We had a teenage friend staying with us who accidentally XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. We were not involved in any financial matters while she was in the hospital. Her mother lived out of state and spoke with providers by phone. After she left the hospital, she needed XXXX visit with the doctor she had seen in the hospital before she could fly home. The doctor wanted XXXX or he would n't see her. However, the XXXX provider insisted on payment before doing the XXXX. Over several phone calls with the doctor 's office and the XXXX provider, we negotiated an agreement to pay {$120.00} for minimal x-rays. I paid with my credit card. The patient had the XXXX, saw the doctor and flew home.
In XXXX of XXXX, I got a letter from a collection agency saying that my " delinquent account '' with an XXXX Provider had been placed with them and that I owed {$390.00}. I had never heard from any service providers regarding the patient. As I stated before, her mother lived out of state and spoke with providers by phone. I knew nothing about debt collectors at that time. The letter from CA ( Collection Agency ) indicated that I had to respond within 30 days if I disputed the validity of the debt. So I did with a letter stating that I had no account or debt with the Creditor. Then I got another form letter a month later with no reference to the letter I sent. Another nine days passed before I got any response. I got a letter claiming to be " verification of original charges '' with no other reference to my letter. They enclosed a statement that was obviously typed up in their office, not from the creditor. There were XXXX charges listed - all but the last XXXX dated during the time the patient was in the hospital. The last one was dated on the date of the XXXX at an office outside of the hospital that we had paid {$120.00} for. It did n't show the payment I made and the charge was {$100.00}. At the bottom, it shows {$18.00} paid by the patient to provider but no other details. Not knowing the proper thing to do, my wife called the CA asking why they were still saying it was my debt. The employee she spoke to said that WE had to obtain a copy of the " intake paperwork '' from the creditor. So we called the creditor who refused to release the form to us since I WAS NOT NAMED ON THEIR PAPERWORK. That was in XXXX XXXX and we told the CA by phone what the creditor had said. No response. The CA sent another letter XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Enclosed was the same " statement '' plus a " document that bears your signature '' but there is no mention of the creditor 's response to our phone call. The document they sent does not prove that it was my account. It 's actually a notice about " Direct Payment for XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. It shows the price quoted as {$120.00} and explains how insurance is affected by paying directly for the service. It says that my signature acknowledges that I got a copy of the notice and waive my right to have a claim submitted to an insurance company. There are requirements about making a direct payment. I responded with another letter on XXXX XXXX. Again I stated that it was not my debt, explained in more detail what had happened in XXXX of XXXX because my wife found notes she had written at the time but forgotten about. I sent a copy of my credit card bill showing the {$120.00} paid. I explained to them what the form they sent " with my signature '' actually meant and questioned the accuracy of their " statement ''. I sent the letter certified so that I had proof that they got my letter. My receipt post card shows that they received it on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I heard nothing further from them until XXXX XXXX when they sent the same old form letter with no reference to anything that had been detailed in our correspondence earlier in the year. I finally did some research on collection agencies and realize I missed several instances where they did not do things according to the law.

Received bill for around {$180.00} and XXXX charges for a total of {$45.00}. Paid {$180.00} my XXXX deductible by check.. I would have paid {$45.00} but I have medicare and a rap around insurance and should not have to pay because my coverage. ( I really do not believe they applied to my insurance ). Also the XXXX entries {$45.00} were ( patient not known ) beside each. When I was speaking to rep from billing dept. she told me not to pay that, because I asked her about it. The calls every week ( I even called and them and said I would be glad to pay but thats why I have extra insurance for ) and I over and over explained to each person that I had insurance and they reluctantly took the info down ) .Each time the rep acted as if it was the first time they heard about it. I have had this problem with medical service. I give my medicare info and rap around insurance, then low and behold they do not file with my insurance. I guess too much trouble. Now the BURAEU OF MEDICAL ECONOMICS IS A CALLING. I must say I pay all my bills, and never refuse what I owe. Repeatedly I have talked to persistent reps and they say ok and -keep calling. By the way the next billings were changed to {$45.00} XXXX with no patient not known entry ), Funny thing a day ago I got another bill from the hospital for the original {$45.00} and an additional charge for {$12.00} for a visit to the facility. Now if I know they did not bill my insurance. HELP!!! I must tell you, I love my doctors and my hospital and I would never try and escape from paying I never will and I never have. *note : I checked the debt is not mine but is is mine.

I am filing this complaint due to the companies lack of valid debt as well as their refusal to acknowledge a dispute. I contacted this organization on XX/XX/18 at XXXX XXXX to advise them of a dispute in regards to 3 accounts that they allege is owed. Upon advising the company that I am disputing these accounts and that they contact their client to discuss the reasons, I was advised that I need to explain my dispute to the rep or my dispute was not valid. I again advised rep that her personal opinion as to whether or not I have a valid dispute is irrelevant and all she is being advised to do is Dispute the account accordingly. She refused to do so. I then advised company that they no longer are to contact me via phone or mail at which time again I am advised that they do not need to acknowledge my dispute or demand they cease and desist and I need to send them something. Since they are refusing adamantly to address their improper records for 3 accounts that are disputed this complaint is being filed. Hopefully this company and its employees will correct their incorrect demands as well as cease from ever contacting me in any form whether phone, mail, email or any other methods. I will also demand that no negative marks be placed with the credit bureaus due to this companies erroneous and frivolous accounts or a lawsuit will be filed due to violations of FDCPA as well as FCRA requirements.

I finally sent a dispute letter to the collection agency, which they received on XXXX/XXXX/2017 and I uploaded the dispute letter. I also uploaded the only bill they sent me that pertains to the amount they put in XXXX. The amount they have is wrong because they added a different bill to it from a different date. The bill they sent me is on their own letter head, so they could have put any amount in there.
The smaller bills like the one they added to this one, I may be able to pay if I owe it. In addition, my insurance company got on a three-way call with the collection agency and me, the collection agent told us that the extra charge was probably a charge off fee.
They never sent me a copy of the original billing statement, they never explained how the extra charge is expressly authorized by the agreement creating the debt, and no details about their authority to collect this debt. Please help, I am trying to straighten out my credit and they do not want to cooperate.
They wo n't even negotiate with me. I told them that I can afford {$50.00} a month and they will not even accept it.

This is regarding a bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX for XX/XX/21 service.
When I got a bill from XXXX for {$91.00}, contacted that company. They reported that XXXX replied to their claim that information was missing. I got XXXX and XXXX on the phone, and it turned out that the Provider ID was incorrect. It took weeks for XXXX to get the correct information to XXXX, who proceeded to put the claim through their system. They agreed that this bill was theirs to pay and they would submit it through their system now that they had the correct information.
XXXX decided to send this to XXXX for collection, anyway. When I talked with XXXX, they gave me an email address to show proof of payment. I did so at XXXX a.m. on XX/XX/XXXX.
When I got another notice, I contacted them again, and they said they never got my email. I forwarded the first email on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX pm and proceeded to call daily until they confirmed that they received it.
I was told that they would have to send my documentation to XXXX for verification. That hasn't happened yet, and I received another notice from XXXX on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX. I called them and was told to disregard the notice, but they had no idea when I would hear back from them.

I received a letter on XX/XX/2023, dated XXXX XXXX notifying of BME Services intent to collect the debt. I had been in contact with insurance, but intended to pay to avoid a negative impact on my credit. I have a rating of XXXX. I called their office because their online payment did not work. One phone number listed on the letter was incorrect and with the other, I twice was on hold a very long time. Their office person told me the online payment had not been working for some time. She said there is a, " glitch, '' and would not tae payment under {$100.00}. My debt is, {$90.00}. I have no checks and do not want to order checks. I have had a recent ankle injury and would need help to get to the bank. I am XXXX old and have no family in the area. I asked if they would give me a grace period until they have their online system fixed. She said they would not and if I don't pay by the deadline, My credit would be negatively impacted. I then called on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX as this non-profit agency owns. the collection agency. I was told a XXXX XXXX would call me. I have not received a call.

Bureau of medical economics, XXXX AZ XXXX ; has put a debt belonging to my oldest son, XXXX years old now 2 times in my Credit Report, first in XXXX XXXX and the 2nd time on or about XXXX XXXX, both times I call them and explain them was n't my debt and they knew was n't mine when they ask me for my social security number but they told me both times I had to make my Son paid them the debt so they can take it out of my Credit Report, both times I left feeling like am a hostage during this process, had to hire an attorney to dispute both times and last time I was or in the process to apply for a loan to buy a property in XXXX , AZ , when I call the Bank they told me I will still qualify but my interest rate will be higher because of the derogatory information on my Credit Report, In XXXX my Lawyer send a letter to this Company to pay me {$2000.00} in damages and they never respond or pay, I believe taking somebody hostage to make somebody else to pay a debt is a CRIME! After reviewing my credit profile on XX/XX/XXXX I identified a discrepancy with 2 accounts listed under XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I requested a validation on XX/XX/XXXX as there were accounts listed that I did not recognize as I have always had insurance that fully covers my medical. On XX/XX/XXXX I reviewed my credit profile again as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had not responded and 1 account was reflecting as disputed however I never received validation and the other account was still reflecting as not disputed. Therefore a 2nd validation request for the account was sent out on XX/XX/XXXX. Credit report was reviewed again on XX/XX/XXXX and the accounts are still reflecting on my report and I do not believe the accounts belong to me nor that the creditor has authorization to legally access my medical records and to attempt to collect on the accounts and these accounts continue to negatively affect me. Please strike and remove this account from all 3 credit bureaus until adequate validation has been received proving that this account belongs to me and that all information is correct.

I got a copy of my credit report after being denied credit and found a collections account which I did not know existed. The account on the report is from XX/XX/XXXX for a balance of {$1000.00}. I have not received any information from them or the company collection is for : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I made a phone call to both XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX requesting paperwork on the original debt because I believed that the debt may have been covered by Insurance. They both promised they would send paperwork on the visit and the debt but I never received anything, and the collections company is still calling to collect the debt. Also in about XXXX when I got the credit report I filed a dispute with experian, and they reconfirmed the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the insurance company, XXXX and they said their records show all claims paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX, called back XX/XX/XXXX and was told they have no record of the debt. All I want to do is get the information on the visit, the billing to insurance and determine if I actually owe the debt.

In XXXX XXXX I went to a XXXX to get help with my feet, starting in XXXX I called XXXX a week in an attempt to pay the debt. XXXX office never returned calls or messages. In XXXX XXXX XXXX, I received my first collection letter threatening to impose additional efforts. So XXXX XXXX, I walked into the doctor 's office and asked them if I can pay my bill. Doctors office said no, we do n't do that here, they took a message and a billing supervisor called to take " full payment '' {$550.00} as reflected on my bank statement. I also asked the Doctor 's office to resolve the issue with the collector. The billing supervisor and the doctor 's office promised to resolve the issue. XXXX XXXX I got another collection letter, so My husband called the collector and asked them to call and resolve an already paid debt. XXXX XXXX I received my 3rd letter and called collector personally to tell them it was paid. Message machine no one available.
Given the doctor 's violations and the collector 's violations it would be helpful to get some assistance to resolve the issue.

On XX/XX/2022 I was notified by the XXXX XXXX XXXX and Identity Theft Department that Bureau of Medical Economics had filed a negative collection report against me with XXXX. I contacted and completed the XXXX fraud and identity theft documentation followed by emailing through this company 's website that they were falsely making judgment and negative claims against me. I went on to explain that this was an accident injury case that was in litigation and that all medical providers agreed to a medial lien in pursuit of my sons compensation from the insurance company of the defendant. Furthermore, our law firm contacted XXXX and told them they had 24 hours to remove the negative claim against their client or we would file a suit against their company. The attorney went on to explain that it is unlawful to begin with to file a negative claim as a third party citing the Consumer Fair Act and that once again, unless they remove this immediately they would be at risk for a lawsuit.

I happened to check my FICO score tonight and noticed it plummeted, then I proceed to order my credit report. To my surprise, I have a medical debt, in which it took some digging before I realized I have missed a bill. Apparenly, what I paid to XXXX hospital is separate from the Physician bill, in which the XXXX has made a poor effort of communication to me regarding the separate charges since XX/XX/2016. And the Bureau of Medical Economic has made a poor attempt in collecting from me, I have yet to receive the bill, I do n't even know the account number of which I owe. The bill is only {$340.00}, I would have pay it if I would have been notified of the separate charges or notified of the late payment. This form of poor communication will affect my credit and future in a negative way. My fiance and I have been working to build a home/house, and now with the downturn of my credit score, I m not sure what my future holds.

Greetings to all at the XXXX. Thank you for your service It has come to my attention that a private company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is committing many crimes against my estate and my name.
My question to the CFPB is, how can a 'private ' for profit company be allowed to obtain my personal information without my knowledge, written consent, or a court order? Does the CFPB allow companies to do as they please? I have requested that XXXX XXXX XXXX provide to me a proof of authority that allows them to Purchase and collect the information of XXXX XXXX without a license at CALIFORNIA where I live, my written consent, or court order. This is clearly identify theft by corporate bullies. I am unable to obtain goods for my household. This has to stop. I am asking that the CFPB regulates the false and deceptive business practices of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is devastating to my family.

I spoke to a representative on XXXX/XXXX/2015 of a debt in the amount of {$100.00}, that was subsequently taken out of my bank account on XXXX/XXXX/2015. The agency promised that If I paid the full amount, which I did, they would send a report to the credit reporting agencies to remove it completely from my credit. As of XXXX/XXXX/15, the account shows paid in full on my credit report, and was not removed as promised. Therefore the agency gave me false statements in order to collect a debt. The agency in question is Bureau of Medical Economics on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ XXXX

I am in the process of purchasing a home. I had my credit pulled and was surprised to see a collection from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which has my score dropped significantly. This was an item that was paid with the agreement it was to be deleted from my credit profile. Which turns out not to be the case. I would like this collection removed from my credit due to false/misleading representation in order to receive payment, which I now know was obtained under dishonest terms. Spoke to someone on XX/XX/2018 who was extremely rude and unprofessional with her help.

Under the Fair Debt collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), I have the right to request validation of the debt collection agency claims I owe them. On XX/XX/2020 a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA. the Bureau of Medical Economics made no attempts to contact me or provide information. Not only did the Bureau of Medical Economics fail to provide the information required by law, but they added an additional frivolous duplicate account to my credit report.
