I sought out the services of Lenme to assist in a short term financial issue that I was having. Being in a tight spot I went with the first option that I could get. Lenme happened to be that option, however, it was not what I was expecting it to be. The company ended up charging me a 200 % interest rate over the course of 1 year. Fast forward to last week, and I realized that something just wasn't right about this. I then attempted to contact the company, which only provides support through email or live chat. I requested to negotiate the terms of the loan, and maybe to refinance at a much lower affordable interest rate. That was immediately thrown aside and I was told that it could not be done. I began to feel very frustrated and defeated at that point. At a later date, continuing to be frustrated I requested a copy of the original agreement. The company has refused every attempt I have made to provide me with this information. To my understanding a company is required to provide this information if it is requested by the party it concerns. I then requested the company to terminate my authorization for automatic withdraws from my bank account which they refused. I know for a fact that this is in violation of CFPB rules, and I have pictures to prove this.

I currently owe the company {$170.00}. This initially started because the lender said my payment was late and there was no record from the bank that a payment was attempted. I disputed this with the company and they took almost a week to respond to me. This caused me to also block a transactions from them by my bank because no one at the company could tell me when the payment was attempted from my account. I agreed to pay but things transpired and could not. Quite frankly, their lack of communication was egregious. I have been sent several messages in which the representative has stated they are a lawyer for the company and they will put a lien on my property. I asked to speak with the attorney and for them to send a letter and they have not. There is no number to call and they only contact you via email. I have asked them to stop sending me threatening emails as it violates the fair debt collection practices and they have not. I have paid {$50.00} towards this debt and intend to pay the rest. However, I will not continue to be harassed in the manner in which I am being harassed. One of their emails even states my credit score will drop by XXXX points.

Hello my name is XXXX XXXX and I'm having an issue with a peer to peer lending company lenmo, my application was denied from the company which is not a big issue. My problem is that they don't want to release the reason why they denied me the loan. They said because of verification and I was asking what verification they had a problem with. They said for my security they can tell me the reason why, I know by law they have to give me the reason why they denied me, I gave this company my social security number and info and they can give me a reason. I know with any loan company they will send you a letter saying the reason. This lenmo company did not send nothing. No letter or email. I had to reach out to them on this issue. Please help me to get the answers I need.

Lenmo unlawfully conducted an ACH payment out of my bank account without my permission. The ACH payment was conducted on XX/XX/2020 on my bank account, with the late payment added, which I was told initially I would be refunded. I have attempted to contact them several times via email. I have proof of email communication, on that communication, it does not state I authorized any payment with Lenmo. The email communication has been attached with this complaint.
