In XXXX , I was stuck on high deductible medical plan when my son XXXX XXXX XXXX . We incurred roughly {$3000.00} in expenses for multiple XXXX . Provider referred account to Collection Resources XXXX XXXX . XXXX , Minnesota. I received a call on from them in the summer of XXXX . We worked to resolve over time and I thought that we had, however, their understanding of resolution was not the same as mine and I received a bank account debit in the amount of {$2400.00} on XXXX XXXX , XXXX without warning or notification. I contacted the firm and asked to resolve in a manner that would not overdraw my account, mean that I am unable to pay for planned car repairs which will impact my ability to get to work and also require juggling of payments and accounts to avoid missing other payments ( such as mortgage ). I was told that they would not negotiate on this and were going to keep my money. My complaints with the firm : 1. Was told during phone call by representative that they would be unable to enter into a payment arrangement that did not include accounting for payment of balance in full within a fixed time. 2. I was forced to be evasive about ability to pay as a result of # 1 above and veiled threats connected to it. Event ually, we agreed to a plan in which I would pay {$40.00} per month and make a final payment in full in XXXX , XXXX . During that call the representative listed all of the debit dates but ended that series and mentioned a " final payment '' rather than another debit on XXXX XXXX , XXXX . It was my understanding that the " final payment '' was to be made by me or at least agreed upon with some warning. Not that I was committing to them debiting my account on a future date for an amount that is greater than my house payment. 3. Even had I agreed to such a payment ( which I firmly believe that I did not ), I do not believe that debiting a large amount without advance notice ... and not a recurring monthly amount ... is not ethical. Had I assented to this debit ( which I did not ), CR was attempting to prey and the fact that I had forgotten. They got the money and ran. A simple {$1.00} letter reminding me that they thought that I had agreed to pay {$2500.00} to them at a time when it would be clear to me would have avoided any confusion, however, this was clearly an attempt to grab money without the knowledge or informed consent of their victim.

These people called me a lot in the beginning. I didn't know I could negotiate with them to reduce the debt. I repeatedly told them that I could not afford to pay more than {$50.00} a month and they would not accept that from me. It was not good enough for them. So they kept calling. I finally had a little money left over after I got paid one month and I paid {$100.00} on the debt. Then they agreed that I could pay {$50.00} a month after that, but wanted me to start that right away ... even though I just paid them {$100.00} and I told them I needed some time to be able to make another payment. They set my due date at the XXXX of each month, but to be honest I can barely afford to pay the {$50.00} even. I have to pay for gas for my car and for groceries on credit cards because I don't have money left over after I pay my regular monthly bills. This website says that I should not be paying more than I can afford and I feel like this company " bullied '' me into a payment plan that I really, honestly, can not afford. I just paid them another {$50.00} today because I'm tired of them calling me and now I have {$30.00} left in my checking account until I get paid again on XX/XX/26. Obviously, that is NOT going to last for two weeks and I'll be forced to increase my credit card debt to make it through the next two weeks. Not once did this company even offer to settle this debt for a smaller amount and for someone like me who repeatedly tells them how tight my finances are, I feel like they should have offered me a smaller amount and let me do a smaller monthly payment. Also as it relates to the original debt, I made a partial payment to XXXX when they sent me a bill in the mail. I never once heard from them again on this bill/debt so I thought that maybe the waived the rest ( as many other facilties have done with bills ). Then all of a sudden this Central Resources company is involved and XXXX tells me they can't speak with me no more about the bill/debt. They didn't ever offer me any option to apply for a reduced or waived balance either and they should have! They never communicated with me after I made that partial payment to them.

I've been getting numerous phone calls from many different phone numbers. They all call saying they are from a company called Central Resources. Every time they call they won't tell me what it's about and they ask me to reveal sensitive information like they are trying to steal my identity. On XX/XX/23 they called me and said they are going to forward my information to a lawyer and sue me if I don't answer their questions. Calls began around 4 months ago. I wasn't even aware that I owed a debt to someone, let alone for medical bills.

Company ignored phone request and written request to verify debt yet continues debt collection. I understand that this company must be a poorly run collections agency that is trying to get by, but unfortunately for them they purchased debt that I do n't owe.
