I received a phone call in XXXX stating that I owe an outstanding balance for the XXXX. I informed the rep at that time, that I should not be receiving a call from them as I am paying my balance via online through my student account-so I disputed the validity of this debt. Then, I was informed they were collecting for the XXXX as well-after I made this statement. I disputed any debt with them. Informed the rep the account was resolved, paid off and have a letter from the XXXX XXXX XXXX in Texas and Trustee-would forward upon receiving verification of debt. Also told her that the XXXX account has been settled over 4 years now.To this date, I have not received anything. What they did was wait and call back, XXXX XXXX, 2015, and state that I owe {$9000.00} plus in debt to the XXXX. The guy rep stated that I owed this amount 'solely ' to the XXXX . I informed him that I had just pulled up my student account for the university and it shows a balance of {$1600.00} of which I am making payments ( XXXX fabrication ) ; I also informed him that I have not received any verification that I owe this debt and moreover that I told them in XXXX send proof. Additionally, I told him I was on a full academic scholarship for the XXXX and it was simply impossible for me to owe them this amount of funds, considering they paid me to attend graduate school. I asked him at this point to tell me how many accounts is he looking at, or maybe he needed to verify with the XXXX.This is when he informed me that I actually have XXXX accounts with them. I stated how? He then proceeded to state that they are collecting for the XXXX & the XXXX. I told him again, " No ... I have disputed both these accounts and to this date, have not received any information from them regarding either debt ( XXXX fabrication-as he stated they have mailed out something. ) He stated he was reading notes that I was suppose to send this information in, so he agreed from his own statements that I disputed this validity back in XXXX. I then stated if I had an address or if they would have sent verification they would have it. They have not. I also told him this company could not try and join these alleged debts together as the XXXX and the XXXX are XXXX separate entities and XXXX has nothing to do with the other. His response was they could because the alleged debts fall under the same social security number. I became livid and told him his statement was redundant and incorrect, moreover a lie and they were trying to mislead me into thinking I only owed the XXXX but they are trying to collect both debts ( of which I do not owe ) on a single account and lying about it. They can not try and collect these XXXX together and if this matter appeared on my credit report I would be filing suit against this company. This company has did nothing but regurgitate false statements and representation in this matter to me for the XXXX time. Additionally, they have not provided disclosure of verification of the debts. I asked over 3 months ago to receive and have not, I also informed him that I wanted this information mailed to me as to have proof and a paper trail. He stated they only need a number and name of attorney. Why would they not want the proof in hard form? I asked him over XXXX times within the conversation to provide this documentation to me. His only response was if I could provide my attorneys name and that I did not need to mail anything. I told him, No I will to have proof on my end and to ensure they could not fabricate another issue. I also told him under FCRA rules what they are attempting to do is illegal and I would be sending a letter to the company and submitting a complaint to the proper authorities regarding their actions.

I am today submitting a complaint as XXXX XXXX XXXX and NTL CREDIT MGMT violated the FCRA by attempting to collect unvalidated debt in the amount of {$5000.00} and reporting falsehoods to the credit reporting agencies. The credit reporting agencies, due to inadequate debt validation techniques, are reporting the debt and destroying my reputation and ability to maintain credit and employment. Here are the details of the matter, as submitted to the CRAs : Regarding the collection account reported by NTL CREDIT MGMT, I provide this note with additional clarification of the matter at hand. The original creditor was allegedly XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had previously disputed my balance with XXXX XXXX XXXX on various occasions. Nonetheless, the University continued to ignore my requests for account review. Instead, the organization used predatory credit reporting practices to force me into paying a balance that is NOT due and remains in dispute. By continuing to report this inaccurate debt, credit reporting agencies are quickly becoming accomplices of XXXX XXXX XXXX and NTL CREDIT MGMT in violation of the FCRA, 15 U.S. Code 1692. With this note to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, as I also submitted to the CRAs, I am submitting further documentation validating that this account was in dispute with XXXX XXXX XXXX and even confirmed via receipt by the original creditor on XX/XX/2022. This documentation ( See attached letter ) proves that in accordance with the FCRA, 15 U.S. Code 1692, the consumer notified the debt collector and the original creditor that I disputed the validity of the debt. At this point, the debt collector and original creditor are obligated under law to submit a valid investigation of this matter. At the conclusion of such an investigation, the consumer must be notified of the decision made regarding the investigation. Despite consumer notification in accordance with this section of the law, the debt collector continued and intensified debt collection efforts in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and did not conduct nor provide evidence of conducting any investigation into the matter, even though XXXX acknowledged receipt of my complaint. The credit reporting agencies should conduct a fair investigation into the validity of this debt, which would reasonably include remarks from NTL CREDIT MGMT and XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding how they responded to my VALIDATED dispute of this debt. Upon inspection, any reasonable person investigating this matter shall conclude that despite the law-abiding consumer disputed debts ( as per section B of 15 U.S. Code 1692 and proof provided herewithin ), XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and NTL CREDIT MGMT became co-conspirators violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX expect their creditors to act with honesty and integrity when submitting a delinquent account to the company. Credit Reporting Agencies were never intended to be arbitrators of law, but rather should be used to report accurate late payments by consumers. In the case at hand, there is no validated debt to report. Nonetheless, because XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX take the approach of " guilty until proven innocent '', they weigh the word of the creditor over the word of the consumer in these matters. My complaint today is against XXXX XXXX XXXX ( as alleged original creditor ), NTL CREDIT MGMT as debt collector, and XXXX as CRA that failed to conduct a valid investigation into the matter. I look forward to learning about how you can assist me with this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

I enrolled in the XXXX XXXX Program at the University of XXXX XXXX XXXX for the Spring XX/XX/XXXX semester and Summer XX/XX/XXXX semester. For each quarter, I enrolled in one class. The tuition and fees for the Spring XX/XX/XXXX semester totaled {$5100.00}. The tuition and fees for the SummerXX/XX/XXXX semester totaled {$5000.00}. I received a partial scholarship of {$1500.00} for each semester. Consequently, the outstanding net balance for both semesters was {$7100.00} ( {$10000.00} tuition less {$3000.00} scholarship awards ). As of XX/XX/XXXX, I paid {$3600.00} toward that balance, for a remaining balance of {$3400.00}. Because I was delinquent in paying that balance, I entered into a payment plan with the University. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the date of my last installment payment, I had paid an additional {$1500.00}, leaving a net outstanding balance of {$1900.00}. I then noticed that the University had been adding fees and late fees equal to {$600.00} to my balance for the Fall XX/XX/XXXX and Winter XX/XX/XXXX semesters -- semesters for which I was not enrolled. Additionally, it had allocated {$300.00} in payments I had previously made to these fees and late fees. The University subsequently assigned my account to a collection agency called National Credit Management, or NCM. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection notice from NCM. The notice demanded payment of what it called a past due balance of {$2800.00}. The notice provided that I was entitled to dispute the debt by registering with a website operated by NCM. I did so on XX/XX/XXXX, via email to an individual named XXXX XXXX. In that email, I disputed both the amount demanded by NCM, as well as the actual net amount I owed to the University. In this respect, I disputed the {$300.00} in fees that the University had already allocated from my payments to semesters for which I was not enrolled, as well as late fees totaling {$300.00} that it had assessed with respect to those semesters. Accordingly, I informed NCM that I wished to resolve the debt, but only in the amount of {$1300.00}, which reflected the actual outstanding balance on tuition and fees attributable to semesters that I attended the University less the {$300.00} in fees I already paid and {$300.00} in late fees assessed for semesters I did not attend the University. I also informed NCM that I wished to pay the actual debt and bring the matter to resolution. I also informed NCM that it no event should it allocate any payments I make to it for any fees attributable to any past, present or future semesters for which I did not attend the University. I am eager to pay the actual debt and resolve this matter. However, I refuse to pay any improper fees. I have attached documentation evidencing the information above. XXXX XXXX

To whom it may concern, I have been made aware that a credit charge has been placed on my national credit report by XXXX XXXX University and it has been made fraudulently. I have had this discussion with their school officials and Ive told them numerous times I was never enrolled at their institution. It was an XXXX advisor who made this decision on her own fruition after she made notes on the account that she couldnt reach me or and still made a conscious effort to vindictively enroll me without my consent. They kept asking me to write a letter stating this and I told them no because its an admission of enrollment and it wouldve protected and absolved the employee from all responsibilities of what she took upon her to do with out my approval and with any consent, fraudulent on behalf from me. I never confirmed enrollment with any representative at XXXX XXXX University. I have spoken to numerous representatives, most of the encounters were unpleasant Kurt and rude, some were deceitful and only a few were understanding and kind .I told them I dont agree with what was done and I think it was a biased and prejudice move and that writing a letter would suggest that I did agree to enrollment, and not one XXXX Representative that I spoke to tried to even correct the matter. This so-called XXXX specialist, documented Im some note taking system that she never spoke with me after our initial conversation of me expressing intention and interests and according to her, as I was quoted by another representative it was like I, ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dropped of the face of the planet, because she never spoke to me or heard from me again. I am a XXXX individual and Im sure she didnt hear from me again is because Im battling a XXXX XXXX XXXX illness. Knowing all of this brother this XXXX specialist or her colleagues could help me resolve this issue. All in all, she still thought it was a great idea and continued to go ahead with the fraudulent enrollment illegally and without my consent. Then, XXXX XXXX had the unmitigated gaul and audacity to turn this over to a collection agency, National Credit Management for {$13.00}, XXXX I have contacted Federal Student Aid, XXXX, US Department of Education, Office of Inspector General and the local news outlets to help me get this resolved for good. I am extremely hurt and disappointed by what XXXX XXXX made a conscious decision to do and also in their lack of understanding in attempts towards resolving this as well. Filing these fraud charges against XXXX XXXX is the only way its going to get permanently resolved, removed and dismissed. I can be reached a XXXX to further discuss how this is going to be resolved and rectified by XXXX and its representatives. Respectfully submitted, XXXX XXXX

This is a follow up complaint response to your recent claim # XXXX. I received your attempt to validate the debt that you are erroneously reporting about me. However, it does not meet any of the requested documentation required to satisfy validation of debt. How does this computer printout prove that this debt belongs to me? It shows nothing but my name, address, and a dollar amount. But I do not see my signature here or any of the other items requested from you. Perhaps I have been the victim of identity theft or fraud. I can certainly create similar documents on my computer, send them to your company and claim that you owe me money. Would that prove anything? You have failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my wet ink signature, showing the account is being reported accurately.Be advised that the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information is hereby requested.Additionally, please provide the name, address, and telephone number of each person who personally verified this alleged account, so that I can inquire about how they verified without providing any proof, bearing my signature. As per FTC opinion letter from Attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX, you should be aware that a printout of a bill or itemized document does not constitute verification. I am again formally requesting a copy of any documents, bearing my signature, showing that I have a legally binding contractual obligation to pay you the alleged amount. Be aware that I am making a final good faith attempt to have you clear up this matter. The listed item is inaccurate and incomplete and represents a very serious error in your reporting. I am maintaining a careful record of my communications with you for the purpose of filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Attorney Generals office, the XXXX XXXX XXXX and the Federal Trade Commission should you continue in your non-compliance of federal laws under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the corresponding local state laws. I further remind you that you may be liable for your willful and negligent non-compliance. Failure on your behalf to provide a copy of any alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature may result in a small claims action against your company. I would be seeking actual damages or a minimum of {$1000.00} in damages per violation for Defamation, Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud, each violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and each violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, whichever is greater and you will be required to appear in a court venue local to me, in order to formally defend yourself.

Hello, My name is XXXX XXXX and I am inquiring about a dispute that I recently put in in regards to a fee that I am being wrongly charged for. This fee is for {$940.00} and I refuse to pay this because I believe this is wrongly charged on my behalf. During the spring semester of 2020, I attended XXXX at XXXX for about 2-3 weeks at MOST ( nowhere near an entire semester or year ) where I experienced XXXX, lack of motivation, and an overall decline in my feeling of sense of belonging on campus. I simply wanted to change my major because I realized I was in the wrong Master 's program, XXXX, and I was given such a hard time from several staff and faculty whom I reached out to in regards to my situation. I had to retell my story over and over which made me relive a discouraging time and also lose motivation as time was ticking through the semester with little to no progress on my request. Consequently, I decided to resign from my position as a student. When I inquired about the process of a leave of absence, I also received poor support and was not pointed in the direction of how to do this in a clear and concise way. After all of this, I realized that it would've been easier to just to pursue my career around what was and is my passion, working with youth to inspire them to be a better version of themselves than to wait after WEEKS had gone by with no progress on SWITCHING MY MAJOR. I was very frustrated with this because I have never " dropped out '' or quit on anything that I have started in my life, but I felt that it was the best decision for my mental health, career, family, and overall well-being. Shortly after, all schools were closed for XXXX which we know was an extremely disheartening time for many, but this showed me again that school on the XXXX 's level maybe just wasn't for me at this time. To fast forward and see now, that this school is charging me for any sort of fees is outrageous to me. I can see the business side of things, however, this is so unethical in my opinion, for me to pay for a service that not only did I not use, but for most importantly, one that did not serve me or satisfy and cover areas that it claimed it would. I am asking with the upmost respect and humility that this charge please be removed from all accounts related to my name. I have submitted two disputes and am now submitting this complaint to show how passionate and frustrated I am about this but also because I believe you all are able to help me with this. I do not want this to hinder or hurt my credit score or my ability to advance in my life, especially when I really did not benefit at all from any of these services.

In XX/XX/XXXX with classes starting in XX/XX/XXXX, I enrolled in XXXX college. I soon after decided to go another route for my career, so I dropped all of my classes. I knew at this point that there would still be some expense, which is understandable and I was prepared to pay for it, no problem. I expected an email, letter, or call, or something regarding my outstanding balance, but I didn't receive anything. I already paid a small sum of money to them after I registered, and since I dropped my classes so early I figured I didn't owe them anything since I never heard from them. A student loan pops up on my credit file in XX/XX/XXXX. Balance owed is {$370.00}, and I set up payments. No issue with this. This account ( XXXX/DEPT OF ED ) is not the problem, just to be clear. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX. I get a notice from a credit monitoring service about a new collections account, and of course dive in right away to investigate since this is completely unexpected. There is a balance of {$1800.00}. I have to XXXX to find what the company name even is since I don't recognize it - NTL CREDIT MGMT. Eventually I find out that it is for school tuition, for the classes that I dropped. Immediately I call the school to figure out what happened, and here it is summarized : Whatever department at the school is responsible for crediting the refund for tuition for dropped classes failed to refund ( or possibly failed to allocate a refund as credit for tuition ), which left it as an unpaid balance on my account and eventually went to collections. Once I informed the school of their error, the billing department/registrar moved the refund to credit the balance owed which is now in collections ( or maybe simply notified the collections agency ). After the {$980.00} credit to the collections agency, there were still some smaller account fees which is no big deal, but there was also a collections charge of something like {$400.00}, I don't remember and can't locate the exact amount, which is a total of {$820.00} still owed, and about half was the collections charge. They update the outstanding balance, but not even the original balance, let alone the collections account itself which I think should be removed. I tried to reason with the school, and the collections agency for about two months before I finally fall back to paying it. I even went as far as requesting an exception from the board of directors and dean at the school, but they didn't do anything to help me.

According to my XXXX XXXX Report, National Credit Managed placed a falsely alleged debt of {$2500.00} on my credit report. I continue to get harassing phone calls daily from fake phone numbers. I can only assume it is National Credit Management. They are in blatant violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. According to the FDCPA I have no legal duty to communicate with, or work with, in any way, a third party debt collector. I REFUSE to work with National Credit Management and DEMAND they cease and desist all future communication with me. This falsely alleged debt is originally from the University XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was a student at the University XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX to XXXX. I did well in my first two years and nearly completed my XXXX. Unfortunately, I signed up for a XXXX XXXX XXXX position. I did not know the XXXX to whom I was assigned, nor did I know or understand the subject matter. The XXXX complained about my alleged poor performance to the Department. I was not notified so that I could respond. I learned of the complaint through a private email from my mentor who stated he had personally recommended me for the position, and that due to the false allegations of poor performance from the XXXX, I had negatively affected his reputation. I suffer from legally defined XXXX under the XXXX, these are XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, etc. I spiraled into XXXX, and dropped all of my on campus courses. I tried to take online courses but the university offered no online courses relevant to the completion of my XXXX. I tried therapy through the Student Counseling Center but was unable to return to regular course work. I dropped all of my courses for MEDICAL REASONS, therefore any falsely alleged tuition SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED. I took my complaint all the way to the Dean of the XXXX XXXX as well as to the XXXX XXXX office. I was ASSURED, that I would NOT BE CHARGED, yet the idiots at the Bursar 's Office sent this bill to collections anyway with massively accrued interest doubling the original falsely alleged amount. If this is not removed from my credit reports immediately, I will file a complaint with every state, municipal and federal anti-discrimination office. I will be forced to take legal action. Going to the University XXXX XXXX XXXX, and even going to college at all, was the worst mistake I've ever made in my life. I hate school, I hate college, and I hat XXXX most of all.

To Whom it May Concern : I am writing you regarding a {$1300.00} collection fee attached to a tuition bill for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for my son _______. My son attended the Vocational Independence Program ( VIP ), a special education transition program for young people with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. He attended XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, when the program was discontinued by XXXX during the pandemic shut down. The tuition for the program was being covered by a program of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). At the end of each month the fiscal intermediary handling my son 's case, XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), would receive an invoice and pay the monthly bill. The collection agency wants to enforce an unjustifiable exorbitant collection fee and slap my XXXX son with a bad credit rating. I have a timeline of email contacts, and supporting documents, from the first contact I received from the bursar in XX/XX/XXXX, through this summer. I have been in constant contact with the collection agency and RCIL attempting to resolve if there was still money in the budget to cover the remaining balance, so that I would know if I needed to pay out of pocket and could settle this matter in a timely fashion. In a typical collegiate situation, the bill is in the students name with the assumption that student is developmentally capable of understanding responsibility and perhaps even the finances as they are attending a degree program. However, it should be noted that this aforementioned program was not a typical college program. It was a program for young people with XXXX, to teach them the necessary skills to be able to live as independently as possible and be productive members of the community. After finally getting word from the fiscal intermediary that they did not have any more funds in his budget to cover the final balance, I did pay off the XXXX tuition remaining in two increments of {$2500.00} in XXXX. My intention was to get this request email to them then, but my son then became sick with XXXX, with my daughter becoming ill just on the heels of his recovery. Students who attend these programs dont have bank accounts or credit cards and are just learning how to handle basic financial transactions. Therefore, I think it is justifiably unfair for my son to be penalized with the bad credit rating. I am contesting the collection fee, as they are well aware of the situation and request it be dropped and my sons name remain clear.

XXXX XXXX XXXX a noticed was received in the mail from a collection agency to my father who has XXXX away. The notice indicated it was issued by the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I owned a vehicle with my father and did attend the XXXX college of XXXX. I contacted the XXXX Police on XXXX XXXX at approximately XXXX and was advised this would be the parking section. At approximately XXXX I was able to talk to a live person, I indicated that I have never received notice of a parking ticket and this was the first time a notice was seen from a collection agency. I was advised they are doing an audit and trying to reclaim unpaid tickets. I was then told that the ticket was left on my window and that they have a photo of this ticket left on XX/XX/XXXX. I advised that the ticket was never received or it would have been paid then if it was known to me, the women stated that people don't go around removing tickets. Again I indicated that I did not get the notice or a ticket. At this point I asked what the original amount of the ticket was and was told it was for XXXX, I indicated I would pay that amount to settle this debt. I was told to pay to collection company but I would still owe the full XXXX. I than asked to speak to the supervisor and was placed on permanent hold. I hung up to call directly at XXXX and was directed to XXXX and asked to speak to the Manager of the parking department. I was transferred to XXXX the Parking Business Manager. I advised her that the ticket was never received and that I would like to settle this debt with the original amount and indicated that the ticket was never received or it would have been paid that day. I also indicated that I would be happy to pay the XXXX today but was told that it would still be in collections and that the car was in my fathers and my name and I will need to pay the debt because they had also mailed out notification to the address verified. I again indicated that the only notice received was a collection notice on XX/XX/XXXX by US mail and this in unfair practice when I am trying to take care of this matter and pay the XXXX. I had indicated that again I did not get a ticket and I would like to take care of this now. Given that we are currently under a pandemic and some people just can't pay or afford to pay bills at this time this was not ethical. I was then told it was going to collections and she refused to take the payment of XXXX offered.

Off note, I have been a victim of identity theft since XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, after reviewing my credit report on XXXX, a credit monitoring agency, I discovered a student loan was opened on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX for {$1500.00}. In addition, several other credit applications were attempted. Neither of these were completed by me. I contacted XXXX and they advised me that this was a student loan and the original creditor was for XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX University. Someone other than myself, wrongfully used my personal information to obtain a line of credit. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed an identity theft report with the XXXX XXXX XXXX Police Department. On XX/XX/XXXX, I complied with XXXX and submitted an identity theft claim. XXXX resolved my claim and advised me that I am still responsible for paying the loan and advised me to contact XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX University. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX University ' Student Financial Services who emailed me an identity theft report to complete. I received unsolicited help from a local attorney XXXX XXXX who reviewed my situation and wrote a letter to XXXX. I was advised by this local attorney that I should stop responding to XXXX and my credit history was in good standing. In XX/XX/XXXX, I joined XXXX Credit Score and Report and discovered that I have a collection debt from National Credit Management for {$1900.00}. Original Creditor is XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX University and the date reported was on XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed this with XXXX who investigated, resolved the dispute and removed the collection debt from my credit report and reported this to the other credit bureaus. In XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX to dispute a collection debt for {$1900.00}. Again original creditor was from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX University and also disputed an address that was found on my credit report with XXXX that I have been trying to ask them to remove because I have never lived or used that address which subsequently is linked to the credit debt. After XXXX poorly investigated my identity theft claim, they denied my claim and kept the credit debt and address on my credit report. I am asking for help and advise to justify this. It's very frustrating and time consuming when these companies do such poor investigation and tell you that you're responsible to pay for some loan you never applied for!

On XX/XX/XXXX, after a long illness, I pulled my credit reports and learned of a pending educational fee of {$3100.00} due to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I telephoned XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to confirm the pending amount. I was informed the account was referred to NCM Associates for collection. XXXX XXXX XXXX noted if Im paying the entire amount I could pay online using their bill pay system XXXX. XXXX further stated if Im trying to settle the amount then I must speak with NCM Associates, the debt collection agency. On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid the entire {$3100.00} directly to XXXX via XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the amount cleared my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Acct, and at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed the payment had cleared and that the debt collection agency, NCM were notified there is no outstanding debt. I immediately telephoned NCM shortly after to confirm XXXX balance. NCM confirm there is nothing to collect. However, NCM has continued to report status of the account erroneously, noting a balance is standing of {$3100.00}, and no payments have been made. XXXX or NCM will provide a statement or letter stating the debt is paid. Both points to the other. On XX/XX/XXXX, NCM noted I didnt make the payment to them, but to XXXX, so they will not send confirmation there is no balance, but continue to report the incorrect information to all three credit agencies when this issue is disputed. As of XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX have all reached out to NCM, who have confirmed a standing balance of {$3100.00}, no payments made. XXXX noted it may take 60 days to update, but XXXX account reflects XXXX balance. Im concerned because Im on XXXX and I need housing. The bad reporting of this debt is created a poor credit score, and is reporting incorrectly and I have tried every way possible. I uploaded confirmation documents to XXXX and was informed its not good enough to correct my credit report. Im reaching out to you as a last effort to request NCM to correctly report the status of this account. On XX/XX/XXXX, NCM provided reference number XXXX for the account. I called XXXX directly with the reference information, but XXXX reports NCM confirmed a balance of {$3100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX

I have been trying to get XXXX and the collections company-NAT'L CR MGT to remove this from my credit report for the past few months now. and no action has been taken. I originally agreed with XXXX to start paying on my balance XX/XX/XXXX. However, medical issues came up from XXXX, so I called and informed a rep I would resume payments XX/XX/XXXX and wanted to ensure it would not go to collections. And they told me that was fine, I could resume payments at that time. XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX to resume payments and was informed it went to a collections agency. I was extremely upset. I contacted the agency and also XXXX to get this removed from my credit report and nothing has been done. XXXX is trying to go off the email communication for the original payment agreement, but refuse to go by what I was told over the phone as well ... I have paid XXXX a lot of money out of pocket, and have XXXX small student loans with them that I pay ON TIME every month. it makes no sense I would purposely neglect this debt. The collection agent who originally called me from NAT'L CR MGT was so rude and talked to me like I was a 2 year old. He was very combative. When I explained to him I would make payments to XXXX, I am just trying to figure out why they sent this to collections ... his response to me was : " Well then I will just tell them you are refusing to pay altogether. " .. I said No! I am not refusing to pay, I am trying to figure out what they told me they would not send it to collections and still did. and he responds stating the same thing : " I will just tell them you are refusing to pay. '' He was basically trying to slyly threaten me into paying. I asked to speak to a supervisor and informed I did not want him calling my phone ever again because he was trying to lie about my issue to XXXX. I also complained to XXXX but they have done nothing but say they can only go off of email record and not over the phone, which is not fair to me.

NTL Credit MGMT submitted a balance that I owe to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to show on all three of my credit reports. I never received a letter from them before they through this on my report. I only received a letter from XXXX XXXX at XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, MA XXXX. XXXX XXXX informed me via mail to reach out to the University for payment arrangements. I did in fact sent the university a letter stating that I wanted to make payment arrangements with them. I sent a letter to XXXX XXXX as well as the university. I received a letter from the university stating that it was sent to collection after the NTL Credit had already put this on my credit. I tried reaching out to NTL Credit to see why I never received a letter from them. They stated that they sent a letter and that they called two phone numbers, one of the phone numbers was a phone number that I had back in XXXX so the university would not have had that number since I took classes in XXXX. I use my cell phone for every contact number that I have had for over 10 years. NTL Credit gave my cell phone as the last number that they tried to call. I have never received any calls from them at all. Otherwise, I would have requested that they send me documentation in writing. I am also signed up for informed delivery and I can go back to all of the mail that was sent to me all the way to XXXX to prove that I have never received anything from them. I would have liked the opportunity to work this out with them before they put this on my credit and when I called, I was told it was against the law for them to take it off of my credit and if I did not pay it was going to be worse for me later on. I want this issue resolved without the threats and I would like the opportunity to dispute and/or get a breakdown of what the charges are for as I was never offered this in the beginning. I was communicating with one credit collection agency while this dept was sitting with another one.

My former employer XXXX XXXX pays XXXX % of my tuition with XXXX XXXX University. XX/XX/XXXX I enrolled in class and withdrew from the class in XXXX XXXX. I was never sent a bill for the class. XXXX and XXXX had a tuition deferment agreement that no money was paid upfront and XXXX would pay XXXX % of the tuition at the end of the semester. I continued to be employed by XXXX until XXXX XXXX during that time I never received a bill or notice from XXXX or XXXX stating that I owed money. It was my belief that the class has been paid for. XX/XX/XXXX I received an email stating that I was being sent to collections for a debt XXXX+. The woman at XXXX I spoke with at the time told me they had been sending bills to my SNHU email ( I never opted into that and since I was only enrolled for 3 weeks I never checked the email account after I withdrew from the school/class. ). Obviously XXXX is refusing to pay for the class because I am no longer a employee. Last month the debt hit my credit report and after speaking with XXXX and National Credit Management who is the Collection Agency for the account, it is clear they do not have a phone number for me or current address ( moved in XXXX XXXX ). I do not believe I owe this debt, as SNHU failed to properly notify me of the debt, refuses to validate the debt and has a tuition agreement with XXXX. This bill should have been sent to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Even if XXXX had emailed me at my personal email ( which they have on file ) or mailed me a bill or notice in the 10 months following the class I would have handled it with XXXX since they were fully paying the bill.

I attended the XXXX XXXX XXXX College XXXX, Indiana campus and had to leave due to medical issues at the time in 2017. I didnt know I owed a balance of {$550.00} until later. While trying to enroll at another XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I was advised I needed to pay the balance, which I tried to pay through the school, but they gave me the information to National Credit Management. I gave them a call in hopes if I paid, it can be removed from my credit report. I was never informed they didnt do pay-to-deletes or whatever they call it, but their manager XXXX XXXX, stated I could call the school and have it removed since I satisfied the account in full. Now me, not knowing much about credit, I went to the school and was told Im supposed to contact National Credit Management since theyre the ones who had the account. I called them and then was told through a rude customer service representative that snarled at me when I tried explaining what I was told, WE DONT DO PAY-TO-DELETES and basically hung up on me. My issue is, why would you lie and give me hope that I could get the collection removed, when he couldve explained it from the beginning. I called and tried seeing if I could talk to him directly, was either hung up on, or having a call rep who was rude. I tried fixing the situation because if anything, XXXX couldve just been honest in the first place.

This debt was previously sold to two different debt collection agencies- XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Per my previous complaint with the CFPB, this debt was legally guaranteed from XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX to be deleted from my credit infinitely under the circumstances of obscene harassment and threatening me illegally. There is legal binding paperwork to prove this. However this debt was then sold to a third debt collection agency after being provided legal binding paperwork that this account was closed and deleted. On XX/XX/XXXX, National Credit debt collection agency reinstated the debt illegally on my credit report and has illegally given my personal information ( full name, birthday, and social security number ) to people who are not me and have not validated they are me. Therefore my identity has been compromised. They have also provided fraudulent remarks on my credit stating this debt is " severely past due '' and that I supposedly have " missed payments ''. They have also harassed me over a dozen times after stating to them to not contact me and threatened to take illegal action against me. As a result of these illegal activities from this debt collection agency, I am letting this complaint serve as a final notice for this to be deleted from my credit with written confirmation again. If this is not the result, I will have my attorney be in contact with this agency. Thank you.

National Credit Management is a privately owned collection agency is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC section 1681i and 15 USC 1692 ( a ) ( 5 ) there is no debt. This assumed debt was charged off after an internal credit in the amount of the loss in order to zero out the balances and close the account. The loss balance is then transferred from the Internal Active System to the Internal Collections System which opened up another fraudulent. The agreement is satisfied, the terms of the agreement is satisfied and the account has been zeroed out and the contract has been satisfied. National Credit Management sent a letter dated XX/XX/23 claiming to be from the XXXX XXXX XXXX to collect a debt for my XXXX XXXX XXXX son within 14 days or it would go to collections. The letter was not received until XX/XX/23. I called the university and spoke with the lady that handles the billing and was told that she didnt send any such letter and that she signs her name on billing statements and includes official letterheadboth of which were missing from the letter I received. I made a payment directly to the university after hanging up. I immediately got a call from NCM for my son. I explained to them that he was XXXX and that they needed to tell me why they were calling. They refused and did not identify themselves until I told them that if I was filing a complaint for fraudulent tactics to collect on a debt. Then the representative became more forthcoming. She however claimed NCM worked for the university instead of identifying herself as a debt collector from a private company. She asked me to confirm his birthday. She said that she was calling for the correct person but didnt know he was a minor despite having his birthday in front of her. Several minutes went by before she told me it was an attempt to collect a debt to which I told her that I had a payment plan in place with the university and that Id made my final payment.

I feel like the company extorted/extorting me to make payments without any proof of this debt. Not only that, but the company has been reporting negatively on my credit report. Despite the fact that I made payments on this account they have not indicated that I have ever made any payments on this loan they claim I owe. I tried multiple times to solve this issue and was ignored or giving false information. When I called the office to resolve the issue like ( XXXX XXXX ) told me to do, she then told me I didnt qualify what she offered in the email. They refuse to remove the remarks off my credit report. Also, I wasnt attending XXXX XXXX University so I dont feel I owe this. I was in XXXX XXXX, MO attending XXXX XXXX training for nine and a half weeks to become a XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX. There is no way I could be attending school in Colorado while in Mo. Company had NEVER sent me in documents in regards to this. They claim they sent me a letter they never sent. Also in the attachment they claim to have mailed to my address in my previous complaint ( which is absolutely false ) says Dear Mr.XXXX ... I am not a mr . I have attached pictures of the emails with us, proof of employment at XXXX XXXX, and my certification to show I wasnt attending school.

I never received any letter from the company in regards to this debt. I never receive any documentations, contract, or my signature on anything showing that I owe this debt. I have only receive emails and phone calls about this account or statements showing what the company say I owe in email attachment. Also with the phone calls and emails no one at National Credit Management disclosed I did not have to do business with them. Only that I need to pay the account in full or set up payment plans. I have asked multiple times for them to send documentation about this loan and was told I didnt need anything else other than I owe XXXX XXXX University money! I was never informed that I am NOT required to do business with the company under the ( Contract Law ). Which is illegal. On XX/XX/2017, I sent a request for debt validation to National Credit Management. I received a response back dated XX/XX/2017 with insufficient information to prove that the account had been transferred to this agency AND stated that the agency would CEASE all collection activities. Subsequently, AFTER I demanded validation NCM illegally ADDED this account to my credit report as I was alerted to a new account on my credit bureau on XX/XX/2017. I submitted a compliant via CFPB where NMC agreed to CLOSE the account and return it to the original creditor. This action of CLOSING the account is insufficient as this company continues to ILLEGALLY report FALSE information on my credit report. I am demanding that all references to this account be IMMEDIATELY deleted from ALL credit reporting agencies and I be paid {$1000.00} for each reporting instance including both XXXX and XXXX for a total of {$2000.00}. I am in the process of applying for credit and this is ILLEGALLY damaging my credit rating. I am attaching a copy of my letter to NCM, the certified letter receipt, and the NCM debt validation response letter including attachments that NO WHERE state that this account has effectively been transferred to this agency for collection purposes.

I had a {$300.00} tuition balance issue from XXXX XXXX College of XXXX XXXX end up with a collection company National Credit Management XX/XX/XXXX. After finding out about the collection and speaking with the school XXXX and to National Credit Management I was informed that if paid the collection would be deleted off my reports. I paid this debt on XX/XX/XXXX under the condition PAID FOR DELETION. However, this debt still shows as a collection account on my credit reports. I have spoken to National Credit Management and they state I have to speak to XXXX and when I call XXXX they state I have to speak to National Credit Management. I am getting the run around after I did what I was supposed to do on XX/XX/XXXX so they need to honor their PAID FOR DELETION agreement. I've since graduated from XXXX and now back to fighting this battle to get this handled as accordingly. I have recently written a letter to several directors at XXXX and left a message for the dean 's office since National Credit Management will not do what they are supposed to do. They are the reporting company to my credit reports. Companies should not be able to treat consumers this way. I did my part so their part needs to be done.

I have contacted National Credit Management regarding Account # XXXX at the address listed below via certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX regarding unverified invalidated inaccurate information listed on my credit file with the credit reporting agencies, I have received back a letter from this company that i have attached that list account numbers, dates and charges but nothing that indicates that i am the account holder or responsible party for these accounts. I have demanded several times to have these inaccuracies removed by the company and by the credit reporting agencies but have not been successful. After researching the company and the debt collection guidelines in Texas ( in which i am a resident ) National Credit Management is not bonded with the state of Texas to collect any debt. Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code prohibits a third-party debt collector or credit bureau from engaging in debt collection in Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond and filed a copy of the bond with the Office of the Secretary of State. On XX/XX/2021 at XXXX. XXXX XXXX called and was immediately aggressive when I asked him what the call was about. Continued to talk over me and when I asked him to send a debt validation to prove it was my debt he said that it was sent XX/XX/2021. However, the debt validation that I received was not from him or his company. Because this is a new company I am entitled to a new validation because I am not familiar with them or the debt collector. I hung up after he tried to tell me " You got ta pay this debt or else.. ''. After, I called back in which he picked up to confirm company information, I wanted an address and the address that they accept mail to then patronized me by saying " Smarter people looked it up on XXXX '' then said that I was a " college dropout. '' This is behavior that is unacceptable especially when I didn't give him a reason to respond the way that he did. I also asked him to send the validation to the address that is on file and he was mad I didn't want to give personal information on the phone. Also, I never verified my social security number ( last four ) and he still proceeded to tell the alleged business of mine to an unverified ear.

Hello, I first contacted National Credit Management on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX after noticing a collection account on my credit report. At that time I had informed them that I had never received a notice letter informing me of my right to dispute the debt. They had updated my contact details after this initial contact and had claimed I will be receiving an email with the details. I waited for XXXX months, I never received notice. I then contacted this company again on XX/XX/XXXX after disputing the charge with XXXX. I asked again, for a formal notice informing me of my debt and requesting a debt validation after verbally diputing the charge. I was told I will be receiving another " email ''. I still have yet to receive something. They have violated my rights under the FDCPA and I will proceed with filing a lawsuit if I do not receive verification/validation of the debt within 30 days. I am now sending this company a written dispute. Since I was also told over the phone that " We do not accept verbal disputes ''. Which I also believe is a violation. As per my knowledge most debt collectors have to respond to verbal or a written dispute.

Apologies for any errors in reporting legal violations, my understanding is rudimentary at best. XX/XX/23 : Recieved call from National Credit Management, stating I owe {$2800.00}. I did not recognize this debt, so I state, " I'm not sure... I recognize this ( debt ) ... '' and asked for letter of validation of debt and to only recieve communications through mail. I did not state the debt was mine and did not agree to pay this debt. NCM consented to my request for written form of validation. XX/XX/23 : 5 days after initial communication, NCM has not provided validation of debt in any form, violating all parts of 12 CFR Part 1006 ( Regulation F ) Section 1006.34 ( a ) ( 1 ). XX/XX/23 : 30 days after initial communication. No further communications from NCM. Decided to allow another few days before reporting to allow them more time to correct clerical errors. XX/XX/23 : 42 days after original notification. NCM has neither attempted to collect on the supposed debt and has not fulfilled my request for validation of debt. Have not recieved any communication of any form from NCM.

I set up autopay from my bank account to make payments so I would not forget. ( Which I have no clue why I was paying it because I only owe 2 student loans and this 3rd bill came from nowhere I guess ). The University continued to take said auto pay from my account for months. Out of the blue, I get a notification from XXXX XXXX, I have a debt collection hit on my credit score! Come to find out, my payments have been stopped and I have been turned into collections. I never asked them to stop taking payments, never changed banks, and never ended the checking account with my bank. I still have the same everything. How on earth can this happen? Clearly, I have never missed a payment on any debt I have and that can be seen on my credit report that states 100 % payments made history. I have no clue on how to even go about taking care of this, but I do know, that bill that I had payed down has accumulated into a bigger amount and I have done nothing to make this happen. I'm so upset. There should be laws on stuff like this.

I have a balance at a previous university and because of this, they have a hold on my transcripts. They said if I worked with the collections company that has my debt, they will release the transcripts. I contacted the company and made the required upfront payment and I am very concerned with how this company handles my personal information. I called to make this payment on XX/XX/2023. When the individual answered, I told them why I was calling and they said they could help and asked if I was 'MY NAME '. I am, and so I responded with yes. Then the individual read off my SSN, DOB, address, email, and phone number to me asking if this was accurate. I could of been anyone and this individual gave out every piece of personal information I have. They didn't ask to confirm it and have me read out the information, they read it off themselves. This is an unethical example of handling personal information. I have canceled my card and plan to contact the school to find a new method of handling this debt.

In 2018 I was attending XXXX XXXX. I had been for a while and was getting financial aid. The last semester that I attended, I had turned in all of my financial aid info and started school. I was contacted by the financial aid office after saying I owed them for the full semester. I asked how was that possible and I get full financial aid? The young lady explained that she failed to turn my paperwork in to the department of education for them to send in my financial aid for that semester. It is being reviewed by the department of education and collection actions are supposed to be on hold until the investigation is completed. Today National credit management emailed a bill with all of my personal information, name address as well as full debt information to a shared email box that is used for business now without calling to verify that it was my personal email. I share that email box with my sisters and a couple other people. That is a violation especially including my personal information.

XXXX University employed National Credit Management a debt collector to obtain monies owed for me pulling out of class early. Being that I submitted in a timely manner pulling out of the class and requested that the school do not send me funds because of the course that I requested early departure. The school sent the money that was associated to my federal student loan ; unfortunately, I was not notified in a timely manner of the monies owed and the school sent the account into collections immediately without giving me chance to pay the account balance. The collection company ( National Credit Management immediately put the account in collections on my credit reports. Also, according to my Stafford loan disclosure, I am required to pay the same monies that was in collection back on my loan. This would make two payments. The school failed to tell me the accurate cost of the course which was extremely to high is the reason why I left the program and the school.

I signed up for classes at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX program. Originally they told me I could not register, because I hadn't finished a XXXX course. Later they did allow me to register, and so I did, but because I hadn't finished the XXXX, they then told me that I could not receive financial aid. I promptly dropped all my classes because I had no way to pay for them. They then charged me a 20 % fee for dropping my courses, even though I never attended and they admitted me past the no fee dropout timeframe. It's not fair or right, that they charged me close to a XXXX dollars and then sent the bill to collections. Predatory practice. They should have not charged me anything, because I promptly dropped all courses before they started. Please help me get rid of this on my credit report. Thank you

Hi, I contacted National Credit Management in regards to my debt on my credit report. I havent heard or seen anything so I was in total shock. I wanted to resolve this as soon as possible. I called NCM tonight at XXXX PM and spoke with XXXX. She couldnt hear me, as I explain my concerns when she answered. So she hung up. I then called back and she answered. She disclosed debt information prior to verifying any information. She stated the mini Miranda but only this is an attempt to collect a debt Being a previous debt collector I know as a third party collector they have to say this is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained with be used for that purpose, this communication is from a debt collector. She did not state that at all. I want this completely removed from my credit and waived. She violated FDCPA.

The account associated with XXXX UNIVERSITY has not been removed as it is CLOSED. XX/XX/2017 I have asked to not be contacted through any other means other than standard mail via the postal service to resolve this matter. Yet I still get phone calls and added interest and fees monthly. I have not given permission for any third-party agencies to use or withhold my personal information. I believe excessive fees and interest have been used against me and the agencies involved refuse to answer any of my questions. I have not authorized the agencies involved to obtain, store or sell my personal information and have explicitly stated not to be contacted. They do not have a wet-ink signed signature proving I am responsible for any debts they claim I owe them. They harass me and I refuse to have my rights violated any further.

I am disputing an entry on my credit reports made by National Credit Management, who is collecting for XXXX XXXX for the amount of {$430.00}. I spoke to the XXXX 's XXXX at XXXX XXXX. They state my debt with the college was NEVER placed with National Credit Management and that I was eligible to pay my debt off through the college exclusively. I have made this payment directly to the college so that I can register for classes. The payment was made by VISA in the amount of {$340.00}, which is the ORIGINAL amount of the debt ( not {$430.00} like National Credit Management lists. I have disputed this entry on my credit reports for quite some time now and National Credit Management maintains they are collecting for XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX 's XXXX 's office has maintained this debt NEVER went into collections.

The school fraudulent advertise that I would be paying lower fees for the school/class. Once started each class was {$6500.00} per class. I dropped the class because of the pricing. Later I was hit with a balance without warning. The loan was sent to a third party vendor NATIONAL CREDIT MGMT which immediately applied for the loan on my credit reports. I paid the loan off timely and was advised that they do not remove credits reporting from accounts. The account was paid n full immediately. I feel that XXXX XXXX University and National Credit Management was negligent in customers due process and was not in good faith. Ask that being that the account is paid off and the procedures were not ethically correct, that the negative reports be removed from my credit reports.

I previously paid a tuition debt with XXXX XXXX University in the amount {$1600.00} in XX/XX/2019. I paid this amount directly with the University and not with a debt collection agency ( National Credit Management ). I never had a contract or have done business with this company yet they are reporting a closed account on my credit report which is erroneous. I have requested payment and debt validation from this company yet have received nothing in return. I Have disputed this account with the 3 credit agencies but have yet to gain a resolution. This company is reporting false information and is violating my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I have been subjected to undue financial burden due to this false and illegal credit reporting.

The collection agency under national credit management put a collection on my credit account 3 years later that I did not know about because it should have been a debt under my student loans. This collection is really hurting my score that I worked hard on for years. I called them and they told me it didnt report because of covid was in place but other things reported on my report and I was fixing my report at the time so I kept an eye on it everyday. It should have been reported in 2019 which was way before Covid so that is not an excuse. This debt is {$3500.00}. If I would have known it was going to report on my report more recently I would have stopped it and made arrangements with the collection agency.

This company ( national credit management ) has emailed and called and recently started contacting my family member who they claim I used as a reference. When I called the representative, XXXX XXXX, he was rude, condescending and basically told me that he would not stop calling her or anyone else on my behalf because he's trying to collect a debt and as long as this debt is outstanding, until I pay it or make arrangements to pay it, he will call whoever he wants -- that no law protects me from that or prevents him from using such tactics to get me to pay the balance. When I continued to tell him " please stop calling my daughter '', he hung up on me and then refused to answer a subsequent call.

The account is XXXX dollars. It is to my understanding that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX have sold my account to them and they got a credit from the IRS when filing my account as a loss.

According to the National Consumer Assistance Plan, credit reporting agencies are supposed to only report collection accounts that were created via a contract. I do not have a contract with the collections company that is trying to collect collect a debt from me. I mailed them the template collections letter that this website provides, and the section from the NCAP that specifically states that credit reporting agencies shall not allow collection furnishers to report debt that did not arise from a contract. Please refer to pages 11-12 of the NCAP because it corroborates the policy set in place that I am talking about. Thank you!

I have disputed it a few times through the credit bureaus. I have sent letters to the collection agency reporting a collection on my credit report that they have to show the accuracy of their documents but no such thing was given. It is the law under FCRA to do so and yet they will not. I have not a single blemish on my credit report besides this collection company. Debt is from the college I attended for my XXXX study. It is the fee to graduate. Was not notified that it would go to collection, nor was I notified that it was with a collection agency. No one contacted me. I called school to pay and was told it was with a collection agency. Paid the debt with the collection agency and it is still appearing on my credit report months later. I was told it would be removed from my credit once I paid it.
