XXXX XXXX XXXX repeatedly contacted me to collect a fee I did not believe I owed. Despite communicating with them regarding my dispute they continued to add fees to the original amount claimed. They made repeated phone calls including calling me and leaving a message from an unlisted number. They have proceeded to turn my account over to The Law Offices of Charles G. McCarthy, Jr. and Associates for collection despite my good faith efforts to confirm and resolve fees owed in a timely manner to the original creditor. They failed to correspond with me for over three months following final payment to original creditor to indicate that they still claimed I owed fees and instead turned my account over to the aforementioned law office. This resulted in additional fees from the law office. The fees charged by XXXX XXXX XXXX and Charles G. McCarthy and Associates are inconsistent, unclear, and not supported by the terms of the financial agreement I signed with the original creditor leading to confusion regarding debt owed. This financial agreement specifically states that I owe expense incurred by " my provider '' in collecting balance owed. According to provider, this obligation was met when the {$30.00} collection fee was paid. Finally, law office left message on XX/XX/XXXX requesting I call. The call was returned by me on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX at law office claimed that a letter had been sent to me onXX/XX/XXXX confirming the debt I owed. I informed him that I never received any such letter from the law office, despite residing at the same address XXXX XXXX XXXX and The Law Offices of Charles G. McCarthy, Jr. and Associates have utilized previously.

In the process of buying a house this came up on my credit report. I had no clue what the debit was for so I called the collection company, The Law Office of Charles G. When I called the receptionist was very rude including cursing at me when I refused to give him additional personal information. I asked for a statement for the debt I owed I was told unless I provided more personal information I " could XXXX XXXX '' The receptionist did eventually tell me that the original debt was from XXXX XXXX for a furniture lease/purchase. I have never bought furniture and applied for a loan/leased it. I have also never heard of this company. The collection company had my name and SSN but was unable to verify my correct DOB, phone number, employer at the time and correct address at that time. According to XXXX credit reporting the account was opened with The Law Office of Charles G onXX/XX/XXXX and the owed amount is {$1600.00}. The original opened date of the account was XX/XX/XXXX. The address in which they provided I did live at but not until more than 6 months after the account was supposedly opened. I researched both companies and both companies have multiple accounts of legal action regarding fraud in which the companies have lost the suit. XXXX XXXX have over 900 complaints of this same issue for failure to verify identity. I have never received any calls, letters, or attempts to collect a debt from either company.

I started going to XXXX XXXX offic e X/XX/2015 because I ha d hurt my XXXX , he said he could help my pain, started going every week, after ab out 2 to 3 mos into the visits my XXXX started to fell some relief bu t my XXXX started to go XXXX I told him about my XXXX , he did n't say anything. But as I was going I was paying my bill monthly, {$270.00} as I continued to go my XXXX were getting worse, So I knew I needed to stop going to XXXX XXXX , I could no longer afford the service. and I was also worried about the fact my XXXX getting worse after every visit. On my last office visit I asked if I owned any payment, I was told NO, Everything was paid up until after my next visit. I canceled my next appointment and did n't go back, after a few weeks I received a letter for XXXX XXXX XXXX for collection of {$680.00}. So I called XXXX XXXX office to ask why I got the letter, XXXX XXXX receptionist told me they could not talk to me because the bill was in collection, I received some letters from XXXX XXXX , then I stared getting phone calls from Law offic e of Charles McCarthy, I expl ained all this to them, but they keep calling after i have asked them to stop calling me. I do n't understand how they can charge me when i was told my bill was paid up passed my next visit.

over the past 1 year a debt collector called about a XXXX dollar fee for a medical dev ice on my husbands XXXX. I told the company to pick it up before because it did not work properly anyway. At the time the man who called cussed me out, yelled at me, threaten me. He said awful things. My husband suffered a XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX.I was taking care of him full time .With no help. I have no family. He is also a veteran and now he is XXXX. Mind you this bill was from XXXX. In XXXX when this man did this he probably called 50 times. Than after about4 months another man started calling from XXXX XXXX. He was trying to collect and said it was handed to him and he was with a law office. I told him to quit calling me. Well he did not stop. He plays the nice guy. I told him I was not paying and to sue us. I also told him my husband is almost XXXX and has a brain disorder leave us alone. He wanted the machine back but medicare paid for that i found out. Please do something for us. I have a husband ill and am XXXX.

I continue to receive harassing phone calls from the " Law Office of Charles McCarthy Jr. & Associates. '' I have received phone messages approximately weekly for at least the past two months. The caller identifies himself as an employee of " the Law Office of Charles McCarthy Jr. & Associates '' and requests that I call him back. I have been told to never return these calls because I owe no debt and if you return his call you have then verified your number and existence. I am XXXX years old and again, and I owe no debt. I have a very old debt from the law office of Charles G McCarthy Jr and Associates Collections. There is a line on my credit report / collection for {$600.00}. I believe this was for XXXX XXXX for a lease. Just in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX granted me a new lease for over {$2000.00} line of credit. I believe if they were worried about it or I owed a debt to them, the original creditor would not have allowed me to open another line of credit if I owed the in the past. Get this XXXX off my credit report as a collection and completely remove the line off of here. I'm going to start suing these individuals for very old debt on my credit report and still trying to collect on it. I believe this was included in bankruptcy originally as I filed in XXXX of XXXX and should have been included. when it was discharged last year, this law firm put this line of collection back on my credit report AFTER the discharge. This debt is no longer valid. Get this XXXX off here NOW.

The office of Charles G McCarthy collections agency representative XXXX XXXX has called on numerous occasions advising I owe a debt to XXXX XXXX. I sent a letter of cancellation 30 days notice by mail as advised by contract to the gym but he said if it was not signed for it is not legal. He has threaten me on several occasions with saying it was an attorney. He called my daughters phone and when she called the number back and said she was not me he call her a lair and she advised that she would called the police. I am going to send a certified letter to the company and advised them to stop contacting me. I have the voice mail and taped conversations where he tried to intimidate me on the phone. This I feel is unfair practices on the debt collections agency.

Repeated collection calls, I have told them several times that they are not calling the right number, and they still keep calling me. The debt belongs to a relative, and the representative told me I needed to talk it up with that relative if I wanted them to remove my number from all collection activity.

I owed a company XXXX dollars which the balance is now down to XXXX. I missed some payments and did not answer calls. When I did answer I explained I can only pay a certain amount a month. I was threatened by legal action called pathetic by the operator.
