Renting from XXXX XXXX XXXX is my deepest regret on earth and I pray that no customer goes through what I am going through.
My story : I rented a trumpet from XXXX XXXX XXXX because my son played in the band at school. 3 days after I rented the instrument, my son took it to school and I got a little note from the music teacher that the instrument is defective and doesnt work, there is a part missing, I took it to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where I rented this equipment ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) the manager looked at it and apologized. He stated that he was unable to exchange it because they didnt have anymore, however, he can easily order the part and it will arrive at the store within 5 days and that he will give me a call back as soon as it arrives. I agreed and left with the instrument. A week went by and two weeks came, there was still no call, I called back on the third week, manager stated that he tracked the part and it will arrive in two days. Another week went by and there was no call. At this time, its been a month since I rented the instrument and my son havent been able to use it and my card was being charged. I drove up to the store again to return it and the manager refused to take the instrument, ( please check the cameras in the store to confirm my story ) he stated the part he ordered is still in transit so I should hold on to the trumpet. Weeks went by, I drove to the store again and I was told the manager wasnt available and the guy said he was new and that I should come back in XXXX days, the manager will be at work by XXXX. I requested for the manager to call me. No call.
XXXX hit and things got busy at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX kids were home and XXXX was on lockdown, I got a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX that I owe about {$500.00} for the instrument, I explained everything to customers service, called the store and there was a new manager, she asked me to bring the instrument in, I took it to her around XX/XX/2021, she looked at it and confirmed it was broken and she stated that the broken part cant be ordered because the trumpet is defective. She apologized, took the instrument, gave me a receipt, emailed customer service to explain the situation and told me that my account should be closed and my balance will be XXXX now. She apologized again. This was XX/XX/2021.
One month later, I got a very rude call from a collection agency called kinum. They stated that I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX {$590.00}. I told them that the account is closed and he responded that I still have to pay that amount. Next day, I called the store manager and she stated that she is sending a new email to customer service again about my situation.
Kinum collection didnt stop destroying my credit. Now the store XXXX said there isnt much she can do as she has sent everything to customer service. I called customer service and they said they have sent a lot of emails to kinum collection to close the account so there is nothing they can do. I call kinum and they also say that they havent received anything from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Its been a year and I have been calling almost everyday to get this off my credit. This agency has a very high impact on my credit and I cant get approved for anything. I have been calling back and forth between the XXXX store, customer service and kinum for a year now. This has a big impact on my XXXX XXXX, my XXXX XXXX is off the roof from dealing with this kind of XXXX. My XXXX is at its highest and I have all my XXXX XXXX to prove it. This is a violation of my right and no one deserves this. I must say that your customer service is very rude, they yell at me and even laugh at me. Maybe its because I am an XXXX and have an accent. I asked for the cooperate number and customer service lady called XXXX stated you do not have a cooperate office, I asked for a supervisor and the said no. Collection agency said they have sent several emails to your company to certify the information but not a single reply so they will keep reporting it on my credit till the balance on the account is closed.
I am getting XXXX. I am tired, I am being humiliated and mocked by your company. My son never used the instrument because it was defective, I have returned it and the credit agency kinum guys are still destroying my credit This is unfair, this is inhumane, this is bullying and your customers dont deserve that.

In early XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) has initiated collections against me for {$710.00}. The {$710.00} is made up of two separate charges : {$250.00} for XX/XX/XXXX dues, and {$420.00} in credit card rewards.
I discontinued my family 's membership with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, the same day that the team 's coach was fired by the XXXX. I held the position of XXXX of the XXXX XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. Upon resigning as XXXX, I turned over all club records, assets, passwords, everything to President XXXX XXXX. When our membership ceased on XX/XX/XXXX, the club terminated my access to XXXX, the on-line account for billing, etc. on XX/XX/XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX posted a charge of {$250.00} to my account on XXXX XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX dues. Since my account was closed on XX/XX/XXXX, I had no knowledge of this charge until I received their collection letter. XXXX 's claim is that since our notice came after the XXXX of the month, dues would be charged according to contract. My dispute is that we resigned because the XXXX fired the coach and drastically altered the program, leaving my family no choice but to find another team. At the same time as the coach was fired, the XXXX cut back practice times, competition opportunities, and most importantly quality of instruction ( they hired college students as fill-ins for the head coach ). In general, the program they outlined was a skeleton of what the head coach had created.
I further dispute this charge because of past practice/precedent. For XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX, dues billing was my responsibility as XXXX. No member was charged another month 's dues even if they left after the XXXX ... I was the determinant of that charge. It was not applied in the past.
The second charge, {$420.00}, is the value of the rewards points that I accrued on my personal credit card while XXXX of XXXX. The XXXX moved that XXXX is entitled to the rewards earned through purchases for the club. In XX/XX/XXXX, members of the XXXX voted on how to spend these rewards. As I stated in XX/XX/XXXX before the XXXX vited, I maintain that the rewards are my personal property, earned on my personal credit card, and no entity has the power to determine how the rewards are used.
Further, I take issue with the practices of XXXX XXXX, an employee of Kinum Inc, the collections agency hired by XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, he mailed me a copy of XXXX 's responses to my dispute letter. The copy he provided me was impossible to read, which he so admitted in my call to him on XX/XX/XXXX. I requested a more legible copy, as I have a visual impairment that requires me to use magnification technology to read documents. He refused to provide a clearer copy, and stated that I should get someone to read it to me.
Also, each correspondence that I receive from Kinum shows a different amount due. The original amount claimed by XXXX is {$710.00}, XX/XX/XXXX shows {$710.00}, XX/XX/XXXX shows {$710.00}, XX/XX/XXXX shows {$720.00}. I have no intent to pay any amount, but I do question the inconsistency.

On XX/XX/2021, I received a voicemail from somebody asking for my sons mom and no other information. The call was from a local area code. When I called back an agent answered and I had asked who was calling me asking for [ my son ]. She then asked if I was his mother at which time I asked for a last name and her response was well you tell me. I then asked what company she was calling from at which point she finally told me the name of the collection agency and advise she was trying to collect a debt and that the call may be recorded. She then proceeded to ask me if I was familiar with the creditor identified at which time I had told her I was aware but that I was in discussion with them. She became aggressive and told me about the debt at which time I was trying to politely interrupt to let her know I was disputing the debt, but she berated me and told me I was being very rude and that would not be tolerated. As I attempted to tell her again about the dispute she again reminded me that she was talking and I was being rude and that I needed to listen to her. I let her say what she had to say and then I asked if it was OK if I spoke, at which time she said yes. I told her again that I was disputing the debt because I was in discussion with the creditor and was not aware it went to collection until I got the notice from her company in the mail. She asked why I was disputing and I told her one of the reasons is the amount is not correct ( although thats not the main reason ). She proceeded to ask what the amount is in discussion and then made me a settlement offer. I began to tell her I was not paying anything at which point she interrupted me and I then advised her she was being rude. I continued to tell her because I was disputing the debt at which time she told me if I did not pay the settlement that it would not be offered again and that she would send the debt to the credit bureaus that would negatively affect my credit. I told her legally they can not report to the credit bureau while a debt is in dispute and she repeated herself saying it would be sent to the credit bureau. I reminded her again I was disputing it and she said she would notate it. I then ended the call. This agent/agency committed several violations of the fair debt collection practices act and in my dispute letter to the agency I have outlined this for them. I will also be sending a complaint to the Arizona Attorney General as the original creditor location I worked with to start the contract is based in Arizona and they did not notify me of the collection status

I answered my phone at around XXXX on XXXX XXXX to an unknown number. The man asked if he was speaking to me ; I said yes. He asked if I lived at X address ; I said no, that was an old address and asked what this was regarding. He mentioned a debt I owed to a health club membership and said that it had been turned over to his collection agency. I asked for my address to be updated and for information regarding the debt be sent to me and told him that I fully plan on paying off this debt. He updated my address and provided me with a reference number and phone number to reach him at.
He then proceeded to ask me about my employment status and the amount of my rent. I said that I am unemployed ( I have a small child that is totally dependent on me for care ) and that my fiance covers living expenses. He asked how long I had been unemployed and then asked if I was prepared to make a payment. I said two years, I had to quit the day my daughter was born as we do not have any one else to help us with her care, and said that I would like to start making payments in XXXX. I had my debit card out, ready to give him my card number for automatic withdrawals to start in XXXX at this point.
Instead of closing the deal, the debt collector got really nasty. He started talking about how I have n't worked in 2 years, how I 'm living off of my fiance 's income. ( I actually work very hard as a homemaker and a mother to my child with absolutely zero help or babysitters or family to help, but did not have a chance to explain this. ) At this point, I realized that my particular debt collector was a misogynist, but I tried once again to tell him that I would like to start making payments in XXXX -- again, card in hand. He told me nastily that he could n't wait until XXXX. I said I have no extra funds currently, so he was going to have to. Here is where his misogynistic tactics actually scared me : " We most certainly do not. '' If I had already made it clear that I do n't have the money to make payments this quarter, how does he think he 's going to get the money from me? Does he want a pound of flesh? That 's literally all I have to give right now. I do n't understand how it would benefit him to threaten me like that. Again, I blame his blatant prejudice against women. I was so scared at this point I hung up on him. I need to pay this debt, but at this point I am terrified to call the contact number he gave me.

I had signed up for a monthly service from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The agreement is for them to spray inside and outside of the home, check termite bate stations and mice bate stations. I advised them that they needed to schedule all the appointments with me so I could make sure someone was available to let them into the property. This was going fine until XX/XX/2023. They took it upon themselves to charge me to a service that I never received. They said that they came and sprayed outside. However, the appointment was never scheduled, therefore no one was home, and there is no proof of any services rendered besides a bill they sent. Just to be clear them spraying outside is typically for the summer months for bugs. There is no bugs outside in the XXXX so I am not sure why they would do that. They didn't schedule the appointment therefore the inside was not sprayed, nor was the mice bate stations serviced, and I am not even confident that they actually sprayed outside the house. Once I got the bill I was upset because didn't schedule the appointment and I do not believe my home was serviced and worse case scenario properly serviced. I have never missed a payment with them or any other company for that matter but I refuse to pay for services that was not rendered which I told them that and canceled their service.
In XXXX I received a notice from a collection agency. Kinum asking me to respond to the notice which I did and sent through certified mail on XX/XX/23 tracking number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They stated if I responded they would investigate the debt prior to trying to collect, but they did not stop. Then on XX/XX/23 i received another letter from them requesting I pay the money. They didn't respond to the certified mail at all. I called the number on the notice XXXX and entered the account number and it only refers me back to XXXX XXXX. I can not speak to anyone and I am not being heard. The bill is {$65.00} and I have nothing on my credit report because I pay all my bills on time. I do not want then trying to put false debt on my credit report. I would never skip on a bill if it is truly owed. I would never risk ruining my good credit score for {$65.00}.

XX/XX/2019 : Contacted Kinum ( collection agency ) about phone calls alleging a debt owed, and that they were going to take legal action. The Kinum representative hung up on us. Called Kinum back, and it took multiple verbal requests to receive actual Kinum Account Number, the representative kept giving me the Account number associated with the original debtor but not the account number associated with their collection agency. Finally received Kinum account number. When I asked the representative to not interrupt me, they hung up on me.
- We have never received any mail notification of this debt from this debt collection company and had told them so every time they contacted us via phone. We had requested multiple times that the debt information be sent to us via Certified Mail and all Kinum Representatives we talked to stated they would not do that.
XX/XX/2019 : Sent a Verification of Debt letter to Kinum via Certified Mail with a Receipt. The letter specifically requested the Verification of Debt be sent via certified mail since Kinum is claiming to have sent multiple bills to us but we have not yet received any. Tracking number from USPS indicates Verification of Debt letter was delivered on Tuesday, XX/XX/2019.
XX/XX/2019 : Received a mail notification of debt, but only details approximately half of the debt they are saying that has been owed. There is no information detailing the other half, except on the payment coupon to return to them that states we owe almost double of what they provided information for. The debt that does contain details does not include : verification of debt, itemized statement, name/ address of original creditor, & evidence that we are legally responsible for the debt. It only includes the " Date of Service. '' Attempted to contact Kinum again, but phone number on the bill received on this date does not offer options to talk to someone, only and option to leave a message, but no way to leave an actual message.

In XX/XX/2022, I was interviewing companies to provide pool cleaning services at my home in XXXX, AZ. The first pool company came to give me a quote. They checked my water metrics and pool equipment. They gave me a monthly quote for the pool cleaning service per month with 1 day per week coming to clean my pool.
I had received an advertisement from XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$99.00} per month. I called them to see if they could accommodate this price. They said they had to have someone come check the water and equipment. In XX/XX/2022 this shady guy came to give me a quote. He said the pool needed the water to be pumped out & drained, acid wash the pool walls, refill the pool with water, and put all the chemicals in the pool. By the way, the pool was crystal clear and pool walls clean when he communicated that all this work needed to be done prior to the monthly pool service being started and quoted me an outrageous price. They never disclosed that they would charge to give me a quote and I never agreed to any charge for giving me a quote.
I had another XXXX XXXX XXXX the next day come to give me a quote. They checked the pool water metrics and equipment and gave me a monthly pool service quote. Like the first pool cleaning company they didn't say I needed what the XXXX XXXX say I needed done to my pool and just gave me a quote for the monthly service anything the other In XX/XX/2022 XXXX XXXX XXXX came to give me a quote for monthly pool. I never agreed to start pool service with them, signed contract or service agreement, and they never cleaned my pool.
A month later I get an invoice for them coming to give me a quote which they never disclosed they would charge me for giving me a quote neither did I agree that I would pay them for giving me a quote to clean my pool.

I ASKED THE MAN TO PLEASE STOP CALLING RIGHT NOW BECAUSE HE WAS SICK AND TOLD HIM THAT WE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS AT A LATER TIME. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD NOT STOP, HE TOLD ME THAT WE NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF OUR CHILDREN. EVEN AFTER WE PAID THIS DEBT IN FULL, HE CONTINUED TO CALL HIM. Good Day, hope is well. At this time I am stressed out about this account that has been hunting me for too long. I have contact over 12 different representatives, supervisors and managers that has given me the run around.
The account name is Kinum was agreed to pay cash up front and then finance the remaining balance. The remaining payments were paid in cash, debt card or credit card monthly directly to the store. After receiving a notification on my credit report, I contact the company directly. No one seem to see a remaining balance or anything going to collections. Another notification was received but yet no one could find the account beside one manager. He informed me that I had 3 payments left that were not calculated so I did not want any trouble or this account to report negative status, I went ahead and made monthly payment. The Manager assured me that once the payments are paid in full, the account would be removed from my credit report. This account was never removed from my credit report at all. It was reported to another credit bureau as if I owe another balance which is inaccurate information.
With these action of reporting on my reports are inaccurate and very disrespectful to my character. The crazy part about this account is after speaking with multiple individuals, the account will be transfer from one credit bureau to the next as if the company is deleting the account from one and placing the account on another one. All I am asking is someone to get this right and remove this inaccurate information as soon as possible. My wife is XXXX.
Hopefully someone will review this information fast before my wife gets upset again.

Several years ago we were with XXXX car insurance. We NOTIFIED them that we were going to no longer use them for our car insurance. But someone on their end evidently did not put that notice in their system. So they tried billing us for a debt we did not owe! And we had given them over a month 's warning! Now they have put a debt collection agency on us for a debt we do not owe claiming we owe them {$230.00}! ( in fact they advertise about {$19.00} a month I think ). They are saying that this debt was owed as of XXXX. This is not true at all as we've been with another car insurance company for more than a year on a vehicle we rarely drive. In fact all this happened about the time of the pandemic. Now we are getting harassing letters from Kinum , IncXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, Vi. XXXX phone XXXX threatening us ( and yes we are XXXX XXXX living off of Social Security! ). I had written them before this and yet they sent us a second bill. Even a stamp is expensive and now I'm having to use two stamps for a bill that we do not owe! I had written them before XX/XX/2022. They say that if we do not dispute the debt by XX/XX/XXXX then they assume the debt is correct. I can not provide the date we notified root, but it was about a month or two well before the annual bill was due. I received a threatening letter today even though I had notified them IN WRITING that we did not owe this outrageous debt! I am mailing back a SECOND notice to Kinum that we do not owe the debt! Today at XXXX EST I received a call at XXXX ( which I am assuming was an auto dialer ), that I unfortunately missed. I returned the call to get answered by a woman who I could not understand because she spoke so fast. I asked her to stated where she was calling from she played games with me by saying " I didn't call you, you called me ''. She refused to identify where the call originated from. She then began to laugh and hung up on me. It was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional.
I called back. It was another female. Same thing, refused to identify where she was associated with and hung up on me. This happened a few times. Then a man answered the phone and claimed to be a supervisor. He was just an unprofessional as the others. Speaking over me, laughing and cutting me off. However, what he did was disclose information about my husband without verifying any of his or mine information. He started spewing off details such and his employer and personal information. To my knowledge this is a violation of privacy and FDCPA.
I called back again and spoke to a gentleman and yet again was not given information about the call. Instead our home address was provided to us as well as a former employer. My wife advised of the FDCPA and that I worked for a XXXX XXXX. The mans response was a laugh and then followed with Your husband is a XXXX ... He works for XXXX XXXX After this my wife called me to inform me of the calls when we made a 3 way call. I identified myself as requested as Mr XXXX ... we began to discuss our experience when we were told we were harassing the company and were hung up on.
Upon several times calling back we were picked up and then immediately hung up on.

In 2014 I secured the services of an attorney and provided a XXXX retainer, with no agreement, written or verbal which would authorize or permit the attorney, under any condition or extenuating circumstance, a blank check in which to exceed the retainer and bill for non-approved services. Upon discovery, on the day of XXXX XXXX, 2014, the arrangement for services were terminated with cause by the client. Shortly thereafter, the client received a bill from the attorney in the approximate amount of XXXX for non- approved charges which exceeded the retainer. The former client contacted the attorney, a discussion ensued and the client requested the refund of a portion of the retainer based on the reasons for the termination and further advised the attorney the non approved charges would not be paid. The attorney fully aware of the condition of the arrangement of services forwarded the account to a collection agency demanding payment for unearned, non-approved, billed services. To date, the former client is continually forced to tolerate the violating behavior of the collection agency in carelessly accessing his personal identifying information via skip tracing methods, harassing calls and voice mails, in their persistent attempt to collect full payment of an invalid, 2yr old account. An itemized bill provided by an attorney for unearned, unapproved services is not a contract and is therefore not enforceable. No legal agreements were signed by the client. The supporting documentation in possession by the client consists of privileged email communications between the former client and attorney.

I signed with XXXX XXXX in 2011. At the initial presentation, they make it so that you feel extremely pressured to stay there and eventually sign a contract with them. They dont let you leave to think about the purchase. They tell you once you leave, the offer is not valid. They make you feel like you have to make a decision right then and there without any kind of time to think. I truthfully thought I understood all of the terms because I was going based off of what the representative was stating. Originally, they told me they were taking my old timeshare as part of the new contract, however, that did not happen. The maintenance fees have also continuously increase and that was never presented to me, which would have been necessary in order for me to make a wise financial decision. I feel completely lied to and I know this was absolutely misrepresented to me. I have reached out for over a year in regard to all of these circumstances and have been blatantly ignored. Now instead of assisting me with my already previous concerns, they gave my account an additional two companies- Kinum and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Both of which have ruined my credit rating. XXXX XXXX XXXX is NOT an attorneys office, it is an office who is trying to receive money from me. I have never signed a contract with XXXX XXXX, nor Kinum for that matter. I have requested the original contract to be sent showing that I never gave authorization to XXXX nor Kinum to obtain my information. I had sent a cease and desist letter to both companies and still was contacted afterwards.

On XX/XX/2022 I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( parent company XXXX XXXX XXXX. ) to seek diagnosis and treatment for XXXX XXXX symptoms. I filled out two intake forms, one electronic and one paper where I highlighted that Im experiencing XXXX symptoms.
I am then told by the receptionist to step outside and schedule a XXXX call with the doctor for health precautions. During this 30 second call, the doctor informs me that the center does not test or treat for XXXX so they wont be able to help me. I left the center with the expectation that since no service was provided, I will not be billed. Surely, the receptionist should have simply informed me that the center does not treat XXXX upon reading my intake form hence not required that I take the XXXX call. To my surprise, I received a letter in the mail a few weeks later from them stating I owe them {$110.00} for the 30 second XXXX call.
I called them to inform them that this was an erroneous bill since no service was rendered however the hospital dismissed my claim and insisted I pay through their repeated billing mails.
After months of repeated billing mail, they decided to escalate collection of this predatory bill to debt collection agency, Kinum. To my suprise, Kinum is now adding interest on the bill amount to further intimidate me into paying this predatory bill. I am writing to the CFPB requesting cancellation of this bill because of predatory billing practices from XXXX XXXX XXXX. as well as predatory debt collection practices from Kinum.

Debt was for repairs done to a home after a water leak. The company who did the work ( XXXX ) and XXXX were disputing the final amount for the repair. The final amount of the invoice was decided on XXXX. An invoice was sent several weeks later and the balance was sent on XXXX, email communication with XXXX XXXX, president and owner of XXXX confirmed the balance was paid on their end as of XXXX.
Kinum, a debt collection agency, then contact me via letter dated XXXX and received XXXX. I called Kinum and spoke to a woman who did not give her name who said they were first contacted by XXXX XXXX and asked to collect a debt in the amount of {$2100.00}, I explained that the amount of the repairs was not decided on until XXXX and it was impossible for them to have been given that number in XXXX. I then asked if they had done a debt verification and if so on what date it was done, she then refused to answer and directed me to contact XXXX, which I had already done.
I believe a reasonable person would interpret the statements made by the Kinum representative as false and inaccurate and in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I would like to stress that I believe XXXX did not intend for the paid debt to go to collections and they will correct that issue, however this complain is pointed solely at Kinum who has not complied with federal regulation regarding their attempt to collect a debt that does not exist.

In XX/XX/2019 I received a phone from someone at the Kinum Inc. regarding a medical bill. At this time I told the representative that I shouldn't have a bill because I pay my copay every time I went to the dr office. I have all of my receipts for this. The representative started yelling at me saying I better pay my debt. At this point I hung up the phone. About a week or so later I received the official letter from Kinum stating about the bill they had called me about. I immediately wrote them a letter on XX/XX/2019 saying I'm disputing this bill for XXXX XXXX XXXX. Please send the validity of this account to me so that I can cross reference with payments already made. I then sent this letter certified mail with a return signature received card to Kinum on XX/XX/2019. Kinum never sent me my request to see the bills. I received the return signature card back stating that they had received the letter On XX/XX/19 I received a phone from Kinum talking about this debt. I told the representative that I sent them a certified letter and they never responded. The representative couldn't find the letter so since he didn't see it I never sent one. I told him by law they needed to respond to my letter and they never did. Instead they put this debt on all 3 of my credit reports because they did not want to do there job. The representative started yelling at me and I hung up on him.

He threatened to steal my identity and ruin my credit. Told him he had the wrong person.

He called my work multiple times, after I told him not to, and interrupted my work. He kept leaving voice mails at my work also, I saved the last voicemail on XXXX XXXX, 2017. Even after I told him not to. I have other voice mails also from him after I told him to stop calling with time stamps, and numbers of origin.
I also told him to stop calling me on my personal number, and also to stop calling my work. I have records on my personal phone of multiple calls from him and his multiple fake VOIP ( Voice over internet protocol ) phone calls. And also record of voicemail at my work.

I was sent a bill from Kinum Inc., a collection agency for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for my minor son XXXX XXXX. They sent me a bill for {$300.00}. Their itemization on the bill was a charge for {$29.00} and another charge for {$74.00}, for a total of {$100.00}. Not {$300.00}!! I wrote them a letter on XX/XX/2020 asking for an itemization of this bill to show where the {$300.00} came from. Also to clarify that this was not billed correctly by the original debtor and that I was disputing this bill. I'm a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and am on XXXX. I do have XXXX as primary insurance though. Consequently, my son has XXXX as his primary and has XXXX as his secondary. XXXX ALWAYS picks up the remainder of the bill. This is not a valid bill. Kinum has continued to harass me and call me. Yesterday, XXXX, I got a call from Kinum at XXXX The gentleman I spoke with was not a gentleman at all. Very forceful and refused to listen to the fact I sent them a letter of dispute and asking for them to validate the debt asked for. After 2 months of attending the school, I dropped out due to personal reasons and requested for XXXX XXXXXX/XX/XXXX to send the funds back to XXXX XXXX. I wasn't aware nor notified about any monies owed until reviewing my credit report in XXXX. Recently, Kinum XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX appeared on my credit report. I reached out to Kinum directly requesting to remove this debt off my credit report based on not having an agreement and requested proof. Kinum sent me a contract with my personal bank and contact information without my knowledge and forged signature. I never gave this information to Kinum.

On or about XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX I rented a musical instrument for my daughter at local music store called XXXX XXXX XXXX. I returned the instrument in XX/XX/XXXX. I have the return receipt. At the end of XX/XX/XXXX I discovered that a collection agency had placed a collection account on my credit for about {$1700.00}, the original creditor is listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX
I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and they acknowledged my receipt for returning the instrument but state there is nothing they can do to help me and that I needed to contact the collection agency. They provided the name of the agency as XXXX and provided a toll free number. I had to search the internet to locate the company.
My complaint is that XXXX XXXX XXXX has the instrument and did not credit my account for the return of the instrument and provided incorrect information to a collection agency. XXXX XXXX XXXX has the instrument and yet they have apparently reported to the collection agency that I owe for the cost of the instrument. Secondly I was never contacted by the collection agency and did not have the opportunity to dispute this debt. Errant information has been placed on my credit profile causing my credit score to drop precipitously causing me harm.

On XX/XX/XXXX I returned a trombone that I leased from XXXX XXXX, in which I received a written receipt stating " bad debt-returned ''. I then called and spoke with a representative from XXXX XXXX ( the collection agency ) to clear the debt from my credit that was opened XX/XX/XXXX. I had a checking account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which I accidentally overdrafted in XX/XX/XXXX ( used checks from the wrong account ). The account went into collections with Kinum , Inc. out of XXXX XXXX, Virginia. Kinum reported the amount ( {$2600.00} ) consistently on my credit report through XX/XX/XXXX. On, XX/XX/XXXX, the full amount was withdrawn from my personal account paid to Kinum directly via ACH ( Auth # XXXX ) with promise from them that they would notify the credit bureaus and also XXXX XXXX that the debt had been paid. Since that time, they have stopped reporting to the credit bureaus ( nothing since XX/XX/XXXX ) altogether and my credit report still shows an open account with unpaid balance, but have also never reported the payment to XXXX XXXX via letter or email as they stated would happen. Additionally, XXXX XXXX still has not received the funds. I've called Kinum multiple times and their excuse changes each time. I've notified XXXX XXXX, but they can't do anything about it as it is in the hands of Kinum. At this point, it is clear Kinum has perpetrated a fraud and is holding the funds without consequence.

Front desk at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stated insurance would cover 100 %. I told them my insurance would not cover any of it. They insisted it would cover 100 %. I asked them how much is it worst case if they cover 0 % and they stated {$75.00}. After several visits, I began receiving bills for more than {$75.00} per visit.
Total amount owed by me should be amount of visits times {$75.00}. I called the front desk staff to correct and they said there's nothing they can do since it already went through insurance, covering 0 %, and I need to call their billing department. I then called the billing department around XXXX different times, eventually asking for a supervisor. Every time they said I would receive a call back once a supervisor is free but I never once received a call back.
I then started receiving collections notices. I replied within the XXXX days checking the box " The amount is wrong '' and sent via certified mail. I kept getting calls from Kinum but did not receive any bills when I received my bill I did call them. XXXX is who identified himself and when I told him I do not have any source of income and that once I do I will pay the bill in full became aggressive, angry and began threatening legal ramifications and would not let me speak he kept saying the same thing over and over and then asked if I had a number of an attorney that I would want him to contact and that they would pursue me. He also started questioning how I paid the phone I was on and asked about other bills I had which I did not know they had that kind of information access. I have worked with and am working with other collection agencies such as XXXX recovery and XXXX and have never had such an awful experience. They were willing to work with me and to wait until I was able to make payments.
People like this make me want to just file bankruptcy and not try and pay off my debt because if this is what you have to go through it 's extremely upsetting and had me on the verge of tears it was so abusive.

I was called today by a company called Kinum. I spoke to a woman who threatened that if I did not pay this medical debt which was not even {$200.00}, that they would ruin my credit score. I paid literally sobbing because that's the kind of fear that they want to inspire in their consumers. They told me that I should be grateful as they knew I was young and " didn't want to do that to me ''. Even though I literally just found out that it was not possible. I called them back and asked to speak with the woman, but was instead directed to a manager, who seemed very outraged when I informed him, that I don't really believe that me reporting this instance on their site would do anything. After all, given the number of bad reviews, and of the obvious bots with good reviews, 2+2=4, let 's be honest. Not to mention, them threatening some of the people who left bad reviews with legal action. But doesn't change the fact that they are currently misrepresenting the law. I just wanted to filed a complaint, so that they could stop trying to threaten people.

I googled the number and it comes up with many complaints and the name " Fidelis '' which is also a large XXXX in XXXX New York - This issue is for a dental bill for which he told me was {$360.00}. He is bullying, rude, condescending, and threatened me with a lawsuit even after I explained the history. Kinum collection agency ( specifically XXXX and XXXX ) somehow either bought or received illegally a list of debtors from our XXXX. They began an aggressive unauthorized collection campaign against the persons on the list, many of whom do not owe us any money.
We called as soon as we realized what was happening and asked them to cease and desist all contact with all persons on their list. They continued to illegally contact, harass, and attempt to collect monies for over a week beyond our cease and desist. This included calling these people repeatedly through an autodialing network and through the U.S. mail. Received a phone call from XXXX XXXX at Kinum Incorporated today. After advising that I never received any letter from them & the piece of equipment ( saxophone ) they want me to pay {$1000.00} for was a rental that was returned last year.

After paying the bill in full via their website and validating that it cleared my account the following day I received a phone call from them two weeks later on my cell phone stating they had no record of this activity. They called me and I asked how to dispute this because my insurance was billed incorrectly and I was told that I signed something with them to pay it and I HAVE TO PAY IT and ask to be refunded.
