I received a garnishment notice last week XX/XX/XXXX for a medical bill for my son from XXXX. They said the bill was incurred in XXXX or XXXX. They filed a notice of garnishment with a company in Illinois that is not associated with my employer. I am not sure of the validity of this debt. I immediately upon notification contacted the attorneys office who filed the garnishment and no information could be given to me. Is there a time limit for medical bills in the state of Indiana? I have now lived in XXXX for over 13 years and when I did live in XXXX my son had Medicaid coverage. I am not even sure if it was for my son or for myself because no information was given when I called. When they sent the notice of garnishment it was sent to numerous places. I contacted an attorney XXXX XXXX and they got some information and I have proof I was never served and I had no notice of this bill. They are threatening my livelihood over a supposed medical bill that has to be over 12-13 years old. Can you please assist me. The following is from my attorney who is unable to assist as they are not licensed in XXXX garnished. The address on XXXX XXXX was your last address in IXXXX in XXXX ( your mothers house ). No one there on whom to substitute serve you you had moved to XXXX. ( House sold? ) After final judgment was entered, of course you were not aware that garnishment proceedings started. Plaintiff tried to garnish company in XXXX with same company name ( sort of ) as you work for. They signed green cards but that wasnt your employer and is not affiliated with your employer. Still no good service not at XXXX XXXX address on documents. ( Even if they managed to serve you in XXXX, they never served you Then finally the Plaintiff got service on the garnishment Order after the XXXX company you work for Was sold to the XXXX entity. But still you were never served the underlying complaint. XXXX

Professional & Business Collections Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IN XXXX have taken me to court in Indiana, for XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX originally filed XX/XX/XXXX and dismissed several times by Indiana for a wage garnishment for an illegally obtained medical bill which is a violation of HIPAA rights. They have never reached out to me providing me any signed documentation that I owe them. When I went to the original court appearance they tried to get me to sign legal documentations listing incorrect dates with no explanation ; stating that I would pay them. I refused and asked to go before the judge. which seemed to annoy them. They are conducting illegal business practices that I would like to be looked into.
