I recently came in contact with Landis ( XXXX XXXX NY ) regarding home ownership opportunities. It would appear that the company steers prospective homebuyers to certain realtors and mortgage lenders that on its surface violates RESPA / TILA / Reg Z. They also seem to pay referring realtors a fee that would also violate lending laws. The company seems to be violating consumer privacy and fair treatment rules as part of their core business. Please investigate to ensure they are legitimate and not predatory. There practices around appraisal and appraisal reconsiderations should also be analyzed.
