In XXXX XXXX I enrolled in a debt management program with XXXX. In XXXX XXXX, with less than a week before my account was to be debited for the XX/XX/XXXX payment, XXXX informed me that my program was being transferred to Money Management International ( MMI ). Apparently there was nothing I could do to prevent this transfer from occurring.Knowing that my bank would need specific information about MMI before it would honor the XX/XX/XXXX transaction and with less than a week before it was to occur, I began reaching out to MMI to secure the information my bank would need. I even contacted MMI by email and told them that unless someone specifically spoke with me by phone to get this information, I would authorize my bank not to honor the transaction should MMI try to withdraw the funds. MMI if they tried to contact me, did so as an " unavailable '' or " unknown '' caller - I do not answer such calls unless I recognize the number. " MMI '' or the full company name never appeared on my caller ID.Over then next month, I repeatedly tried to speak with someone at MMI regarding my " new '' account. In the meantime, I received an email from MMI with a mound of paperwork for me to complete for my " new account ''. I contacted someone and spoke to a rep who was unable to locate my account ( because I had n't completed the paperwork for a " new account '' ) ; I ca n't even remember how many times I had to tell the rep that my account was n't " new '' but rather transferred against my wishes. I also mentioned several times that I needed to speak with someone regarding my account and why ( bank information ) - the line was disconnected. I tried calling back and was unable to get through. Waited a bit and tried a third, fourth, even fifth and more times but was unable to even get through. In XXXX XXXX, despite my repeated attempts to secure the necessary information from MMI for my bank, MMI tried to draft the XX/XX/XXXX payment. Because I had not yet spoken with MMI, I did not transfer the money into the account ( hence MMI 's " claim '' of " insufficient funds '' (? -seriously?? ) ) as a safety measure until I had the opportunity to speak with them. XX/XX/XXXX, MMI finally reached out to me and spoke with me. It took two months before I had the information to forward to my bank. Two weeks later, I had an email from MMI indicating that one of my creditors had rejected payment and after speaking with the creditor, I found out that because it had taken MMI so long to actually speak to me ( for what amounted to about 10 minutes of basic information gathering ), the creditor had turned an account less than 60 days past due over to its collections dept. Not only that, but a payment that should have been made within five business days to my creditors had taken two weeks for MMI to deliver! MMI refused to find a way to ensure the XX/XX/XXXX payment was expedited to this creditor in particular and instead took another two weeks to attempt to send payment. When I contacted this particular creditor, I was given an new payment address. This second address again proved to be the wrong address, so while MMI sent the payment to the updated address, the XX/XX/XXXX and two XX/XX/XXXX payments were rejected once again. It took until XX/XX/XXXX before MMI contacted me and tried working with me.MMI refused to reach out to this creditor unless I was on the line ( my XXXX paperwork authorizes XXXX and now MMI to handle working with my creditors ; I do not need to be on the line for this ) and a conference call XX/XX/XXXX revealed that there was a third " new '' payment address ( clearly a creditor issue ). MMI updated their payment records but it was a nightmare getting MMI to cooperate to send the rejected XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payments to this new address. MMI also refused to expedite these payments as well.XX/XX/XXXX-MMI drafts account, payment made by MMI XXXX! Is it any wonder this creditor has revoked the program agreement?

I was referred to Money Management International by my bank as a method to overcome a mounting credit card debt issue pertaining to unsteady employment. I had previous consolidated with a personal loan but quickly built up the balance on my cards again. MMI set up 5 year plan, and most accounts are being repaid on schedule except for the largest account, the personal loan. In the nearly three years so far, several payments have come in close calls of being late. Despite the money being taken from my account the month prior. Check are lost and the follow up process is often left to me. This particular occasion a check was unaccounted for for nearly 25 days, and luckily my loan service reached out and I was able, with some financial strain, to make that payment directly. Reaching out to MMI they said they would send their research team on it, and would determine if the check was lost. I updated them with all the information from the lender and gave clear instructions to cancel their check and refund my payment. They refused to comply saying they must determine if other checks from other payers are included in that lost batch so therefore I must wait at their convenience to receive a credit. I spoke very clearly to the customer service a second time, after not receiving follow up from the research team, that I can not trust a company that puts the error of lost payment on my burden to solve and cover, let alone wait 30+ days for a resolution. I have not received any resolution and my financial status is strained because of this. I have never been late with my commitment to MMI and I feel trapped.

XX/XX/XXXX, I enrolled in a Debt Consolidation program with Money Management International. There were 4 credit cards rolled into the program. XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX respectively. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I began making payments with MMI debt program with the impression that my accounts were negotiated and that everything was being handled accordingly It was only until XXXX of this year XXXX, after reviewing my credit report, that I realized, ONE of my XXXX XXXX Credit Cards was marked LATE three months in a row. XXXX, XXXX, XXXX of XXXX, were counted as consecutively late, on only ONE of XXXX CREDIT CARDS When I tried contacting XXXX XXXX to ask the reason, they said I had an outstanding balance during XXXX, XXXX, XXXX of XXXX. However, to my dismay, I was NOT alerted by XXXX XXXX, nor MONEY MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL of the past due status. Had I been made aware of it at that time, I would have paid the PAST DUE BALANCE, immediately. In asking for a positive resolution, XXXX XXXX told me to defer to MMI. The same day, I contacted MONEY MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL to try to clarify the situation. Money Management confirmed that the payments were being made to XXXX XXXX on a timely basis. That there must have been some lapse between months. In essence, I have the two companies pointing the finger at the other. While both tell me it's not their problem to fix. And I am now stuck with an adverse CREDIT SCORE, because of it. I was making a concerted effort to FIX my CREDIT, not destroy it. PLEASE HELP ME

I started this program in debit consolidating program 2012 and was told and agreed to pay back debts to debtors. I am just about finished with the program and have paid for 5 years. Was told in the beginning what my monthly payments would be and what was owed. There also was not supposed to be no more interested accrued only pay what was agreed. Now that I am almost finished the program they tacked on a 6 % interest to XXXX my last debtor for the last payment. The agreement was when I subscribed to this program was the debt would not accrue any more interest matter of fact they would stop at that point of the agreement. Money Management took over this program in XX/XX/XXXX it is was XXXX and now they have allowed this to accrue and that was my original agreement that I had with XXXX. XXXX sold their program to Money Management and now they have changed the rules. They are allowing interest to accrue and not during the time you are paying it be after you are almost completed the program. I feel this is unfair practices and misleading the consumers. They changed the policy after I have diligently paid this program for 5 years. Now they send me a statement stating estimate that was done when I first started the program and it was supposed to have been finalized what I owed, what I had to pay monthly and time span for program completed. However, they tacked on interest for my last payment added in another XXXX after I had finished the program.

On XX/XX/2023 I enrolled in a debt management program ( DMP ) with Money Management International ( MMI ). I included 3 XXXX XXXX credit cards in the DMP. two of the card 's due dates were XXXX and the other was XXXX. before enrolling in the program I advised my counselor XXXX that I would not make the payments for XXXX since I was enrolling in the program. He stated that would be fine because the creditor would receive the payment from MMI in XXXX. I had no idea that MMI would not send the payment to XXXX XXXX until the XXXX of XXXX. I also had no idea that because they were sending the payments so late after my due date I would become overdue with my payments and that I would be reported to the credit bureau as 30 days late with my payments. The purpose of enrolling in the DMP was to protect my credit not to destroy it. This has caused my credit score to drop. I have made several calls to MMI the people are not knowledgeable at all. No one wants to assist me. I was told by one rep at MMI to change my due date with the creditor unfortunately I can not do that because the account is closed. I feel like I was not presented with all of the information that I needed when enrolling in the DMP. I've asked to speak with a supervisor and no one has called me back. This is extremely frustrating. I had to make an extra payment of {$130.00} on today to bring all three cards current.

MMI -- Money Management Incorporated has refused to meet with me. It is advertised that they have face to face meeting which that is my choice. I made an appointment for XXXX XXXX of this year. A day before the appointment I was told that the counselor would n't be able to meet with me and that they want to reschedule. I was a little upset because I really need to get with someone to help me. I told them to cancel the meeting altogether. After that I looked around and realized there are no other reputable debt relief services in my city so I called them back to schedule another appointment. This was for another Thursday ( the XXXX ) and the day before, they called and said they needed to reschedule with the person I was supposed to meet with face to face. They would call me back with another date and time to meet face to face with me. Now they are telling me that there are no more face to face meetings only phone counseling. I do not want to deal with my financial future OVER THE PHONE. I am very upset with this company and they do not seem willing to help unless it fits in with their schedule. They advertise that they have face to face meetings with clients. I asked them why they did n't have any more face to face meetings and she only said that she can give me a telephone appointment. She would never really say why I could n't have one.

I lost my job XX/XX/22. Became late and overwhelmed by my debts. I asked for help thru my bank and was deferred to XXXX XXXX. AT FIRST IT WAS GOOD, they said they need {$130.00} per month automatically taken from my checking. And my understanding was,,,, they negotiate a lower interest, and make small payments TO EACH CREDITOR. HOWEVER, they soon said they needed {$190.00} to pay my creditors. I agreed. They also told me Im 150 % below poverty level. I can agree because I can barely make it. I now have applied for Food Stamps. Ps. My complaint is that,, they constantly tell me I am BEHIND ON MY Zpayments and how could this be when THEY CLEARLY ARE TAKING THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT EACH SOCIAL SECURITY PAY PERIOD. I do not understand, and they do not know how to explain to me clearly. In XXXX I could not allow the withdraw of {$190.00} from XXXX. THEY WERE NOTIFIED, said fine, and resumed in XXXX. Now I get letters each week, and notices from my bank credit cards that are to be managed by XXXX. THE STRESS IS KILLING ME.

We went through a HARP program that insisted as part of the process we sign up with a finical counseling agency to help consolidate and lower interest rates on credit cards. We did so and paid a monthly fee and they did not pay the money to the credit card accounts as promised. They deducted the money on time but did not pay the creditors on time and we were forced to pay it ourselves and our credit went from XXXX to XXXX in a matter of months. They repeated told us that it was the creditors fault that they were the ones that changed the process. We have paid all but one on our own but this should not have occurred. The company has never attempted to make good or even contact us again. This was a forced issue by the bank. CCCS was their name, based out of Texas.

Started doing business with MMI in XX/XX/XXXX as a debt management program. They told me that my creditors agreed to stop reporting late payments to credit bureaus and that was false. Creditors were still reporting as late. I called and requested a refund for the monthly service fee due to the inaccuracies of their promises and they refused.
