I received a voicemail message from " XXXX '' at " Legal Prevention Services '' looking for my boyfriends mother. My boyfriend received the same phone call about XXXX minutes later. I did not answer, so a voicemail message was left on my phone revealing the full name of my boyfriends mother and the fact that she owed a debt. Upon returning the phone call and immediately stating that I had received a message in reference to a debt owed by a person other than myself, she asked me for the number that she had reached me at and again stated the full name of my boyfriends mother and that her call was in reference to a debt. She continued to elaborate stating that when a debt reaches a certain stage, they use an internet search to locate any possible associates of the debtor and are authorized to contact them. Although this may be true ( I personally think its wrong ) she can not reveal to me that a debt is owed, and she did this XXXX to me and XXXX when she spoke to my boyfriend. From a quick XXXX search it would appear that this " agency '' violates the FDCPA with each and every phone call it makes.

This firm calls my office phone almost daily and leaves messages stating that they are with " legal prevention services '' and that I or my attorney must return their call by end of business day to prevent further action. They have also contact my mother at her home and mobile phone. I did call them back and asked them to not contact my mother again which to my knowledge they have not. I also asked them to reference what debt this is related to. They provided information over the phone but have yet to send anything in the mail as I requested. This sounds like an old debt that is beyond 5 years and I 'm not sure of the status.
