I was contacted by Mnet Financial ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX ) initially where they said that I owed their company a debt of {$530.00}. I told the representative of Mnet Financial that I would remit payment to the owners of the debt which is XXXX XXXX XXXX. At that time, I submitted a payment to XXXX. Shortly after, Mnet contacted me again asking for {$530.00}, and when I explained that I made a partial payment to XXXX, I was instructed to stop paying them and to remit payment to Mnet, as XXXX would no longer be accepting payment from me and that the debt was now owned by Mnet. I stated that I would not be making any future payments until I was sent an accurate invoice. The representative attempted to argue with me, but eventually agreed to send an updated invoice taking into account the amount I said that I had already remitted to XXXX. When the updated invoice was received, I made another partial payment ( 4 times the minimum monthly payment that Mnet said was required ). Several weeks later, Mnet contacted me stating that they need payment again. I requested an updated invoice which would acknowledge my previous payment. The representative stated, " No. We do n't do that. '' I explained that I would make no further payments without an invoice. The representatives continued to call asking for payment. Each time, I requested an invoice be mailed to me, they refused repeating the same answer, " We said we do n't do that. '' The very last time they called, the representative of Mnet stated that I owed an amount which was {$60.00} over the amount that I knew I owed. I still have the original invoice sent by XXXX, and I have copies of the cashed checked from the bank, so I knew that I did not owe this amount. I asked for an invoice again, and the representative refused again. At this point, I ended the call. I called Mnet later that day to request proof of their ownership of the debt. I said, " Earlier today, I asked for an invoice. I would like an invoice to be sent to me. '' The response I received was, " And we told you we do n't do that. '' I responded, " Well I contacted an attorney about my rights, and I need to see proof of the ownership of the debt. '' At this point, the representative immediately disconnected the call. Weeks later, I received an invoice with a different amount than what the representative was asking for on the phone call. Mnet has continually used the tactic of misrepresenting the owner of the debt, and have added on additional fees to the balance even though the debt owner has not expressed in writing that these fees were legitimate charges or even expressed a description of the fees. While I was able to identify this, and not agree to simply continue paying them with no documented evidence that my payments, in their entirety, are being remitted to the actual debt owner, I have reason to believe that this company is taking advantage of other individuals who may not question the additional fees and charges, or even the validity of the debt.

Today, XX/XX/22, XXXX from Mnet Financial called me, stating I had unpaid medical debt and that I had to pay more than I was paying or it would go into their collections. ( I am in pre collection ) when this originally started the first representative told me to make an account and I could monitor everything online. We'll after several attempts, and the account never working, I had to call them back, and another representative sent me " coupons '' and told me there was one for every month till I paid the debt as I couldn't only afford {$25.00} a month. By the well if you look up the company you'll see I'm not the only one scammed out of being able to use their website. So they never sent me a statement or anything to verify my debt or balance. I paid my payments on time every month for almost 3 years. XXXX lies to me and tells me they are only allowed to send one year of coupons. But I state that can't be true as I have been paying for years. XXXX then says, she was mistaken it could be a year and a half. Again a lie as I'm almost at 3 years. She then threatens that if I don't get my remaining debt resolved in a year it will go into collection. I respond how I've paid on-time and I'm never late. And I would like a statement to verify this, since I was under the impression that I had recently paid it off after going through all the coupons. At which point XXXX says I have been paying this debt for almost 3 years and I have to pay it off within a year now. So I called her out, that she just said I've bee. Paying it for 3 years, but earlier stated I was only able to get a year and then a year and a half of coupons. And I said if I only got the coupons in the beginning and I've been paying for 3 years that makes your earlier statement a lie again. Now she's claiming she never said it and is getting loud and aggressive in her speech and tone.i asked to speak with a manager and was denied. I asked for a written statement of what I Owen and proof that I owe it and was denied. So I have no idea if I really owe any debt at all. AND XXXX who would not give me her last name, lying to me multiple times, and changing the story. If I do I fact owe this money, and I am a good payer, always paying my bill on time, why can't they verify it with written documentation?

MNET Financial shows up on my XXXX Credit report as of XX/XX/2018. I have written MNET on 3 occasions to validate this alleged debt and they completely have ignored my letters via the U.S. Mail. The 30 days they had as per the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act have passed and therefore, it is a frivolous claim on their behalf. They have failed to notify me of my right to dispute the debt ( Section 809 FDCPA ). They never responded and they failed to verify of the debt. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act States " If a consumer sends a written dispute or request for verification within 30 days of receiving the 1692g notice, then the debt collector must either mail the consumer the requested verification information or cease collection efforts altogether. Such asserted disputes must also be reported by the creditor to any credit bureau that reports the debt. Verification should include at a minimum the amount owed and the name and address of the original creditor. '' They have failed. Additionally, being a resident in the state of Texas, MNET Financial also has willfully violated the Texas Fair Debt Collections Practice Act, State Statue 392.202. They have notified me to please send them confirmation of the final XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX disposition so they can further investigate. As of XX/XX/2018 : 1 .I have also notified the Federal Trade Commission . 2. I have also sent a formal complaint to the Texas Attorney General 's Office. 3. I have spoken to outside counsel and presented all of the evidence of this willful and deliberate violation where it is also causing continued financial harm. MNET Financial , Inc. until the close of business on XX/XX/2018 to remove and delete this credit trade-in from XXXX or I will file a lawsuit both in State and Federal Court against MNET Financial for willfully violating all Acts and causing continued financial harm by being denied credit and employment. Best, XXXX XXXX XXXX

This time I spoke with XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/2017. The last conversation was with a representative in XXXX. XXXX XXXX refused to provide last name or any contact information. He said he was the only XXXX XXXX at the call center and there was only one call center.

I received a letter in response to a dispute that merely had the amount I supposedly owe and verbaige that simply stated it was validated. I do not recall this debt. I reached out to both the original creditor and insurance company MNET referred me to and neither have any information regarding me or this account.

MNET stated they validated the debt by confirming it with the original creditor and that they do not have proof just the original creditor saying it was mine. It is not.

I requested proof in the dispute request. Proof they own or were assigned the account. Proof of the amount and supporting documentation not just their say so.

I never received any written or verbal correspondence outside of a recent letter saying this is yours and you owe {$860.00}.

They kept telling me today the limitation of 30 days is up and they do n't have to provide proof. What 30 days. I noticed this in XXXX on my credit report and disputed right away.

The FDCPA ( Fair Debt Collection Practice Act ) If a collection agency cant validate the debt, the credit bureau can not list it as a negative mark on your credit report.

The FCBA ( Fair Credit Billing Act ) also states that they can not validate a debt with a credit bureau until they provide me with validation. They have validated and I have no validation. They validated with XXXX not with me.

XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. A partial payment was made on this day, prior to XXXX. A month later, I received a final billing statement with the final amount due, which I paid immediately in full. About XXXX of XXXX, I received a phone call from someone ( not sure who ) saying I still had an outstanding amount for {$100.00}, but they couldn't tell me what it was for ( note : this was over two years after my XXXX ). I then asked for a detailed billing statement because I wasn't going to pay for something until I knew what it was for. They couldn't even tell me the date ( s ) of service. Two months later I received the detailed billing statement and it showed a {$0.00} balance, so I did what any reasonable person would do. I ignored it assuming they had made an error on their part. XX/XX/XXXX, I received notice from a collection agency. The amount due was {$100.00}. A week later I received a phone call from the collection agency about the amount due. I subsequently told them I would mail them a copy of the billing statement that shows a {$0.00} balance and I didn't owe anything. I also informed them in writing to stop contacting me. XXXX XXXX I received another statement from this collection agency demanding payment of {$100.00}. The same company I explicitly requested not to contact me, and if they did, they would be violating the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act ( FDCPA ), and they did just that. Not only that, but they sent me a copy of the detailed billing statement, but the difference between their copy and mine was the " Balance Due {$0.00} '' was omitted. Imagine that.

On XX/XX/2023, I received a collection letter from MNET Financial LLC. In response, I promptly sent a verification letter via XXXX with certified mail on the same day. However, instead of providing the information requested, MNET Financial LLC sent a fabricated statement dated XX/XX/2023, containing generic information readily available on the internet. This statement did not verify my identity or validate the debt in question. MNET Financial LLC failed to fulfill the following obligations : 1. **Written Agreement : ** They did not provide a copy of the original written agreement that established my obligation to pay. 2. **Billing Statement : ** MNET Financial LLC did not supply the last billing statement from the original creditor. Instead, they created a fictitious one after receiving my verification of debt letter. 3. **Debt Acquisition Date : ** The date they acquired this debt from the original creditor was not disclosed. 4. **Debt Due Date and Delinquency : ** They did not specify when the creditor claimed the debt became due or when it became delinquent. XXXX. **Collection License : ** MNET Financial LLC did not confirm if they held a valid debt collection license in my state. They omitted providing the license date, number, issuing agency 's name, address, and contact number. XXXX. **Licensing Information : ** They refused to acknowledge whether they held a collection license in the jurisdiction they are operating.

A medical bill collection company will not update my credit bureau report with accurate information for my account. The company in question is : MNET Financial INC, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. XXXX This was a collection account for a hospital medical bill. This account was paid in full in XX/XX/2018. Since paying off this account, I have called the company numerous times in XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/2018 I have spoken directly to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I have also written to the company to request that my credit bureau entry be updated to a XXXX balance and the account be marked closed. When I call and talk to them, each person I talk to will pull up my account and will acknowledge that the account has been paid in full and claim that they will take the appropriate action to update the credit report within a 30 day time period. Yet, the result of each of these inquires has resulted in them taking no action to update my credit report with the correct information. The original account amount was {$1600.00}. I paid the balance to {$0.00} in XX/XX/2018, Yet they still show that I owe {$390.00} on XXXX Credit report. I have contacted XXXX, via certified mail, and added a dispute to the entry through XXXX customer service. The action I am seeking is for them to properly update the credit bureau entry to a XXXX balance and to show the account paid in full and closed.

I received collections attempts from Mnet financial, address XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an out-of-the-blue phone call from Mnet Financial demanding payment in the amount of {$1000.00} for the Creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. It has been a year and a half since the XXXX, and I had not heard anything about bills, or received any phone calls. I explained to the caller that they were violating the law because I had never been told about such a debt, and hung up. I then called the creditor the same day XX/XX/XXXX to investigate the issue. I learned from the provider that I had a remaining balance of {$100.00}, and that the collections company was falsely trying to also charge me for the amount my insurance had already paid. She recalled the collections, and I paid the {$100.00}. Later in XXXX, I received a letter from MNET Financial once again demanding payment in the amount of {$1000.00} even though the matter had been recalled and resolved. So in short, they tried to collect the wrong amount, over XXXX the value of the collections. Even when the payment was resolved with the provider who alerted the collection agency, the collection attempts persisted. I have my phone records to confirm the XX/XX/XXXX c alls, as well as the XX/XX/XXXX letter.

In XXXX and XXXX of XXXX, I was a patient of XXXX XXXX and XXXX. I had office visits and infusions both times. In XXXX two employees advised me via email and telephone that the Prolia Co-Pay program would pay the bill that was owed beyond what XXXX XXXX and I paid. In late XXXX of XXXX, I received a bill from aforementioned provider for {$1900.00}. I sent XXXX certified letters in XXXX and XXXX indicating that I was advised that the bill was satisfied. On XX/XX/XXXX a woman named XXXX called me at the billing managers direction responding to my certified mail and stated that I do not owe the bill. In XXXX, XXXX, I was contacted by mail and telephone that this had been referred to a collection agency and they were attempting to collect. I was not notified this was being referred to collection. On the contrary, I was told that I did not owe it. In fact, I discovered that they did not attempt to submit it to the co-pay program at all. My credit has been impeached and the providers practice will not provide me with a letter stating that the collection was in error. I paid this practice {$1500.00} for the bill that three employees said I did not owe. I was sending certified mail trying to determine status and they send it to collections. I now have a ding on my previously perfect credit report. I want it off there.

On XX/XX/XXXX I had a XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Ohio. They made me pay {$100.00} up front before they would perform the XXXX, and give them an account number that the facility could draft monthly until the bill was paid in full. Three subsequent payments in the amount of {XXXX} were drafted XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. That was the last draft until I received a notice in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX indicating XXXX turned in an outstanding amount of XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX for collections. On the statement from XXXX, it indicated that I had not made any payment to XXXX from the XXXX date of XX/XX/XXXX to present which is absolutely false, incorrect and a misrepresentation of the facts. XXXX did not auto draft the final amount from my account as they indicated, then proceeded to turn me into collections. I am not disputing the final amount owed of XXXX per my EOB 's from my insurance company I definitely owe them that outstanding amount and have made every attempt to pay XXXX directly. My issue is a ) they turned the amount into collections completely misrepresenting that I had made no payments, and b ) they refuse to let me pay the bill without going through the collections agency.

A response came back from MNET through CFPB. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. *I didn't ask for validation in my complaint. *I asked that the account be deleted in light of the fact that the company failed to validate the account and kept persevering with collection activity despite it. Hence, once again in light of this company 's violation of the FDCPA Sec 809, which gives me the right to pursue this matter in court, I am demanding that the account be deleted or I will pursue this company for the violation

XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Dr office says it was XXXX XXXX XXXX' not XXXX XXXX XXXX' since a XXXX was removed so they can charge. To my understanding according to ACA it makes no difference. And how would anyone know if there was one removed anyway.

Received calls from XXXX manager XXXX. for a debt collection from 2014. After many calls back and forth I noticed they already knew my name without asking for it first, the account number provided was nowhere to be found with my hospitals, doctors etc and phone number provided was incorrect. Very clever group of people, PLEASE be aware if you receive any calls from this number!!!! Asked for their license, and they do n't provided me with that information.
