XXXX filed a lawsuit which I did not contest and call and set up payments with their attorney. I called and satisfied the debt and received a paid in full letter in XX/XX/XXXX. I am attempting to refinance my home and discovered that while my consumer report shows the balance as XXXX, the attorneys office never filed the proper papers with the court to show the judgement as satisfied. I have called the attorney misled me into thinking that they had sent the letter to my local court clerks office to show the judgement was satisfied. After waiting 7 days for the letter to arrive, the attorney for the mortgage broker I am working with called and finally got the truth from XXXX the rep we had been speaking with. The truth is that the letter was sent to their local attorney in Tennessee, and he will into sign and send the letter to the court in XXXX, Tn. According to XXXX this process could take 30 to 60 days. I lived up to my part and paid the judgement in full. It has been 14 months and the attorneys office has not sent the letter to the court saying that the judgement has been satisfied and now they want me to wait 30 to 60 days longer. By the time this is done if it is done as they say, my refinance will be denied.
