On XX/XX/23, I attempted to withdraw my earnings I had made from two separate sales I completed on Mercari. Mercari is similiar to XXXX. Despite the fact that their website says that identity verification is not required in order for a seller to withdraw their earnings via direct deposit transfer, Mercari is requiring me to submit identity verification documents in order to withdraw my earnings. They currently have my account restricted leaving me unable to access any of my earnings available in my mercari account, a total of {$180.00}. I have submitted identity verification documents now three times, the first two times they said it couldnt be verified since they claimed my id photo on my drivers license didnt match my selfie. Finally the last time I submitted the requested documents, I had gone to the DMV and gotten a new drivers license with an updated photo. I was also required to verify personal information such as my social security number, address, and date of birth. All of which was verified correctly. On XX/XX/23 I submitted my identity documents via the app and received an email moments after stating my identity verification was successful which should have restored my account access to non restricted. Except for whatever reason my account is STILL limited leaving my unable to withdraw my money and says my identity verification is under review. This is absolutely unacceptable and totally illegal what they are doing. I have not violated any terms of the user agreement, I have provided all requested identity verification documentation, verified personal identifying information, all of which is more than sufficient proof to verify someones identity. Especially considering none of that is even required in order to simply transfer my earnings via direct deposit. They are wrongfully holding my money which is owed to me and threatened to close my account with my balance. This seems to be a common practice of Mercari, illegally and wrongfully withholding users earnings without any legitimate reason. I need someone to speak to Mercari on my behalf bc their support agents have not been helpful and have only repeatedly told me to resubmit the same documents which I have already sent in numerous times. There is no reason if I received a notification and email from Mercari saying my identity verification was approved that the app should still list my account as restricted. When I try to withdraw my balance it says I need to verify my identity but as I have said, I have already done that. They have now illegally held my money for over a month and I desperately need access to my earnings which are legally owed to me. The support agent who has been in touch with me is named XXXX XXXX and the other is named XXXX XXXX I would like to have full access to my Mercari account and have this ridiculous restriction on my account removed so that I can finally transfer my money off off their platform. Mercari et al is aware of this and has continued prejudice discrimination conspiracy wanton negligence malice misrepresentation misleading but not limited to and has refused to produce any jurisdictionally proper legally lawful standing law that would or could support their claims allegations or demands otherwise and or any alleged contracts. I have never willingly knowingly intelligently intentionally consented agreed given permission or contracted to anything whatsoever that would or could waive my constitutional rights that must otherwise be done willingly knowingly and intelligently as th Supreme Court has ruled that is standing law.

Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX. I am contacting in regards to seller account XXXX XXXXXXXX, email ( XXXX ) merchant ID XXXX. I have had an account on Mercari for nearly a year now with an exceptional track record. There was a total of XXXX sales, XXXX star feedback with a rating of 4.92 %, and 1 % return rate. I had only one customer claim the item they received was not as described which took place on XX/XX/23, many months ago. I have had zero listings removed, no knowledge or understanding I violated any policy until yesterday on XX/XX/23 I received an email out of the blue stating my account was closed due to the belief I was selling prohibited items. I immediately contacted your support asking why this occurred, and the ability to rectify any concerns you may have felt about my selling of items. I was denied this, and not allowed to submit any information to appeal. Having understood your terms & agreement I have currently $ XXXX being held, without any option to withdraw the funds. There was nothing on my account that flagged a purpose to make such a drastic decision, and although I understand the want to ensure sellers uphold your policy, I was not given a fair option to appeal this decision that was made by mistake. This does not seem like it would legally be upheld in the court of law, you have made a determination based on no basis other than actively go out of your way to make judgement about my listings, however I have had XXXX customers receive products from me, and they have felt differently, many of which clearly state in the feedback my products are authentic. Therefore if this decision was made without alternative motives, it would only make rational sense based on all the evidence outlined I would be given at the very least an option to submit my case and appeal your decision. We are speaking on grounds of ethical practices a marketplace should operate under.

I am a seller on the Mercari phone app and want to reach out with regards to an issue. I received an email with no prior warning or message from Mercari that my account has been closed and funds frozen as I was selling " non-authentic items ''. Firstly, I will agree to the fact that I was unaware that using stock photos was unacceptable. But Mercari should have reached out to me. I have been a well respected seller since 2015 with tons of ( 75+ ) 5 star reviews. I am quite disappointed that my account would just be closed. I have receipts and valid serial numbers for all items I sold. There are a lot of scammers and competitors who try to harm others, and therefore I did not list any of the serial numbers. I received 5 pieces of the same item so thought I could use the picture ( my own picture ) I took multiple times. If this was an issue, Mercari could have reached out and I could have fixed the issue. Rather than taking the decision of just closing my account. I am requesting for the company to re-evaluate my case, release my frozen funds and get back to me and I will be more than happy to provide all valid receipts and valid serial numbers. This is theft as I have read hundreds of other sellers who experience the same issue. Mercari is stealing innocent seller 's money and profiting off us on the application. Last month I listed my beloved camera ( {$450.00}, most expensive thing I've ever sold ) on Mercari, sold to a buyer ( now that I look back, they had a XXXX deal history XXXX account ). They claimed an empty package after receiving and asked to cancel the order. Mercari within 1 hour permitted cancelling the order and limited my account, even though I've previously sold XXXX deals on Mercari , all XXXX star ratings. I submitted my argument and shipping receipt ( clearly shows the package weighs XXXX lbs ) as proof, arguing that not only is the buyer the actual fraud, it is also unfair to just hear one party 's word and decide the case. Mercari replied with saying they are taking my case to the Payment Team ( which only works in week days ) for a second review. Not a single word in the following two business days. On the third day ( Saturday ), I got an email saying my account was closed. Later I argued again, Mercari replied by saying my account was limited and therefore " is ineligible for reinstatement ''. The sheer ridiculousness of this claim is mind blowing, it's like saying I killed you so you can't really blame me since you're already dead. So my camera is gone to a fraud, I didn't get any money, my account was colsed, Mercari did not investigate at all. The promised shipping insurance was never brought up. They didn't help provide the buyer 's address, which blocked my hope to take this to their local police department.

My name is XXXX XXXX. The email I used for my Mercari account is XXXX. I ordered a monitor off of Mercari, a selling website where people can make listings for items. I ordered a monitor that I confused with another model, and this person 's particular page didn't have the exact specifications of the monitor, so no details about resolutions, or if their internal features were working, it was just listed as working as a whole. It said on their selling page that it would come with its mounting stand. I received this package and it came without its mounting stand, and a defective XXXX module inside of it, not letting me use a proper feature of the monitor without messing up the imagery on the screen. I promptly contacted Mercari for a refund because this was not what I was expecting, and they asked for pictures of the monitor which I gave them. They then said there was nothing they could do and refused to give me my money back, and marked the purchase as complete and the return was denied. I need that money for my tuition. The monitor was {$410.00}, the warranty purchased alongside that was {$29.00}, both purchases were made on XX/XX/2022. The item ID for the monitor is XXXX. Please help me. I need my money back for college. Mercari is refusing to give me any compensation for it and I have a monitor I can't use now. The seller wants to accept my return but Mercari doesn't want to accept it. Please please help me.

I sold a high value on Mercari that was purchased for {$500.00} but undersold on the web platform for {$300.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX the item sold was delivered to my Mercari client. Customer complains that the listing did not include accessories however the listing clearly states it is only the unit. Pictures on listing also show only the unit. I offered to discount or even provide the cables to client but Mercari 's plan of action was to authorize the return unjustly. Label was provided to client and they shipped it back via XXXX. XXXX tracking # shows delivery of package but I did not receive the package back. I have went to neighbors and asked the XXXX station/driver but it was to no avail. They can not find the package. I requested Mercari to file a claim or assist with tracking as this is their shipping label. Shipping couriers only provide claims to those who purchased the label. No support was given. It is my understanding that for a high value item Mercari should be buying insurance and using signature confirmation to ensure delivery of the package. None of which was done.

hello I purchased XXXX XXXX from Mercari ( XXXX dollars ) but I have not received the item. It was supposed to deliver on XX/XX/2022 ( order placed XX/XX/2022 ). The tracking number provided by the seller said the item was delivered but I did not get the item ( today is XX/XX/2022 ). The seller is a newbie and he closed his account after received the payment. Post office did not recall that they deliver this item. Mercari has intention not to give me a refund. I used XXXX to pay for it. XXXX closed my case without permission. I used chase credit card via XXXX XXXXo pay for it. XXXX bank has no progress. I do not think it is fair for me to pay XXXX dollars for the item that has never arrived. I made a purchase on Mercari.com, which prohibits the sale of counterfeit items, but I received a fake item. I was unable to contact the website within the 3 days rating period, but when I did contact them, they gave me a 30 days exception. They asked for images proving inauthenticity and a third party confirmation. Although it was difficult and time consuming to obtain these, I was able to in the end. Once I did, I received a message saying I am outside the 15 day period. Them changing their words from 30 days to 15 days back to 30 days and then 15 again happened twice ( see attached correspondence ). Both the purchase was a fraud and Mercaris emails were fraud, promising resolution under some terms, and then breaking their words. They lied in writing. SEE FILES ATTACHED!! I have filed TWO XXXX complaints and have put the attorney general on notice. I am also prepared to file an internet crime complaint via IC3 with the FBI. Mercari LIED to me in writing. They told me to let the items i shipped out be delivered and to then withdraw money from my balance. Well after one of my items was delivered, I tried to withdraw my money and I CAN'T because Mercari has limited my account. They STOLE money from me. I will not hesitate to sue if a resolution is not reached. They have ignored my messages and they also closed a case that I opened without any prior communication. I opened a case on the website and without them even working on it, they just automatically closed it. They are trying to cover their tracks and stall. They then marked the case as resolved when they didn't resolve ANYTHING

On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a sale on the Mercari site for the amount of XXXX. After selling fees. On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to transfer the funds instant pay to a XXXX XXXX account but the transaction was declined. XXXX XXXX would not accept the transfer. Mercari depleted my account and never returned the money due to me. I contacted them multiple times and even the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I confirmed with cash app they didnt get the transfer but Mercari still kept telling me they dont have the money. They sent me messages saying thanks for your time but we dont have it.
