On XX/XX/2021 I went to Mountain America CU to inquire about the possibility of a refinance on my car loan that is currently with XXXX XXXX. I sat down with a loan officer by the name of XXXX XXXXXXXX at the branch. I let her know that in no way way I seeking to process a loan that day, just wanting to inquire about what they need from me XXXX XXXX and where my XXXX score needs to be at in order to get a loan with them. I also let her know that I had ( 2 ) credit cards with very small balances that I wanted to pay off by the end of XXXX before I would ever process a loan. She tried to talk me into consolidating those smaller balances into an auto loan to which I declined and said no I would rather pay off those as scheduled and just refinance the car alone. The consolidation idea came up one additional time to which I again declined. XXXX asked me if it was okay to do a soft pull on my credit so she and I could look it over and see where I stood. I verbally agreed that a soft pull was perfectly fine as it does not affect my credit in anyway. She pulled up my information and noticed my student loans to which o let her know that because I am on XXXX they really should have never been put on my credit, however the student loan place, put them on my credit in a default status one year after I was approved for XXXX I let her know that I would look into my student loans being removed as that would aid in my chances of approval for a loan. The entire conversation between us she was fielding XXXX messages on her PC asking her when she was ready to go to lunch. I knew we werent going to process a loan that day so I thanked her for her information and time, she handed me a business card with her name and wrote down her extension number on it. As I was getting in my car I saw her leave for lunch. I contacted the student loan department to which they let me know the loans would take up to ( 3 ) years to remove so there was no hope in getting them removed. I tried calling the number on the card and it only went to a central location for the Credit union and not her direct extension. By then emailed her letting her know what the student loan place said and let her know that I would not be coming in to complete any paperwork and we could just forget about going forward. She never emailed me back nor did she contact me via phone. Fast forward a few weeks and I found out that she actually processed a hard pull as well as processed the loan on my behalf without my approval, authorization, or consent to do so. 2 out of 3 credit union agents that I spoke with and point blank asked if a loan was filed in my name lied to me saying no. Finally the third admitted that yes a loan was filed, however I was denied. She even on the loan application put in an amount being requested that was never spoken about. I drove to the branch that XXXX worked at and spoke to the assistant branch manager that was there at the time he instead of hearing my concern that a loan was fraudulently placed in my name made excuses for XXXX letting me know what a great employee she was and gave her nothing but glowing compliments. I asked for this to be pulled back from my credit since I did not authorize this loan to be submitted and instead of filling out the suppression form he tried to make it better by offering me the loan anyways at 8 % when Im currently at 9.74 % This was his way of trying to make what XXXX did OK, as well as not having to fill out the suppression paperwork because it was a fraudulent loan. This is also where I found out that I was XXXX points away on my XXXX score from actually qualifying for a 3 % loan. I declined his offer and asked again for him to fill out the suppression form to which he did. I also had him pull XXXX into his office to get her side of the story and she said that I did give her authorization to process the loan which was a complete fabrication, she also says that she called me back to which she could provide no evidence of this call, and when I let her know that I had emailed her she then said oh yes I emailed you back. Yet once again could provide no evidence of this as well as I have no reply to my email I sent her. Even with her lying in front of her boss he still made it OK that she processed a fraudulent loan in my name. Mountain America sent me a paper deeming that the loan was valid and that what XXXX had done was legal. I then contacted their call center back got an email from one of the representatives and forwarded her the email that I had originally sent to XXXX stating that no loan was to be processed. That email was proof that it was a fraudulent loan and Mountain America was going to suppress the loan at that point however nothing was done. Multiple calls on my behalf for me to Mountain America requesting supervisors, management, and anyone who would be able to rectify the situation for me, however not one person would take my calls nor would they call me back from upper management about this issue. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX and I made contact again with Mountain America via phone and spoke with a XXXX XXXX. He assured me that he would get this completely taken care of for me by drafting up a letter for the suppression and have it sent to legal to have them approve it before sending that off to the credit bureaus for the suppression. I requested that letter be sent to me as well. XXXX forwarded me the email and also mailed me a hard copy of the letter. Not only was the letter condescending but it was also never sent to the credit bureaus. I went into Mountain America on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a branch manager named XXXX who confirmed that that suppression letter never was sent to the credit bureau on my behalf. It only takes 20 days to have it pulled back and removed once they receive the letter and it had been well past the 20 days. I truly feel that mountain America has done nothing on my behalf to rectify the situation of fraud. I have had four months to do all the calling on my behalf, all the visits to the branch locations on my behalf to try and get this fixed months later and its still not fixed. Had I committed fraud against a financial institution the law would be completely on their side, I wouldnt have a account with mountain America anymore as they would close it on me and I would be possibly facing jail time. I feel like mountain America is holding no accountability for this fraudulent loan, nor are they holding the loan officer accountable for placing this fraudulent loan in my name. The branch loan officers do get a small commission for loans that they process, so it makes me think that she has indeed done this to others and will continue to do this to other people as well.

On XX/XX/XXXX I got a automobile with XXXX XXXX deals in XXXX XXXX. On the evening of XX/XX/XXXX i called up the sales guy XXXX XXXX from the dealership and told him that i would like to cancel the agreement and return the automobile back. He said to call him the next morning. I called the next morning within 24hours of the agreement and he told me that there was nothing he could do and that it was too late, the paperwork had already gone through and I should speak to MACU who funded the loan. 2. I called up the Mountain America Credit Union XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a rep and asked if I could return the automobile. I was advised again it was too late by the sales support and I even asked how do i get out of the agreement and they told me its too late now, and the best thing i could do is to make payment as it would get really messy. 3. Then the COVID 19 and the world went on lock down and the payments needed to be made on the car. They pushed the payments out on the car to the end of the loan for six months, and started to harass and make threatening calls for payments at the end of the six months had expired, they even started calling my mother in laws house, which they had no authorization to do. 4.I told them I did not want the automobile from the beginning, and they had a tow company come and take the car. 5. I re-read the the credit agreement and the FCRA and I saw the Notice to recession in the agreement and it was rewritten unilaterally in favor of the seller and not in accordance with the federal law or FCRA 15 USC 1635. the obligor shall have the right to rescind the transaction until midnight of the third business day following the consummation of the transaction or the delivery of the information and rescission forms required under this section together with a statement containing the material disclosures required under this subchapter, whichever is later, by notifying the creditor, in accordance with regulations of the Bureau , of his intention to do so. Which was exactly what I had tried to do cancel the agreement with 24 hours at the time, even though I was unaware about these laws. Please see attachment of the copy of MACU agreement. 6.Once they took the automobile back they put a repossession mark on my credit report. 7. I inquired about getting the mark removed from my credit report by asking them to validate the debt under penalty or perjury, which they ignored in XX/XX/XXXX. ( Please see attached copy ). 8. I then sent a second request XX/XX/XXXX for Debt Validation with a signed affidavit included, requesting them to validate the two debt ( s ) account or remove it from my credit report immediately. Because they failed to answer my first request for validation I hold them liable for damages and emotional stress, injuries and breaking title 15 laws. I told them they would agree to pay me {$50000.00} if they did not respond within the time frame. 9. On XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a letter back saying that the debt is mine and my attempts to get out of paying the debt is not going to work. They sent a photocopy of the credit card agreement, and the automobile agreement. They also said i voluntary signed the security agreement and other paper work. 10. I replied with a 3rd and final notice dated XX/XX/XXXX according to 15 USC 1692 ( B ) 2 its a violation for a debt collector to say a consumer owes a debt, Maxim of law an unrebutted affidavit stands as truth, and they never rebutted any points. I already stated this in my ( 2 ) two previous notices, an affidavit needs to be rebutted point for point or it does not count. ( I have enclosed all the paperwork received ). Also if there is commercial unreasonablness i will revoke my signatures according to my rights in the law. 11. In my final notice sent XX/XX/XXXX I have asked to have everything disclosed to me, signed under penalty or perjury since this is my 3rd and final attempt i have given them 5 days of receipt of the notice which according to usps the letter was delivered XX/XX/XXXX to respond. If i dont receive an answer within the time frame, there silence is acquiesce and MACU is now contractually obligated to pay the invoice of {$100000.00} which I enclosed in this final letter. fraud vitiates all solemn contracts.I warned them i am willing to take this matter further and take them to court where i will have the seller testify that i tried to return the vehicle the next day and they told me i couldnt. 12. Because MACU denied me my legal and lawful right to recession from the beginning, they have committed defemination of character by posting these negative remarks to my credit report, they have flipped my career in a shamble, I am in the finance industry and bad credit and negative items are not acceptable to work. 13. Every aspect of the sale must be reasonable. They have to prove reasonableness and show proper notice of the sale. Disrict of Columbia court rules require the creditors motions, affidavit and supporting documents to show that it complied with applicable law. 14. The invoice for $ XXXX for emotional distress and injuries, stealing my property, denying me my right of recession as granted by law and loss of earnings. My credit was above 700+ before i started dealing with MACU and because they decided to commit fraud, they have messed up my life and because of this I am unable to work or get a job, get a place to live and the XXXX XXXX has been unbearable and my wife divorced me because of it.

I have now been served papers and have 10 days to respond. I'm not sure where or what else to do. I am planning on going to the Attorney General after work today. I have filed complaints with the FBI/IC3 and the FTC. I have all the chats and pics on my phone you can have access to. I also know the name of the actual person the scammer is stealing pics from. I'm even willing to video chat with the scammer to get a good image of him to help catch him and the group he works with/for. Met on XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX. His name " XXXX XXXX ''. He said he lived in XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and worked for XXXX, which has since closed down at that city. He told me he was born in XXXX XXXX, due to father 's job they moved to XXXX XXXX when he was XXXX. Said dad was XXXX, mom XXXX and sister XXXX. He told me he had to go to Oregon to the main branch to cover for a coworker vacation time and was leaving Sunday night but would be back in 2 weeks. When that time came he said they got a contract with the XXXX to do some software program and was leaving for Maryland on Saturday. He had me believing that we would buy a house, get married etc when he got home. He told me to open and account at MACU so he could transfer XXXX into it and then had me move it to XXXX. He said it was so he could trade and increase it to XXXX and then he would have me put it down on a house. He was delayed 2 times coming home. In the last week of XXXX, he told me he was done and waiting for his last check. He told me that he wanted to put me as the beneficiary on his work records. He said they would verify me and my identity through XXXX off the IRS website. When I checked on the website it did say they use that verification system for other government offices, so I didn't question it. I did a video meeting with the XXXX XXXX ' representative, which also looked legit. Here is a list of notes I kept on ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : I did an email to keep separate from my personal emails. It is XXXX The following accounts were opened due to how smooth this scammer was. Mountain America Credit Union ( account is closed ) and XXXX. ACTIONS DONE : He transferred money from an account into the MACU account. He told me to keep {$500.00}, and transfer {$9500.00} to the XXXX account. I didn't pull that {$500.00} out. I have receipt for the wire transfer done. I didnt know it wasnt an unauthorized transfer until weeks later. I did use {$130.00} for tires for my car, which I am willing to pay back that amount. He had me try to add 2 more accounts manually to MACU, which didn't attach. He told me he wanted to add money to my IRA. He mailed a check to my CU in XXXX XXXX off XXXX XXXX. The check was for $ XXXX. There was a letter with the check from XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. The check from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, ck # XXXX. This was shipped via USPS from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX TX. My CU refused this payment and scanned it all in. I had no idea the transfer was an 'unauthorized '' transfer until a month later when I received mail from Mtn AmerXXXX XXXX I told them I would get it taken care of. I told XXXX and he said he would fix it when he got back home. Now that collection is at a law office and I don't have that kind of money. I went on their website and wrote them telling them it was a scam and I was completely unaware when all of it happened. I need to get this removed off my name as I can lose my job, security supervisor. I would have never done anything like this because first I'm honest and have worked hard to better my life and credit. Second this will have bad ramifications on my job which I've been with the same company for over 8 years. I worked really hard at earning his trust and got him to tell me his real first name is XXXX, XXXX XXXX name. He said he is in XXXX XXXX. I have earned XXXX 's trust and he sent me a pic but kept his face hidden. He is willing to video chat with me, but I haven't done it yet. I don't know if it's smart to keep him thinking I'm not reporting him, so as to keep an open line of communication to use for your or any other government investigation. I have kept good records of everything and hope it can help somehow. I need help to stop this lawyer and Mountain America from trying to get money back from me or garnish my wages. I barely make ends meet as is and anything extra will push me to homelessness. I'm barely keeping my mental health together as I lost my husband on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. I can't even pay for his cremation to bring him home and feel horrible for that, not to mention the whole scam thing and damage done to me and the person whose money was stolen from XXXX. I can be reached via email : XXXX or phone ( XXXX ) XXXX but won't answer if I don't recognize the number due to all the telemarketing calls, so leave a message and I will definately call back. I don't need any more problems.

What : Money movement through deception Damage : {$33000.00} stolen, plus {$30.00} in wire fees and penalty fees for closing growth certificates. Wheres the money? Please reference the XXXX file attached that shows the transaction hashes provided by XXXX How : On XX/XX/XXXX around noon : I called the contact number XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX on an emailed XXXX receipt ( sent to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ) for a {$990.00} charge that I didnt make. XXXX support, named XXXX, told me there were a lot of fictitious charges being made on my XXXX account and scheduled payments for the future. She asked what my banking institutions were so that they could also connect me to the right people. She then instructed me to get the XXXX App on my phone and had go to a website called What is my IP address to check if my IP address was exposed. She explained that my identity was more than likely compromised and that its a more serious situation than they thought and it goes beyond the stage XXXX transactions. She instructed me clear my spam inbox folder and search for viruses in my phone by having me scroll slowly through all my applications listed in my settings. They said they needed to know what other devices were connected to my IP address because those are possibly compromised by high-level hackers. She said shed connect me with the Fraud branch at XXXX. I went through a legit call tree and got connected with XXXX, who told me he was my fraud prevention officer. From Monday through Friday XXXX was connected with me via phone and told me to not discuss this case with anybody, and that there was a team of people, including the FBI involved in this matter. He has answers to all my questions and gave a full story while providing me instructions of what to do in order to save my assets. Additionally, each morning around XXXX XXXX would call me on secure line and have me open and access my laptop through XXXX App to install anti-hacking software and use it as bate to locate hackers. I was instructed again by her that I was to not talk about this case until it is closed and to remain connected on the phone lines with them for monitoring and capturing international and domestic hackers utilizing my information. In order to safely move my money to new protected accounts I was told to create a XXXX account and open a XXXX wallet, Which took 24 hrs. I was told to print off wire instructions, then delete the email : On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX : My laptop was turned on and accessed by XXXX and XXXX it looked like Black boxes with white coding text. I was told to go to XXXX at XXXX to wire XXXX from my XXXX account after being told that my money market account was what was initially messed with by the hackers, 10 of which were located and two caught. So, I successfully followed instructions to move my money from my money market account into my checking and then wire {$25000.00} To the XXXX XXXX wallet fowling those instructions. I sent XXXX a copy of the receipt : After the funds hit the XXXX wallet in XXXX, he instructed me to purchase XXXX XXXX XXXX, precisely XXXX USD worth. Then, to make a XXXX withdrawal to an account which was provided to me by him. I was told that this money was going to be put into a new XXXX account # XXXX I was told Id be given access to it no problem when the case is closed. Wednesday : I gave access to my laptop again the morning. There was all day monitoring and reports of the hacker chase. XXXX says hes going to Texas for court about this case and wont be in the office Thursday and wont talk to me again until Friday morning. This pattern repeated in the same fashion again on Friday. Friday : Im connected with XXXX at noon. He uses a different phone number. We text. Im told that there are some more suspicious hackers activity scheduling withdrawals on my growth certificates once they mature and to protect them I need close and move my XXXX growth certificate funds Into the checking account and repeat the same process of wiring the money with the same instructions as before. So, Im tears, A second wire of {$11000.00} was made and I shared the receipt : The remaining funds in the XXXX wallet were then used to purchase XXXX currency and then another XXXX withdrawal was made to the fraudulent wallet. Once the money was successfully transferred, I lost connection with my instructors. The new phone line was disconnected, and XXXX never answered on the XXXX support line. What Ive done since : I called XXXX fraud line to start on my case And have them doing their due diligence trying to retrieve any funds. I called again Saturday morning at XXXX XXXX and had them sign an affidavit. I asked for a refund due to this Authorized pushed payment scam. I await their response and more than likely denial letter. I filled out information on the website identitytheft.gov, made a FTC report ( XXXX ) I have put a freeze on my credit reports and posted a fraud alert through the bureaus. Ive called XXXX XXXX XXXX and they are following their due diligence. I have an ID @ risk status but cant get an Investigation going by their specialist until XXXX provides a denial letter. Ive changed all passwords. Looking into getting my phone and computer wiped, and new systems. I plan to go to the XXXX FBI office to provide any info in case the scam is part of a bigger organization, which I think they are!

I was using an online site that promoted fair play and equal opportunity. It was only after using the site for a few weeks in total that I discovered it was not living up to the standard set. I then reached out to my credit union I spoke with the gentleman who processed the dispute and 35 times my dispute was not only accepted but it was approved and funds were returned credited to my account in a permanent status. The representative I was speaking with then told me to contact the bank the next day to continue because we had found additional transactions that hadn't gone through and one 's prior in the year. When I contacted my bank the next morning or afternoon I'm not sure when I contacted them exactly. I got another very pleasant person on the phone they proceeded to complete the dispute and my dispute was flagged in their system and I was told my dispute was under investigation. When did I become the target in an investigation when I am turning to my bank to help protect me from an institution that was falsely offering services that were not being met. I was then told that my dispute was not valid and therefore would not be granted. I want to know when my credit union decided that it was going to be my judge jury and executioner on my claim that I was being frauded by a specific merchant. I have a bank account with a bank to make sure that I am protected at all times from companies that are out to do wrong. I was then told that there was only one way that there could be fraud and that was if somebody stole my identity and used my cards against my will. I know for a fact that fraud is when somebody is offering something service product or anything else that is not up to the standard that they are offering it at. I continue to argue back and forth with the representative at my bank who was not willing to listen or hear me out on why I thought that it should move forward and was told because I had mistakenly placed it as a dispute not fraud from the beginning that it could not be changed. When did it become okay for my bank to tell me that due process to protect me would not be available. I have now have had multiple run-ins with this financial institution the first being in how they are still charging me overdraft fees and the amounts of which I was being charged these fees to now telling me that I didn't understand what fraud was and they would not be reaching out to the merchant to justify the sleight of hand that I was dealing with. I don't know when Banks decided they were going to be judging jury when dealing with people 's finances there are specific avenues available to people with credit cards that allow you to be protected. For my bank to tell me that I could not exercise those avenues to protect myself I feel is unjust. The representative I was working with was a young lady by the name of XXXX and her lack of compassion and courtesy when dealing with someone who had been a victim or believed that they were a victim and to act like they were the criminal themselves is appalling to say the least. I know that she works under a young lady by the name of XXXX who is a team lead in the recovery and fraud department for mountain America credit Union XXXX 's supervisor is supposed to be a XXXX and they are all overseen by a AVP XXXX when I asked for last names I was met with resistance once again and told that I would receive a call back when I tried to have the representative announce to me the number on the account to make sure that it was an accurate number and she wasn't just taking down or throwing away the number to prevent any sort of follow-up she once again became irate and told me how she would not verify my information for security purposes after I had been verified given my code word and talked with multiple people at the same financial institution. All I want is my bank to do what is right and allow my dispute to flow through the process through the available channels and see what the merchant comes back with as far as my inquiries of fair play and being robbed. If the merchant comes back and states or shows how I was not a victim of fraud or lopsided computer programming. I will gladly pay every XXXX but I feel I was robbed and frauded on the utmost level. My bank is supposed to protect me not the merchant!

I have multiple issues with Mountain America Credit Union. First issue is improper overdraft fee practices. They will charge an overdraft fee even when you have a positive balance. This is always done whenever there is another charge that would legitimately overdraft you. In the example of XX/XX/XXXX, they will process this fee even after you've made a deposit to cover the expenses before they process. I have reached out several times, in person and calling their service department, and they try to explain it away with something that doesn't make clear sense. A while back, in XXXX, I think I originally noticed this issue, and was refunded all of my overdrafts at the time, 5 in total. This is important since they also deny any attempt to resolve citing too many refunds. I have also noticed that they will try to draw out processing beyond what is reasonable, I'm assuming in an attempt to cause additional overdrafts. Often times this means something will be in " processing '' until the very end of the day. I have noticed this, as I try to avoid overdrafts that I can, and when I'm expecting to need to make one, I want to wait until the processing is complete. In one recent instance, I had gotten paid, and decided to splurge a bit and got burgers and ice cream, on XX/XX/XXXX, close to midnight. The two transactions didn't process until XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX. Additionally, since these issues I've been closely observing as of late, I have also noticed two " log-ins '' from IP addresses that trace to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX the transactions were made and the time they were processed. I'm making the assumption that these log-ins were related to the purchases ( as there was no other activity ), and further evidence of purposeful delay. I have changed my password, and will note no other log-ins have been recorded since that time, so perhaps this is rather a security issue. Another issue I have is the use of non-sufficient funds fee. I'm not a lawyer, so request that this matter be looked into professionally, but in XXXX Requirements for overdraft services, on the XXXX website, it indicates that : " the term overdraft service means a service under which a financial institution assesses a fee or charge on a consumer 's account held by the institution for paying a transaction ( including a check or other item ) when the consumer has insufficient or unavailable funds in the account '', and that the overdraft needs to be opt-in. The nonsufficient funds fee has no opt-in option, and on the Mountain America website , will be charged if there are insufficient funds and the overdraft fee was opted out. It is also exactly the same amount as the overdraft fee, so this additionally provides incentive to simply keep the overdraft selected " opt-in ''. Further, I upon making attempts to look into these matters, I have looked around online for specific details, as would be outlined in a membership agreement form. I have looked through my documents and online, and have seen no agreement documention, and only recently acquired one through asking my sister to aquire by inquiring about opening an account. She noted that she had to ask for it specifically, before any attempt to officially open one has been made. I will note I did not attempt to ask for one myself in branch. In the membership agreement form it gives detail about how they attempt to charge an overdraft fee when there is a positive balance. Additionally, and something I see as a major red flag, is a part where it says that Mountain America Credit Union will freeze an account when there is a dispute over an account. This would provide extreme pressure on the consumer to resolve the dispute quickly, and not in their best interest, with the additional effect of potentially harming a person 's credit. Does this include this complaint via CFPB? *Finally, upon researching these issues, I have noted and want to point out that Mountain America Credit Union uses the company XXXX XXXXXXXX for its financial services, including transactions ( which I'm assuming is including processing practices ). XXXX XXXX also services XXXX XXXX, which I am familiar was recently fined by CFPB for related practices, including how it process overdraft, and wonder if XXXX is the source of these issues.

I am writing to request your assistance and intervention in a matter of utmost importance concerning my credit account with Mountain America Credit Union. This situation has not only caused severe financial repercussions but has also had a significant negative impact on my credit score. In XX/XX/2023, I decided to transfer a substantial balance of approximately {$30000.00} from my XXXX XXXX XXXX to my Mountain America Credit Union credit card. My decision was influenced by the promise of a 3 % cash incentive bonus for transferring the balance to them, as well as their lower interest rate. It was explicitly communicated to me that as long as I did not transfer the balance to another credit card and paid off the debt with cash, I would be entitled to and retain this incentive, which amounted to approximately {$900.00}. I promptly paid off the entire balance, approximately {$30000.00}, in full, in XX/XX/2023, utilizing funds from my XXXX XXXX Account. To this day, I have consistently maintained a XXXX balance on my credit card account, as evidenced by numerous screenshots I have taken, each showing a XXXX balance. It is important to note that I rely on my online account information to monitor my financial status, as many modern consumers do, and I had no reason to suspect any discrepancies. However, unbeknownst to me, Mountain America Credit Union had calculated and accrued interest on the balance transfer. This interest was neither included in the initial payoff amount nor clearly disclosed in my online account. Instead, it was concealed within a PDF statement as " balance transfer interest, '' which was neither prominently displayed nor intuitively linked to my account balance. Given the contemporary digital age in which we conduct financial transactions, I did not routinely audit my PDF statements against the online account data, trusting that the XXXX would align. In XXXX of this year, I received a distressing notification from XXXX indicating a XXXX late payment on my credit report due to Mountain America Credit Union XXXX Shocked by this revelation, I promptly contacted them to rectify the situation. I conveyed my concern regarding the apparent discrepancy in my online account and the demand for {$320.00} in balance transfer interest. I also raised the issue of the unfulfilled 3 % cash incentive promised at the time of the balance transfer. Mountain America Credit Union acknowledged the XXXX balance in my online account but insisted that I owed the {$320.00} in accrued interest. They initiated an investigation and initially assured me they would inform the credit bureaus of my account 's good standing. However, subsequent correspondence indicated they would not take this corrective action. Additionally, they informed me that I was ineligible for the 3 % incentive, citing a promotion that commenced shortly after my balance transfer. This entire situation is deeply troubling, as I had significant funds available in my XXXX XXXX Account, a {$30000.00} credit line with a cash advance option, and substantial funds in my checking account throughout this period. Moreover, I have maintained accurate contact information, including email, phone numbers, and a physical mailing address, all of which could have been utilized to notify me of the outstanding balance. My primary complaint revolves around inadequate communication and the severe consequences I have endured, including a precipitous drop in my credit score from XXXX to XXXX overnight. Mountain America Credit Union failed to effectively communicate my outstanding balance, misled me through inconsistent online account information, and obscured the balance transfer interest within a monthly statement that was made available in the same online account that indicated a XXXX balance.

XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ XXXX Mountain America Credit Union Subject : Complaint of Discrimination and Unfair Treatment I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the discriminatory experience I recently had with Mountain America Credit Union. As a valued customer, I expected fair and equitable treatment, but unfortunately, my encounter left me feeling marginalized and disrespected. On XXXX, I visited the branch located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX AZ to open an account. Upon arrival, I was informed by the customer service representative that I was required to provide a physical copy of my Social Security card. However, I explained that I did not possess such a document at the time and was advised by the representative to obtain a printout from the Social Security Administration indicating that the card was being processed and would be delivered soon. I followed their instructions and returned to the branch with the necessary documentation. To my dismay, the customer service representative present at the branch contradicted what I had been told previously. They claimed that there had been a mistake and that I still needed to provide a physical copy of my Social Security card. This conflicting information left me feeling frustrated and deceived, as I had been given false assurances by the sales representative I spoke with over the phone earlier. What concerns me even more is the apparent discrepancy in treatment between customers. It is disheartening to suspect that my experience may have been influenced by factors such as my race or age. As an individual who has been a victim of fraud, I understand the importance of safeguarding personal information. However, it is unjust and discriminatory to insist on a specific document, especially when alternative methods of verification are available. I firmly believe that if I were a middle-aged white male, I would not have been subjected to such treatment. Moreover, I am deeply troubled by the violation of my First Amendment rights. The refusal to accept alternative documents for identity verification not only goes against the principles of the Social Security Act and the Patriot Act but also restricts my freedom of speech and expression. This discriminatory practice has left me feeling marginalized, and it is imperative that immediate action is taken to rectify this situation. I request that Mountain America Credit Union thoroughly investigate this matter and address the discriminatory behavior exhibited by your customer service representatives. I also request that my account be opened without further delay, using alternative forms of identification as permissible by law. Additionally, I would appreciate a formal apology for the distress and inconvenience caused by this discriminatory incident. I have taken the liberty of recording my conversations with your customer service representatives, which provide evidence of the contradictory information and discriminatory treatment I experienced. I am willing to provide these recordings if necessary to support my complaint. I trust that Mountain America Credit Union will take this matter seriously and ensure that such incidents of discrimination are not tolerated within your institution. I expect a prompt response regarding the actions you will take to address and rectify this situation. Failure to do so will leave me with no choice but to escalate this complaint to the appropriate regulatory authorities and seek legal recourse. I look forward to receiving your response within 30 days. Please address all correspondence related to this matter to the contact information provided above. Yours sincerely, XXXX XXXX

I was selling a table on XXXXXXXX XXXX and the person buying used XXXX to pay me for the table. This happened XX/XX/2022. I checked my account and I hadnt received the money so i told the customer i hadnt received the money and they told me i had to download the app to see that it was pending/waiting to enter my mountain america credit union ( MACU ) account. i downloaded the XXXX app to try to figure this payment out with this woman. When i did not see the money she sent on the app i told her that, and she started getting angry and pushing me to refund her back her money. I was trying to be patient with the woman and felt bad that she had payed me for this table and I hadn't received it so now she was out {$150.00} USD. She emailed me from an email that looked like it had come from XXXX and the email stated that she had sent me {$150.00} on the XXXX app and that it was pending. All I had to do was upgrade my XXXX account to a business account then i would receive her payment. So i followed the instructions from the email i had received from XXXX to upgrade my account to a business account, and at the end it instructed me to load {$450.00} dollars onto the app where it would be sent to the woman, then once she received that my XXXX account would be credited my {$450.00} plus the {$150.00} for the table. The woman continued to pressure me to refund her her money back and I did not want to be reported for scamming anyone on XXXX XXXX XXXX and lose the ability to sell on XXXXXXXX XXXX in the future. so i followed the instructions in the email and sent the {$450.00}. immediately after i sent the money i received another email telling me that i owed {$200.00} to go towards a tax for upgrading to a business account then i immediately realized it was a scam and contacted mountain america credit union. i told MACU I had been scammed on XXXX just a few minutes ago and they responded with that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do about that. They did not ask me questions to investigate how i got scammed nor attempted to start a report about the scam. They also told me that many people get scammed from XXXX. I was unhappy with their answer and asked why they ( MACU ) are partnering with a money transfer app that is not secure. I learned about the XXXX app through the MACU institution and they told me they can not help me with my problem nor can they do anything to help me get my money back. I called MACU 3 different times to try to get a hold of their dispute department and they refused to transfer me to the dispute department because they said they could not help me. I only got as far as talking to a customer representative all 3 times i called. I asked them about regulation E and wanting to file a regulation E dispute and they said that XXXX does not fall under that category because it is not considered an electronic transfer. that made no sense to me because i electronically transferred a woman money. All MACU told me is that XXXX is like a cash transaction and once the money is sent it is lost forever. Once again MACU did not take any steps to investigate this scam. I was hoping I could at least get them to investigate this scam and this woman that scammed me so that they could avoid this from happening to anyone else. MACU told me they do not have a department that would investigate a XXXX scam.

Back in XX/XX/XXXX I worked for a company ( XXXX ) based out of XXXXXXXX XXXX This was a remote job from home. I had worked for this company prior in XX/XX/XXXX on the same project remotely as well. I had given them my checking acct info for my checks to be direct deposited never had a problem prior in XXXX. When I worked for them again in XXXX I gave HR the same information for direct deposit as I did in XXXX. My first paycheck was deposited with no problem. The second direct deposit was not showing in my account. I called my bank they told me that it was an error on my employers side, and to contact them. So I did. The HR receptionist pulled mu info up and told me that it shows in their system that my bank had accepted the deposit, and so it is an error on my banks end. Once again I called my bank. They claimed that they could not find the deposit anywhere. I even gave my bank the check number and code if you will from my HR dept so my bank could track it in their system. Still my bank continued to tell me that it was an error on my employers end, and my bank told me that my employer XXXX have deposited my check into another acct. I ended up going into my bank and speaking with the branch manager regarding this issue I had my boyfriend with me as my witness because this was insane. The manager had no answers for me at all. I sat in the bank lobby for an hour and 20 minutes while he went back and forth into their electronic area who handle the deposits which is South of the bank tellers behind the counter. I was told told once again by this branch manager that it was an error on my employers end. Come to find out the bank had deposited my check into another person 's account they claimed that had the same information as mine. And by the time I was informed I had already had my employer cancel that check and mailed me via air mail my check to my residence. The next incident was my employer deosted my check into my account and 7 days later after my bank had cleared the deposit and funds were no longer available. My employer reversed my deposit. My bank allowed this reversal knowing that I did not have the funds in my account to cover this reversal making me XXXX without my consent or contacting me to notify me. I receive calls and emails 2 weeks after the fact that my account was in the negative again. My employer reversed over 100 employees payroll checks from their accts claiming their payroll company over paid some employees. My check was issued in the same amount as the one previously deposited. An email was sent out to HR and all team managers were ordered to take back our checks however they have to or whatever it takes. I have that email. Now I am being sued by my bank for the fault of my employers payroll company plus attorneys fees and court costs. I have had numerous issues with this bank and allowing my account to go in the negative. They have credited my account before over {$400.00} for allowing unauthorized entities to withdraw from my account although the funds are not there t9 cover the amount taken. The bank is Mountain America

I'm disputing two accounts through Mountain America Federal credit Union. When is for an auto loan and a secured credit card and I think it might be line of credit as well. Okay, I was paying out {$30.00} a month extra towards my monthly all alone payments and {$5.00} extra a month for my credit card and I also had my full coverage covered through Mountain America credit Union insurance they have their own insurance options so I went with their insurance through them Mountain America credit Union. This was supposed to cover my payments on my credit card line of credit my insurance for my XXXX and my auto loan payments up to 4 months in case I get XXXX in case of a life happening problem which happened I have XXXX anyway something within my family had happened and I was not able to make my payments because I was not able to work. I was behind almost 2 months on both my insurance payment through them my credit card payment and also of course my auto loan payment. In 2019 somebody had hit my XXXX and it was not drivable. It got impounded and they repoed my car say ing it was because I was behind on my payments and had no insurance coverage. I of course reminded them that I had been paying extra for this coverage which was before the 4-month mark so I should have been covered completely. In any case they said no that is incorrect and there it sets they haven't given me any credit for it they have been reporting twice on me even and they're saying that I owe them over {$8000.00} and that does not include the credit card payment which was supposed to be covered as well of course. I am very frustrated I am disputing all of this through the three credit bureaus XXXX XXXX and XXXX. I asked for some direction on what do I do in case they deny this to you guys as well. I was told well you have the right to call consumer credit reporting services and dispute as well through them and the XXXX XXXX XXXX which as soon as I get off this line get this file for you guys I'm going to contact them as well the XXXX XXXX XXXX I am disputing this because they violated my contract in full I mean they really violated my contract my personal rights and I'm really upset at this not only did that ruin my credit score I'm trying to buy a house and I found out that this is this needs to be taken off in order for me to get any kind of a decent mortgage loan I don't have a car to save my life either I am taking public transportation and I just actually just bought a {$500.00} car which needs a lot of work done to it I'm upset and I have not been treated fairly and this is ths the reason why I am disputing these marks on my credit the collections they have imposed on me and the information they're reporting to the credit bureaus I have been treated unfairly they violated my contract for insurance auto loan and credit card and possible line of credit. Thank you sincerely XXXX XXXX my contact information is and you can text me at this number too if you'd like XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

While checking my MACU account online on XX/XX/23 I noticed a fraudulent charge on my debit card for {$340.00} at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX, Utah. I disputed the claim over the phone with the MACU fraud department and froze my account. I then noticed that while we were on the phone a new charge was added for {$120.00} at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Utah. I went in to the XXXX, Utah branch and disputed that claim and received a new debit card. I received provisional funds to replace the money taken in both fraudulent transactions within the next few days. On XX/XX/23 I received an email from MACU claim support stating that their investigation had found that the first transaction at XXXX 's was not the result of fraud, that my card had been present at the merchant, and since I had claimed card secure, it must have been me initiating the transaction. They said that they will take back the provisional funds to the amount of {$340.00} from my account on XX/XX/23. On XX/XX/23, I received another email regarding the second charge from the XXXX XXXX and stating that the provisional funds given for that transaction to the amount of {$120.00} would be taken from my account on XX/XX/23. I was clocked in at work on XXXX XXXX during the time both transactions were initiated, and I was present at the XXXX branch within XXXX minutes after the second transaction showed on my account, so I could not have been present for either transaction. My card was in my possession with me at work and in the bank and could not have been present for either transaction. No one else with access to my account made the purchases either. I am also frustrated with my treatment by the MACU fraud department. The employee that I spoke with on the phone when I attempted to reopen my disputes did not believe me and treated me as if I was a fraud, a thief, and a liar. They did not give me any information on how I can appeal their denial of my dispute, information to which I am legally entitled, and I was not provided with any documentation of events that cause them to believe my dispute was fraudulent. Two more fraudulent charges for {$300.00} from my XXXX XXXX savings and {$75.00} from my credit card occurred on my online account through fraudulent transfers to other banks on XX/XX/23, which I called the bank to dispute, and my experience with the fraud department was the same. They did not believe my claims that these transactions were fraudulent and they treated me as such. After much back-and-forth trying to prove that I did not initiate those charges, they extended a provisionary credit of {$75.00} for the credit card charge, but have not as of yet extended a credit for the {$300.00} charge. I do not believe that Mountain America Credit Union is doing all it can to protect its members and their funds. I believe that it is an unsafe bank, and I believe that it treats its members poorly.

On XXXX XXXX, 2022, I was at XXXX of XXXX ( AZ ) doing the paperwork to buy my leased vehicle off lease from XXXX. I was told by them that I must go the sales process in order to buy the vehicle. Prior to that scheduled date, I arranged for financing with a local credit union, and provided the approval letter from that credit Union ( XXXX XXXX ) to the salesperson, XXXX. She then took out about 15 or so documents for me to approve and/or sign. One such document was a Credit Application for XXXX, yet I told XXXX that I am not applying for credit through them, I already have a loan ready to go. She said, and I quote, " ... XXXX requires the buyer to complete and sign the form in order to buy the car ... '' Again, this is the car I have been driving on the lease for 2 years, which I am now buying ) XXXX asked me what the XXXX was offering in rates and terms, and I told her. Once we were done, she submitted all the paperwork to the finance team, and XXXX from finance called me into her office. The first thing XXXX presented to me was XXXX documents from Mountain America CU in Utah. I asked her what that was, and she said it was for the financing I asked for. I told her that I did not ask for financing, that i had already arranged for financing. However, since it appears that Mountain America is a partnered company, since they did the same thing 7 years ago when we bought a different vehicle from them. XXXX stated that Mountain America was a " much better company ... '' yet the rate and terms were identical to XXXX. I told her no, and she grabbed to two forms and shredded them. She was visibly angry that I did that. Had this been any other attempt to buy a car, i would have walked out. Now I have learned that Mountain America did a credit check, a hard inquiry, which now shows on our credit report. I never requested nor approved using Mountain America, yet I now have a hard inquiry on my XXXX report, which will remain for 2 years. I asked XXXX ( finance director ) at XXXX to work with Mountain America to remove the inquiry ( which negatively affects my XXXX score ) yet XXXX claims that they are powerless and Mountain America flat out said no, claiming that they would only do if their was a fraudulent application by a 3rd party. I have a family account with XXXX which covers all all of our accounts, allows locks and freezes. Yet we now learn that in order to lock our reports on XXXX XXXX and XXXX, we must join both of them and pay for an account. I believe XXXX misrepresented to me what the Application form would do, and I believe Mountain America should clearly remove the inquiry, since it was done without my request or approval Lastly, I feel it is wrong that XXXX and XXXX XXXX should allow me to lock my reports without paying them each over {$300.00} a year. thank you

On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I withdrew {$39000.00} from my HELOC equity account at Mountain America Credit Union ( MACU ). On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I made a {$140.00} payment. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I made a {$25000.00} payment. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I went to a Branch and asked " What is my payoff amount on my equity account? '' I was told it was XXXX. I paid that amount, received a receipt, and before I left asked " Is my account paid off completely? '' I was told yes, you have a receipt with a XXXX balance and your account ( On the screen ) shows a XXXX balance. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice from MACU that stated I had an unpaid balance of {$49.00} due on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. That I was given a " courtesy '' and it was now due by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Also if I failed resolve it they would send a negative report to the credit bureaus. My wife called the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at the number provided and spent about 2 hours onbthe phone with them and they still could not explain why there was an unpaid balance when, since XXXX XXXX, our statements showed a XXXX balance on the equity account. They told her since it was the weekend they would call back on Monday when the full staff was available. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I went to my branch to try and resolve this. After about 30 minutes they said that when I asked for a payoff amount that they are unable to provide an accurate amount and can only do it on the XXXX of the XXXX when the interest is computed. I asked " how is it that when I asked for a payoff they can not provide me an accurate amount, and how am I supposed to see a balance owed when since XXXX XXXX my account has shown a XXXX balance? ". They could not provide an answer. After a bit he pulled up something on his screen and said that in my " statement '' it says there was a {$49.00} balance. When I pull up my statements from XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX all it shows is a XXXX balance. So I asked again How am I supposed to know there is an outstanding balance and where did it come from? He could not provide an answer. He finally was able to show a screen that had a payoff amount of {$49.00}, but I do not have access to that, and if he could pull that up why did not the teller do that when I asked them too? I did make a payment of {$49.00}, received another receipt showing a XXXX balance, and my app balance still shows a XXXX balance. I am not confident this institution follows federal regulations in their banking practices and in the accuracy of a debt of {$49.00}. Thay can not provide any documentation that shows I incurred this as interest. I can not be the first person this has happened to. How many innocent victims have had negative credit reports due to unprofessional, accounting practices and accuracy?

I'm going through a hardship right now due to being laid off of work. I explained to Mountain America Creidit Union that I was going through a hardship. They placed an extention on my account to miss a month and extend the payment due for 30 days and if I needed more time, to communicate with them. I paid after the extention, the regular car payment. I was falling behind again on the current payments because I just got another job and wasn't going to be getting paid until another 2 weeks. I was sent an email XX/XX/2023 to call Mountain America as soon as possible. I talked to a rep from the bank and told her that I wasn't going to be getting paid until 2 weeks. She said " Ok thank you for letting us know, I'll make a note that your going to be paying in 2 weeks due to getting a new job and having a new payday. '' I also was not told that she was a Senior collector, so I was under the impression that she was a loan officer. She said " we just want to check in to make sure everything is going ok and thank you for updating us. '' She did not tell me that they were going to automatically take out the full payment from my account the next day for XXXX. I had checks pending for utility bills that I had already made arrangments with. Those checks bounced and the bank charged me XXXX non sufficient funds fees XXXX each and my utilities got shut off. If I was told on the phone call with the XXXX collector that the money was going to be taken out automatically the next day on XX/XX/2023, I would have changed the arrangement made with the utility companies. It was misleading for the XXXX collector to tell me " thank you for letting us know, I'll make a note of that '' because I was under the impression, the note she was making was an agreement for me to pay in XXXX weeks. I called the bank and was told if the account goes 45 days late the bank takes out the money automatically. I explained to them that an extension was put on the account due to my hardship and the extension was for 30 days and should not be added into the 45 day count down for automatic deduction from my account. I was told " sorry we can't help you ''. I don't think it was fair for the bank to make a hardship agreement with me but penalize me when I was still curently in the hardship and not explain to me thoroughly what the terms were of the XXXX extension on my account. It was also not fair for them to charge NSF fees twice for money they took out automatically without my authorization or even a notification to let me know it would be deducted from my account. I would have been aware and would have stopped the arrangement with the utilities company who at the time was willing to work with me. Thanks

They jacked me around for 8 months, transferring me from person to person and the last person quite and I didn't find out until 2 months later after I called repeatedly. Please warn people to not use XXXX, wow another scam organization. Also, apparently credit unions don't have to abide by the same rules as XXXX XXXX so they can do whatever they want to you. They are seriously going to kick me. out of. my home for a mere {$8000.00}. I've had several accounts with them for over 30 yrs and run over a million dollars through them, and this is how they treat you when you are down on your luck. During the entire reverse mortgage process I kept XXXX informed about the status and what I was trying to do. After the reverse mortgage didn't work, I told them I would apply for a refinance and pay the loan off completely, and yet they still went ahead with the foreclosure and payment demand. The have been completely unwilling to work with me.

I had amazing credit until recently when XXXX reported that I was past due on my payment some time in XX/XX/XXXX '. When I received an alert saying my credit score had dropped I was dumbfounded to learn that my car loan company was claiming I had not made a payment in two months. Upon checking my account through their app I learned my scheduled payments were no longer being applied for reasons even they could not explain so in XX/XX/XXXX ' I promptly brought my account current and while disappoint it had negatively impacted my credit score I assumed responsibility and made sure my correct card info was there and that I'd get alerts should parents not post going forward. Well it happened again for XXXX. To summarize I'm paying my car note from the same account I've been paying from for the last year and despite the funds being fully available and them confirming per their app payment was posted only for several days later to be returned unpayed without any notice or attempts at contacting me either by phone or even an automated alert to which I'm signed up for leaving me to not see this until I am paying the following month. When I contacted XXXX to gain insight on the matter ( sidenote : I had also been having concerns due to the fact I'd been receiving notices someone accessed my account with my login info when I had not logged in myself ) the representative admitted they had been having issues with alerts and could not give me a reason why they were not sending any email or calls about it and that I'd have to dispute the late payment reported on credit. Well I did dispute the first one and didn't get a clear reason why it hadn't been removed. I'm currently trying to buy my first house and obviously this should be detrimental to the ability to qualify for a loan to do so which has already been a struggle for other reason I'm dispute on another claim. It's clear from my bank statement the funds were available to make the payments and recording from XXXX acknowledging them being unsure why it didn't go through either and the representative inability to remove the late payment status as well.

XX/XX/XXXX Mountain America Credit Union notified me that the person I co-signed was in default on the signature loan. I told them I no longer had any type of communication with that person. They let me know options and I asked them to report that to him instead of me. I asked to pay it off but if I could apply for it on my own so he would not get the credit they said they could not do that so I did not do anything. XX/XX/XXXX my husband and I went to buy a truck but noticed the XXXX collection was the only negative so I asked to do a settlement for {$400.00} when the total owed was {$440.00}. I never received notice they got my offer through email and no one followed up. I had to call each day for two weeks to see where it was and what was happening. Finally a lady called and threatened me and was telling me if I did not pay in full they would charge off immediately ( still wasn't 180 days late ) and they were pulling my credit ( without authorization ) and could see I was delinquent on things. I explained this was the only account I've been delinquent on in almost 10 years, I was only a co-signer and my auto and credit card through them has never been late. I spoke to her manager and he said they could not accept the offer as they'd be losing too much money, I asked {$44.00} was a lot of money? He then went on to say to just pay on it normally. I told him I've never seen the bill since they took it off my account because I was just a co-signer, never received any type of bill from them so how would I know how to pay it. I still have not received the bill that he said he would send on XX/XX/XXXX but called in and made a payment by phone after being transferred to various people who had no clue what was happening and come to find out XX/XX/XXXX that they froze all my accounts because of this {$380.00} collection.

I have been going back and forth with this company by the name of Mountain America Credit Union about an account on my credit report. This started back in XXXX when I noticed a fraudulent account on my credit report by a company named Mountain America Credit Union, I disputed this account right away and it was removed from my credit report. Well recently the account appeared back on my XXXX credit report, but it was never removed from my XXXX or XXXX report. I have been in contact with a one of the employees by the name of XXXX XXXX. I have been informed by her that I had needed to get a new police report, which I did in XXXX of XXXX. Also upon talking to XXXX I found out that many accounts were opened in my name and date of birth but a different social. I didn't know how this was even possible or how Mountain America Credit Union would let something like this happen. Well once they received a copy of my new police report, I was thinking the account would be removed but it wasn't. I have been told by XXXX XXXX that this will take some time and to basically be patient. Well I have been patient for over 2 years going back and forth with this company. This is ridiculous. I keep disputing the account with the credit bureaus but Mountain America Credit Union keep validating the account as accurate, when clearly this is a identity theft account. I have written communication with XXXX XXXX saying this is a fraudulent account, but yet this accounts continues to be verified every time they receive a dispute letter. I want this account removed immediately. I filed a complaint with the CFPB before and it was stated in the finding that this account is a result of identity theft. Please remove this account from my credit report immediately.

My mortgage payments were showing up as not posted after I had paid them starting in XXXX, 2021. I called and inquired about it and was told everything was fixed and to continue making my payments in full on the XXXX of each month. I received correspondence in XXXX saying I was 2 months behind on payments. I again called the company and was told to disregard the letter because it was taking them longer to post things due to COVID. I saw my FICO score declining and missing payments stacking up to total 4 months of missing payments reported to the credit agencies even though I had proof of them coming out of my checking account. I spoke in person with the manager of Mountain America Credit Union XXXX XXXX Utah branch, XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/2021 and was told he would contact the mortgage company they were working through and fix the problem. After considerable effort on my part, they agreed to correct the problem and provided me with a letter from Mountain America saying the reinstatement request had been mailed on XX/XX/2021. There was no evidence of who the letter was mailed to, or what it stated, and I was never given a copy of the request even though I asked for it multiple times. I have attempted to confirm with the 3 principal credit bureaus that they received the request and none of them can confirm. Consequently, my credit has been harmed to my financial detriment. I am currently trying to refinance my house and we are having a lot of difficulty with that and I am not able to get the discounted rates that would be available if my credit was not harmed like it is. I respectfully request that CFPB demand prompt action by Mountain America Credit Union so my credit score can be repaired and corrected before my new loan closes.

I sent MOUNTAIN AMERICA CREDIT UNION a usps money order with stipulations and provisions on the money order stating the following I accept your offer in the amount of {$700.00} for valuable consideration & tender this payment for the complete amount in accord & satisfaction upon redeeming this instrument. MACU accepted my money order through the mail according to postal rules, and is not recognizing the debt paid in full. As a fiduciary holding my property in the form of my signature they are not doing their trustee duties and stating I owe the debt still, which is extortion. I placed on the money order XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that states a ) If tender of payment of an obligation to pay an instrument is made to a person entitled to enforce the instrument, the effect of tender is governed by principles of law applicable to tender of payment under a simple contract. This complaint is for a collection account on my XXXX credit report. The account showing is Mountain America CU. Listed XXXX/2019. It has them as a lender. I have not taken out any loan or account with this company. For my report it does not show any account number just X 's and the amount showing is {$1.00}. I have contacted this company on several occasions and not able to get an resolution. I have spoken with customer service and fraud departments. Either some representatives are not able to either verify me ( which would make sense ), and others pick up info regarding an entirely different person. Provided address and that is not what they have on file for any account. I have asked for detailed information to be sent regarding account to me but they have yet to do so. Some stating since they are not able to verify then they can send. I notified them if that is the case how you are reporting something to the credit companies? This collection account is false, erroneous and fraudulent. Is it not true that a company has to notify a customer before placing items on a credit report. I never received any notification. This account is fraudulent, and has negatively impacted my credit and personal life for years. Please remove this account from my XXXX report and as well any information regarding this account.

I deposited a {$15000.00} cashier check drawn off XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the ATM of Mountain America Credit Union on XX/XX/XXXX. Upon deposit {$1500.00} was released immediately. The remainder of the funds were released at midnight on XX/XX/XXXX. I used some of the released funds and in addition my paycheck was electronically deposited on XX/XX/XXXX. At approximately XXXX Mountain America fraud department called to inform me they put a new hold on my funds. They said this was due to a lot of fraud and they felt the check looked suspicious. I expressed to them in multiple phone calls to multiple representatives that they now have taken all my funds including my paycheck and have left me with no money. I am an over the road truck driver and am stranded now with no access to money. With the new hold of the entire check my account is now overdrawn by {$7800.00}. Due to the fact that I had already paid bills with the released funds. Theses funds should have been easy to verify as it is a Bank Cashier Check. They have had 4 business days to verify this check. They will not give me a date for release, but said it's could take as long as XX/XX/XXXX. That would be a total of 11 business days after deposit. This is excessive to verify a Bank issued cashiers check, and well outside thier normal release policy.

I have a new loan with MACU, for a class C camper, but I am having issues getting the title from them. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I co-signed on a loan for my son-in-law, for this camper ... no issues here. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, my daughter and son-in-law broke up, so I bought the camper from him ... financing the loan, again, through MACU. -As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I still haven't received the title, in order to register with my home state of Missouri XXXX At this point, I'm on my 2nd payment on the loan, but I can't get tags and I'm facing late penalties from the state for being late. XXXXMountain America CU has stated to me that the only thing holding up the title, is that the seller needs to sign/notorize another form ... which they stated that they initially had in their system, but lost at some point. Email attached showing that they had it in their system. -Mountain America CU has already sent the seller his proceeds of $ XXXX, so he has no initiative to help in any way. I realize that they need certain documentation, but this was an error on their part ( losing the seller 's signed form ) and I am the one stuck with no resolution and facing penalties. Communication has been terrible, through the whole process, but a few of the people I've dealt with have been very nice ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ).

My wife and I run a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and have a checking account at Mountain America Credit Union ( MACU ). A check for {$250.00} that was mailed at the post office on XX/XX/2023 to our accountant was intercepted in the mail and " washed '' and deposited into a fraudsters account for {$16000.00} on XX/XX/2023. I noticed the bad check the next time I was logged in to manage the account which was 13 days after it was posted to the account. I immediately notified the police and the credit union. MACU has taken the position that unless I report a bad check within one day of it posting to the account, they take no responsibility for paying my money to a fraudster. This is absurd. I have a business to run and don't log in to check my account every single day. I have spoken with other banks and credit unions in my area and have been told that they do not have this policy so it appears that MACU is out of line with the industry here and throwing their members who are victims of fraud under the bus. As of XX/XX/2023 I have been trying to get an update on the case from MACU. I have left 4 voice mails and an email over the last couple of weeks for the person in the fraud department handling the case and have received no response. This very frustrating and unprofessional.

1.I have a conventional first mortgage with Mountain America Credit Union that I opened on XX/XX/XXXX. I always made my payments on time. In XX/XX/XXXX we had trouble making our payment due to COVID. We reached out to the credit union and informed them the payment would be late and we made the payment on XX/XX/XXXX of {$1500.00}. This was the payment that was due in XXXX. Without my knowledge, the credit union did not follow the Care Act and marked me 30 day late on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX. Recently I got a job in a near bye city. Since the commute is long, we decided we wanted to sell our home and purchase another one closer to work. When I applied for the new mortgage, we found out about the 30 day late. I was surprised since I know the Cares Act does offer relief for COVID related issues with making your mortgage payment. I reached out to my credit union to inquire as to why they were not following the Cares Act and they would not give me a straight answer and required me to submit a dispute online. I could not talk to anyone and after waiting for weeks I got a letter in the mail saying they are not going to change any of my reporting.

On XX/XX/23 I made 3 hotels reservations, ( 2 in Utah, & 1 in Nevada ) using my Mountain America Credit Union, ( MACU ) Visa credit card. On Monday XX/XX/23 when checking my visa account on line I noticed there were 2 separate fees 1 for {$3.00}, the other for {$.00} with the description of, " card fee visa international service assessment date card '' .These fees were above and beyond the charges for the hotels I had made. I went to MACU XXXX UT branch and inquired as to what these charges were for. Spoke to a teller XXXX who informed me that this was a charge applied by hotels.com for making an international transaction of some sort. This was not an international charge, it was made in the U.S. for hotels located in the U.S. He ( XXXX ) went and got his supervisor who refused to remove the fees and told me I'd have to contact hotels.com. I finially got a hold of a customer service representative from XXXX and they informed me that they did not apply the charge that I would have to contact the bank. I being given a run around by these jerks who have charged me fees for some sort of international service that is absolutely out of line and rediculous.

I sale packages of meat for a living and on XX/XX/2021 I sold a package to a customer by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX, for the standard {$250.00} fee. The funds were given to me via personal check from XXXX in the amount of {$250.00} and was dated XX/XX/2021. Almost 9 months later I received a notice from a XXXX XXXX XXXX Utah legal defender, XXXX XXXX, stating that the check was cashed for {$1200.00} and that I was facing up to three years in prison being charged with Theft By Deception. I was able to pull a copy of the check and it does appear that someone had written a line in the numeric box amount on the check making the amount appear to be {$1200.00}. The legal line # XXXX however was written out as Two hundred and Fifty dollars. I did not receive an extra {$1000.00} as I am being accused of. I do not know where the extra $ 1,000.oo went but I do believe this to be a bank error as the legal line had the amount written as two hundred and fifty dollars.

I am resubmitting a complaint against Mt. America Credit Union as I have found out they are done similar things as they did to my mother. Mt. America allowed a person with a TRO against them to withdraw funds from my mother 's account and refused to pay back the money. They refused to honor an agreement we had to do a work out loan to cover a visa debt, they turned over to a collection agency we continued to work out the debt and they had agreed to reduce the amount of the debt in half. After my mother died they took the debt back from the collection agency and are demanding full payment of the debt against my mother 's estate. As you can see by the complaints to the XXXX XXXX XXXX we are not the first people they have acted unethically with and done illegal transactions with their funds. They exposed my mother 's financial information and funds to a person with a TRO against. As a concerned family member I am asking that they be held accountable.

I made my payment directly on the MACU website in advance of the due XX/XX/2023 date to pay the balance in full to {$0.00}. They still charged me {$270.00} in interest. They are stating it is because the interest that was charged was accrued from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX from the balance transfers that were made in XXXX. I had no idea that balance transfers do not have a grace period before interest starts accruing like purchases do. If this was disclosed at all, it is buried in the fine print somewhere and not easy to find or know from a customers perspective. It is very unfair to charge customer interest this way as most banks do not charge interest if a balance is paid in full before the due date regardless of whether it's a balance transfer or purchase. At the end of the day, I paid this balance in full prior to the due date and it's very unfair to still assess a customer interest when they did the right thing.

Ive reached out to XXXX several times disputing this and requesting a removal of the rolling 120 day from my credit reports. They refuse to remove this from my credit report. It is still appearing on my XXXX Credit Report. I lost my job during covid, the company I worked for closed. I applied for a forbearance of my HELOC which I received. During that time each month the non-payments were submitted to the credit bureau agencies. XXXX indicated that I had a late payment prior to that. This account was brought current in XXXX XXXX 2022, all payments are up to date. Therefore, I requested that the rolling 120 late be removed, they have refused. This is a problem as Im in the process of applying for a reverse mortgage which would pay off the HELOC. This issue is an obstacle to my ability of being accepted. I would appreciate any assistance in getting this matter resolved.

On XX/XX/2023, we were balancing our XXXX statement and saw a charge that was fraudulent. This charge was for the amount of {$1200.00} as an XXXX withdrawal from XXXX on XX/XX/2023. We immediately advised our bank who advised that they would look into and open up a dispute. Mountain America Credit Union advised us that due to their XXXX rules and policies, they would not be able to refund us the monies as they had a TRACE ID that connected the charge to XXXX and we would need to consult XXXX for the refund of monies. We contacted XXXX who advised that the charge did not come from them of which they provided us additional documentation stating such and advised us that we would have to open up case with Mountain America Credit Union. We provided the documentation directly to Mountain America Credit Union and they advised that they would not do anything for us.

I did a XXXX transfer of money just like I've done for years and it still isn't in my Mountain America Credit Union account. It was on XX/XX/XXXX for {$590.00}, I even paid a {$9.00} fee to make it an instant transfer to pay my mortgage, and now have an over draft charge and this will lead to more overdraft charges for my auto pays if its not there very soon. I spent hours on the phone with XXXX, and they say it went just like it always has with no issues on their side. XXXX suggested I call Mountain America Credit Union, so I did, and spent hours with them saying they can't find my {$590.00}. I have proof on the XXXX side that I receiced the money and it was transferred to my Mountain America. Neither institution admits to having my money. I don't know what to do to get my money in the bank to cover my obligations. Please help me! Thanks

I refinanced my husbands loan for his XXXX because he had just passed away and I need to sell the XXXX. Getting the title for the motorcycle was so difficult as I was given misinformation which delayed receiving the title, and then it arrived in my husbands name erroneously. But even worse, while I was trying to get the loan refinanced into my name the person, XXXX, at Mountain America Credit Union ( MACU ) tried to sell me a multi level marketing scheme that was an outside job he had. He was targeting me when I was at my most vulnerable, not to mention this was completely unprofessional and dishonest to sell from his side job to me at the bank he works at ( having nothing to do with his job at MACU ). He called and texted me from his personal phone regarding the multi level marketing scheme.

After not being told that there was at least a 1 month delay in receiving debit cards that would be shipped to me after opening the account, I went into the branch where a gentleman was happy to print me a card on the spot. This was never advertised as something that would be possible, nor was I told that they were way behind on sending out cards that were ordered on their website. Upon leaving the bank with my new debit card issued, I noticed that a {$5.00} fee was placed on my account that I was never told about for issuing the card. I called into their contact center and was told that a credit would appear on my account within 3 days, but that never happened either. I have had other issues with XXXX already, but this is really the last straw for me.
