of the so called debt, if i did owe this money i ca n't believe that i have not received one thing in writing or before this time from 6 years ago.

The first person i talked to was not bad, firm, but not mean, the XXXX and XXXX ( i no longer take the calls if i can help it ) were both harassing, yelling, threatening, talking fast, never letting me say anything just yelling, " admit you owe it, admit you wont pay it, we will take further action '', when i ask for it in writing they yell they do n't have to, they will send it in an email and i can print it, but when i told the Atty Gen, they said they will send the email but it wo n't contain any information and that they HAVE to send it by mail, which a legitimate collection co would do. it 's getting meaner and more harassing with each call and i will admit to being scared.

I am an XXXX for a debt collections law firm, I know the FDCPA and FCRA to a T. This company has called my brother who is XXXX, my father, my sister, my mother and myself. The first time they ever contacted me was XXXX XXXX. I was told the debt originated in XXXX iao {$600.00} through a payday loan online service. I have never taken out a payday loan in my life. And in XXXX, I was XXXX. I think I would 've remembered {$600.00} dropping into my account. They stated that they did n't have to send me validation because they are a 'mediation ' company and that they were going to pursue suit for the debt. My father LITERALLY had to call and harass them over and over for 2 hours before they agreed to take our numbers out of their system, because the collector told him he would n't stop calling us and that he did n't have to stop! And not before they cursed him out calling him an XXXX among other things. I have n't received any calls until today - XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I received a voicemail from XXXX, threatening to call any other references I may have provided so I called back not knowing it was the same company. Today, the story was that the debt originated in XXXX at an in store payday loan provider ( I would 've been XXXX ) and it is for {$300.00} from an in store payday loan provider company called XXXX XXXX. I have not received validation, and if this debt is valid, I will file a police report for fraud. However, if this harassment continues I will get an attorney - XXXX. I spoke with XXXX today, and they did not verify any information ( which is required for consumer protection ) and GAVE ME MY OWN SSN! I have googled the number and the situation, and many others have deemed this as a scam. I want them stopped TODAY!! I have never received any phone calls from so called XXXX XXXX XXXX advising I had this debt, never received letters - if they 're so great at locating my entire family you 'd think I would 've received one phone call? Funny how that works. When XXXX realized I knew what I was talking about, he immediately said he 'd put a hold on the account and that I would n't receive any more phone calls. If this debt is valid they 're going to have to sue me to get their money because I 'll get that dropped and file a counterclaim against them for violation of the FDCPA and they 'll have to pay me 10X more than the mere {$300.00} they say I owe. I do not owe this debt - and this is a scam. Good luck NP Group, not getting one over one me.

I was contacted by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX. He claimed to be a process server engaged by LPS. He said that I needed to call them ASAP or he would serve me papers. XXXX also called my parents at their home. He was calling from a blocked number, but gave me the number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to contact LPS. I called the number and found out that LPS is Lakefront Processing Solutions. They said that I owed {$450.00} on a payday loan taken out with XXXX XXXX XXXX on or about XX/XX/XXXX that I ned repaid. This sounded incorrect to me, but I gave them a credit card number that I knew would let me dispute the charge and paid the balance with the intention of doing more research when I got home that evening. When I looked into the payday loan, I verified that I did not take a payday loan out and that XXXX XXXX XXXX was most likely not a real company. I called LPS back to discuss and was placed on hold and sent to various voicemail inboxes. Eventually, after several calls from me, they gave me the phone number for XXXX XXXX XXXX. They mailed me a debt verification form ( attached ), but it provided no additional information was very vague. It was also a basic word document form. I disputed the charge with my credit card, changed my card number, and received my money back. On XXXX at XXXX I received a call from XXXX XXXX stating that he had received my file again and would serve me papers in XXXX minutes if I did not resolve the issue with LPS. I called LPS and spoke with XXXX XXXX. I asked for the bank account number that payments had been attempted from and was given the last XXXX digits of XXXX. This is not my bank account nor has it ever been my bank account. I also checked my bank account to make sure that there were no charges coming in or out from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Nothing. No payday loans at all. I am not sure if this is a legitimate debt collector seeking payment for a fraudulent debt or a fraudulent debt collector. Either way I am sure that I do not owe this money and will dispute this debt. LPS has an old address for me, as well as my social security number and former employer 's information.

Several of my family was notified that I had an outstanding loan from a Pay Day Lender. I never received or applied for. The name of the collection agency is National Principal. The phone # for them is XXXX. The address is XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, NY. XXXX. The origionating loan supposedly came from XXXX XXXX. They claim that this loan was deposited to my bank acct. in XXXX. However, that acct. has been closed for 9 years. They called all of my family clearly stating that I was in legal trouble and to have me call them immediately to settle this matter before arrest. This loan was never applied for or taken by me. I spoke w/ my credit union and they have NO transactions in my name from either XXXX XXXX or National Principal. Incidently, they used my husbands SS #, my closed bank acct. and My 3 year old email address ( which was hacked and has been closed for 2 years ) to say it was me who took out this loan. They harassed my family, left threatening phone calls and threatened me w/ arrest. They offered to settle the acct. for {$500.00}. Fortunetly I did some research first. National Principal was so threatening I believe that someone may pay them just to get rid of their terrible harrassement. DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE. They are experts at getting your information, such as family phone # 's, SS #, bank accts. etc ... give them NO information! I am reporting this activity because we were led to believe that perhaps someone in our family had deceived us and taken out a loan in our name. NOT true. It caused a lot of stress and worry. It is a fraud and our XXXX XXXX was wonderful in helping us sort out this mess. Please, someone check into this and stop these people from harming more families.
Finally, we never received a loan or monies of any type. It was stated by their " associate '' that the money was deposited and withdrawn from our acct. Our credit union proved to us that this did not happen. We at no time received a dime from this or anyother Pay Day Loan company through our XXXX XXXX.

I was contacted by phone from the NP Group ( XXXX & XXXX ) asking to speak to XXXX, ( my daughter ). They claimed they were collecting a debt against XXXX. I said I knew nothing about it. This is a intrusion of privacy, I am on the National do not call list and yet they call. I do not know how they got my number. My daughter contacted XXXX XXXX and they validated the fact that she did not owe anything and that this is a scam. XXXX lives in Tennessee and is filing a claim with the state there for the same reason. If you check on line you will see that this company has a long record of this type of behavior and bad business practice. What can be done to protect our citizens against this type of business practice?
This is a continuation of my claim dated XXXX/XXXX/2016 that I submitted. On XXXX XXXX received a call from a company called XXXX ( XXXX ) that threatened her with the filing of a formal complaint against her for bank fraud and collection of a delinquent debt. She tried to get information on the company but they hung up on her. At XXXX I was contacted and asked to call XXXX regarding the whereabouts of XXXX, I called them but they would not provide me any information about their company, they proceeded to hang up on me. At XXXX today my son ( XXXX ) received the same call, he did not respond. At XXXX our home received the same call ( and I have it on my voice recorder ) and we did not respond. XXXX contacted the FTC and filed a like complaint ( ref # XXXX ). If you check on line you can confirm that the phone numbers they are calling from are real and are being used by scammers. What ca n be done to protect our citizens against this type of fraudulent business practices? We will help in any way we can.
I am attaching the formal complaints that we have filed with the State of Minnesota along with what their coarse of action is. These provide more information than I typed in this box.

I received phone message from company looking for me with maiden name. I tried calling the company back and phone rang and rang for over 10 minutes with no answer or company voicemail. I called the next day and spoke with a woman from the company. She claims she represents a debt collection company ( NPGLLC ) and they are trying to reclaim a loan that was taken out in XXXX under the name " XXXX XXXX '' ( I was legally married XXXX and my name was legally changed in XXXX ). The woman states loan was deposited to XXXX checking account ending in XXXX by a company called XXXX XXXX. They also claimed I worked for a previous employer at the time of the loan. When I asked the woman to speak more slowly as I was trying to write down what she was saying, the woman became flustered and rude. The company claims that I took a loan out for {$300.00} and now the balance is {$710.00} but if I paid today it would be settled for {$400.00}. I told the woman I felt that I was being scammed and that I was disputing this claim and that I needed to contact the proper authorities. I asked her if this claim was valid, why has it never shown on my credit report and she claimed that it was because small amounts from payday loans do not reflect on a persons credit report. I know for a fact this is false. She told me that if I did n't pay now I 'd lose the opportunity to save the additional money for repayment. I asked for all documentation regarding this claim and she would not mail it to my home, but only would email it to me. ( see attached ). I called XXXX bank, they confirm I did have a checking account ending in that number, but that account was closed XXXX so it could not have been used. NPGLLC has called my husband and father in law and left them threatening messages. I have confirmed with the FCC that this is indeed a known scam and I wish to file a formal claim.

I started receiving calls from the number around XXXX XXXX. There would be a human speaking and then they would pause and a robot voice would say my name. They claimed to be collecting a debt or carrying out a " business matter '' with me. After my father and brother receiving calls about this I decided I should call. I called only to be berated and attacked when I would call. I would ask for their name, company name, address, and a license number which depending who I talked to said I had to confirm my information first. I finally was given an address of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX. I looked up the address to find nothing of the sort existed. The person I was speaking to after yelling over me for several minutes said he would put in my file that they would not contact me, but that they would continue to contact my family. I asked if I could speak to someone and he transferred me to a " QA Department '' which was just a voicemail box it seemed. I called back and asked to speak to a person rather than a machine and he began yelling again and then threatened to file harassment charges if I did n't stop calling and hung up. About 15 minutes later a " supervisor '' called me and said he was there to help since I was n't satisfied with the service. I asked for him for an address ... .he stumbled around for several seconds as I could hear a voice similar to who I was on the phone with before saying the fictional address. He said his monitor was broke and then stumbled through the rest. Finally he said the zip code and then said " oh actually it is ... '' and changed it to something completely different. I told him I would like to be removed from being called along with my family and he informed me in an irritated tone that I would be by close of business and any legal action that could be pursued would be pursued and hung up.

I received a call from a " server '' by the name of XXXX XXXX, who contacted me via an unlisted number, stating that he had papers to serve me regarding a payday loan that I supposedly received through an old bank account in 2011. He then provided me with a number to contact the collection agency in charge of the claim to settle the debt. The number provided was XXXX and it led me to a company called Lakefront Processing Solutions, a collection firm in New York. I spoke with a man by the name of XXXX XXXX who went on to explain that I owed some payday company the sum of {$600.00} dollars for defaulting on a loan that I never actually signed for and that I was to be charged with fraud and breach of trust ( He spoke so quickly that I could n't understand half of what he was saying ). I never received any documentation regarding these supposed charges nor any papers regarding the loan in question. All he did was threaten me with legal action if I did not pay him the settlement amount of {$400.00} dollars over the phone. Like a fool, I gave in to the pressure and fear of legal action and paid the balance. He then told me that if I had any further questions I could contact him or their parent company, National Principle Group ( Which does n't seem to exist, as their website is nowhere to be found ), and informed me that no further action would be taken. This is the XXXX time something like this has happened to me and it needs to stop. The practices these people use are illicit and abusive, and people need to understand that they have their rights concerning matters such as this. I wish I had understood that prior to this transgression, but you live and you learn. I 'm not wholly concerned with getting my money back ; I just want to do my part in ensuring that people like this ca n't prey on the fear of honest people.

This company has been calling my sister repeatedly for a couple of weeks now and leaving messages stating they are trying to locate me and that I used her as a reference. They have since been calling other family members as well as my own cell phone & house phone multiple times a day. I have called them to find out who they are, but can not get anywhere because I will not provide my personal information to verify myself as I do not know why they are or what company they are representing. I understand all of this and requested that they then mail this information to the address that they have on file as I do not believe I owe anyone money and they have refused to do so stating that I have probably moved. I have not moved in over 7 years and informed them of this and yet they still refuse to do anything. So now I am at a stand still. Myself and my family are being harassed with phone calls multiple times a day and I can get nowhere with this because I will not provide my personal information to a company I know nothing about as I do not even know if this is a scam! All I am asking is for the phone calls to stop & for something to be mailed to me providing proof of whatever debt they say I owe then I will be completely willing to talk to them about it and prove my identity. They keep saying they are calling my " references '' I have never used references for anything. I have never had a car loan or any other type of loan or any other debt that would require me to have references so I find this very hard to believe as well. Not to mention my last name has not been what they are calling me for the past 5 almost 6 years and my sister was only XXXX at that time so I most definitely would not have been using her as a reference even if I had to have one.

National Principal Group has contacted family members more than once, although they have admitted to me on a " recorded call '' ( their words ) that they can only call a family member once. They have contacted them in order to try and get me to pay for a single loan that I supposedly took out XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I said that is n't possible because I have n't taken any loans XX/XX/XXXX. They said it 's likely a payday loan. I asked for them to send the verification of debt to me so I could look at it myself, and they said they only have the name of the original creditor, no other information such as loan documents to prove that I took a debt for anything. XXXX XXXX XXXX is not on my credit report as a debt that I 've ever received. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received the documents of the supposed debt that I owe, except they 've included XXXX other debts that they did not mention in the phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. Very strange. They also sent these via email and not via mail. So far I 've received no original documents explaining the loan that I took out, and the " original amount '' on the document they sent is different than what they told me over the phone. Luckily their phone calls are " recorded for quality '' as they told me. Another interesting tidbit is they claim that they can call my family members and friends as much as they want if I do n't pay the debt and my family does n't issue a cease and desist letter. This is actually a violation of the law as well, one relative has both of their voice mails from consecutive days, and again luckily National Principal Group records these calls for " quality ''. One call to a family member is all that they are allowed, and within two days they 've called the same person twice.

NPG National Principal Group XXXX has been calling my cell phone several times a day leaving screaming messages, threatening to use any means necessary to find a family member of mine. They use a recording to state the family member name they are looking for but the rest of the message is live. They state I need to call them right now and provide them the information they seek regarding this family member or they will continue to use any means necessary to locate this person. I called them, a woman answered when I asked for her name and her company name because she just picked up the phone with " hello '' she began screaming at me wanting me to give her my cell phone number. I told her I was n't giving any information until I knew who she was and what company. She said XXXX and NPG. I asked what NPG stood for and she screamed at me stating I needed to allow her to assist me by giving her the information she asked for or she would disconnect. She stated I better let her assist me or she was disconnecting then counted to XXXX and hung up. I called back she answered again. I told her she could tell me what her company name was and why she would be looking for a family member or I would not help her. She then said she could not tell me the " plethora '' of things her company did. I asked what NPG stood for and she finally gave me National Principal Group. I again asked why they would be calling me about a family member. She stated she could n't tell me that until I gave her the family member name or my cell phone. I told her I ca n't give her anything until she tells me what her company does, she again refused to tell me what her company does. I said well then I ca n't help you with the information you seek from me and I hung up.

NP Group first contacted me, on a cellular phone # which has been mine for around 8 years, about a debt, which was not mine, on XX/XX/2017 at XXXX by robocaller, I spoke to their representative, informing them that I had no knowledge of the XXXX XXXX they were seeking and asked to be removed from their system. Calls followed the next day, where I again stated i did not know this person, and a third time, where I was accused of lying about having spoken to them the two previous days and when I told them to remove me was told by their representative that he was " not there to take orders ''. The first call was well within their legal rights, but the next two days of calls were in direct violation of both the FDCPA and the TCPA, as they had no business relationship with myself, and when I tried to get information on their company the first several times I was hung up on, before finally getting someone who gave me their address and calling back a separate number to complain. Since getting this number I have received periodic obnoxious calls, both for the XXXX XXXX they were trying to contact and a XXXX XXXX, neither of whom i have ever met, seemingly never having my cellular number removed from the debts and getting brand new harassment every time the debt is sold for a new round of collection attempts. I recognize that there is no legal recourse to have my number permanently removed from the debt documents, but after establishing that I was not the debt holder on the first call all subsequent communications should have ended, in subsequent calls their use of a robocaller for someone with whom they have no business relationship is a direct violation of the TCPA.

On Thursday XXXX XXXX, my mother, sister in law. my ex-mother in law and my ex-mother and laws mother ... .. all received calls from a company called NP group. They were calling to trace and locate me. The message left reads as such ... " This message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for XXXX It is important that we speak to you regarding their whereabouts. If we can not verify this information through you. The law allows us to contact all references on file, dial XXXX not to speak to a representative or call XXXX. If you are unable to provide any information concerning the whereabouts. Please call the office regardless at XXXX. Your immediate response is appreciated. '' I have not outstanding debts with anyone and have on several occasions contacted the FTC on loans I do not owe. I would like this company to stop calling me and any of my relatives current or past. They do not have the right to harass these people or myself on a debt that does not exist. They have since called several more times to these same people. I have called more than once to get this resolved. I called the first time and it went to a machine and asked for my name and number and they would call back. The second time the phone just rung over and over with no pick up. The 3rd time it put me on hold and then to dead air. The last time the representative wanted to confirm my Social Security number where at that time I declined to give her that information and so she said she was n't going to do anything unless she knew I was the right person and hung up.

For months now, I have been harassed by NP Group ( aka National Principal Group, XXXX XXXX XXXX NP ). They claim that I have an outstanding Payday loan which I do not have. More than a month back, after weeks of them calling me repeatedly throughout the day, I requested they send me proof of this alleged debt as I do not have an outstanding payday loan, which they did not do. Their harassment ceased for a few weeks after, though has resumed today. I returned their phone call and in trying to get the necessary information to file a formal complaint, the representative continued to hang up on me. I attempted several more times and upon one attempt, was being told that I would be transferred to their Consumer Affairs department and then was promptly hung up on again. In calling again to demand that they stop harassing me, their representative told me that he was " Not going to argue '' and that I should " Expect calls to continue '', and then proceeded once more to hang up on me.
Today, I have filed complaints with the FTC and the XXXX. If the harassment continues, I will seek legal action. I will not be bullied into paying a false debt, nor will I tolerate being harassed by a company that refuses to offer any necessary information to prove their credibility.
I can not attach any documents because the company has failed to provide me with any documentation on this alleged debt.

A company by the name of NP Group, supposedly out of New York keeps contacting me and my family member saying I have XXXX unpaid pay day loans which I did not apply for. They say I owed around {$1200.00} originally and then I asked for documentation. I was then told they are a paperless company but they will email me documentation of the debt. I got an email with XXXX PDF files of some of the most unprofessionally put together statements of debt that which added up to be over {$300.00} than the original amount. I was then followed up with another phone call with them stating that I had said I wanted to settle, which I did not. I then asked how do I know this is not a scam and the girl got extremely rude and said that she had sent the documentation proving it was not a scam and if I did not settle that the phone calls would continue and will not stop. She called again the next day and I told her that I was reporting them and was not going to pay them anything and she said ok sir the well we will continue to call until it is settled and then she hung up on me. Ironically less than 1 hour after I was hung up on I started getting emails and phone calls saying I have been approved for the loans I applied for. So far I have contacted XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. All of which said there were loans applied for with my name and email address.

I have received numerous calls regarding this from this company. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I called the number left on the recorder back at XXXX and spoke to a female that had information on me, I had not provided stating, I took a loan with XXXX in XXXX and was deposited in a XXXX XXXX XXXX and stated notes state, I had financial hardships on the account. To this day, I am experiencing financial hardships, currently not working and on Food Stamps and State assistance in the State of California. This company even contacted and harrassed my sister calling her on her cell phone numerous times trying to locate me. Note my sister has never been associated with any loan documents ever. Note, my car was broken into and all my records regarding this loan where stolen in the car theft. I have a police report to show proof. I feel National Principal Group is a predatory Bill Collection company that uses scare tactics and intimidation techniques to scare people into settling debt. This company needs to be educated in the Fair Debt Collection practices in the United States and these rogue collectors need to be reeducated.

I, my friends, my family, and my employer have all received multiple phone calls from an agency, purportedly to collect a debt. When describing the ways in which these collectors have violated the FDCPA, I had XXXX or XXXX different options from which to choose. These people have refused to verify any debt. They have refused to disclose from what agency they are calling. They have called my employer repeatedly, after the human resources manager hung up on them, in an attempt to block the line. They have called my employer threatening to serve me with papers, and asking how they can contact me. They have used false court filing numbers ( such as case numbers, etc ), as though a debt had been litigated already. They have used generally abusive language, have been harassing, and have used false telephone numbers, spoofing the number of my local court house, to convince me that they were calling from a governmental agency. In their latest attempt to contact me, they inadvertantly left a name of their agency which I could then research online. I have since submitted a complaint in writing to them, requesting they cease all telephonic communications with me. If they violate this request, I have informed them I will take further legal action.

This company is calling my ex husband leaving rude threatening voice mails claiming to be looking for my whereabouts, saying that if someone does n't respond there will be legal action and they will continue to call until someone answers. That they will continue to go through a list of contacts of known associates until I contact them. When I called the phone number a woman answered the phone, she never stated what company it was when she answered so I asked what was the name of the company she told me it was NP Group. I then asked what kind of company this was ; were they a bill collector, she was immediately defensive told me it was an investigation company. I then asked the type of investigation the company did, her reply was HIGH RISK. I asked high risk for what, she then asked for the number that was called so she could tell me what dept. so I could be routed. I told her no thanks and she stated we wont stop calling you its going to continue and then hung up on me. I have not received any calls or letters regarding any past due monies owed. This company and employee I encountered is completely unprofessional and is harassing my family. If they want to contact me they can send a certified letter.

My husband received a call from XXXX. I then called the number myself and spoke with someone named XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. He said he was attempting to collect a debt for a pay day loan that was given to me on XXXX XXXX, XXXX by XXXX. I told him that I never did that and he then read off my SSN and an old address I had not lived at since XXXX. I asked him to show me verification that I owed this money and he said that mailing me something would n't make a difference. I told him that I did not owe any money and he said over & over again that it did n't matter what I thought, I was legally liable for {$620.00} whether I thought I owed it or not and the only way I was not legally liable for it would be if I could show proof that my identity was stolen and to give them the name of the person who stole my identity. He asked if I planned on resolving the claim and I told him that without him showing me any documentation that I believed this was a scam & then hung up.
I checked all three credit reports and neither the loan or debt collection is on my report. I filed an identity theft complaint with the FTC and I was also encourage by my lawyer to file a complaint here.

I received XXXX calls from a person naming herself XXXX XXXX : She stated in the message that legal claim was filed against me and that I should call XXXX for more information. I started receiving calls that were a recording saying they were a trace service trying to get in touch with me. They started calling my brother 's house also. I talked to a company called NPG and they said they are a collection service for my original creditor, XXXX XXXX XXXX. They told me that I received a {$500.00} payday loan back on XXXX/XXXX/12 and I have not paid. I told them that was not me and that I did not get a loan. They told me then it was someone close to me who used my information to get the loan and that it belong to me and I had to pay. I told them to send me a contract showing where I signed for the money. They sent me their paperwork on their letterhead stating I owed them {$510.00}. The letterhead states " NP Group '' but the first sentence of that " demand letter '' says a company called " XXXX XXXX '' has purchased my account and placed it with NP Group. I did n't apply for this loan, did n't get this loan and I 'm not paying for this. They said they tried to get money out of my checking account but were n't successful so they are demanding I pay over the phone. They are harassing me and my brother 's family and it has to stop.

NP Group has been calling my phone and leaving threatening voicemails. I only know that they are a debt collector from my online searches. The message says that this is a location and tracing effort on the whereabouts 'my name ' with the last four digits of my SS #. They said that they are allowed under law to contact all references in my file including friends and family. This company has called me since the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX, and continually states on the phone that they are not required to prove that my husband owes the debt. They say, " you have to prove that you don't owe it. '' I have continuously asked for proof of this debt and in writing. I do not know how they got my phone number. Company has called and harassed family members after being asked to dispute the claim for validity and after telling me that they would no longer contact me or my family members. Stating the company owning the debt would call after it was sent back. The company then proceeded to call family and tell them they were trying to get a hold of me for passing bad checks. I continually get harrassing phone calls from a company called the NP group, and the phone numbers they call me from are phone number associated with companies who are on the FTC 's banned list. They claim that I took out a payday loan in 2011, which I did not. I have never taken out a payday loan in my life. They tell me that there are charges going to be filed against me and my husband for fraud and that if we do not pay them, they are going to have police officers show up at my house or my place of employment. They also call numerous family members and leave messages of this nature on their answering machines. I have several of the messages saved to my cellphone that they have left. I have asked them numerous times to stop contacting me by phone, and that if they believe it is truly a valid debt, to send me paperwork in the mail to substantiate that. I have gotten 2 collection calls from the NP group saying that I took out payday loans. I do n't remember getting payday loans. I got an ominous sounding message on my home phone on Tuesday, XXXX XXXX, and I called back 5 minutes later. The person I spoke with would not give me the address of their company initially so I could send a cease and desist letter. Eventually they gave me the address but I 'm not sure it 's correct. Today they called my neighbor who I do n't know and she came to my door and said this number is leaving a message for you saying they are taking legal actions against you and they will arrest you and I do n't even know our neighbor, not sure why they called her she has no connection to me except we live in the same building.

I took out a payday loan in XXXX which was paid in full. Now, 11 years later I have a company contacting me constantly stating that I never paid the debt and that they are going to sue me. XXXX with National Principal Group keeps leaving threatening voice mail messages, and harassing phone calls to my job about an alleged payday loan I supposedly took out in 2004. I have NEVER EVER took out a payday loan. They are threatening me with arrest if I do n't pay. These tactics are illegal under the Fair Debt Reporting & Collections Act.

I received a message on my voicemail that this company was " tracking '' me urgently. They stated since they left me that message they were legally allowed to contact any and all parties associated to me.
That same day my dad and a family friend started receiving multiple calls of this company attempting to urgently track my whereabouts.
