Four years ago, I had dental work done by XXXX XXXX, XXXX in XXXX Illinois and fully paid the bill. The following year, I received an unsubstantiated bill for over {$630.00} from him that did not include specifics regarding dental services for this billing. I immediately explained the facts surrounding this erroneous invoice to his office manager who concurred and assured me that the bill was invalid and I would be receiving a corrected invoice that listed a zero balance. A month later, instead of receiving the revised invoice with zero balance, I was shocked to get a bill for the same amount as the earlier one.
In response, I called XXXX XXXX office again and was told by the same office manager that the corrected invoice would be arriving soon. Two weeks later, I received another copy of the same erroneous bill. I immediately went to XXXX office to address the situation in person and was concerned to find that his office was shut down. I tried unsuccessfully to locate a new phone number and address for him. Coincidentally, my search revealed that his professional reputation in Illinois was dismally poor as documented by many dissatisfied former patients who experienced similar unethical behaviors and financial harassment, as Ive been the victim of. ( Reviews available ).
A month later, I received the same bill from XXXX at an Oregon address. There was no phone number on the invoice. I wrote to again explain the facts regarding the invalidity of the invoice. When no response was received after three weeks, I wrote that unless I received the invoice with the zero balance in two weeks, I would have no choice but to combat his unwillingness to resolve the issue ( despite the fact that his own office manager concurred that the bill was illegitimate not once, but two times ). After no response, I sent documentation to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX recommended by our local XXXX XXXX XXXX.
On XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Illinois who claimed to be in possession of XXXX billing. They offered to investigate this debt if I filed a dispute in writing within 30 days of their initial contact. I filed this dispute via certified mail based on false balance status and fraudulent billing and received a return receipt on XX/XX/2018. No further information has been received from them to date.
In summary, after receiving an invalid bill from XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX provided me with specific facts about the inaccuracy of this bill including documentation of exact dates, names, pricing, and services ( Available upon request. ). I relayed this inaccuracy to his office manager who said I would receive a corrected bill with zero balance. XXXX then unexpectedly moved to Oregon with and continued to send me the erroneous invalid bill. I then filed grievances for malpractice and fraudulent billing with the following professional agencies : 1. The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX ; 2. XXXX XXXX Grievance Department ; and 3. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
On XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX demanding payment and disputed it in writing based on false balance status and fraudulent billing within 30 days. I received a written receipt on XX/XX/2018 and have received no further contact by them.
I look forward to receiving help as to how to deal with XXXX fraudulent charges as soon as possible. I need assurance that I do not owe him any money because he has been sending me unsubstantiated bills and that the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will not be reporting this bill to the credit agencies. The billing is invalid and his behavior has been unethical and harmful. Thank you very much.

I am writing this complaint in regards to the {$1900.00} balance from XXXX XXXX that is trying to be collected by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.At the time this lease was broken I was involved in a domestic abuse situation with my now ex-husband which resulted in me having to get myself and my Then XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX out of the apartment and out of the situation.I have contacted the company on multiple occasions getting the run around.First they told me they would contact XXXX XXXX and inquire about a settlement but they never called me back.I contacted them yet again and they told me that XXXX XXXX stated that they would not settle the balance, so I contacted XXXX XXXX myself and they have a new owner and stated that it was not that they would not settle they just did not have the information any longer being that there was a new owner and the amount had already been sent to collection so there was nothing that they could do.Only in my own research of the Illinois State law and getting the constant run around did I find that there is specifically protection for victims of domestic violence under tenants rights in what is known as the safe homes act in the state of IL.This collection balance should have never been sent to the collection agency in the first place under this IL law.This is causing great distress on my now XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I as it is hindering us from being able to establish residency in a new state as well as greatly negativly affecting my credit score!

I was a victim of ID Theft. I sent a Dispute Letter to Midwest Credit Collections on XX/XX/XXXXand another onXX/XX/XXXX of which they sent ME billing statements of the alleged debt but not a contract with my signature specifying that it was me who signed a agreement for the alleged debt. I enclosed a copy of the ID Theft Affidavit as well as the Dispute Letters sent to Midwest Credit Collections of which all of the fraudulent accounts listed on the Affidavit have been removed from my Credit Reports EXCEPT Midwest Credit Collections and one other of which I am also filing a complaint, all well as filing a law suit. Is Midwest Credit Collections above the Law??? The FDCPA and FCRA!!!!

I was served a small claims complaint from Midwest Credit collection Services in XXXXXXXX XXXX for XXXXXXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, all of the debts individually are for different providers within the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Each of the bills are all under {$500.00}. I was under the impression that you could not be sued for the medical debt under {$500.00} due to the 2023 medical bill act that was passed. What this collection agency has done is combined multiple debts into one lawsuit and filed a complaint against me. Some of the bills are a small {$33.00}. There are no medical bills attached to this complaint, so I have no information to confirm debts owed -is this legal?

This company Midwest credit & Collection has engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices that are prohibited by the FDCPA. They've reported accounts without my agreement or signing of any related agreement. A legal contract necessitates the consent of both parties, which I did not provide. Additionally, they did not follow the proper five-step validation procedure, constituting unfair practices. According to the FDCPA, I am entitled to {$1000.00} per violation, and their actions clearly infringed upon my rights!

I looked on my credit report and noticed that there is alleged debt that hasnt been validated placed on my credit report..
