XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from the law firm of John Bonewicz for demand of a XXXX account that I never opened. I wrote them a letter explaining that this debt was not mine and requested verification of the debt and more information about the account in which I never received. XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving harassing phone calls from this debt collector on my cell phone ( which to this day I have no idea how they got that number for I never gave it to them ). On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter ( notice to cure ) from the law office of John C. Bonewicz stating that I failed to make the agreed payments and was in default. First off, I never agreed to anything or entered into any type of contract with the law office of John C. Bonewicz or their client XXXX XXXX or the cited original creditor of XXXX. Secondly their citing the date of the last payment was about 4 1/2 years ago and I have never paid anything on this debt. They sent me XXXX different letters XXXX demanding a payment of {$4600.00} and another letter demanding payment of {$1500.00} ( XXXX letters arrived on the same day ). I am on XXXX and food stamps and own nothing so even if these debts were mine ( which their not ) I could never come up with that kind of money.

I am submitting this complaint against John C. Boewicz PC because while I was trying to settle a debt of {$3500.00} they began to garnish my wages without any warning. I was negotiating over the phone with them since XXXX 2017 . I even sent them a couple of faxes explaining that despite my financial hardship I was willing to settle. I started with {$750.00} then I counter offered {$1100.00}. They asked for proof of funds and I even faxed that over. Within a week from my last fax they had already garnished {$85.00}. I called to ask XXXX XXXX XXXX , who I was negotiating with, why they were taking money if I already had asked for a settlement. He responded that he and his " superior '' figured this was the best option for them. I never was told they were going to garnish. What was the point then faxing over proof of funds? Today they garnished {$75.00}. I am a divorced woman and I do not make what my ex husband use to make. I have XXXX children to provide for. I feel that they took action to quickly and left me in the dark on purpose. Attached is the proof of faxes I sent them.

Hello I have a loan serviced through XXXX that is a private student loan, it is current. However, the loan was sold and re-sold from XXXX to XXXX to XXXX bank and is back at XXXX. The law office of John Bonewicz ( XXXX ) Persists in calling my friends ' parents to get in touch with me.I have never resided at this address or provided this phone number as a contact number. They refuse to acknowledge that they called my friend 's parents number, a number which I do n't even know. When I called to indicate they should delete all contact numbers aside from my cell phone they refused to do so unless I acknowledged that I owed them a debt. I do not in fact owe them a debt as my loan is current and serviced by XXXX, when I spoke with XXXX they indicated that they never authorize 3rd party collection calls. I 'd like to know how to get them to stop calling. thanks, XXXX
