XXXX XXXX has a Private student loan that is serviced by XXXX , XXXX, formerly XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Loan Science is the master servicer and the lender does n't have a mailing address or phone number or any employees according to Loan Science. XXXX XXXX took out 6 loans for the following amounts. 1. {$5000.00} 2. {$5000.00} 3. {$5000.00} 4. {$5000.00} 5. {$5000.00} 6. {$6000.00} XXXX XXXX the loan into the following loans without XXXX XXXX 's permission A-1 {$5000.00} A-2 {$15000.00} A-3 {$11000.00} In this time period XXXX XXXX did NOT know the following ( proof attached ) 1. How his payments were allocated 2. The balance of the individual loans 3. The method used for the allocation 4. The rates of the individual loans 5. The rate changes for the individual loans In this time period XXXX XXXX was unable ( by XXXX and Loan Science admission ) to 1. Make individual loan payments 2. Make partial payments to avoid deferment to one loan instead of all in the group ( for example he was billed {$120.00} for A-2 but really he should have had the opportunity to pay {$50.00} for loan 2 to keep it current ) 3. Specify how to apply loan payments via the mail lockbox As a result of the above 1. XXXX XXXX 's credit report was incorrect 2. XXXX XXXX 's credit balance were incorrect 3. XXXX XXXX 's credit history did not show correct length or balance of payments To hide this information XXXX and Loan Science 1. Withheld loan balances and rates upon request 2. Withheld payoff amounts upon request 3. Sent redacted promissory note with page numbers blacken out and told this was the complete document. 4. Sent 3/6 promissory notes and told that was all of them in order to trick XXXX XXXX into thinking he only had 6 loans. 5. Failed to properly inform XXXX XXXX partial payments would suffice to keep one or more loan in good standing 6. Failed to tell XXXX XXXX the nature of his loans upon multiple calls. 7. Failed to tell XXXX XXXX his interest rates 8. Failed to provide a correct and usable payment history for each loan 9. Failed to respond to any request in a timely manner 10. Failed to explain how his loan payments were applied or calculated. The results led to 1. Minimum payments decreased from {$50.00} ( contract ) to as low as {$30.00} in some cases thus costing XXXX XXXX thousands in interest and denying his opportunity to payoff the loan in advance 2. Rates were averaged or mixed and payments were allocated in a manner that was disclosed to XXXX XXXX. There was no way to know what was happening to his loan. 3. XXXX XXXX attempted to payoff individual loans with a tax return but was unable to complete the task due to the lack of disclosing of the individual balances or compliance with requests to know which loan had the highest rate 4. XXXX XXXX 's credit report showed higher balances thus hurting his credit Then XXXX attempted to switch the rates and balances for multiple loans in an effort to confuse XXXX XXXX. ( attached ) With multiple calls to XXXX and Loan Science neither company offered to correct the issue. With Loan Science as a witness XXXX XXXX called numerous times to speak to a representative at XXXX and was denied the opportunity to speak to a person about his loan for over 90 days. They would refuse to answer questions and continually hang up or transfer to an unmanned voicemail system even after requests to stay on the line until a person answered. Loan Science issued an administrative deferment after this episode. 1. XXXX XXXX owed {$0.00} before the forebearance 2. The issues were not correct or even addressed 3. XXXX refused to answer calls for 90 days with Loan Science as witness 4. XXXX is now reporting XXXX XXXX 60 days late and caused his credit to drop over 100 points I believe XXXX and Loan science are in violated of the following the Unfair and deceptive practices related to payment allocation, in violation of Sections 1031 and 1036 of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 ( CFPA ), 12 U.S.C. 5531, 5536 ; XXXX mislead and refused to provide information necessary for each transaction. On XXXX/XXXX/2015 I filed a complaint with CFPB, Case # XXXX. Loan Science responded to this complaint and offered me a Loan Modification for my student loan. I accepted the Loan Modification and signed it and returned it to Loan Science on XXXX/XXXX/2015. In their response to my complaint, they stated that XXXX ( their Loan Servicer ) would have the Loan Modification processed within 10 business day. Well, it is now past 10 business days. XXXX processed only part of the Loan Modification. They reduced the interest rate to 0 %, they reduced my payments to {$410.00}, and set my payment plan up for 354 months ... BUT, they did not reduce my principal amount. Currently, on XXXX website it states that I owe $ XXXX still. I should only owe $ XXXX according to my loan modification. See attached documents. I called Loan Science to find out why this still is n't updated. They then did a conference call with XXXX to find out why it is n't updated. We had to talk to several different people and we were finally transferred to a Supervisor with XXXX who claimed that they did n't recieve the information from Loan Science to reduce the principal, only the information to set up the payment at {$410.00}, the reduced interest rate at 0 %, and the payment schedule of XXXX payments. And then XXXX mentioned something about taking the amount off after I paid for 30 years. I do n't think so, this needs to be updated now to reflect the information the loan modification states. Not only am I stuck paying for a predatory loan that I feel is n't fair but when they offer me some sort of relief, they still ca n't even get that updated properly. I am at my wits end. I spoke with XXXX very nice ladies today at Loan Science, XXXX named XXXX, and her supervisor XXXX XXXX who told me that she would have this resolved by Friday and that XXXX would have their website updated to reflect the reduced principal amount. Although she stated that this would be updated by Friday I still feel the need to file a complaint because I need to make sure I have record of this issue so that it 's not delayed any further. It seems I only have resolution when I complain on this website. I want to make sure the principal amount is reduced before I may my first {$410.00} payment due on XXXX XXXX, 2015 because I fear that if they do n't have the principal amount reduced, any payment that I make will get applied to the old principal amount and when XXXX finally gets around to updating to the reduced principal amount any payment I have made will get lost and then I will have an entirely new problem to deal with.

I applied for and received a loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX when I was in college 10 years ago. My loan was later sold to Loan Science. XXXX XXXX XXXX is the servicer of my loan. I have always paid my loan on time and have never had any problems until 2 weeks ago. My aunt, who is the cosigner on my loan, called me and said that Loan Science called her to ask for the payment. I told her I would take care of it. When I got off the phone, I got a phone call from Loan Science saying that I was short on my last payment. It was now 15 days past due. I asked how much and they said a little over {$1.00}, but because I was short that amount when I paid, they also assessed a late fee for another dollar and some change. They were calling me because I now owed them {$2.00}. They explained that they talked to my aunt and she had paid it, but wanted to let me know what my new monthly payment was. It had changed because of a variable interest rate. I thanked her and thought it was over. Then I got another phone 3 days later from Loan Science stating that I was still in default on my loan for the {$2.00}. I explained that I was told it had been paid. She apologized and said they had made a mistake and no payment had been made. I told her I would take care of it and pay through my bank. Since that day I have received 15 more phone calls from Loan Science. This has all been within a 10 day time span. I have never been left a message, they just continue to call until I pick up and ask the same question over and over again. I feel that I am being harassed by Loan Science for a small mistake. I had moved recently and gotten married and in the shuffle had n't had time to update my correct address and name change. I just sent the same amount I always sent every month. I can not stress enough that I am responsible and always pay on time. I think it was absurd the amount of phone calls I received regarding such a small amount of money. When I tried calling XXXX about changing my address the woman who received my call refused to talk to me because she said my account was past due and I had to talk to Loan Science. She rudely cut me off and transferred me to Loan Science who can not help me with name or address changes. They said I would have to call XXXX for that. I finally got XXXX of someone who would help me after Loan Science called XXXX to explain what I was wanting. This boils down to a simple mistake but was treated as a crime and harassed by the many phone calls from Loan Science.

XXXX XXXX XXXX the original creditor of my student loan from XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX in which I have been having issues settling this debt or effectively communicating with anyone that holds this debt. XXXX XXXX XXXX went bankrupt after settling with the attorney generals office in XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX in which my loan was a part of the time period the company was offering kickback to certain universities to steer students to receive this loan. None the less this loan was services by XXXX which probably closed down as well then serviced by Loan Science. Neither companies were satisfied with any solution to rectify the amount even when I was not working and still attending school they still wanted full payment. Loan Science sent me to collection in XXXX with offering very little solutions and with constant communication while I was still attending graduate school. XXXX XXXX was the collection company that held the loan they offered XXXX options to pay off the loan which I could not afford, I brought up additional disputes and that only stopped them from calling but they did not work out any other solution with me. I recently finished XXXX school only two weeks ago and notices coincidentally the calls and letters have started coming again this time from XXXX collection agencies XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which requesting payment to each company on the same debt. Now I do not know which company to work with and I will be contacting Loan Science again to request the original paper work of the original loan and I will also request the same paper work from the debt collectors. I would like a reasonable solution to rectify this loan or find out if my loan may be able to dismissed due to the settlement if not I want a solution that is affordable to my budget. None of these companies in the past have offered any affordable solutions or even had an interest to look into my personal financial situation to come up with a reasonable solution. I recently cleared up my credit and my other federal student loans are in good standing. I do not want this matter to drastically effect my financial future.

I have been in the process of applying for forbearance with XXXX who holds my private loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX since XXXX of XXXX. Payments began to accumulate due to a paperwork error and I began to be reached out to by Loan Science, the debt collector. I have continued to work with XXXX as well as Loan Science to amend the error and have since been stuck in the review process on the XXXX side. Since XXXX I and my mother, a consigned, have had continued multiple phone calls almost daily despite having had two conference calls with XXXX and Loan Science regarding the matter. Today XX/XX/XXXX I had received yet another call at XXXX, this time including a voicemail from Loan Science stating to call to return their call as they have good news. I return their call and I am then informed that my request for forbearance had been denied by XXXX. I had informed them that I had been checking daily and was not informed of such a decision. The woman I spoke with insisted that I had been denied and that I should apply for a payment plan. Following the phone call I contacted XXXX to confirm Loan Sciences claim. XXXX informed me that my forbearance request was still in review and that no such decision had yet been made. Loan Science has consistently harassed both my mother and I despite being asked to no longer be contacted by my mother and my consistent attempts to keep them updated with XXXX. In addition they have continued to attempt to deceive myself and my mother with claiming previous voicemails that were never left as well as claiming forbearance was denied by XXXX when it is not the case. I have been contacted on the following dates. XX/XX/XXXX - 1 time XX/XX/XXXX -4 times XX/XX/XXXX - 2 times XX/XX/XXXX - 1 time XX/XX/XXXX - 2 times XX/XX/XXXX XXXX4 times XX/XX/XXXX - 2 times XX/XX/XXXX 2 times Calls maintain this level of frequency with both myself and my consigner to the end of XXXX beginning of XX/XX/XXXX.

This initially began in XX/XX/2011until now, when I decided to investigate this loan company. The following is the claim that will be made in court against Loan Science, a company that claims they own some of my loans : 1 ) Plaintiff has made prior payments to Loan Science without investigating the validation of debt with this company until now. 2 ) Plaintiff did not make a loan with Loan Science and no has no documentation with a signature and notarization approving Loan Science as an owner of alleged debt. 3 ) Plaintiff has asked the Defendant, Loan Science, for verification of debt, but has been unsuccessful in gaining proper documentation to prove its ownership. 4 ) Additionally it was requested that if the account has been sold to another creditor, then that creditor must prove that it has the right to collect the debt or state why the document can not be provided. If these loans were sold, the physical documents of the loans should be notarized and signed each time the loan was sold to prove ownership. Currently these loans show a company called XXXX XXXX as an affiliate owner, which has no address, phone number, and unknown active business status. 5 ) The documentation that has been provided to Plaintiff shows various companies that have bought and sold various securitizations of loans and companies that no longer exist, yet still holds alleged promissory notes. 6 ) There were exhibits that were omitted from the documents that were sent. 7 ) Requested but never received all the necessary information from Loan Science in an attempt to resolve this issue outside of court. 8 ) Total current amount of debt Loan Science is seeking from Plaintiff is {$26000.00} 9 ) Monthly payments being paid to Loan Science is {$140.00} until paid off. 10 ) A complaint has been filled with Federal Trade Commission Online Portal. Reference number is XXXX.

In XX/XX/XXXX, I experienced a severe hardship as the result of wildfires in the XXXX XXXX / XXXX XXXX areas, which affected my ability to work greatly, severely reducing income and inhibiting my ability to make my student loan payments. Shortly after this disaster occurred, FEMA declared this incident as a Federal Emergency ( as noted on their website as well ). While nearly all of my other private lenders allowed for a 3 to 6 month Natural Disaster forbearance as permitted by federal law for declared disasters and emergencies, LOAN SCIENCE has refused to assist me during this exorbitantly difficult time due to a technicality of the disaster being listed as " NATIONAL EMERGENCY '' as opposed to Disaster ; and, they have refused to return my calls or give me resolution for over one month - even after requesting repeated contacts from the Executive Office in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX - and speaking at length with a LOAN SCIENCE Manager via phone several times to attempt to resolve this matter either with an honored forbearance or significantly lower payment options during this tim e . LOAN SCIENCE has caused me extreme mental and emotional distress during this very difficult time after experiencing a natural disaster, where as all other private lenders have worked with me to aid me through this difficult process and time, and I am in need of immediate resolution to this ongoing issue with LOAN SCIENCE 's unwillingness to honor their commitment to their ailing and displaced customers, and their neglect to speak with me as promised to resolve this matter and offer assistance with my loans during this ongoing difficult time, in the form of an Administrative or Natural Disaster Forbearance as previously promised.

Two collection agencies by the name of Loan Science and XXXX has been continually harassing me by phone. It started on XX/XX/2016 with calls from a company by the name of XXXX - XXXX. They have called 1x XX/XX/XXXX ; 2x XX/XX/XXXX ; 2x XX/XX/XXXX ; 2x XX/XX/XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving calls from Loan Science. They called 1x XX/XX/XXXX with phone XXXX ; 3x XX/XX/2016 phone XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/2016 phone XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/2016 phone XXXX ; 2x XX/XX/2016 phone XXXX ; 1x XX/XX/2016 phone XXXX. They are looking for a person by the name of XXXX. Both of these companies are looking for the same person. I explained to their representative " I do not know of this person or have I ever heard of a person by this name, and that I am listed on the XXXX and also my State of Indiana Do Not Call List ''. The representative then hung up on me. They continue to change their phone number with each call so it is hard to monitor who is calling. They should not be allowed to harass people on the Do Not Call lists who have no knowledge of a debt that is owed by someone that they have no knowledge of. They should be held accountable for violating the National and State Do Not Call Lists. I myself, have never had a student loan in my life!

I am unable to pay the full payment amount which is $ XXXX+ per a month for my student loan. I called Loan Science to set up a reduced payment plan. They are only able to offer me a reduced payment plan of {$360.00}. I advised that I am unable to pay that amount. I am only able to afford to pay {$200.00} per a month. They told me that there is nothing that they can offer me right now. But, to check back with them at a later date to see if they have any new programs. I told them that I was trying to set up the {$200.00} payment plan before I received a late payment on my credit report or before the loan went into default. They then told me that once my payment becomes more delinquent they will have other programs that they possibly can offer me for a reduced payment plan. But, why ca n't they just set it up now - why do I have to wait until I have a late payment on my credit report or my account is in severe delinquent status before they will adjust my payment amount. They 've done it before, but only after they dinged me on my credit report for XXXX days late - why do I have to have my credit destroyed before they 're willing to reduce my payment when they could set it up now and I could avoid dings on my credit. That seems wrong to me.

I have student loans with XXXX private student loans ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) is LOAN SCIENCE , LLC. I have currently XXXX dollars of student debt. Every month, I pay about {$200.00}. I have just called them and ask them if they take under the consideration that I have another student loans to pay and if they could lower my payments. My interest rate is 6.640 % Variable. ( it seem much higher ) What happened if I get sick or lose my job. They said there is not their problem, and I have to pay 200 monthly for other 18 years. I am 48 years woman live in poverty and do n't have any retirement plan because of my student loans. I also have government student loans, and they are so flexible and take life circumstances under the consideration. This is so cruel that I ca n't refinance my student loans and ca n't do anything about it. Coming from another country and going to college is my biggest mistake ever in this country. I wish I would turn the time and never go to college here. XXXX is horrible company!! Is there anything I can do about it!! Can I refinance? I think that interest is much higher than 6.60 %. Can I hire the service to investigate my account? I think something is not right!

My XXXX student loan was in forbearance which has ended with my next payment due on XX/XX/2017 at {$820.00} I called to explain I can not afford this payment several times and was told I have to wait until after I miss payments to call Loan Science who handles the billing. I called Loan Science on XX/XX/2017 to question the payment amount and I was told that this includes late fees, I have not been late the loan was in forbearance but because this company does n't immediately put a loan into forbearance it accrues late fees. I find this absurd and question how this can be legal? The also informed me that they do not have any repayment plans available and I need to pay the {$820.00} on due date or I will be charged a late fee and next month my payment will be {$650.00} which is also an absurd amount to think someone can pay. I want to file a complaint against loan science for purposely and knowingly keeping me in debt by refusing to work with me based on what I can afford and also by tagging on late fees when a loan is under heir control for forbearance.

XXXX XXXX who is under a loan servicer called Loan Science have incorrectly reported incorrect information on all three credit reporting agencies. They reported that I was 120 days past due with my loans, which I am current. I have been paying my student loan payment of {$76.00} every month, which I have proof that it has been taken out every month for about 4 to 5 years. Two weeks ago, they reported incorrect information on my credit report that I was 120 days past due, which I was not and I am on the phone with them now and they do not know why that happened. They caused my credit score to decrease to almost 200 points from an XXXX. I am HIGHLY upset because the company had a system error or something. I want this correct immediately.

I had a private loan that was consolidated in XX/XX/XXXX to Loan Science from XXXX XXXX. My cosigner and fianc died XX/XX/XXXX, the company worked with me on lower payment plan for the last 8 years. I was not aware that they would suddenly decide to stop offering a lower payment plan, or that once I had to pay the full payment, which is difficult as I care for my XXXX mom and still recovering from the sudden loss of my fianc, would be XXXX % of the payment would be going to interest, and that the interest rate would cripple me for the next 25 years. Private student loans are predator, and I feel as if I have been prayed on. With the current payment, I am barely able to provide for my family.

I have 2 loans who were once with Loan Science. I have been on multiple repayment arrangements and each time I would set it up they would never actually take the money out of my account. I would wait for it to come out, try to get a hold of them to no avail and then they would call and harass anyone they could to try to get a payment. The loan has been sold so many times, it's impossible to track. I believe it's currently in default since there is no servicer that lasts longer than a couple months. I just received another letter again that the loans were sold yet again. I also received a letter in the mail stating it was discharged. I don't even know if I still owe the money legitimately.

I currently am paying a private student loan with XXXX/Loan Science, previously XXXX XXXX XXXX, and was out of full-time employment for seven months. After multiple attempts, they were totally unwilling to not only adjust my payment at the very least, but they were also unwilling to allow a forbearance, or deferment. As a result I have not been able to make payments, and they are dinging my credit constantly, and calling my home and my step-fathers ( co-signer ) home all hours of the day. I looked at an overview of my payments and since 2013 out of {$5500.00} paid, only {$230.00} has gone to the principal, the rest to interest and fees, its really legalized robbery.

The customer service rep told me a program to lower my rate was available 2 years ago but is no longer an option. I was not informed of this program, to which he agreed. He said that I was n't contacted because I was making payments and that no options now exist. I am concerned that I was never informed of this program and I also do not believe it to be good practice to only extend offers to people who are in default.

XXXX and XXXX are not updating my credit report for one negative item. XXXX and XXXX keeps providing bogus information claiming that my negative item was investigated. I personally contacted the creditor on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to confirm and they NO LONGER have the disputed account on their records since XXXX. XXXX and XXXX " investigation '' stated that this creditor reported their first delinquency on XXXX. The creditor got paid through my already dismissed chapter XXXX that was filed on XX/XX/XXXX and discharged XX/XX/XXXX. The chapter XXXX has already been deleted from my credit reports along with all the involved accounts except this one.

I recently received a collection letter. This debt has been disputed long ago and removed. This debt does not belong to me. The alleged debt was for a private student loan. The check was never received nor cashed. If the collection agency can not prove that the funds were BOTH disbursed AND cashed, BY ME, then it need to be removed. Additionally, the alleged debt is from XXXX - XXXX. The original company that the application was submitted to went out of business.

The prior owner of our phone number allegedly has a debt with a company that calls us constantly even though we have informed them that we do not know that person and that they have the wrong number. They call several times a day even though they have promised to remove our number. They will stop for a few months then it starts up again. We have had this phone number now for seven years.
