hospital charges were not submitted to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in a timely manner. The date of service in question is XX/XX/XXXX. I have contacted the XXXX Hospitals of XXXX and Med1 Solutions several times regarding this matter and some how they still managed not to bill the insurance company in a timely manner. Upon reviewing my supporting documentation you will see that I attempted to provide my insurance information several times. The dates that insurance information was reported are listed below : I submitted my insurance information ( XXXX ) XXXX times since the date of service : XX/XX/XXXX at the time of serviceXXXX XXXX, XXXX via mail service ( please see letter ) XX/XX/XXXX via fax ( please see documentation ) **XX/XX/XXXX via telephone call at XXXX ** ( I am using XXXX of the other charges for the physician to prove that they were fully aware of my insurance information because the physician charge was paid. Please see the paid bill for {$510.00} ) Please not this charge was for the same visit but billed separately.Additionally, I submitted a dispute letter on XX/XX/XXXX of an itemized bill because Med One Solutions stated that they were collecting for XXXX Hospitals and XXXX XXXX. They were also pursuing me for a bill that was not mine. I have communicated with Med One Solutions several times specifically regarding this date of service and they have promised over and over again if I was to submit proof from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that I am not responsible for the charges due the contractual agreement because they failed to submit the bill in a timely manner they would write-off the charges. I specifically spoke with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX who stated if I were to submit copies of the insurance cards they would bill the insurance company and review the account to make sure the billing was correct. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from Med1Solutions and I spoke with XXXX and XXXX. At that time they stated they were billing me for several bills totaling to {$3700.00} ; XXXX of which was from my XXXX year old son. The bills were from XXXX XXXX and XXXX Hospitals of XXXX. Therefore, I contacted XXXX XXXX and requested copies of the insurance cards. Upon receiving the copies of the insurance cards for XXXX XXXX I faxed them to Med1 Solutions along with copies of my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX cards and a dispute letter because the bills were unclear. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Med 1 Solutions to confirm the status. They had removed the charges for XXXX Hospitals date of service XX/XX/XXXX. Therefore, the charges were somewhere around {$450.00}. However, I never received an itemized statement. Later, Med 1 Solutions attempting to collect on a debt around XX/XX/XXXX. At the time I was aware that there were some very small bills totaling to around {$400.00}. When I asked the representative how much were the bills she said they were {$3000.00}. I said wait how can that be she said they received a bill from XXXX Hospitals for {$1700.00}. I explained to her they should have billed the insurance company back in the fall of XX/XX/XXXX and I had also submitted the insurance information XX/XX/XXXX. So I was informed that they would bill the insurance company. I immediately contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX. At that time we placed a conference call to XXXX Hospital and spoke with XXXX who later connected us with XXXX. At that time XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) advised XXXX that the bill was not filed in a timely manner and unless they could provide proof that the bill was filed in a timely manner it would not be paid. XXXX then connected us to XXXX because XXXX was suppose to be the guru of billing. XXXX stated she would pull the claim back

On XX/XX/XXXX I received notice via mail that I am being sued by Med-1 Solutions for medical debt ( dates of service XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX ). The notice of claim stated I owe medical bills totaling {$2100.00}. The claim includes lawyer fees of {$800.00} bringing the judgement total to {$2900.00} and the cost of this action of {$87.00} totaling {$3000.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Med-1 Solutions to discuss. I asked if they are a third party that accepted my debt and I was told they are not a third party but instead work directly for the originating hospital ( XXXX ). I was informed that if I pay the due amount in total before the court date ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I will not have to appear in court and the claim will be settled. During that call on XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment of {$500.00} towards the total. I was informed my new balance is {$2500.00}. After the payment was processed, I asked if we could settle for a lesser amount. The rep advised me to send an email to their legal team with the subject being the account number and in the body of the email include : the amount I have paid toward the balance, my new balance, and the amount I am requesting to settle for. That email request would then be shared with XXXX for consideration. I asked if I should just reach out to XXXX directly and I was informed that Med-1 Solutions is the group that is now handling this situtation. As directed, I sent an email to their legal department ( on XX/XX/XXXX ) with the subject being the account number I was given, the amount I had paid so far towards the balance, and my new balance. I also requested to settle for {$1500.00} to be paid by XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a response for their legal team stating they will settle for {$1600.00} if paid before the court date on XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately replied thanking them and agreeing to the new total of {$1600.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Med-1 Solutions to make a payment toward the new agreed upon amount. The rep stated the amount owed was still {$2500.00}. I advised that I have an email from their legal team settling for {$1600.00}. The rep then transferred me to the legal department. I advised the rep that I was calling in to pay toward the agreed upon amount. The rep informed me, per her supervisor, that was a typo and they still expected me to pay the full amount. I advised that I have in writing from their legal team that we are settling for the lesser amount. The rep again informed me that was a typo and offered to transfer me to her supervisor. When I spoke with the supervisor, she stated again that the email was a typo and that I am still expected to pay the full amount. I advised, again, that I will pay the agreed upon amount in which the rep stated that again it was a typo and it happens. I have no written communication that their email on XX/XX/XXXX was a typo. It was not until I called in to make a payment that I was informed that they are not honoring the amount that they stated they will settle for. I maintain that I will pay the mutually agreed upon amount of {$1600.00}. With my previous payment of {$500.00}, I have a remaining balance of {$1100.00}.

I 'm not certain if this choice best describes my situation. I had a medical bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX that was forwarded to Med-1 Solutions, LLC. The bill was from XX/XX/XXXX. I was unable to pay the bill do to my financial situation at the time it was incurred. I was unable to make payments on the debt during this period because of continued financial hardship. I received a notice from Med-1 that they would be taking me to court for the bill XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The week prior to the court date I called and spoke with one of their representatives in their legal department. I advised her of my financial situation and asked if I would be able to make payment arrangements for the bill. She said I could. We worked out arrangements were I would make {$100.00} payments on the XXXX of each month, starting XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. She stated that she would forward me paperwork that I would need to fill out for them to deduct the payments automatically from my account. I agreed to do so. I received the paperwork the following week. I had not sent the paperwork back with my account information so they could start deducting the {$100.00} agreed upon amount on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, when I noticed on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX that Med-1 had deducted a {$100.00} payment from my checking account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This caused me to be quite embarrassed when I went to purchase lunch and was informed my card was being declined. I was also charged a {$37.00} overdraft fee on my account because their payment caused me to go in the negative. I called Med 1 that day and advised a representative of what happened. She said that she saw that arrangement in the notes pertaining to the {$100.00} payments starting on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and did not know why the payment was taken out XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I asked the representative how they obtained my bank account information since I had never sent them their paperwork back yet and that I would like to be reimbursed the {$37.00} fee. She could not answer that question and advised that she would have a supervisor listen to the call and get back with me. That has been over a month and I have yet to receive a call back. Since then I have received another collection notice from Med-1 for another XXXX XXXX XXXX bill that I have disputed with the original creditor. I have not contacted Med-1 since.

Hello, I have a debt with Med-1 solutions and I have been deceived. I was told by my account respresentative on XXXX/XXXX/2015 that there were no derogatory remarks on my account at the present, but if I did not pay then there would be. I then asked the representative if I could make payments to the account in order to keep remarks off my credit. She stated that she could do that. So I made a payment of {$100.00} and have been doing so at the same time every month for for 5 months. Again, this was under the agreement that my account would stay in collections, but not be reported to my credit report. The original amount due was {$870.00} and it is now {$370.00}. Today XXXX/XXXX/2015, I decided to check my credit and I see that Med-1 Solutions has reported the debt to my credit report even though we had an agreement that they would not do so. I called Med-1 Solutions and was told that there was nothing they could do to remove it unless it was reported in error. I was also told that as long as the account still had a balance that it was eligible to go to collections at any time. This is where the problem comes in. I was NEVER told this. NEVER. Obviously I care about my credit. If I did not then I would not be making monthly payments to them. Had I been informed on XXXX/XXXX/2015 when I made my first payment that there was still a potential for this debt to be reported to my credit report then I would have figured out another way to get it paid faster. I am not sure what is at stake for the account representatives when they collect money from consumers, but I feel as if she was not forthcoming to the point of deceiving me to believe that my account would stay out of collections as long as I was paying every month. I understand that the company will not remove the mark on my credit unless it is made in error. However, I do feel as it was in error. I was lied to in order for someone to take a payment. Additionally, I have not received any communication, or an updated bill since I started paying on XXXX.

I was making regular monthly payments to XXXX XXXX XXXX for medical bills not covered by my insurance. I believe it was in XXXX that I received a call from them stating that they could not accept the payments that I had been making and wanted more money monthly. I agreed to pay them a maximum of {$25.00} dollars monthly until the bill was paid. The following month I did not receive a statement and shortly thereafter I received a letter informing me that I had been turned over to REV 1 a collection agency. I immediately called REV 1 and attempted to resolve it. On the first call I was led to believe that as long as I paid {$53.00} a month it would not show on my credit report. After speaking with my wife we thought it best to go ahead and do this even though it would put us in a bind with the other medical bills we are paying. I called REV 1 back and very straight forwardly asked that if I make these payments that this will not show on my credit report. At this time the representative told me that she could not guarantee that it would not. She attempted to lead me to believe at this point that if I could pay the amount off in 4 months it would not show on my credit report. Again I straight forwardly asked if it would and she could not guarantee it. So I told her that I could not make an increase in the payments without a guarantee. There is only one month that I did not make a payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( and then sent no statement ) and entered into an agreement with them to pay {$25.00} dollars a month and then they turned me over to a collection agency. I do not feel this is legal nor good business practice. I do not dispute owing them money but I do dispute them not honoring their agreement and turn me over to a collection agency without warning.

On XX/XX/XXXX Med - 1 Solutions send me a letter informing me that I have a balance of {$4000.00}. That they previously tried reaching out to me to collect this debt under the FDCPA, and to that date they have not receive any resolution. I called spoke with XXXX XX/XX/XXXX after receiving the letter in the mail to understand what debt are theyre trying to collect. She informed me it was from year XXXX and the debt amount was {$4000.00} different from the letter Med- 1 Solutions send on XX/XX/XXXX. She also couldnt provide me with anymore information. She requested that I send a email asking for a idolized list of the debt theyre trying to collect. I send email XX/XX/XXXX. She informed me that Ill get a email back that day with the list. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX because I never receive list. She informed me they were unable to send via email and will send a list in the mail. I called back again on XX/XX/XXXX they informed me that they couldnt locate list and will have a supervisor give me a call back with update. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX they informed that a letter was send on XX/XX/XXXX. I requested that they send the list again On XX/XX/XXXX. I finally received list on XX/XX/XXXX I see that the balance owe from the medical bills are the balance of {$2800.00} and that I made a payment of {$200.00} by on XX/XX/XXXX and Med - 1 solutions added additional charges to the debt owe. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX to ask why I have additional charges and dont see the {$200.00} taken off debt, they place me on hold and then disconnect the line.

I recvd a phone call from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX regarding my last complaint with med-1 solutions. She informed me that shell speak with the legal dept. to see if we can can get rid of the legal fee that med - 1 solutions were charging then give a call back within 1 day. I never recvd a phone call back until XX/XX/XXXX. I informed her that I can start to make a payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I also recorded the conversation. I made a payment through portal. On XX/XX/XXXX. When I made that payment of {$50.00}, my balance was XXXX - my issue with med -1 solution is the they send me two letters informing me of what debt is owed. On XX/XX/XXXX I recvd a letter saying that I owe XXXX. I recvd another letter on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. Theyre constantly are changing the balance of what is owed and for me to pay back. I also made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX of {$200.00} which does not reflect on my total balance. I believe that they are giving my mis information and trying to charge more to me without any knowledge of why I am being charged. XXXX went to make a payment on med -1 solution website and the balance on my receipt sent to me on XX/XX/XXXX is XXXX again my balance is not the same nor does it says why theres a increase XXXX.

I understand that CFPB is cracking down on abusive, unnecessary and otherwise inflated medical billing practices, so I wanted to submit my complaint about Med-1 Solutions. I received noticed that I owed a combined total of {$3300.00} in medical bills that had surprise charges, and for services that were not only poorly rendered, but services that were tacked on that were not given. The company representative at Med-1 Solutions bullied me with threats of legal action they can not take, including seizing property without court action, and had me so scared if I didn't take their unreasonable settlement - a settlement that was inflated with fees that have no bearing on whatever services I received. The foul language used by the representative was uncalled for. Moreover, I am now on my FOURTH round of XXXX, and I can not fathom why I am being threatened by this company and their attorney representative for bills that the hospital never gave me a chance to " prompt pay ''. It is practices like these that have me, and others, losing faith in the medical billing realm, and practices like these that hopefully the CFPB will start cracking down on - especially in this questionable economy.

Med-1 Solutions, LLC was awarded judgment of {$3700.00}, by the XXXX XXXX Small Claims Court, State of Indiana, XXXX County. I had agreed and made {$1900.00} in payments toward this debt. However Med-1 Solutions, LLC filed and represented to the Court that no payments had been made and I still owed the entire amount. Due to this the Court granted them an income withholding order that has taken an additional {$800.00}, directly from my paycheck, as of XXXX/XXXX/16. I believe Med-1 Solutions, LLC violated 807 of the Fair Debt Collections Act, by alleging to this court that the entire amount of {$3700.00}, was still owed and represented to this Court that I had not made any payments. I tried contacting the creditor and asked that the update the Court with my true debt balance and they informed that they do not notify the Court of payment history and would not send anything in until they have a XXXX balance. This is a great hardship to me because the incoming withholding takes over {$400.00} dollars per paycheck. Therefore they have taken over {$1200.00} within the month of XXXX 2016 that has drastically crippled the debtor who had been paying {$200.00} per month.

We paid 1 of 2 medical bills that were sent to the XXXX XXXX collection company through their website XXXX XXXX XXXX in early XXXX 2017. The website is subpar, and gave an error upon trying to complete payment. HOWEVER, the transaction DID go through, and was immediately taken out of our account with a full transaction number. We have spent the last several months going back and forth with this company jumping through all their hoops to prove payment, to no avail. We have sent multiple emails with an attachment from our bank of proof of payment, double checking the email address and resending several times. They were even supposed to check the transaction with their accounting department and still say we did n't pay it, even when giving them the full transaction # and date. Today we have tried yet again to get them to credit the payment by sending a fax of the bank statement that shows the paid amount and transaction # and multiple emails with the bank statement attached. We 'll see if they finally credit it, but this is completely shady collection practices. If you ever have to pay a bill with them do it over the phone to save yourself this hassle.

Dates of service for XXXX of my children ranging from XXXX for a total of 9 accounts in collections for a total of {$2200.00}. I was told to call XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) and get check numbers and dates of payment as I have assured them via many phone calls to XXXX that these 9 accounts have been paid by XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Med1Solutions absolutely refuse to take any of the information that I received over the phone with XXXX. They are still trying to collect the full original amounts billed even though XXXX has paid these claims. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX told Med1Solutions that it is my responsibility to obtain the remittance from XXXX and submit it to them to post the payments to the accounts. I tried explaining that XXXX submitted that information to them already providing them with the check numbers and dates. Both companies continue to try collecting the debt from me even though XXXX paid them. I don't believe that it is fair debt collecting to accept payment from XXXX then turn around and bill the patient the full original amount of the claim. They are a XXXX network provider. This just does not seem right.

They call using a different number sometimes.they call everyday sometimes 3-4 times a day. I asked them to stop with repeated calls .they said they are in their right by law to make repeated calls til debt is collected.I asked if I submitted a letter to cease the constant calls would they then stop. I was told yes but then I would be sued immediately. I told them what hours my kids go to bed to please refrain from calling past XXXX if they felt they must call and if I had to tolerate the constant calling to keep from being called. I was informed they were in compliance with the law they could call me anytime they wish between XXXX and XXXX, I have a few bills on my self and my husband and could receive calls on each separate account that it was legal to do so.my daughter used my address so I now receive calls on her. I told them she does not live here. I was informed til they had a working number and proof of her address I would be receiving those calls.my daughter was homeless at the time bouncing from home to home giving my home number was for emergency contact only not for billing calls.

Hi, this complaint is in regards to MED-1 Solutions , LLC, XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX. I received a phone call on XX/XX/31 at XXXXXXXX XXXX about an alleged debt that was owed. I asked what the debt was for and they stated it was for a hospital visit. I stated I had not received any documentation about said visit and requested they send me documentation. They said they had already sent me documentation, which I again expressed I had not received. He then went on to say they would not send me any documentation about the charge and insisted I just had to pay without knowing what the payment was for. I hung up and called back in to speak to someone else and she let me know they can certainly send me information in regards to the debt. I do not appreciate being harassed by the male I spoke to, and being told I have to pay a debt without knowing the specifics behind what the debt pertains to. She noted that he certainly should have let me know there was an option to have that documentation sent.

This is my SECOND attempt to resolve this alleged debt with Med 1 Solutions ( see CFPB Complaint # XXXX ). The company alleges they talked to me about a payment arrangement, for which I have no clue as to how that happened, they must have me confused with another individual. The company DID speak with me, but in a derogatory and intimidating manner. I even went as far as agreeing to a lump-sum payment to resolve this issue - and it IS an issue as the services as charged were NOT services rendered, nor was my insurance even billed properly. Therefore, this is my SECOND offer to resolve this debt. I will pay a lump sum of {$850.00} to Med 1, and Med 1 will close this file and remove any derogatory credit reporting from all 3 bureaus. I am not interested in anything else but a lump-sum arrangement. I will exhaust all legal avenues possible should this not get resolved amicably. I do not wish to be contacted by phone or email regarding this. Send the agreed amount in the form of a bill and I will pay forthwith.

This is the XXXX company that has done this. Both were collecting for XXXX. I answered the phone, said that I was myself and the caller asked me for my date of birth. She called me. Her caller ID did n't say Med-1, even if it did that 's no guarantee. I have no idea if Med-1 is legitimate, only that I get statements from them purporting to be collecting for XXXX. I get many collection contacts for XXXX, I have no way of knowing if any are legitimate. It is completely inappropriate for a debt collector to request my personal information and opens the door for multitudes of phishing scams if it is legal. I suspect this is not allowed but I am not sure. It should be illegal for a bona fide debt collector to request any of my personal information. The caller called at approximately XXXX Central time to my Louisiana number. Date XX/XX/2016. She called from XXXX saying they were from MED-1 Solutions. Thank you. XXXX

I was unaware of this debt until I served with a summons. Med 1 is suing me. I received the summons on XXXX for a court date XXXX, During the weeks prior I tried to call Med 1 to see about a settlement but no one there was helpful and my attempts were deflected and futile. I have a company working on my credit and asked them what to do. They sent a letter ( attached ) asking for details on this. The " lawyer '' XXXX XXXX '' at Med 1 refused to give him the information since they are not a law firm requesting it. Even though I did sign a power of attorney permitting the company to act for me. As a result I was lucky to get a continuance but only until XXXX. I need details on what I am being sued for. How can I defend myself when I do n't have any of the information? This company is trying to skirt Federal law and bully me.

I found out about this debt when served with papers saying I was being sued by Med1 collections. The papers were served on XXXX XXXX 2015 with a court date of XXXX XXXX 2015! I work as a XXXX, I called when I could but Med1 would deflect my attempts to try and figure this out. I have a gentleman working on my credit and finances. I signed a power of attorney and asked him to get the information. He sent the " lawyer '' for Med1 a letter ( attached ) asking for paperwork to validate the debt so we can see what this is and if it is correct work out a settlement. The " lawyer '' says he has the paperwork but refused to give it to my representative since he was not a lawyer. He said the only way to get the paperwork is for me to call him. I do not want to call a debt collector and get bullied. I should not have to.

I've never worked there, ever. I do live on the same street as their business and believe this to be a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Med-1 Solutions, if working for XXXX would have my address, phone number, etc and not need to use a third party in which to contact me. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX opened this mail and notified me of it.

XXXX in XXXX, Florida incorrectly charged me a {$40.00} co-pay for XXXX when the co-pay per contract is only supposed to be {$25.00}. I sent the collection agency a copy of my medical insurance card documenting the correct {$25.00} charge as well as calling my medical insurance company that informed me that the XXXX was using the wrong tax payer id number and that is why the charge was incorrectly billed. I have contacted the collection agency numerous times including certified mail but they continue to send me collection notices.

I contacted this company to supply my Medicaid information to have this account rebilled. I have given the insurance information several times to the original creditor to bill. I have contacted my Medicaid representative who states per federal law this debt is not owed and the claim has been processed. I contacted the company to try and resolve off my credit and I was told there is nothing they could do. I am not responsible to pay this debt and it needs to be removed as it is causing me a financial hardship.

In regards to Med-1 response to my previous compliant, we did contact the court. They must verify the debt that they are collecting on if requested, and we have not received that. Or they must have prove that they sent this information out previously. Collection should be stopped until this information is sent.
