I applied for a HELOC with a lender. After applying, I was bombarded with phone calls from mortgage brokers with no apparent affiliation to the lender I submitted the application with. One of those brokers was MortgagePros , LLC and their representative XXXX XXXX ( XXXX : XXXX ). During our interaction it was made clear that I was interested in a HELOC. After obtaining my information and claiming to look for the offers in my best interest, it became clear the broker was fixated on a cash out refinance of my existing mortgage with no intent to fulfill my request for a HELOC. I explained my intent to repay the HELOC within a short time period as opposed to the 28 years remaining on my mortgage. XXXX XXXX was relentless in his attempts to sway me toward the refinance, a move that would have ended up costing me close to $ XXXX more.
Current Mortgage Remaining Term Balance : $ XXXX 3.5 % for 28 Years = $ XXXX Requested HELOC : $ XXXX 12.9 % for 15 Years = $ XXXX That totals $ XXXX over the life of both loans and I had no intent of letting the HELOC balance carry for more than 3 years.
MortgagePros LLC was pushing me toward a cash out refinance, which would have been approximately $ XXXX 6.5 % for 28 Years = $ XXXX

I have received over XXXX unwanted phone solicitations today from Mortgage Pros XXXX. They use over XXXX different numbers so it's impossible to block them. I have asked at least XXXX representatives not to call here and told them they do not have permission to call me. The last representative said too bad he is going to keep calling. I hung up then he immediately called me 4 consecutive times. I have never seen such targeted harassment.

I recently refinanced my home with Mortgage Pros, a XXXX based loan orginator. I was allowed two months of time before I needed to pay again. That month is this XXXX. I have repeatedly contacted the loan officer for details but have been ignored by text, telephone and email. I fear a default or foreclosure in the future.
