In XXXX XXXX, I received a voicemail from XXXX XXXX who said I had been put on her schedule to be served. She said to contact XXXX with questions. I called and spoke with XXXX XXXX ( Phone : XXXX ) on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. He said he worked for XXXX XXXX XXXX and said I owed a debt to XXXX XXXX that had not been paid on since XXXX. This was completely incorrect. That debt was paid in through a debt management program called XXXX, which submitted regular payments to XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX ( Phone : XXXX ), a collection agency that works for XXXX Lending. The debt was paid off in XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX to confirm this, as well as XXXX XXXX, accounts manager for XXXX XXXX ( XXXX : XXXX ) who also confirmed that the account had been paid. XXXX was supposed to send me a paid in full letter on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and make sure to have his broker recall my account from any collection agencies. When I did not receive the letter, I spoke with him again in on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, where he once again said he would send a paid in full letter to me and contact the broker again to recall the account. I still have never received a paid in full letter. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I received a voicemail from a restricted number from a man named XXXX XXXX who said I had been put on his schedule to be served papers regarding a claim that had been submitted against me. He said any questions should be directed to the company who submitted the claim at XXXX and gave me a case number to reference. I called the company, Lionstone Holdings Group, and spoke with XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. He said the same thing the company from XXXX had said - that I owe a debt to XXXX XXXX that had not been paid on since XXXX. I told him that it was paid and that I 'd gone through this same incorrect claim with another collection company earlier this year. He was incredibly rude to me and said I had to provide a paid in full letter or the claim will remain against me. Later that day I received another call from the server XXXX XXXX. He said he would be at my house Monday ( today is Friday ) at XXXX and that I need to make myself available. I said I would most certainly not be available and I would not accept or sign any papers. He then got VERY rude and loud and said it was not optional and hung up on me. Obviously, I was incredibly upset by being treated this way. I then called XXXX XXXX 's office ( also on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) and spoke with his secretary and explained all of this to her. She checked his files and said he had not recorded any interactions with me at all! She said she would get my account recalled from any collection agencies but that I need to get the paid in full letter from XXXX XXXX since his agency took the payments on behalf of XXXX XXXX. I called and spoke with XXXX XXXX ( XXXX/XXXX/XXXX XXXX and he said he will send me a paid in full letter. He also said I should ignore the unfounded threats from the collection agency and the server, and recommended I file a complaint with the attorney general and the CFPB. He said he would be happy to help in any way to take action against these people and their bogus claims and rude threats. I have had past debts, but I have worked hard to pay them off and I do not deserve to be threatened and harassed like this. Please investigate these companies so that they will stop doing this to people. Thank you.

I was contacted by phone to let me know that the caller would be coming to my home on XXXX XXXX, 2016 to have me sign forms regarding collecting a debt I ( supposedly ) owed. When I asked the caller what was the debt? She did not tell me but referred me to a phone number to call to get such answers. She politely supplied the number, and I immediately called it. The number I called : ( XXXX ) belongs to a debt collection company LHG - Lionstone Holding Group. I spoke with a customer service representative by the name of XXXX XXXX. She verified that they were attempting to collect a debt from a XXXX XXXX at telephone XXXX. The social security last for digits did not match my social security number and the date of birth also did not match my date of birth. With this information verified, she said that the may have the wrong person, and to not worry about it. I asked for the address that they were sending the first caller to, this they would not diverge because they said it did not matter since it appears that they probably had the wrong person. I told her that this matter still mattered to me because I had never heard of a credit collection agency sending someone out to your home to have persons sign papers regarding a debt. The Rep replied that that part was handled in another department and she did not know about that portion of the work. I asked what was the debt, but she insisted that since the social security number and DOB did not match, she could not tell me any more about the debt. I told her I was very disturbed about how the whole issue was being handled because I was called on my phone and harassed about a debt they claim I owed and would be coming to my home on Friday XXXX XXXX ) to have me sign certain forms, yet they can not tell me what kind of debt or how much it is ... after disturbing me in my home by an harassing phone call over it ...., left me disturbed and unsatisfied with the results. I also told her that I had never heard of a collection agency being sent to your home to collect a debt or sign papers concerning the debt, and that the only people I know that come to your home are sheriffs to serve notices and warrants - and they come with guns on their hips prepared to protect themselves ; I also stated that the collection agency 's practices were disturbing to innocent people and dangerous to the people being sent out, and I would report this incident to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau both for my sake and for the workers ' sake, and that they needed to change their practices.

I have received repeated phone calls with a man using the name of " XXXX XXXX ( spelling? ) '' ( private number ) stating that he will be at my location for me to sign legal documents and that he has placed he on his schedule. He also further states that he has my social security number. This morning, at exactly XXXX XXXX CST he called again ( private number ) to both of my cell phone numbers with the same message verbatim has before. Towards the end of the message he directs me to call : XXXX. I called this number and it just rang and rang until it either went to a unnamed voice mail or a lady picked up. I spoke with this lady and gave her as little information as possible. I repeatedly asked her what the name of her company was until after several attemps she finally told me she worked for " XXXX XXXX XXXX ( spelling? ) '' and kept asking me for my social security number but I refused to give it to her. Through several minutes of repeated attempts I only gave her my name, and she told me I have an outstanding balance from XXXX for {$1000.00}. I asked her if I could speak to the original creditor or verify this debt before continuing and she ignored my request and repeated said that they are going to find me at my residence and take legal action. She kept asking me if I was to make an offer probably XXXX times and would not listen to anything I had to say. She would only ask what my offer was or that her supervisor will issue someone to collect the debt and/or issue legal documents to be on their behalf. I asked for them to mail me whatever paperwork or documentation of this debt and they refused and said at this point they will only be able to obtain this debt by personal contact. Furthermore, it appears that this call are " robo calls '' since the call I receive from them is the same thing verbatim as the last calls were.

I received a message left on my cell number. The message was detailed stating that they needed to make sure I was around so I can sign for papers. My girlfriend received a message latter the same day XXXX/XXXX/2016 that was very detailed on her voice mail stating I needed to call a XXXX XXXX at XXXX that they received a claim against me under my name and SSN for file XXXX and she wanted to make sure I could sign for the papers for what is being filed against me. I was very upset and concerned and left worked and called the number provided. It went to a Lionstone Holdings Group who would not work out arrangements with me. They demanded I pay {$81.00} a week/ {$320.00} a month. 15 % of my weekly pay before I pay for my health insurance and other expenses. I told them I could not afford that arrangement and they said there was nothing else they could do. On XXXX/XXXX/2016 they called my employer. I told them I could not get calls at my work and provided my cell that they already have on file. I explained I am not permitted to answer my cell at work and the female states she would call later. She preceded to the call my cell within minutes of ending the call. I am willing to make reasonable arrangements on the matter however can not receive calls of these nature. They are upsetting, intimidating, and down right embarrassing. I kept the recorded messages if they are needed.

Received a call on my cell phone stating that they will be at my house tomorrow to bring paperwork because I am being sued. I was like hold on what is this all about? The lady gave me a number to call and said she thought they contacted me. I called the number she gave me and was on hold a long time. The gentleman picked up and was eager to get my info. They named a debt that I was paying to another company and told me my payment declined and now they have taken over. I know for a fact my payment would have not declined because the debt was coming out on payday. I was like look I need to see something in writing because the balance is higher than what it should be he got rude and then I told him XXXX I need something in writing not giving my information out randomly. I asked for a manager. The manager insisted I had to pay {$180.00} a month XXXX bi weekly. I explained I ca n't afford that. I said the best I can do is XXXX and pay extra when I can. She said no call me back when you can agree to the terms and hung up on me. I called back and hour later and got someone extremely nice that explained the company sold and merged and the accounts set without payments. I set up a payment arrangement because of {$100.00} because I do n't want my credit hurt. But the XXXX XXXX people were harassing and lying which is so unprofessional.

I got a collection call from this company call lionstone holdings. They have contacted my mother and told her I was being served with papers for a debt I owed to a loan I took out in XXXX 2016. I called the number who called to get more information regarding the issue and spoken with a guy name XXXX. He wanted me to pay a balance of {$1500.00} and I advised him that is too much. I can not pay that and informed to set up arrangement to make payments plus I was unemployed. I made a first payment of XXXX on the account and I tried to get an extension out and he became very rude stating I would face judgement and be sent to court. I just wanted to extend my balance out but instead he became very disrespectful and rude then disconnected the call on me when I needed assistance with extending. He is very unprofessional and threaten to take me to court. I will love to have someone different over my claim because I am trying to pay back this loan but I do not want anyone disrespecting me when I am trying to work with them in this matter.

I received a call from someone trying to serve me paperwork on a debt, they left the contact information. I called the number I was provided XXXX and spoke with XXXX XXXX. He verified my SS # and date of birth. He proceeded to tell me about some debt from 2011 that I owe {$1400.00} on. He never informed me that this was an attempt to collect a debt. He stated to me that they are persuing legal action and going to get a judgement against me. I asked him several questions about the process. XXXX did n't want to answer my questions and was rude in his response and tone. I tried to verify what address they had on file for me and the address was in a state I have never lived in. He said it didnt matter they would still get a judgement against me even if they dont have my correct address. I told him he didnt need to be rude to me as I was just asking him some questions

I was called by a number marked " Unknown '' '' by the caller ID. This is a pretty good indication this call was not made by a representative of the court. In the call, no creditor was mentioned, nor was the name of the credit company, tactics I believe were done specifically to provide deniability. I was told I would be served papers XXXX XXXX if I did n't call XXXX regarding account XXXX. I called the number, and it is a collection agency known for somewhat shady tactics called Lionstone Holdings, LLC. I did n't give my name or information, as I have no idea what this is even pertaining.

They have been calling me stating that they are going to be serving me with papers. I tried to contact them back and was basically told that I needed to pay {$1200.00} by debit or credit card over the phone. I asked for proof and was denied. They will not give you any information other than the company name, Lionstone Holdings Group and that it 's a " XXXX XXXX '' office. They say that it 's a legal office and it 's not. Their tactics are to scare and get people to pay something that they are not even contractually collecting on. They do not recite the FDCPA or follow any guidelines.

I received a call from this bottom-feeding debt collection group in which the caller stated he " had some legal papers to deliver to me '' and that I was to be " served '' these papers in person. He then directed me to call XXXX for more information. This company told me that it is preparing to file a lawsuit against me, in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I see from the numerous complaints in your database that this company makes it a habit of pretending they will file legal action in order to try to collect old, time-barred debt.

This company has been leaving me threatening messages, stating they will be coming to my home to give me papers. They have also contacted my daughter, who is emotionally unstable, questioning her for information about me and asking her to verify my social security number. They have also told her that I need to be home on XXXX XXXX because they will be bring me paperwork that I need to sign for. This scared her! I can not begin to tell you how upsetting this is to her. I have never received anything in the mail and have no idea what this company wants.

Lion Stone Holdings Group has been leaving threatening voicemail messages on my home phone for 1 month. Threatening to sue, come to my home, and to escalate the case. ( file number was given ) A woman, XXXX XXXX, contacted me at work and wanted my SSN and birth date. Said she would show up at my home. I have no loans outstanding.
