I believe I am a victim of consumer fraud. I wish to file a complaint against XXXX and National Budget Planners of South Florida XXXX Inc. XXXX National Budget Planners. I contacted XXXX to consolidate my loans on XXXX XXXX. I then proceeded to fill out the necessary paperwork on the XXXX website to start the process of Income Based Repayment. Once I had turned in all necessary paperwork on XXXX XXXX, I was immediately contacted by a company named " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' ( which I later learned were doing business as National Budget Planner. ) The representative proceeded to tell me they were affiliated with my federal student loans and they iterated to me details of each loan I was paying on, what percentage rates each loan was at, and asked me what income I was currently making. They knew my name, birthdate and address. Then went on to tell me I would qualify for XXXX Forgiveness and consolidation if I paid XXXX installments of {$99.00} for a " sign-up fee '' and then only pay a $ XXXX monthly servicing fee after that. I thought this phone call was related to the recent application that I sent to the federal student loan XXXX on the XXXX website. I signed up with the company XX/XX/XXXX by signing a contract that was sent to me electronically. From that point my XXXX installment fees were taken out and the company has been taking a servicing fee out of my account for over a year. Dates the payments were withdrawn:XX/XX/XXXX - {$99.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$99.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$99.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$99.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$39.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - $ XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I decided to start doing some more research on National Budget Planners since I had n't heard from them in an entire year. When typed into XXXX search, this is the website that pops up http : //www.nationalbudget.org/. I then proceeded to call the number under the " Contact Us '' tab. It was very troubling to me that the phone number connected me a person that had no idea who Nation Budget Planners were, and who has received multiple calls asking for National Budget Planners. Alarmed. I then called my XXXX and XXXX servicer ( who services all my federal loans ) and asked if they had received any payments from this company. They said there had been no payments made towards my federal loans ever and that my loans were already consolidated through the student government website effective XX/XX/XXXX. I then contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX asking for a statement of the payments that were being made to my student loans. The worker said I would receive a statement within XXXX hours which would be sent to my email. I never received any statements and still have n't to this day. I believe I have been a victim of consumer fraud because 1 ) The initial sales presentation was deceiving and manipulative ; 2 ) I understood Student Loan Servicing a/k/a/ National Budget Planners would make payments toward my loans with the fees and monthly payments 3 ) I have not received any genuine service or benefit for the nearly {$900.00} I paid them to date. After a thorough review of the contract, I am not even sure if I am contracting with XXXX XXXX XXXX or National Budget Planners and the contract does not even indicate what service they are providing for the significant amount of money I have paid them. I 've recently ended my contract with National Budget Planners XX/XX/XXXX. Although they indicate they are accredited XXXX, when I looked them up on the XXXX website XXXX, they appear as unaccredited. National Budget Planners of Florida is a XXXX organization. Their EIN is : XXXX

My complaint is with National Budget Planners. National Budget Planners solicited me for federal student loan consolidation services in XXXX. They told me that I would be eligible for loan forgiveness after making on-time monthly payments for seven years, regardless of my occupation. They also told me that my monthly payment would only be {$39.00} since I was still looking for full-time employment after graduating and qualified for a reduced payment plan due to my low income. They made it sound like this {$39.00} a month would apply to my student loans. Come to find out that this $ 39 monthly fee did not apply to my loans and was just a servicing fee for National Budget Planners, even though XXXX Servicing was actually servicing my loans so they had me thinking that XXXX was charging me the $ XXXX. Once I got a full-time job in XX/XX/XXXX, I recertified my income-based repayment plan and my monthly payment increased with the student loan servicer, XXXX, and I noticed I was still being charged the extra $ XXXX. When I called to ask what this was for, I was told that it was the fee charged for servicing loans and was under the impression that this was a XXXX fee. As of XXXX XXXX, XXXX, my federal loans have been transferred to XXXX for servicing by XXXX. I was still charged the $ XXXX fee in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX, so when I called XXXX to see why they were still charging me, they informed me that Federal Loan servicers of the Dept. of Education do not charge fees for servicing loans. After escalating my conversation to a supervisor, I was informed that I didn't sign up with XXXX directly and that National Budget Planners had basically " scammed me '' into using them as a " reference '' for signing up with XXXX ( the supervisor 's words, not mine ) so National Budget Planners are the ones who have been charging me $ XXXX for the past seven years, which was never made clear to me. The XXXX supervisor told me to make sure XXXX removes their access from my account, have my bank put a block on all future charges, and file a complaint with the FTC against the debt relief company as " this is basically a scam '' ( again, the supervisor 's words, not mine ). Not only did National Budget Planners mislead me from the very beginning about loan forgiveness eligibility, monthly payments, and interest rate accruals, but they also made me believe that I was working with the actual student loan servicer, XXXX, the entire time. All of these conversations were done over the phone, so no documentation is available to share, which is even more frustrating.

I applied for the national student service forgiveness program ( XXXX ) they are from XXXX California. They had me pay an admissions fee for them taking care of my account ( XXXX dollars ). i have been paying XXXX dollars a month since XXXX.They have done nothing to help me and have actually hurt me and my credit severely! I had no contact with them til i learned that my credit was severely impacted. The information they had ( email, telephone number, address ) were all wrong and they were not updating my information to the federal student loan people. So i was no receiving any information that i needed to know. i had called to see what was happening and they told me i needed to renew my account after a year. well it had only been 6 months. I was told that i had to send in my pay stubs in ( i faxed them ) order for them not to send my information to the credit bureau. Well that was also a lie, that night i checked my score and it had dropped XXXX pts. Ive sent this company my pay stubs, my information, my social security number as well as my bank account number. In the process they were not communicating with the XXXX XXXX XXXX, who are my actual loan holders, so i learned that i was supposed to be making payments and i never did because this company told me they were handling my account. So on my credit report i was told that i was 120 days late on payment, when in reality i was told that i would not need to make a payment. NBP put a forbearance on my account which the federal loan services noted they did. I was also told that after 10 years of paying ( NBP ) i would have all my loans forgiven. well that was also false because i do not qualify for that type of forgiveness. They are a fraud and never give you the information you need. They told me i could get the public loan forgiveness program when i only qualify for XXXX of the XXXX requirements for this program. It makes no sense to pay a company to help you maintain your loans when they just hurt you in the process. The federal student loan services have helped me understand why this company did what they did and now i think it needs to be noted that they cant keep doing this to students who are struggling to pay for their loans.

As of XXXX XXXX I had repaid my debt with an excessive amount. On that day, according to my account NBP sent a reimbursement check to me. I have not received it. When I contacted by email I was told to contact XXXX, to whom my last payment was made. When I contacted by phone two weeks ago I was told the holiday weekend may have slowed the check in the mail. I was told to call back at the end of the week if I had not received a check. This week I contacted XXXX, which actually showed that I had a XXXX cent credit which they promised to send to me. I called NBP immediately after and was told that XXXX owed me. I explained that, no, according to both statement and conversation with XXXX, they do not owe me more than XXXX cents. After being placed on hold I was told that I could call back after the XXXX of XXXX because only then would they be able to void the check and send me payment. I might also add that every month I received an email threat that they would take my monthly payment from my account and if there were insufficient funds I would lose even more money. They, apparently, do not hold themselves to the same standards.

Trying to call XXXX student loans from a number online from XXXX search : XXXX, I reached National Budget Planners who did a great job of pretending to work with XXXX on behalf of the Department of Education. This guy accessed my private student loan information and I later learned he accessed and changed my FSA ID without my permission through an email I got after the call from the US Federal Government. This is his info : Revised Pay As You Earn ( REPAYE ) You will pay a total of {$190000.00} over 300 months {$240.00} + $ XXXX/month ( 11 Months ) XXXX XXXX Student Loan Counselor National Budget Planners Phone : XXXX Ext. XXXX Email : XXXX Doing some research I learned they are part of XXXX XXXX XXXX, and will identify themselves as XXXX XXXX**** as well as National Budget Planners. They are smooth talkers, know the sales jungle to try to convince you they are legit, but all research points to illegal debt collectors who will take your money. He said he would help me consolidate my loans for $ XXXX/month. I declined as I have worked in XXXX several years and wanted to do research on this company first!

On XX/XX/XXXX I completed a Student Loan Consolidation with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Every month since then the monthly payments are automatically deducted from my checking account. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a Credit Alert stating that my score had dropped from XXXX to XXXX because my student loan payments were 90 days late. I contacted the National Budget Planners and they said that my account was due for a recertification. I asked why I had not been notified and the representative did not have an answer. On XX/XX/XXXX National Budget Planners sent me a notice to recertify. The payments have been made every month and yet a report was filed with the credit reporting agencies stating that I was 90 days behind. I believe that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is responsible for this negative action. In addition to my monthly student loan payments I pay them to handle my account. They failed to do the work and notify me when it was time to recertify. This resulted in a drop of over 100 points on my credit reports. I need them to take care of this and get my credit standing to where I keep it.

I was contacted by National Budget Planners and they told me that they could help me re-consolidate and manager my loan repayments for me so they would be affordable based on my income. I was told I would qualify for the pay as you earn program and my payments would be {$39.00} a month which was the charge they had for their services and my monthly payments would be {$0.00}. I also paid an up front charge of about {$490.00} which was broken into three payments. This all happened on XXXX/XXXX/2015. My loans were consolidated by my monthly payments were {$250.00} dollars and National Budget Planners were not helping me with the process. I called them over 4 times in a month period to try and have the problem resolved which has yet to happen. My account was XXXX days delinquent so I called XXXX XXXX to figure out what could be done. The number they gave me were a lot different that National Budget Planners and there was no monthly or up front chargers for me to take care of my loans.

I had a representative from National Budget Planners call me explaining that they could consolidate my loans if I pay a $ XXXX monthly payment every month with the implied purpose that that would be the lowest payment I could pay based on income. I initially paid a {$200.00} registration fee and since then I have been making {$40.00} payments for over 2 years. Recently I received a bill from XXXX XXXX and my loans were the exact same amount as two years ago! When I called and asked why this way, they said some third party has been receiving payments from me while they make sure I stay on an income-based payment plan, all of which I could do for free from XXXX XXXX. The National Budget Planners have been taking hundreds of dollars from me and not reducing any of my student loans, which was the their promise. They have renewed my yearly " service '' without my consent which I was also unaware that I had the option to renew the services or not.

About a year and a half ago I contacted an outside company regarding my student loan. I was trying to get my amount lowered due to financial difficulties. They explained to me that they would take care of all necessary paperwork every year and it would only cost me {$39.00} a month which would be added to my monthly payment. I 've had to contact them regarding the paperwork because they have not stayed on top of it. I was also informed that they should not be charging me a fee to do what is basically free. This is not something that I was aware of until recently. Unfortunately there has been no paperwork for me. Nothing that states what I am paying and what the amounts are going towards. The only paperwork has been my pay stubs that I have submitted to them for income verification. I am, however, attaching a copy of my bank withdrawals.

Dealing with the company National Budget Planners, the sales representative, XXXX, XXXX Ex XXXX, who repeatedly made material misrepresentations about the actual lender who would be buying out my loans if I am consolidating, telling me that XXXX is a private entity and my load would be bought out directly by the Department of Education ( lied about the actual entity who would be buying out my loan ), and also promised that by consolidating I would not loose my history of prior payments under income based repayment, which the representatives at XXXX confirmed is completely false. They were also attempting to charge monthly fees to " maintain '' my application. This is a dishonest and fraudulent company that nearly cost me over {$100000.00} in prior payments, and should be shut down and disciplined accordingly.

I enrolled in National Budget Planners of South Florida debt consolidation program ( aka : XXXX ) a couple of years ago and paid {$300.00} to get started in this program. I paid {$59.00} dollars per month for approximately 2 years, thinking that their service was helping me consolidate my loans into XXXX payment of {$59.00} dollars per month. But I found out later that they were taking my money and not doing anything to help me consolidate my loans. This got my loans into a deliquency status. Also, I am a vulnerable adult with XXXX and XXXX. I feel like they took advantage of me and that my loans went into deliquency because of this. Also, my recent credit report shows that I lived at their company address in XXXX, XXXX, which is incorrect, as I live in XXXX, XXXX and never lived in XXXX, XXXX.

I signed a contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ), and they were supposed to pay off my Sub and Unsub loans. I have been paying XXXX $ 39 monthly, and they were automatically debiting the money from my bank account. Then XXXX contacted me to renew my request for a deferment, and XXXX informed me that XXXX had not paid my loan as per the contract. Now I have sent XXXX a letter stating that I would no longer pay them the {$39.00}, and I put a stop payment on the ACH with my bank. I would like my money back and, more importantly, I want XXXX exposed as a fraud so other students wo n't go through this ordeal.
