XX/XX/XXXX, I attended an event and was introduced to XXXX XXXX of Key Mortgages as a prospective lender to work with. We had a brief discussion where I asked him from the onset if he executes a soft or hard credit pull because I did not want my credit to be pulled without the appropriate planning. He indicated that he does a soft pull for pre-qualification and it would not affect my credit score. Later on XX/XX/XXXX, I sent XXXX XXXX an email ( attached ) refreshing our conversation. Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX replied back ( see attached ). On Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, at approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I spoke via phone to discuss my needs. He took my information which included my address, SSN, DOB, etc. I assumed that he was acquiring the information to have when he would run my credit. XXXX XXXX never asked for consent or indicated that he was pulling my credit right at that moment and I never provided written consent authorizing XXXX XXXX to run my credit. Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received notification that my credit score had changed because of a credit inquiry. When I investigated further I found out that XXXX XXXX was who pulled the credit. I immediately reached out to XXXX XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX to inquire whether he pulled my credit. He indicated that he did and I expressed that I had no idea that he was doing so. Additionally, I expressed that when we spoke on XX/XX/XXXX where I inquired about whether he conducted a hard or soft pull that he said that it would be a soft pull and would not affect my credit score. XXXX XXXX said that he completely explained to me that he would run my credit. I expressed that I was clear that my credit would be accessed but I should be the one to decide when that would take place and that it should be perfectly clear and he should be given consent from me to access my credit. XXXX XXXX then expressed that he was upset that I was contacting him early Saturday morning. I asked XXXX XXXX to look at things from my perspective as a customer and that if I knew that he was going to be pulling my credit I would not be reaching out to him to inquire and I only knew because my credit monitoring service alerted me. XX/XX/XXXX, I sent XXXX XXXX an email ( see attached ) requesting that he rescind his actions as an error. XXXX XXXX advised that it was not possible and that he felt that he completely explained that he was pulling my credit.

I started to apply for a refinance with Key Mortgage Services, inc. they ran my credit report, and afterwards they said, I could qualify for this loan. The reason I wanted to take out the refinance, is to make my 30 year mortgage to a 20 year. The loan officer told me that they want to check on the {$7500.00} dollars that was given to me from the government, when I closed on my condominium, the 1st time 2 years ago that I bought it. The loan officer XXXX XXXX, asked me to find my Hud 1, I could n't find it at the time, however I found my good faith estimate. I told her that it was on the estimate. So then she still could not find out. I had before all of this came about, given her {$450.00} for the credit report and appraisal fee. I found out that the payment from her would over extend me. I told her to cancel the appraisal. She then told me that I can not get the money back, because I signed a credit card statement, which said non refundable. I never noticed that because I have been working a lot of hours, and was doing this from work. All this company called Key Mortgage Services XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, il. XXXX. Did nothing for me but just kept my money and I was told even thou the appraisal was not done, they would not give this money back to me. I should not be charged for a service that was not rendered. No appraisal was done. She said she emailed her supervisor, and they said I could not get this money back. I have filed a claim with my credit card company XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am a single mom, and know this is wrong to collect on a service appraisal that never happened. After all of this, I yelped them, and noticed many situations that the same thing happened to other people. Please help me get my money back. This is horrible customer service, she as a loan officer should have disclosed important things. I told her that this is so unprofessional, and stealing from people. I really appreciate your investigation in this matter. Feel free to XXXX them. The only reason, I did not XXXX them in the beginning, is because a friend of mine recommended me to the company. My friend also lost her money, however after the appraisal, they told her that she also got the government assistance of {$7500.00}. Please keep me informed, they are money hungry out for themselves. My husband and I applied for a home loan with a company called Key Mortgage. On XX/XX/2023, XXXX of the employees of XXXX Mortgage named XXXX XXXX sent a denial letter for the loan with attachment of both my husband and my credit report. She sent this, without my husband or my consent to the real estate attorney, who in turn canceled the purchase contract of the home we were suppose to buy without our consent. We had other options to purchase the home but as a result of her negligent actions as well as the attorney, we lost the home.

I believe there is an illegal compensation kickback scheme at Key Mortgage Services XXXX Inc. NMLS # XXXX between employees XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. Further, former employees XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX were terminated to cover up the system. Several current employees informed me of the scheme but are too scared to make a complaint because XXXX and XXXX were fired for bringing up the info.
