On Monday XX/XX/2017, an individual named XXXX called me from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to collect a debt of XXXX for a XXXX XXXX done last year. As I am XXXX from federal employment, my FERS XXXX comes out the first business day of the month and I asked to please call me back on Wednesday XX/X/2017 so that I would have the means to pay it. She called on the day we agreed but I was unable to answer. I called back within the hour and a gentlemen answered and when I explained the situation, he said he could help me. I asked to be transferred to XXXX at extension XXXX but he insisted louder this time that he could take care of it. He asked if I was aware I had another account. It was over two years old from another hospital for around 65 dollars. I was unaware and he told me to wait. Then he told me to pay almost 80 dollars. I reiterated that I was only prepared to pay XXXX as per agreed, and only getting paid monthly makes it difficult for unexpected expenditures. He had joined the separate accounts from separate original creditors and told me he could break it up into three payments so I told him my first payment would be XXXX, as I was prepared and able to pay, and he told me there is no more XXXX. Now, according to the FTC, If a debt collector is trying to collect more than one debt from you, the collector must apply any payment you make to the debt you select. Equally important, a debt collector may not apply a payment to a debt you dont think you owe. His voice slowly became louder and more aggressive until he was yelling through the phone. He told me that, were not a loan company, were a debt collection company, then he yelled, pay your bills! Realizing that despite my anger and humiliation, I needed to remain calm and continued to explain that I could only pay the XXXX and he became verbally abusive. I wish I could remember what was said, but I was in shock at how I was being treated after I had initiated the phone call to pay an agreed upon debt. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he spat, I am the general manager, and I asked to speak to whoever he reports to and he laughed and told me he was being gracious by offering installment plans. He then told me he didnt have to do that and he didnt have to accept any money from me and then I heard him clicking a keyboard a few times and he said, there you go, now I sent it to be- and I didnt understand what he said but clearly he was trying to frighten and intimidate me. After it all, he yelled something from far away into the phone and then hung up on me. I sat stunned for a few minutes and shaking I called again but he answered again on the first ring. I tried half an hour later and he answered again. I tried a different phone number and this time I got XXXX at extension XXXX directly. I told her what had happened but she was unmoved. She explained the agency doesnt accept collections for under 25 dollars so the XXXX was odd because they can not accept payments under 25 dollars. She said she could take the XXXX and set me up for arrangements but there would be a XXXX dollar processing fee. While these seem like nickel and dimes, I only get paid once a month from my works XXXX pension. She told me I could pay online and I agreed then I asked how to report the last gentleman that I spoke with, his name was never given to me. She told me his name was XXXX and he is indeed a supervisor, and to contact someone named XXXX XXXX who is XXXX superior. I hung up the phone with the intention of paying the bill online, but then I was afraid of putting my bank account information online allowing them to take more money without my authorization. I am also afraid of calling back to report this manager, XXXX, and being yelled at by someone else. I may owe XXXX dollars between two past due accounts, but its all from XXXX testing and treatment that got away from me during the time I was sick.

I got a phone call from XXXX XXXX at XXXX from the national bonds ( debt collectors ) and she immediately went into a hostile tone of voice saying i had bad checks and i needed to submit a payment, etc. I told her i was a XXXX XXXX which i am in college and i dont make as much as i was before. So what can i do if this is the case. She became very arrogant over the phone. She began to speak in a ruder tone sarcastic tone. She repeatedly kept saying almost like mocking or making fun of that i had two bad checks because she just kept saying it over and over again. I then asked her if there was a smaller amount i could pay monthly and she kept over talking me interrupting me speaking louder or over me, she then said she was going to report me to the XXXX county jail that i am delinquent and refusing to make a payment. This company has threatened me numerous occasions that they are going to report me to the jail for refusal to pay when i never stated in any calls that im refusing to pay but may need to pay smaller amount until i work XXXX again. XXXX actually hung up on me in mid sentence. I called back to speak with her supervisor and another women picked up she told me if i had a problem with them to contact XXXX county jail so i called them they didn't help i called back and was transferred to XXXX she was almost like laughing at the fact when i told her i just got off the phone with XXXX county jail she said " why would you contact XXXX county jail '' i said " the women i just spoke to told me to before i called back again and was transferred to you. XXXX was yelling over the phone and kept yelling i told her behavior was inappropriate over the phone and it is very disrespectful to hang up on someone she then lied and said i hung up on her. Why would i hang up on myself if im still talking through the phone? She kept saying " I dont give you my permission to record me '' she yelled it about 3 times over the phone and i have no idea why. I never said i was recording her at all. This phone call was horrid. Absolutely horrid both females were telling me how to talk to them when i was not disrespectful at all i was hung up on trying to explain the situation and find another solution to paying the debt owed but in school XXXX. This company always threatens to report me. XXXX said " if i dont receive payment by the last day of the month shes reporting me to the jail ''. This is not appropriate. I called back and spoke to a man named XXXX XXXX and told him what was said and he also stated that was uncalled for and not appropriate at all. I told him everything XXXX said and did and that was not appropriate at all XXXX stated. So if another associate from this same company feels that i was spoken to incorrectly and treated unfairly or less than then that should tell you that XXXX XXXX behavior is unacceptable. I have been spoken to by many associates from this company disrespectfully, threatened, hung up-on and talked to like a child or a dog. Almost every situation it has been by a female caller. We have received several calls from a man named XXXX XXXX looking for my husband. He refuses to provide any more details other than his name and XXXX number, saying this ous a personal matter. Due to how rude he has been coupled with the lack of information from him, I asked him to correspond via mail, and to stop calling. The calls stopped, but never received anything in the mail. Several weeks pass, and XXXX XXXX called our house again this morning. I explained my husband was unavailable, and asked if I could help him. He asked me to just have my husband call him, and provided his name and XXXX number. When i asked what company he was with, he refused to tell me, only saying it 's a personal matter. I told him, " no, you need to tell me what company you represent or I wo n't have my husband call back ''. He said, " real immature. How about you grow up? '' I said, " excuse me?! '' He said, " you heard me! Grow up! '' I responded with, " lose my number XXXX XXXX '' and hung up. I then had to XXXX the XXXX number he gave me to find the company he worked for, which turned out to be National Bond and Collection Associates. I called the other number listed on the website and asked the receptionist to speak to a supervisor. Then I asked if XXXX XXXX was an employee. She explained that he was the supervisor. I then asked to speak with his boss because I was upset at the insulting bullying tactics XXXX XXXX was utilizing. The receptionist, who did not give her name, chided me while saying, " look at how you 're talking! You are immature and need to grow up! '' I told her to lose our number, and proceeded to call their local police department. The answering dispatcher told me I needed to go through my local department. Needless to say, the police were a dead end. I then contacted the FTC, who directed me to this site to file my formal complaint. I 'm familiar with collecting procedures and what companies can and can not do. XXXX XXXX and his associates resort to illegal bullying tactics and evasive answering ; intimidating actions that might scare people into paying a debt they might not even have. XXXX XXXX 's refusal to provide supporting documents and unwillingness to provide company identification makes me think they 're skirting the line of fraud. At the very least, they 're bullies that need to be stopped.

XXXX of 2016 I started to receive letters telling me I'd face criminal prosecution if I didn't pay the debt in full. They followed that by calling me a piece of XXXX XXXX and you're all alike. Since then they have sent threatening letters to my place of resident insinuating I would face legal ramification if I did't pay {$2000.00} immediately to them even though the courts instructed me to pay the state of Pennsylvania. I recently had an influx in my bills and am giving them XXXX per month from XXXX more letter. I was trying to be polite to give them a heads up so I wouldn't have to receive anymore threatening letters from them. Every time I receive a letter its signed with another name but in the same handwriting. I receive XXXX Benefits so I am on a fixed income and don't have the money to pay in full. They don't seem to care and I believe their modo is " We Collect No Matter What ''. Well after I just called to let them to let them know my bills went up so there forI would be making {$20.00} less a month on my payments. Prior to this they would call all night until I XXXX PM. I just want the letters to stop because in no way my judge said that payments will be to XXXX XXXX collection agency. I pay through the Pennsylvania EPay website instead because I simply won't pay this debt collector. I make the payments I can. I am trying to return the money I owe and looking for any kind of job now that I have a vehicle to use. I just want to be left alone by these people. they harass you at every turn, they use profain language, and scare tactics at all time. I thank you for your time looking into this I also have reciepts from all payments.

Received letters from XXXX XXXX XXXX twice since 2018. I contacted them with question about the debt/delinquent account, and why it pertained to myself. My father and grandmother purchased a vehicle through a local dealer. On the letter from collection is reference from the dealer to myself with an outrageous balance that is false and also doesn't involve me. They give no information in why they're collecting this debt and also no reason given about such.
