The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act states that companies who are attempting to collect a debt can not share personal and/or account information with references. References should be used in the location of the party that has the account. Companies are not supposed to tell who they are calling with or disclose any account information ( i.e. payment amounts, due dates, late fees, etc. ). I have had this problem twice with this company. The first time was with my XXXX-year-old ( now deceased ) grandmother. My account information was disclosed to her. In XX/XX/2019, this company contacted my father in an attempt to reach me. The problem arose when they disclosed my payment information, late fees, and other pertinent information about my account. My father made a payment on my behalf, and my grandmother did as well. They threatened my grandmother with rude comments about calling the police amongst other things. I brought this to the attention of the manager of the company. The first time it occurred, the manager was apologetic and assured me that it would not happen again. I contacted the company again when my father was contacted. The office manager ( or whatever her title is ), who goes by the name of " XXXX '' was very rude and short with me. She assured me that if my references were talking about making a payment that she " is gon na give them all of my account information ''. Luckily, I had the call on speaker phone and my husband, XXXX XXXX, can attest to hearing her rude attitude and the comments that were made by an unprofessional employee of this company. I am appalled because I know for a fact it is against the collection laws for them to disclose any personal information to anyone who has not signed loan paperwork with me. I signed alone, I am not a minor, so they are not allowed to discuss my account with anyone. I understand asking for my location, asking for my phone number, or even leaving a message for me to contact them. However, being unprofessional and disclosing my private information in order to get a payment in their books is unacceptable.

I was advised to write to you by your customer service department concerning my credit rating with your company. I have enjoyed a credit account with you for many years. During the course of our business association, I have honored and respected my account agreement to the fullest. I appreciate how wonderful your service has always been.
Unfortunately, I was in a financial dilemma due to job loss. As a result, my payment to you were delayed. Because your account with me is extremely important I managed to borrow the money to cover the late payments. I made sure to fulfill my obligation to ensure that your company suffered no loss.
I am thankful and appreciative for the years of positive credit history that I have obtained through your company but now the late marks dated on my credit reports are causing me tremendous stress. I am trying to move up to a better paid position at my work, but the negative remarks are hurting my efforts.
This is where my " Goodwill Request '' comes in. I desperately need this promotion and I would be extremely appreciative if you would please complete a UDF - Universal Data Form and send it to the credit bureaus to reflect paid on time " never late ''.
The credit bureaus have advised me that they will report anything as instructed to by you, but they need to have that instruction in writing. I will place my account on auto pay and promise to make all payments on time in the future.
I beg that you may help me and take into consideration how good of a customer I have been and how long I have had an account with you. My family very much needs this to pay for medical care that we desperately need. I hope you can find it in your heart to help us.

My name is XXXX XXXX. I am filing a formal complaint against Local Finance in XXXX XXXX Georgia. I have been utilizing this company since 2020 I recently renewed my loan at this company in XXXX of this year. I have payed this loan down the amount unknown right now to the amount of c. $ {$250.00}. They informed me that I can renew this loan but when they told me that I can only receive {$40.00}, I became suspicious ; and called the branch manager. I asked her why I was paying a high interest rate despite the fact that I have payed off numerous loans with this company. She then said that she does not know ; and that I have to have 4 loans at the same rate for them to increase my payment from XXXX to XXXX. Also I asked her why my loan is not being reported to the credit bureau. She then said that they have switched over to a different company and that its not being reported because of this reason. After a little time she then said that the reason that the interest is high is because they are a short term lender. I feel that I have been forced into some of the loans that I have taken out. The reason that I say this is because I tried to pay my loan off in entirety and a worker there informed me that she just had someone post off their loan and I need to wait wasnt just pay it when it comes due. Which makes no sense given the fact that its not being reported on my behalf. I need this to be looked into further. If possible to be reimbursed in full if there is any malpractice.

On XX/XX/2018 I made my payment for XXXX first payment which the rep said that it would not show negative on my credit because it was in XXXX days and I would be fine he guaranteed me that. Then I noticed that my XXXX payment was showing past due on my credit which I made my payment on the XXXX which shows on my credit but showed that I feel into the 30-60 days. I informed management and it took a week for them to contact me. XXXX talked to me and was very rude to me Told me if I made my payment on time this would not happen. I never felt so disrespected in my life. He said that I had to do all this stuff for him to fix my credit even though I told him that I could not do all that he wanted. He kept being rude to me and I told him I was filing a compliant. I want all of the negative remarks from Local finance to be removed and I am even going the lengths to pay them off Friday. I have been with them for years and have never been 30 days late with them. XXXX XXXX acted like I was a horrible customer and I will never get a loan with them again.

1st complaint # - XXXX I originally filed my first complaint XX/XX/19. After speaking with XXXX the branch manager on XX/XX/19 & requesting she stop contacting my job ; she called back to.my office again XX/XX/19 to harass me on my job for the 2nd day in a row. After speaking with me at my job & still threatening to have me arrested at my job site, XXXX then called my husband back & threatened him again with have myself and him arrested.
I have explained multiple times that I do not have payment & for her to follow whatever course she needs to. XXXX has continued to call my job after being told to stop. She is still threatening my husband & still threatening to come to my house.
Also after she made threatening phone calls, she ran my credit XX/XX/19 without permission & her comment to me was she was calling every contact she could to.force me into the branch to redo.loan which I have refused to do.
XXXX, branch manager will not stop making harassing and threatening phone calls to my job or spouse.
Please make it stop!!

XXXX the manager of the XXXX branch of Local Finance LLC, contacted me last week on XX/XX/2019 about my payment - which is late. I informed her that I have had a change of jobs & financial situation & I would be unable to make a payment until XX/XX/2019. Today, XX/XX/2019, XXXX called my office ; after I specifically asked her not too ; and proceeded to tell a co-worker that I was behind on my loan, how much I owed and shes considering filing legal against me. After that call, she contacted my husband, threatened him with legal action, he ISN'T on my loan & asked him if he liked the police at his home because they would be here tonight with arrest warrant for me unless he paid my account up to date. I called the office & spoke with her, asking why she contacted my place of employment & husband telling my financial info & threatening me. She proceeded to start screaming she was taking me to court, she knew where I lived and would be at my home tonight, she was bringing the police with her & I hung up on her.

On XX/XX/2020 " XXXX '' from Local Finance called my employer and told her to make sure to tell me that " because I was avoiding her ( XXXX ) phone calls she would make a point to be at my house tonight. " This was threatening and humiliating.
I have called this company and i have gone to this company to make some kind of arrangement with them on paying my debt but they will not accept any smaller payments. They want a huge sum to even get me to move forward in the payment. I was going to bring them money on a set up time but they had called my place of employment and my cell phone 3 times before i could even get there.
They call and leave messages at work saying where they are from and who they are and it is very embarrassing. I am doing the best that i can but at this point i can not make the huge payments they want me to make. I have been harassed and threatened and professionally humiliated. I would file a lawsuit for all of this but i do not even know where to start. Please help me. XXXX

Local XXXX XXXXs sent me a check and on XX/XX/XXXX I cashed it as soon as I cashed it the branch manager they're called me I was out work so it went to voicemail then called my husband right after then called my family relatives spoke with one of my relatives and told them I cashed 1 of their checks and should they be worried. Then continued to verify all my information with my relative wondering if the number I provided was correct even know it was the same number in the system for several years. I do not speak what this relative I was very embarrassed finding out that local financial told them that I cashed a check and wanted to know if they should be worried. I spoke with XXXX upper management and he did research and told me he sorry for the inconvenience and it won't happen again I was expecting more to take place on this. Then the branch manager called me today telling me I need to come in there and make a payment.

I am a victim of identity theft and I have submitted a notarized affidavit which serves as a legal document to my identity theft. I am also a victim of the XXXX breach and opted out of the settlement because I have suffered extreme losses due to the breach and the identity theft. I need the fraud accounts that are in my letter that is attached removed permanently from my file as I have also contacted the creditors as well. This is extreme in violation of my fair credit reporting act rights and I will seek legal recourse. I have also attached the printout of me being affected by the XXXX breach as well.

I was sent a live check in the mail by Local Finance. I was having issues paying the loan. When I tried to contact the branch and explain my situation, the branch manager, XXXX, was very rude to me. She has left several messages on my voicemail : threatening to call the police on me, threatening to come to my house, threatening to have me served at work, she called my job and was rude to my coworker and asked to speak with my manager, she called my mother and was rude to her and she also sent me a letter stating she was going to sue me.

Due to being a XXXX XXXX with a child who has had numerous sicknesses and XXXX causing me to miss work, I have been struggling. I try to pay every time I have extra money to keep it current but they ( Local Finance ) harass me with repetitive phone calls that disrupt my work day. As cosigner on a loan I was notified after the payment was late ..under 30 days ... and paid the loan off myself over the next 90 days. The loan does not show any online payments on my credit report only 1, 30 to 59 day late payment when the pay history other than the one instance was perfect. Reported fraudulently with bias against myself by the lender and must be removed entirely due to violation on fcra.

Company persuaded me to renew so payments could get back on track. Before renewing I explained to company that I was in a hardship.
