Jon Curtis, the attorney who collects money for all the XXXX and to take their homes, worked for XXXX when we had them for XXXX XXXX XXXX. I filed for bankruptcy to keep my car in XXXXish. When I got out of bankruptcy, Jon said that the Trustee didn't give him some money and I needed to pay the full amount of {$1000.00} that day. He refused to take any payments for my XXXX, stating he needed me to pay the full amount of a little over {$1000.00} that he claimed the courts didn't send him. He didn't want it paid in pieces. He was very demanding and mean over the phone. I called the Trustees who confirmed that all the money he requested he was given to him. He took none of my XXXX payments after that demand. My payment was returned. He then garnished my paycheck instead. I had to do a slow pay. Even though the judge granted the slow pay, he refused to honor it. When court was over, Jon claimed the board members were going to take my house, because they didn't want to take payments and they would not accept a slow pay. He then put me in foreclosure. I can't talk to anyone at my mortgage company because it has me in the foreclosure status. I talked to my board members who said they never said they wouldn't take the slow pay. They said they were ok with taking payment arrangements. Jon was lying about everything the whole time. I went to court to get a dismissal, and Jon and XXXX XXXX met me there and said the board will take payment arrangements. I found out my board members never told him that they wouldn't take the slow pay or payments. Jon told the board members that I had not honored a payment arrangement, but he told me the board wouldn't take any payment arrangement. I began to make large lump sum amounts, but Jon would constantly call and ask for more. I made over {$1000.00} month some months. When I asked him why he continued to call me, he said he would get letters asking the progress of the case. I told him we had just talked the other day and had an arrangement. Why couldn't he tell them them the arrangement. He would call and tell me to think on the numbers and he would call me back. He would tell me to do the research so he wouldn't have to charge me as much. Every time I gave him a number I could pay, but he would do the calculations himself .... each time he was telling me these same numbers that I was paying monthly. This went on for a long time. Jon Curtis charged me legal fees that were just as much as the bogus fees he charged me for my XXXX dues. There were 3 payments I had receipts for that he didn't even have credited to my account. Jon Curtis constantly harassed me, despite my making payments to him directly for my HOA for an extended amount of time. He was constantly calling me and then charging me for the un needed calls and emails he would send me. He would call me and ask me if I was working, then he would say this time it would be much faster to take my condo away and to make sure I keep sending money in. He was very unprofessional in the way he talked to me. The last conversation I had with him, I refuse to have any conversations with him via letter, email, or phone. He talked down to me like I was trash. He said the account was behind because of me. He said I didn't make payments, though I was making between XXXX a month. Before that I was making sometimes {$1000.00}. He also didn't credit my account for the next month if I made multiple payments saying some payments were late. I was ahead.

I live in an HOA ( XXXX XXXX ) and I have monthly payments of XXXX. I had a payment for XX/XX/XXXX which usually should have a late fee if not payed on time. I waited and paid both for XXXX and XXXX with late fees on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a mail from a debt collector on XX/XX/XXXX stating I owe XXXX $ in fees for lawyer and title search for not making payment XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. According to the lawyer, my XXXX supposedly sent me a late notice on XX/XX/XXXX and they sent it to collection on XX/XX/XXXX. I have never received a mail for late notice. I also want the day to be noted XX/XX/XXXX is a Friday and they had sent it to collection on Monday. What is the point of sending a late notice on Friday if debt is sent to collection on Monday. When was the person supposed to be addressing the issue. Now, when I have received the mail in XXXX I had already paid all my XXXX fees at least two weeks prior to debt collector contacting me. The debt collector and my XXXX are fully aware on the XX/XX/XXXX that I have paid my full amount but they have locked my account so i don't make payment for XXXX and send me debt collection fees for debt I do not owe anymore. This is a very unfair and deceptive way to take advantage of civilians. The creditor/XXXX is also a very difficult association that is impossible to contact when I need help with making payment. There is no phone number to contact them and they do not respond to emails, which makes me very much certain that they did not send me any notification. They have my full address, email and phone number. That is at least three different ways they could have contacted me before they send fees that are not even two months late to a debt collector. Regardless. This debt was fully paid on XX/XX/XXXX and debt collector contacted me in XXXX. So yes, I had already paid in full the amount I owe. This complaint should be distributed to the debt collector and the creditor/XXXX XXXX XXXX in order to be addressed appropriately.
