I received a phone call today at XXXX claiming to be a law firm and collecting a debt that is not mine. They produced personal information that was apparently on a loan application, which they believed to be valid. I indicated I was not party to this loan and have never heard of the loan provider. I also indicated there was no other attempt to collect on this fraudulent loan which they claim is approximately 3 years old. I did inform them I did in fact have fraudulent claims of debt in Summer of XXXX with a different company with a similar claim. In the summer of XXXX I froze my credit reporting and also filed fraud alerts with the three reporting agencies.
I do not know of this loan company " American Web Loan ''.
The debt collector claim to be a law firm " MMG Law Group , PLLC '' This debt does not not belong to me.
I have since re instated the credit freeze and filed fraud alerts with all three credit reporting agencies.
